Hello,We want to make a custom board having STM32 and supported by TouchGFX.We currently have been evaluating STM32L4R9I EVAL board and the controller used is STM32L4R9AI which is BGA package. For our custom board we want to use controller with LQFP package of the same family and series as the above controller. The alternative found was STM32L4R9VIT6 which is of LQFP package. So wanted to know if the LQFP package alternative controller to the EVAL board controller will be supported by TouchGFX or not. Thanks,Ameya

I cannot find an implementation of the Easing Equations class functions. But when used in code, it works.Where can I find the implementation of functions?

When STM32CubeProgrammer first connects to my STM32F7779I-EVAL board, it fails to read the QSPI Flash. All Flash memory appears as '0's. Loading and unloading the external loader (MT25QL512A_STM32769I-EVAL) makes no difference.  If I erase an arbitrary unused sector, I can then read the rest of the Flash successfully.I'm experiencing different issues with my own Flash driver. In my case after I have programmed the board, I have to power cycle the board before I can read the QSPI Flash. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Could there be a compatibility issue with STM32F769I and STM32F779I?Cheers,David

I have this problem on win10 and ArchLinux. On-board st-link can't find Cortex-A and Cortex-M core.ArchLinux dmesg log:New USB device found, idVendor=0483, idProduct=3752, bcdDevice= 1.00 New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3 Product: STM32 STLink Manufacturer: STMicroelectronics SerialNumber: 066DFF303739465043114138STM32CubeProgrammer(v2.1.0) can't find st-link. ST-LINK Utility (v4.4.0) find st-link, but not find target (Detection Fail).I installed STSW-LINK009 driver (win10) and rules on Archlinux. Firmware version on-board st-link: V2.J32.M22

I've created a large (8192 byte) array I want to put in Flash memory with the code, It compiles fine but the data doesn't appear in any of the output files. Is there a switch or something I'm missing in STM32CubeIDE ? It's in the main declarations so doesn't need static.const uint16_t   LogSine[4096] = {32768,32963,33155,33345,33532,33717 ........ };

I got the latest version of STM32 Cortex®-M4 programming manual ( ver 7.0) from ST website. But its bookmarks are very messy and I can't stand it. So I'm looking for an old version of the programming manual (e.g. ver 6.0). However, I don't know where it is available.

We are using ST32H743BI in an our project because of it having 3 of 16bits ADCs. But we can not reach resolution that project needed. I checked a simple project "STM32Cube_FW_H7_V1.3.0\Projects\STM32H743ZI-Nucleo\Examples\ADC\ADC_OverSampler" on NUCLEO demoboard. It gives good results for over-sampling value 1024. But we need 250 Ksmps for each channels so the best result I reached is;for parameters;AdcHandle.Init.Oversampling.Ratio         = 3;AdcHandle.Init.Oversampling.RightBitShift     = ADC_RIGHTBITSHIFT_2;sConfig.SamplingTime = ADC_SAMPLETIME_16CYCLES_5;results;Average value = 11Minimum value = 0Maximum value = 188it means we can reach maximum 13bits resolution. I want to know do we have to accept these values normal or is there any better analogue design methods ? May be ST published some analogue reference design papers for ST32 family microcontrollers.

Firstly I tried Httpserver demo and it worked properly. I tried to recompile it with different configuration (different IP address, DHCP on, LCD of...) and all of them worked well.I also tried to run UDP echo server demo and I succeed.I tried to do the same process with the TCP echo server demo, but the display did not show anything and the board did not reply to the ping command. Doeas anybody have any idea which is the difference between tcp echo server demo and the other two?I downloaded the source code from here:https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stsw-stm32070.htmlI loaded the generated *.hex file into the flash memory of the MCU with the in-circuit ST-LINK/V2 tool (using simple USB A-B cable).I use Cube IDE development toolchain to compile the code.

i have struggling with USB HS interface in stm32f407. please any have a experience let me know.

I have generated code from CubeMX for STM32L462CE controller for using the RTOS but it is not working as expected. I attached the CubeMX file. Is there any setting missed in CubemX? Please help me.

It looks like ST only provides bin file to controls Radio, even reference manual also doesn't mention too much on the Radio system. I am wondering if there is any way to log all PHY payload of a PAN coordinator? Does anybody have experience on this? The reason I want to do so because I want to learn low level knowledge of 802.15.4 protocol.Thank you!

I have a PCB design for STM32F446RE, but after I soldered all the decouple capacitors, the BOOT0 pull down and the MCU, I tried to power it and connect with ST-LINK v2. But the MCU keeps heating and I can't connect. I've searched many times for short circuits and I couldn't find any. What may I am doing wrong? P.s: : I know that the Crystal Circuit is wrong

I've my LCD backlight control on STM32F429 pin PB4, and as a digital output it was fine. I chose this pin because it can be configured as a PWM output.I've set up TIM3 Ch1 in CubeMX. I just want a free-running PWM with a dynamically configurable duty cycle, so I can set my backlight to 'bright', 'medium' or 'dim' settings.I'm getting no signal on PB4, it is just sitting high.Did I miss something? Is there an 'enable' or 'start' instruction I need to add?

Hello,I am looking for a document or online resource that lists the available functions and provides information on their functionality, inputs and outputs. For example, if searching for HAL I2C functions, then can use this:http://www.disca.upv.es/aperles/arm_cortex_m3/llibre/st/STM32F439xx_User_Manual/group__i2c__exported__functions.htmlHowever, looking for an official ST document or link to online resource. Thanks!

