Hi, how much is the additional current consumption enabling the FSM on LSM6DSOX? Regards

Hi All,I'm working with an STM32f091xC on a new design and I'm currently tryingto enable stop mode to conserve power without fully entering standbymode. I seem to be entering stop mode properly, but I'm having quite abit of trouble exiting stop mode.I created a sample application using Zephyr RTOS that targets the nucleo_f091rc. It configuresthe user button as an interrupt source. The Main thread goes into stop mode after 5 secondsand the user has to press the button to wake it up. I also configured the main thread to togglethe on-board LED every 100ms to indicate the main thread is running. I have attached the source code for the example for your review. Although this was implemented with anunaffiliated RTOS, the STM32 LL and HAL support is pretty identical to the STM32Cube librariesand other CMSIS code that's available for STM32 development. The general pattern I'm following for entering/exiting stop mode is as follows:* Set the regulator state in STOP mode: LL_PWR_SetPowerMode(LL_PWR

I'm trying to debug a 429 FreeRTOS app using LwIP, which periodically has a huge (1.5 second) delay whilst trying to pump out messages. Using Atollic 9.1.0, Segger debug code on Nucleo-429ZI board. I can stop the application when it pauses, but the FreeRTOS plug-in is not being helpful. In particular, I cannot see the current context for each FreeRTOS task in the debugger as expected (I cannot see the source line where each task is blocked). What's the secret sauce to get this to work properly?I have the following enabled (as I've found necessary for debugging FreeRTOS apps using other toolchains):#define configTASKRETURNADDRESS 0 // place 0 task return address on stack to help FreeRTOS-aware debugger (GDB unwind thread stack) #define INCLUDE_xTaskGetSchedulerState 1 #define INCLUDE_pcTaskGetTaskName 1 #define INCLUDE_uxTaskGetStackHighWaterMark 1 #define configGENERATE_RUN_TIME_STATS 1 #define configUSE_TRACE_FACILITY 1What am I missing? Thanks!Best Regards, Dave

We use B-L072Z-LRWAN1 (Murata TypeABZ) dev board, where we were able to set-up clock sources to use HSI (@32MHz with PLL - HW_SetHSEasSysClock(void)) instead of HSE during Sigfox transmission. From the firmware perspective, everything is fine, but we were unable to receive data (Sigfox infrastructure), while the same HW with HSE is OK.As the sigfox stack is closed, we don't know if we can do more...What is the reason behind HSE usage? Is it the hard-requirement, or not? Is it possible to set-up HSI somehow?

Posted on June 19, 2017 at 20:00We're using the LIS2HH12 accelerometer and there's a temperature sensor listed in the datasheet accessible via the temp_L and temp_H registers (16 bits). However the numbers I get don't make any sense. The datasheet mentions 'Temperature sensor output change vs. temperature' of 8 digit/C11-bit resolution, -40 to 80C range and that the it uses two's complement, but I can't find a way to make the readings return any meaningful value. What do these temp_L and temp_H numbers really mean? Thank you.#lis2hh12 #temperature-sensor

I am trying to access the STM32L432KC internal bootloader through BOOT0(PH3) pin. Option bytes are set as - 0x0FFFF8AAie.nSWBOOT0 = 1nBOOT1 = 1BOR_LEV  = 000RDP(Read protection level) = 0xAA (read protection inactive)This is how option bytes are configured in the code---/* Unlock Flash CR register */ if(HAL_FLASH_Unlock() == HAL_OK) { /* Unlock Options Byte Register */ if(HAL_FLASH_OB_Unlock() == HAL_OK) { /* Set nSWBOOT0 pin so that BOOT0 taken from PH3/BOOT0 pin */ SET_BIT(FLASH->OPTR, FLASH_OPTR_nSWBOOT0); /* Settting nBOOT1 bit */ SET_BIT(FLASH->OPTR, FLASH_OPTR_nBOOT1); /* Setting the Options Start bit OPTSTRT */ SET_BIT(FLASH->CR, FLASH_CR_OPTSTRT); /* Wait for last operation to be completed */ FLASH_WaitForLastOperation((uint32_t)FLASH_TIMEOUT_VALUE); if(HAL_FLASH_OB_Lock() == HAL_OK) { HAL_FLASH_Lock(); HAL_FLASH_OB_Launch(); } } }On debugging, option bytes are found to be modified according to the above

I need to take input fractional values from user through UI built via TouchGFX.There is a separate Dot button on my UI keypad. But, I am not able to print it on the screen. Please help me for above problem. Just a short clue on what to use will also be sufficient. Sharing the photo of my keypad here with.

HiI got an STM32MP157C-DK2 during the Embedded World. But Windows7 isn't detecting the DFU ... It detects only the STLink (UART) ....Same issue in a Ubuntu-16 (which is running in VirtualBox on the same Windows 7)Any suggestion?Regards Francesco

I want to tune the Cin, Clen and Cout variable caps on the ST25RU3993 Eval kit. I have modified the Evaluation kit to use a different micro controller, however im using the same source code with very minor modification (to suit the pins that I am using on my micro). When I set capacitor values I then call the GetReflectedPower function which in turn calls the GetADC. However my ADC seems to always return 0. Am I missing something with the hardware set up? I have attached a code sample for clarity.

