Hello, i have got problem with basic project form STM32CubeMX. Help please.This is my project https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nJh5805ZFjzibTgeT_i-kSdNzgrmXk0_/view?usp=sharing for STM32CubeMXI write in SW4STM32 main.c:* USER CODE BEGIN Includes */ #include "lwip/opt.h" #include "lwip/arch.h" #include "lwip/api.h" #include "usbd_cdc_if.h"/* USER CODE END Includes */And I compile the project with "Optimization level -O0" and "Debug level None".I do .dfu file with DfuFileMgr.exe and load program with DfuSeDemo.exe. Successful.Driver Virtual Com Port for STM32 version 2.1.0.Problem: Putty don't open Virtual Com Port. Why is this happening?If you reduce the number of threads the port opens. But this option is not suitable.

I am using External events as triggers example for reference.https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/development/board-bring-up/example-gpio/I have successfully changed box color with external events using STM32F429-DISC0 kit.Now, I want to use USR_BTN ( only single button ) key for screen transition. I have add two interactions in TouchGFX Designer.For that I have made two screens, and want to change screen whenever USR_BTN is pressed.For example: Currently, I am on Screen1 and press the key then screen should be changed to Screen2 and vice versa.But whenever USR_BTN key is pressed, screen is not transitioned smoothly. LCD will flicker for some time. I want smooth transition in between. What should I do for that?

Hello,i'm trying to execute a simple animation with TouchGFX. I'm using the Texture Mapper image, and i want to reproduce a spin of that image. As you can see in this video it was succesfully done. However, there is an extra random flashing.I'm using the internal FLASH memory, for now. I think the problem comes from the RAM or from DMA. The latter was configured as Register to Memory, and i enables the interrupt.While the RAM is a 16 bit (maybe too low?).The code to create the animation isscreenViewBase.cpp/*********************************************************************************/ /********** THIS FILE IS GENERATED BY TOUCHGFX DESIGNER, DO NOT MODIFY ***********/ /*********************************************************************************/ #include <gui_generated/screen_screen/screenViewBase.hpp> #include <touchgfx/Color.hpp> #include "BitmapDatabase.hpp"   screenViewBase::screenViewBase() {   box1.setPosition(0, 0, 720, 720); box1.setColor(touchgf

Posted on October 13, 2017 at 22:19Hi,I have recently purchased a number of NUCLEO-L476 boards but cannot get the USB drivers to install correctly whch are required for both ther STLINK utility and also for System Workbench for STM32.I am using a Windows 10 64-bit laptop with USB 3 ports and have installed the STLINK utility, en_stsw-link004.zip, which includes the relevent USB drivers. The installation appears to succeed, however, when I plug in the development board via USB Windows complains with 'USB device not recognised'. In Device Manager, under the Universal Serial Bus controllers section I have an entry which shows as 'Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed), which is presumably the STLINK/V2 probe in the development board. Also I have no virtaul COM port entry.I have tried the same on a Windows XP and Windows 7 PC and all report similar errors. Its as if the development board is not compatible with the driver or the driver has a problem.I have searched the inter

I am trying to trigger conversion sequence on the ADC of an STM32H753 using the CC1 output of a timer. My goal is to start a conversion sequence every 25µs. I know that frequency of the CC1 output is correct; I am counting the events with an interrupt. However, on the ADC only a single sequence is triggered. According to the reference manual (RM0433), figure 160, when setting EXTEN to 01 and CONT to 0, then each trigger event should start a conversion sequence. But is isn't.Here is the code CubeMX generated for initializing the ADC. How do I get this to work? hadc3.Instance = ADC3; hadc3.Init.ClockPrescaler = ADC_CLOCK_ASYNC_DIV6; hadc3.Init.Resolution = ADC_RESOLUTION_16B; hadc3.Init.ScanConvMode = ADC_SCAN_ENABLE; hadc3.Init.EOCSelection = ADC_EOC_SEQ_CONV; hadc3.Init.LowPowerAutoWait = DISABLE; hadc3.Init.ContinuousConvMode = ENABLE; hadc3.Init.NbrOfConversion = 11; hadc3.Init.DiscontinuousConvMode = DISABLE; hadc3.Init.ExternalTrigC