1. Background infoI'm designing a board for an STM32F767ZI microcontroller. This microcontroller has a primary oscillator for the `SYSCLK` (overall system clock) and a secondary oscillator for the `RTCCLK` (real-time clock).I selected the following crystal for the primary oscillator:  > NX3225GD-8MHZ-EXS00A-CG04874‎ [DigiKey: 644-1391-1-ND‎]And the following crystal for the secondary oscillator:  ‎> NX3215SA-32.768KHZ-EXS00A-MU00525‎ [DigiKey: 644-1386-1-ND‎]I selected the same crystals as those on the NUCLEO-F767ZI board from STMicroelectronics.2. Recommendations from STMicroelectronicsThe chip manufacturer recommends to provide a separate local GND-plane underneath each crystal. This GND-plane must be tied to the nearest GND-pin on the chip. I got that from Application Note AN2867:https://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/application_note/c6/eb/5e/11/e3/69/43/eb/CD00221665.pdf/files/CD00221665.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.CD00221665.pdf.T

In debug mode, __HAL_DBGMCU_FREEZEZE_IWD() was used to stop the IWDG. Later, the HAL_Delay() function results in an infinite waiting state. I'd appreciate it if you could let me know the cause and solution.

Hello.I'm using STM32L476RGT and I have a question regarding uart error recovery.MCU is talk to slave MCU via UART, actually rs485.Now main MUC is talking to 3 slave MCUs via UART and it's working well but randomly, there happening uart error.Error code was overrun error so I disabled overrun error at CubeMx tool and this error disappeared but there happening another error, "noise error".When I get "HAL_UART_ErrorCallback()", I de-initialize uart and initialize again and waiting for next data via uart but it didn't work as I expected, even though uart data coming , there is no interrupt happening.I use below code when I get error callback.void HAL_UART_ErrorCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart) { uint16_t err = 0;   if(huart->Instance == rs485Port) { ERR("485 ERR...%d\n", huart->ErrorCode); ERR("gState 0x04%x, RxState 0x04%x\n", huart->gState, huart->RxState);   err = huart->Instance->RDR; err = huart->Instance->ISR; err = huart->Instance

hi.When I try to open the project file, it does not respond and it does not go any further.Perhaps this is happening since the update.attaching debug information, please confirm.

Hi!I have a basic code - blinking LED code which uses onboard LED (PC13). The problem is that it doesn't toggle at all, it just stay switched on and doesn't go off after delay. I've tested that code in debug mode and everything worked fine, it toggled, but it doesn't work out of debug. I can't get why it works only during debugging and how to fix that. Hello all.We have STemWin properly running on STM32L4R7, but STemWin uses quite a large amount of CPU time to draw display contents etc. We cannot allow that, because we have a time critical task to do (RealTime). So the sollution would be: use RTOS. We managed to setup RTOS nicely, switching between tasks by using "osDelay" works fine. But when we add STemWin the Gui_Exec takes quite long and needs to be interrupted by preeption. When this occurs, the PendSV Handler the instruction "ldmia.w r0!,{R4-R11,R14} crashes and jumps into the hard fault handler. Has anyone successfully used RTOS and STemWin with preemption on STM32L4Rx ?Thanks for any help.Attached project is generated with CubeMX5.2.1 for SW4STMWe use an FMC based Display. We didn't do anything fancy. We just configured the project with CubeMX. All libs and settings are provided by CubeMX Code Generation. What the __STM32F?xx_HAL_VERSION constant, defined in stm32f?xx_hal.c (where ? is STM32 cpu series) is for ?I would like to use this constant to check at compile time and display at run time what is the HAL library used in the firmware...But with my surprise, I discovered that the values defined is totally misaligned with the HAL version number....just to report here some example:Real HAL Version: STM32Cube_FW_F0_V1.10.0 --> __STM32F3xx_HAL_VERSION is defined as : 0x01070100and the file stm32f0xx_hal.c Contains:........../**  * @brief STM32F0xx HAL Driver version number V1.7.1 */#define __STM32F0xx_HAL_VERSION_MAIN  (0x01) /*!< [31:24] main version */#define __STM32F0xx_HAL_VERSION_SUB1  (0x07) /*!< [23:16] sub1 version */#define __STM32F0xx_HAL_VERSION_SUB2  (0x01) /*!< [15:8] sub2 version */#define __STM32F0xx_HAL_VERSION_RC   (0x00) /*!< [7:0] release candidate */ #define __STM32F0xx_HAL_VERSIO

I wanted to test event groups to replace a bin semaphore and as the title says, i can't enable xEventGroupSetBitFromISR on CMSISv1 nor CMSISv2 wrappers. Is there another way to enable that function? Maybe in a unofficial way?Regards,Carlos

I'm trying to enter STOP2 mode to save energy but the MCU get stuck in the function HAL_PWREx_EnterSTOP2Mode(PWR_STOPENTRY_WFI). I have cleared all EXTI pending flags and RTC flags, and disable all five wake up pins. The MCU is supposed to wake up via RTC alarm interrupt. The program resumes by clearing RTC flag and calling system clock config and gpio init functions.I have done this with STANDBY and SHUTDOWN modes without trouble, and I can't understand why I can't enter STOP2 mode as well. Anyone has got an idea?
