Solved

Hi, I'm getting this error message and have no clue how to resolve the problem?(I'm getting it while trying to instantiate from the code a custom container). Thanks in advance for your help!

I have tried debugging some of the BLE example projects for the Nucleo-WB55, specifically the BLE_HeartRateFreeRTOS and BLE_TransparentMode examples. During debug, the erase, program, and verify steps all complete successfully, but then shortly after, I start seeing "Target is not responding, retrying..." message and finally an error message about not being able to read the target. When I try to reprogram the device either through the debugger or STM32CubeProgrammer it fails saying "No device found on target."What is going wrong? How do I recover the board? The only way I've been able to recover is to copy a .bin I compiled from the Zephyr project for the WB55 to the ST_LINK drive and let it program that way.The CM0 is running the stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_fw.bin.

Hello, ST expertsSTM32F415RGT6 is used on custom board. Everything looks fine except that SDIO opertions. f_write function is called at an interval about 500ms to write 512Bytes to SD card. SDIO_CLK is 24MHz, 4bit bus wide. I really don't know why there are activities lasting 3ms on sdio_cmd pin.Best RegardsYang

Hello, in STM32F746 DISCO.Microsd detect pin is : PC13LCD touch interrupt is : PI13how to make use of both interrupts in the application ?

Hello, I am new to the embedded community and was facing a problem figuring out the pwm resolution of the STM32F030F4P6TR microcontroller. I went throught the datasheet and the user manual but did not find any solution to my problem.Thanks,Apurv.

No matter what I try, something as simple as printf("%f\n", 0.0) or printf("%f\n, 3.14159265359 for some reason produces a text string representing a negative, extremely long and seemingly random number. Opening project-settings on C/C++ Build -> Settings -> Tools Settings there is a checkbox with the text "Use float with printf from newlib-nano (-u _printf_float)", but enabling that doesn't change anything. Also, Eclipse still keeps complaining that there is no float-support (-u _printf_float), even though the flag is clearly visible on the command-line when compiling a project -- seemingly the only way of getting Eclipse to stop complaining is to manually add the flag to linker-settings. Doesn't fix printf, though. This is on the STM32CubeIde 1.0.0 and a STM32F103CBT6 -- no, there is no H/W-float. I'm left wondering if this is a bug or if I'm missing something. I mean, the checkbox is pretty clear and one would assume that it does what it says, but....(Disclaimer: this isn't an

Hello,I have built a board using the STM32G0 with the intention of utilizing the USB PD middleware. I pulled the middleware from STM32CubeG0 into my project, but I can't get it to build without errors. The USB PD demo project in the STM32CubeG0 does not look like it uses the stock middleware. Is there one that does?

I am trying to achieve the lowest power consumption possible when entering Stop2 mode with the STM32L476. I have verified that all of my GPIO are in the correct state before entering Stop2 mode. I am also very confident that it is not any external circuitry on my board at this point as I have done extensive testing. My current consumption is about 280 uA when entering stop2 mode. About 35 uA can me accounted for with the current draw of a couple of my external circuits. However, the MCU itself should be drawing around 3-5 uA. Are there any things someone can point me to to check in order to see what might be causing the problem? In my sleep projects code, I initialize the system clock, all gpios, and several peripherals. Then, I deinitialize all said peripherals, set my GPIOs to the proper settings, and then enter sleep mode.Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. I have been stuck on this for weeks.

I have been working with the trial version of the IAR IDE and with the STM32 processor family.I have been using the ST-Link/2 device to connect to my target for debugging with no problems.I began having a problem when starting debug, I am getting a message for the driver:Fatal error: ST-Link, No MCU device found / Session Aborted!I've tried updating the ST-Link firmware and reinstalling the driver but no luck.I've also installed the ST-Link Utility and this does not connect either. I find the same problem with several ST-Link devices and all target boards. However, a Nucleo board does function properly.Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi I am using the STM32L433 100 pin which has the internal 2.5v vref buffer for the ADC. I am getting readings, not accurate, from the adc . Looking at the data sheet the internal vrefbuf is tied directly to the VREF+ pin, and when I measure that pin it is 3v. I am doing the following to select the 2.5v, can any think of what I am doing wrong?ADC1->CR |= 1 << 28; //enable voltage reference VREFBUF->CSR = 0b101; //2.5v ref selected and Internal voltage reference enabledMany ThanksScott

I have generated a project in CubeIDE and I wish to redirect printf's output. Alas, neither of the methods I've found by googling work: writing a custom _write() - function does nothing, writing a custom __io_putchar() does nothing. These are the methods that many posts here on the forums have told one to use and they're also what the examples do and yet they don't work.Does the code generated by CubeIDE require some extra steps or what the hell is going on?