I created a new project and selected the STM32H7B3 discovery kit. All default settings, no changes. When I loaded code, it seems to crash on this line: (debugger connection is lost, etc.) if (HAL_RCC_ClockConfig(&RCC_ClkInitStruct, FLASH_LATENCY_3) != HAL_OKwhich is in void SystemClock_Config(void)  To recreate, simply create a new project in CubeIDE 1.3 and select all the defaults the wizard gives you. If I select the HSI in the System Clock Mux, I can debug, etc and the CPU does not crash. There is a bug the default PLL setup for this board.Also, i checked that the HSE was actually working. I observed a clean 24MHz signal. Looks like the PLL simply isn't working correctly.------edit-------I found a bunch of other examples under:STM32Cube\Repository\STM32Cube_FW_H7_V1.7.0\Projects\STM32H7B3I-DKEveryone one of them have the same bug.Is this expected behavior for out of the box examples? Is there additional configuration required?

Hello Community,I am new to ST MCUs.I want to receive multiple bytes of dat over UART. The size of the data can vary. So I want to use USART1_IRQHandler() when data is received by MCU over UART.I am able to get the interrupt correctly, But I can get only 1 Byte data from the interrupt handler. and the interrupt handler is being called 1 time only.What can be the issue?Below is my ISR function.void USART1_IRQHandler(void)                                             //Serial port 1 interrupt service program{   u8 Res;   if(USART_GetITStatus(USART1, USART_IT_RXNE) != RESET)   {      Res =USART_ReceiveData(USART1);             &nbs

Hi, has anyone been able to configure maximum clock speed (480MHz per datasheet) for the H743ZI with cubeMX?I can't get the radio button from TIM2_CK to CPU_CK and as such I can't get the PWM resolution I am looking for on the HRTIM. Not my only question... The provided project examples are helpful but none of these examples help with PWM configuration of sync'ed channels. This is for a 3phase motor control project. I have everything up and running fine on TIM1 (CH1/CH1N, CH2/CH2N, CH3/CH3N) but I'd like to transfer PWM to HRTIM for increased resolution (that is if I can setup HRTIM to use the CPU clock).Thanks for your helpCheers

I'm planning to use lsm6ds33 for my project, but I don't have enough MCU pins for interrupt.Can I use tap and double tap events without interrupt pins connected to MCU, just checking some registers few times a sec?

With every new release cubmx is getting slower and slower. At this point it is not usable, after i change some setting i have to wait several seconds ~10sec for the gui to update, and in the time is updating everything is frozen and apparently doing 'nothing'. Older versions work fine, i noticed the newer version i use, the slower it is. Is it just me, or this is how it supposed to work. I have a modern pc, with top specs.

void PWM(void)//timer1 channel4{ TIM1_ARRH = 0x03;    // Reload counter = 960TIM1_ARRL = 0xc0;TIM1_PSCRH|= 0;     // Prescalar = 0 (i.e. 1)TIM1_PSCRL |= 0;//TIM1_CR1 = 0;    // Up counter.TIM1_CR1|= 0;    // Edge aligned counter.TIM1_RCR |= 0;      // No repetition.//// Now configure Timer 1, channel 4.//TIM1_CCMR4|= 0X80;  // Set up to use PWM mode 2.TIM1_CCER2|= 0X10;  // Output is enabled.TIM1_CCER2|= 0X20;  // Active is defined as high.TIM1_CCR4H|= 0x01;   // 480 = 50% duty cycle (based on TIM1_ARR).TIM1_CCR4L|= 0xe0;TIM1_BKR|= 0X80;//1;    // Enable the main output.//// Uncomment the following line to produce a single pulse. TIM1_CR1|=0x01;// Enable counter}