I have checked and re-checked this. Also used another USB to I2C converter and can read the registers just fine. Put an I2C analyzer on the setup and I see no activity when the GUI program starts.Today on Github I found a HwCheckUtility.exe file. It launches, finds the com port and then indicates it found the I2C device at 0x28 address. I also see the scan on the logic analyzer. I am now at a loss as to what do next.GUI version is 1.06S. Thanks

HelloI have TIM3 set up like so:ABP1 Timer clock = 84 MHzPrescaler = 8399Period 9999Update event selected as triggerNVIC enabled for TIM3 global interruptThis gives me a timer interrupt every 1 second. But it appears as though the callback HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback is called immediately after I call HAL_TIM_Base_Start_IT(&htim3) and then in intervals of 1 second thereafter. Why does the period elapse immediately after starting the timer? Is there a way to get around this?

Not sure if I messed something up. Signal is okay (on the pin). No differences with layout compared to other inputs. ADC is at full speed (16 MHz).On image it is sensor 22 (reads ~2500). Sensor 23, 24, 25 all read normal values (~3000).Voltages on all those pins is ~2.8V.VREF, VDDA, VDD = 3.3V.

Hello,Where can i find example for STM32F7 of external IRQ programmation ?(how to tell system which pin to use for EXTI_Line, add IRQ vector to NVIC...)thank for any supportbest regards

Posted on February 12, 2016 at 09:33Hi everybody,does anybody know if SPC MCUs libraries are available for Altium Designer?Where could I find them?Thank you,Cel #spc #altium-designer #library

I do not quite understand paragraph 29.3 "Modes of operation" of RM0045 Reference Manual for SPC 56D Line MCUs. It says:Can my firmware change the protection dynamically, i.e. protect resp. unprotect registers? Is there any register that can get the source of reset?                                                NOTE: This question and answer originated from a customer support case which was handled by us. Has anybody implemented a small compiler that runs on an STM32 M3 or M7 to produce code for itself. Must be a compiler, not interpreter, as runtime speed is paramount. Doesn't need to be a complete C++ instruction set, a mini-C or something like that would be fine.

I see reference to the jumper between D2 and GND, but I don't see any explanation regarding it's use and when it should be on or when it should be off. I'd like an explanation of this jumper please.

Hi, I´m doing a project in which I have to programm an android app which shall write and read the mailbox. Using the ST25DV Demo app I figured out, how to read and write the Mailbox. A nice feature of the app should be, that I can read the tag and choos between various apps which can handle the technology. What I want is: I read the Tag, then there is a android dialoge which shows my app that I can choose to open. My Android-Manifest contains following code:<intent-filter> <action android:name="android.intent.action.MAIN" /> <category android:name="android.intent.category.LAUNCHER" /></intent-filter><intent-filter> <action android:name="android.nfc.action.TECH_DISCOVERED" /> <category android:name="android.intent.category.DEFAULT"/> <data android:mimeType="text/plain" /></intent-filter><intent-filter> <action android:name="android.nfc.action.NDEF_DISCOVERED" /> <category android:name="android.intent.category.DEFAULT"/&

Hello,When using external NOR is it reasonable to configure its memory addresses as cacheable or should it always be configured as NON-cacheable?If it is cacheable it means that when executing a programming nor command, it is not yet written into device.Only if PROGRAM_TIMEOUT is large enough then validation works (write, read and compare) HAL_NOR_Program(&norHandle, (uint32_t *)(NOR_DEVICE_ADDR + uwStartAddress), pData);   if(HAL_NOR_GetStatus(&norHandle, NOR_DEVICE_ADDR, PROGRAM_TIMEOUT) != HAL_NOR_STATUS_SUCCESS) ....Why a large timeout result in validation suceess ? Does it mean that only after this timeout the data was actually writted into device (in cacheable mapping scenario) ? I've configured NOR address in MPU as non cacheable and thing behave better: the timeout can be lowered to 0 , and there is also the certainty that each NOR programming reaches NOR device. Shouldn't it be always configured as non cahceable also in examples ?Thank you for any comment, ranra

I am using IPS160H switch as a power switch input to DC/DC converters. But now I am confused to see a discrepancy between the data sheet and the STEVAL-IFP028V1 evaluation board schematics how to power the chip (Vcc). a) In IPS160H datasheet it says that pins 1 and 12 should be connected to Vcc: b) But in schematic diagram of STEVAL-IFP028V1 Evaluation Board (AN4781) pins 1 and 12 not connected: So my question is: Which of above pin connection diagram is correct?NOTE: This question and answer originated from a customer support case which was handled by us. In USART2 interrupt service routine ISR is read                isrval = USART2->ISR;Stopping at breakpoint just before this statement, Keil debugger shows ISR value 0x000000F8.Stepping one step (to read this ISR), value in  ISR changes to 0x000000D8.But, what ist this: 'isrval' is also 0x000000D8!!!.This means RXNE flag is lost(!), in ISR AND in isrval and cannot further be evaluated.Any suggestions

Hi guys, I have a STM32L4R9I-DISCO board. I create a touchgfx project from Application Template for this disco board. After that I can run simulator, generate code and run target without problem. I can see my application in disco board's LCD. I will use Keil for code development. I see in the webinar videos there should be a Keil folder in the Target folder . But in my situtation there are "bsp" + "gcc" + "IAR" + "IAR8.x" + "os" + "main.cpp". Why Keil folder can not be created?
