Solved

Hi, I'm using the example "BLE_SensorDemo_Central" from SDK to design a PoC to scan iBeacons devices.I can't figure out why the scan procedure is too slow. I have two iBeacon devices near by the BlueNRG-1. They are sending iBeacon messages in 3Hz, but the BlueNRG is not fast enough to get the packages. What am I doing wrong?I understood that the method "Master_DeviceDiscovery()" set the scan parameters, right? I couldn't find on documentation the min or max for scan interval or scan window. What do I need to do to get best performance from BlueNRG-1 on scan mode? I don't need to connect, just get the iBeacon messages.Thank you!

First of all I am very new to application development with ST-Electronic device shields.I have following devices with me,X-NUCLEO-NFC05A1 - NFC expansion shieldNucleo 64 : F401RE board.I was doing some samples with ARM Mbed online compiler.I want to access external NFC tag's content via NFC05A1 expansion board in ARM Mbed. However, I was not able to find a correct library for NFC05A1 expansion board in ARM Mbed. But, I found a sample and a library for different version of NFC shield : https://os.mbed.com/components/X-NUCLEO-NFC01A1/ and this is not compatible with the NFC05A1.I was wondering whether there is a library which I can use in ARM Mbed to access NFC functionality in X-NUCLEO-NFC05A1 board.Note: I found a following CUBE sample for this expansion board but, I do not think this can be used in ARM Mbed as a library.https://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/products/embedded-software/mcu-mpu-embedded-software/stm32-embedded-software/stm32cube-expansion-packages/x-cube-nfc5.html

its needed, but its not there :(>make: *** No rule to make target `../../../../STM32Cube/Repository/STM32Cube_FW_F7_V1.14.0where do I find this file ?

Hello,I'm using ST25R3911 with my own board, and I need to read a ISO14443A/NFC-A T2T card, like NTAG213/6. I'm using the ST25R3911 DISCO FW 1.28 files. The card is correctly detected, and I'm able to read the UID, but when I try to select the sector to read using the rfal_t2t files (rfalT2TPollerSectorSelect function) I obtain a 04 error due to timeout. My function:bool PollNFCA() { ReturnCode err; rfalNfcaSensRes sensRes; rfalNfcaSelRes selRes; rfalNfcaListenDevice nfcaDevList[EXAMPLE_NFCA_DEVICES]; uint8_t devCnt; uint8_t devIt; bool found = false;   rfalNfcaPollerInitialize(); // Initialize RFAL for NFC-A rfalFieldOnAndStartGT(); // Turns the Field On and starts GT timer //---------------------------------------------------------------------------- // Perform NFC-A Technology detection err = rfalNfcaPollerTechnologyDetection( RFAL_COMPLIANCE_MODE_NFC, &sensRes ); // Poll for nearby NFC-A devices if(err == ERR_NONE) // NFC-A type card found { err = r

I follow the instructions here:https://docs.zephyrproject.org/latest/boards/arm/nucleo_wb55rg/doc/nucleowb55rg.htmlI've built the .elf file, how do I flash this to my board? I see my board connected as a drive, I copy the elf file over but when I disconnect and reconnect it has disappeared.I'm on linux.

Using RF I am able to activate mailbox/fast transfer mode using this process :Present passwordWrite static GPO => replace former GPO with 0xB0Write MB Mode => 1Write MB CTRL Dyn => 1Now I need to deactivate the mailbox with I2C. I am following this process :Present passwordWrite static GPO => former GPOWrite MB Mode => 0I can see the values are right in the register. However whenever I approach the ST25 app on Android, it says the mailbox is still activated, preventing me from being able to write anything on the EEPROM (error returned : 0x0f)Is there something I am missing ? Thanks

Hi all, for those who are trying to use an external power supply on the STM32F746G-DISCO, yesterday we found that on the two cards we are using for our development, the solder on JP2 connector creates a shortcut... preventing the card to be used that way. Hello,Is there a way to change the color of a botton directly from the code? Thanks.

Hello,Where can i find the bsdl file for STM32F107VC?Thanks,Alexandre

I have a problem with QSPI. I try everything, but program doesn't work.I am using STM32F746 series MCU and I am trying to interface with a quad spi memory from Winbond (W25Q16JV).I am following the example found in this location:(I modified some interface like STM32F769⇒STM32F746)STM32Cube_FW_F7_V1.15.0\STM32Cube_FW_F7_V1.15.0\Projects\STM32F769I_EVAL\Examples\QSPI\QSPI_ReadWrite_DMA\SrcSo far, I have been able to enable writing by executing 06h(Write enable) command and pool for the QE bit setting(set to be 1) by using command 31h(Register-2 Write). This seems to work. But, I read the QE bit using command 35h(Register-2 Read), QE bit never be 1.Could someone know this solution? I want to get how to set QE bit setting to be 1.My enviroments1) MCU:STM32F7462) Flash ROM:Winbond (W25Q16JV)uint8_t ucRegister2;static void QSPI_QuadEnableCfg( void ){ QSPI_CommandTypeDef sCommand; QSPI_AutoPollingTypeDef sConfig; /* Read Volatile Configuration register ----------------------

Hi Martin,I started to create a basic window with a background bitmap and some widgets, buttons and sliders but found I could not resize the widgets. I am missing something basic. In response to my last post you mentioned stickies, what are they?Kind RegardsMikeZ

Hello,I have gone through the KB articles of TouchGFX. But I think they are very shallow. Not able to found how memory management is done. I know a good graphical system needs lots of RAM so touch gfx needs external SDRAM. Ok I have got SDRAM. But how it uses the SD RAM? Normally software uses dynamic memory allocation for such purpose (example when it allocates memory for screen buffers or caching(loading) bitmaps). But in embedded system we cant easily use dynamic memory so some kind of tricks are implemented. I am not able to find out how TouchGFX uses dynamic memory? Where we define the area which is used for caching bitmaps.