I'm using stm32cubeMX to create the project on a nucleo F767ZI boardI'm using FreeRTOS and LWIP for a simple UDP sender.I can get IP address form DHCP and ping works, and the packet can be sentout without any problem if the destination is the broadcast address, if I set it to some computer's address, the program will hang, I tried to put a LED GPIO after the send function call, seems it's not return from that function. on line debuging shows it's endup in a hard fault with unaligned memory access.I also tried specify the IP address instead of using DHCP, still only works in boradcast only. The program will also endup in hard fault with unaligned memory access. While the dubuging, I found a stange problem, The DHCP works, both ping and DHCP server shows the board has successfuly got the ip address. If the destination is a broadcast, during the debug, I can find the "struct netif *netif_default;" and "struct netif *netif_list;" in netif.c is pointing to the correct interface with the cor

Hi there :) I've recently got my hands on the IHM002 kit. I'm trying out MCSDK and the example project which comes with it,  "P-NUCLEO-IHM001 kit, 3-Shunt, Sensorless". I can get MCSDK to generate the code successfully but after flashing, the motor refuses to run.Using the MCSDK monitor, whenever I press the button to start the motor, I keep getting the errors, FOC Duration & Software Error.I've configured the jumpers accordingly, as per the pamphlet & user manual instructions.The initial firmware on the board and the binary from the X-CUBE-SPN7, which I believe is the 6-step algorithm implementation, works fine concluding that the board and motor are OK.Please help in getting my IHM002 kit running using the MCSDK 5.4.4.

Posted on January 19, 2017 at 19:52I have been using the CubexMX for a few years and have no problems with programming nucleo and discovery boards.I am using Keil IDE.I recently bough the http://www.st.com/en/ecosystems/x-nucleo-iks01a1.html and have some problems with integration it with nucleo-F411.===Starting with the library description and trying to understand all the dependencies seems to be daunting task.I tried it but I found it difficult to solve library dependencies issues. I am not talking about what function to call - it's rather inter library dependencies issues.===Opening already existing example project for F401 and replacing the MCU with F411  gives so many compilation errors so I rejected the idea for now.===I wonder if someone have some experience how to quickly integrate the CubeMX-generated program skeleton with BSP drivers. The goal is to have compilation/linking error free application skeleton.The Getting started document for x-nucleo boards is focused on ge

Hi, I try to use stm32f429 lcd screen. for this i need to add bsp library in my project and then use some .c file like sdram.c lcd.c etc. Can someone explain how can i add this library ?What I'm trying to do is in the video on the link, but he's using Keil.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_TVAudWabIIs there another method for controlling the LCD? Only using cubemx.I just want to print the word alone on the screen.Thank you.

Hello everyone, I hope you're well and safe. I'm working with the STM32F103C8T6(BluePill).ST-LINK V2 as programmer and hardware debugger. Keil µVision MDK-ARM V5.STM32CubeMX.I'm trying to debug a simple application with the printf() functionHere's the CubeMX configuration:Here's the code:#include "main.h" #include "stdio.h"   void SystemClock_Config(void); static void MX_GPIO_Init(void);   int main(void) { HAL_Init();   SystemClock_Config();   MX_GPIO_Init(); while (1) { printf("hello"); ITM_SendChar('a'); HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(LED_BUILTIN_GPIO_Port ,LED_BUILTIN_Pin); HAL_Delay(1000); } }   void SystemClock_Config(void) { RCC_OscInitTypeDef RCC_OscInitStruct = {0}; RCC_ClkInitTypeDef RCC_ClkInitStruct = {0};   RCC_OscInitStruct.OscillatorType = RCC_OSCILLATORTYPE_HSI; RCC_OscInitStruct.HSIState = RCC_HSI_ON; RCC_OscInitStruct.HSICalibrationValue = RCC_HSICALIBRATION_DEFAULT; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLState = RCC_PLL_NONE; if (HAL_RCC

I have a running project that is based on CubeIDE 1.3.1 and it includes FreeRTOS, FATFS, USB_Device and TouchGFX running on F429.After upgrade to 1.4 and regenerate the code based on the project existing IOC I saw that all the interrupt priorities changed from 5 to 0 and the system stopped working. Only after I changed it manually to 5 it started to work again.FreeRTOS is defined with:#define configLIBRARY_MAX_SYSCALL_INTERRUPT_PRIORITY 5In the previous CubeIDE version the generated code made the NVIC IRQ interrupt to be depend on that value and all the default IRQ priorities was 5.Any input on that?