I am using an L6599A high voltage resonant controller in my AC/DC power supply, and I want to add a shutdown feature. I have pulled the STBY pin to GND of the chip, however the output continues to produce pulses. Latching shutdown (via DIS pin) is not what I want, so is there any other way to stop output pulses without removing AC power from my system? NOTE: This question and answer originated from a customer support case which was handled by us. I've a problem with the generation of the code for the application template. Following the steps, i've generate a blank code, but there's a weird problem, maybe something about linker. In fact looking in Middlewares/ST/AI/AI/src/network.c there are a lot of syntax errors, like if the variables defined in "network.h" wouldn't be considered, even with #include "network.h".besides, calling a function that is defined in network.h, like ai_network_create for example, i get this error "Undefined reference to ai_network_create".With validation template i haven't any problems, i can load the network and validate it both from pc that on the board.here the blank project:https://drive.google.com/open?id=1uMNyChclq7Rt7NMQVxcdyMxSpfZNgoHNhere some errors in network.c

Any idea what could have happened?I'm working with a small system: CubeMX, FreeRTOS, a couple of tasks. I debugged a task resume loop last week, and now I'm setting up another variant. Same processor, slightly different peripherals. Now that I try to single step through the loop - even if instructionwise, I suddenly jump into idle task. The loop is done within "atomic block", and there are no interrupts active. The system seems to run fine, though.

I have developed a UI in the PC simulator that I would now like to be able to deploy to a board, but it does not seem like there is any way to target the board/generate the target.hex files that can be used in st-link. The UI is quite large and I would like to be able to do this without having to rebuild the entire application from scratch. Thanks in advance.

I am looking at using the STUSB4500 as a front end to a sink (battery charger). I understand that I can setup 3 power profiles and if a match is detected with either of those profiles, the corresponding POWER_OKx output will be set. But is there a way to find out what the maximum current is that the source can supply? For example, the TUSB4500 device uses this value in the RDO message...is this value accessible through an I2C message? Otherwise, what good does setting the REQ_SRC_CURRENT bit if we don't know what that value is? I want to use the maximum current without overloading the source.

Auto-genned code in v1.14 had USER CODE blocks in MX_CAN1_Init, but after upgrading to v1.15 they are no longer there.Where should I put my ConfigFilter and ActivateNotification calls now?

Hey guys,i'm currently struggeling with the STM32 CLI to programm my MCU.For my (old) STM32F103 i did setup a script wich worked nicely. Going through the documentation a came uo withST-LINK_CLI.exe -c SN=xxxxxx SWD UR -TVolt -ME -P ../my_firmware.hex -V -Rsthttps://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/user_manual/e6/10/d8/80/d6/1d/4a/f2/CD00262073.pdf/files/CD00262073.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.CD00262073.pdf(See Section 4)However when i tried to use the same cmommand to flash my STM32F4 it does not work. The error isMy gues is that the CLI is still looking for the old STM32F103 device. However there's no option to change the MCU type. Could you help me out, do you have any idea how to fix this?

We use SPC560P50L5 in an automotive-qualified battery management system for starter batteries. PIT timer of this device should be able to generate a wake-up interrupt when in low-power mode.At this moment, PIT timer 3 is already working to generate an interrupt at the end of a certain time period. The user manual states that it is possible to use the PIT timer to leave low-power mode (STOP0). But it is unclear which registers are used for that, and how we have to configure them. NOTE: This question and answer originated from a customer support case which was handled by us. Hi - Google have recently announce a Kotlin first strategy for Android. Obviously I am aware that Kotlin and Java are inter-op, but will ST move the libraries over to Kotlin at some point? Or is the plan to keep them Java based?

Hello dear ST community,I try to test FreeRTOS on the STM32MP1 for the Cortex-M4 and I encounter a problem: I've got the following warning: "When FreeRTOS is used, it is strongly recommended to use a HAL timebase source other than the Systick" Ok, but when I try to select the systime base in the tab Pinout under SYS, the selection of TIM* is in light grey and so not available...Is there any solution ? Thank you!Best regards,Anthony