Hello,I have donwloaded the STM32CUBE FW pack for F1 modules.I tested 2 of them: a UART_PRINTF example and a PWR example, for the F100 Discovery board. Both examples work well, and I want to add UART capability to the PWR example. How does one do it?I tries to copy all relevant files and relevant code to the PWR example, and it builds and runs without errors, but upon printing, nothing happens.

I've followed this article to configure a CubeMX project with TouchGFX graphics and IAR Embedded Workbench: https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360019884752-Configuring-STM32F746G-DISCOI got it working several times, but suddenly the linker gives an error:Error[Lp011]: section placement failed       unable to allocate space for sections/blocks with a total estimated minimum size of 0x10'1d00 bytes (max align 0x4) in <[0x9000'0000-0x9010'0000]> (total uncommitted space 0x10'0001). Error while running LinkerMy application consists of a clock (made with this tutorial: https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360018667192-Step-1-Setting-up-the-two-Screens) a using some hardware pins. (Blinking an LED and UART.)All help is appreciated.

The S/W included in this Discovery Kit is nice as a demo, but as expected, I would like to tailor it to my application. I have not found any listing for the entire S/W included in the DK, perhaps because it is proprietary and the demo is basically an advertisement for buying TouchGFX, etc. However, I don't want to buy anything... I have already bought the DK and want to use the H/W (and if possible parts of the S/W) for my own projects.is there a listing of the entire S/W?if not, I need to understand how to drive the graphics display... as a minimum and I haven't found this info, but it must be around somewhere. Thanks,

When I upload my code the controller it was working fine for few cycles after that it gets stuck somewhere else and the code is not running. I checked it with the debugging mode in that when I run the code is working fine and when it gets struck I stopped the program the breakpoint appears into the hardfault_handler.could someone help me oi solve the issue if I tried to upload the same code into another controller if was working good Thanks in advance

Hello,I'm working for the first time with an ST-LINK V2 on a Windows 10 laptop, and it doesn't work with an MCU or without it.I am trying to isolate a problem, so I connecteed the ST-LINK on its own, without any attached wires, besides the USB that connects it to the computer. When I'm connecting it to the laptop. I get STM32 STLink in the device manager. On STM32 Cube Programmer, when I try to connect to it, I get the following:When I try to update its firmware, I get the following:Is This normal? If not, what does it indicate? how may I fix this? Thanks!

Actually we used this part "ST25DV64K" in our design, For pins AC0 and AC1 need the best tuning circuit , if possible Please can you share the circuit ?

I have generated the code (LED PB7 GPIO_OUT) by using STM32Cube Mx for MDK ARM5. While loading the code , I am getting following error.Contents mismatch at: 08001000H (Flash=00H Required=31H) !I have resolve this issue by erasing the flash using ST-LINK UTILITY after that code is loading first time but it's not executing (PB7 LED not blinking) then I reconnect the USB and it seems LED PB7 blinking. If again I am trying to dump the same code , I am getting same above error..Can you please provide the solution to resolve this issue.

My environment is Nucleo-F446RE(STM32F446) with TrueSTUDIO / CubeMX on Windows 10.I tried to get a 6MHz frequency signal by Input Capture module. However, modules often skip timer values./* Private user code ---------------------------------------------------------*/ /* USER CODE BEGIN 0 */ uint16_t captures[240]; void HAL_TIM_IC_CaptureCallback(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim) { if (htim->Channel == HAL_TIM_ACTIVE_CHANNEL_3) { } }   void HAL_TIM_IC_CaptureHalfCpltCallback(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim) { if (htim->Channel == HAL_TIM_ACTIVE_CHANNEL_3) { } } /* USER CODE END 0 */   int main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ HAL_TIM_IC_Start_DMA(&htim2, TIM_CHANNEL_3, captures, 120); /* USER CODE END 2 */ }  This is an example of an aquired buffer(captures[240]) on my environment. [825, 840, 856, 864, 2653, 2668, 2684, 2700, 4465, 4481, 4497...]Interval between signals are should always from 10 to 20, but it has more than 2000.This problem doesn't occur when I change

Hello,I am bringing up an SPC570S50E1. Using the dev kit I am able to successfully bring up and run some simple code, but I observe a clock division for the clock going into the core. When I route out clockout with a divider of zero and sysclk running from the crystal, I observe a 40 MHz oscillation on the clockout pin. However, when I write assembly code that toggles a GPIO pin every clock cycle, I observe that the clock cycles take 200 ns each, suggesting a 8x clock division happening between the clock stage that the clockout feeds from and the clock stage that the processor core feeds from. (If I run the core from the internal 16 MHz oscillator, I observe the same division behavior). I cannot find any registers or configuration bits in the manual that describe such an 8x clock division. Please let me know if this 8x division is inherent or if there is some way to disable it, so that each clock cycle indeed takes 25 ns. Thank you very much,Anton

1)    Could you please tell how to enable “Divide by Zero? exception for SPC56EL60 controller ?2)    What happens if exception is not enabled, what is the behavior of controller ?NOTE: This question and answer originated from a customer support case which was handled by us.