For an R&D project we are curently designing a PCB around an stm32WB , we use the stm32W55 usb dongle as reference design for our project.But we are currently not able to source some specific components : L3 : Ferrite FCM1608KF-601T0FLT1 : band pass filter LFB182G45CGFD436 So i would like to know if ST have other substitute with the same footprints ?Best regards,Pierre

Have implemented Virtual Comm port on STM32L4. Works fine under Linux but Windows 10 shows Device Descriptor Request Failed.Suggestions please.Thanks

Is it possible to set level 2 RDP to just a subset of a certain Flash bank? not the entire bank. (Begin Address -> End Address for example)Is it possible to set RDP levels for an external flash not the internal MCU flash?

Hello everybody!I use an X-NUCLEO-NFC05A1 (based on ST25R3911B) as a PCD.My test application uses the RFAL V2.0.10 library.After successfully selecting a MIFARE Classic 1K PICC, my test application call the rfalIsoDepPollAHandleActivation function that stuck in an infinite loop. (I know that this PICC is not ISO-DEP, so in this scenario it simply replies with a NAK response.) Interestingly if I change rfalSetErrorHandling's parameter from RFAL_ERRORHANDLING_EMVCO to RFAL_ERRORHANDLING_NFC in the beginning part ofrfalIsoDepPollAHandleActivation then the rfalIsoDepPollAHandleActivation function returns ERR_INCOMPLETE_BYTE (I think it is the correct, expected behavior).The following things happen when I call the rfalIsoDepPollAHandleActivation function:rfalIsoDepPollAHandleActivation calls rfalIsoDepRATS functionrfalIsoDepRATS sends a RATS command by calling the rfalTransceiveBlockingTxRx functionrfalTransceiveBlockingTxRx sends the RATS command successfully and then calls the rfalTransce

Hi,all my co-workers work with CubeIDE 1.3.1 (with embedded MX 6.5.1). Because we share our projects I want to install the same version of IDE and MX.I already install CubeIDE 1.3.0 (which i found on ST site) and try to update it to 1.3.1.But only version I could update to is 1.4.1.I have choose Window -> Preferences -> Install/Update -> 'Show all versions of available software' and after that when I choose Help -> Check for updates, 3 new updates are available (1.3.1, 1.4.0 and 1.4.1). But no matter which one I choose the newest version (1.4.1) is installed.What can I do to install proper version of IDE. The stand-alone installer is only for version 1.3.0 (which I already installed)?

FolksThis is a bit of a "how do these things work" question. I'm designing a board to replace an existing board in a larger solution. I'm working with the vendor and can get the details from them but I just wanted to take a chance to get to understand clocks a bit better (I'm a newbie).The existing board (i.e. the one I'm replacing) has a STM32F030C8T6 (TSSOP20). If I'm reading the spec sheets right this chip can take an external / bypass HSE clock source of 4 - 32GHz. There are no pins for the LSE on the package in question.However, the board is being fed with a 200KHz clock signal which rather confuses me? Can this be done? There's no crystal on the board so it's either using that clock source or the internal clock. The highest frequency requirement it has is 115,200 async UART so the internal clock is probably fine but if that is the case I'm wondering why they've added the external clock source?I'll not be using that package so I'll have other options. I see I can feed a 200KHz sig

I am trying to use STM32CubeIDE 1.4.0. Previously I was using 1.3.0. I was calling the CubeMX, since I wanted to make a change to the configuration. When CubeMX generated the update code, it deleted the entire project. No traces of the project are left, except for the root directory and and an empty directory "Drivers/CMSIS". Why is this happening? Forunately, I made a backup just before I did this, otherwise my entire project would have been gone.
