Hi everyone,I tried to copy the folder STM32Cube/cubeF4... so when i change something it doesn’t make any changes in the original folder, so then I compiled , the error was in main.c (#include “main.h?) (no such file or directory).thanks

Hi,I am pretty new to programming STM32 MCUs and I have been having a hard time finding out how to change the SPI prescaler value on my Nucleo-L476RG board. I am trying to implement FatFS using SPI via an online tutorial and their method of changing the prescaler seems to only work with the Nucleo-F303RE board. I have attached a photo below of their implementation and the error message I am receiving. Is there any other way of going about this? Thanks,Timothy

Is it needed for host pc to use static ip when working with LwIP ethernet?

I upgraded my CUBE IDE in order to turn it stable on W-10. This was solved with 1.4.2 version. But, at the same time, I switched to NUCLEO-072RB to implemment a simple BLINKY LED routine using a custom "while" delay. This is a over simple routine. When a start the program, the LED turns ON forever. It I issue a step by step execution it works over the loop two times, but when the pointer go over the "delaying while" some other task grab the control and in the "console window" we can see a full sequence of messages apart from the intended process. It is possible to PAUSE the process, but single step command resume the above endless process again. I have never the chance to execute one simple program into CUBE IDE debugger.Have someone this behavior? Do someone have a hint of what could I doing wrong?Regards.

I am preparing for migration from SWSTM32 V2.4 (GCC 6.3.1) to STM32CubeIDE V1.4 (GCC 7.3.1).During testing, I have noticed very significant performance issues in both compile time and generated executable run time. Please see the attached table for my test results. All tests were done using CMake and changing the compiler path, so there is no effect of different IDEs.NOTE: I was not able to test the generic ARM toolchain bundled with STM32CubeIDE, due to it not being able to find a header <bits/c++config.h>. I, therefore, downloaded GCC 7.3.1 form ARM for this comparison.Run times are in seconds.

I'm trying to use STM32CubeProgrammer on a Ubuntu system to read and eventually write the flash on my STM32F030 device via an ST-Link. However when I click the 'Read' button, after connecting to the ST-Link I get two errors: Error: Unable to list supported devices Error: Cannot identify the deviceDo I need to point it at a database of devices somewhere? /dwight

I wrote this code to initialize ADC1. What Im trying to do is take input from a Joystick and map it accordingly and send a corresponding PWM output to a LED. RCC->CFGR |= RCC_CFGR2_ADCPRE12_DIV2; RCC->AHBENR |= RCC_AHBENR_ADC12EN; //enable clock ADC1->CR &= ~(ADC_CR_ADVREGEN_1 | ADC_CR_ADVREGEN_0); ADC1->CR |= ADC_CR_ADVREGEN_0; //voltage regulator enable sequence ADC1->CR &= ~ADC_CR_ADCALDIF; ADC1->CR |= ADC_CR_ADCAL; //start calibration while((ADC1->CR)& ADC_CR_ADCAL); //wait till calibrated ADC1->CR |= ADC_CR_ADEN; while(!( (ADC1->ISR) & ADC_ISR_ADRDY )); ADC1->SQR1 |= ADC_SQR1_SQ1_1 | ADC_SQR1_SQ1_0; //channel 3 in sequence 1 ADC1->SMPR1 |= ADC_SMPR1_SMP3_2 | ADC_SMPR1_SMP3_1; //sampling rate for ch3 ADC1->CFGR |= ADC_CFGR_CONT; //set to continuous conversion mode ADC1->CR |= ADC_CR_ADSTART;The program is stuck in one of the while loops (I'm guessing due to some problem with ADC calibration? idk

Hi,I have make a simple Project, with STM32H750, Just a simple on/off button and progress bar, I have used LTDC , Graphic accelerator and the simple widgets looks Ok, But some widgets with pictures like the on/off button and or analog clock would render like dashed lines! even in simulator!what can be wrong?Regards

If I natigate to "Pinout & Configuration > System Core > NVIC" I get a table of interrupts. This table shows those which have been enabled, their preemption priority and subpriority. Some of the priority entries have a note "Managed by RTOS". Yes I am using FreeRTOS Middleware. On the whole I am inpressed how integrated things are but to my dismay I cannot alter the Priorities from "0". This means there will be a failue if any FreeRTOS function is called during an interrupt such as giving a semaphore "xSemaphoreGiveFromISR()". FreeRTOS checks the priority of interrupt and if a higher priority than a set level will apply an assert.I can manually set the priority but that has to be done every time I run STM32CubeMX and not desirable. How can I enter the correct priority and more's the point why is it set to 0, when MX has already decided the highest allowed? One thing to note is that this project has been upgraded from earlier versions and I'm wondering if this is an associated is

If I run the application without any boards connected, it launches OK (showing "Please connect your board(s)!", but as soon as I connect the board (tried that with STM32G071B-DISCO and Nucleo-G474RE with X-NUCLEO-USBPDM1 attached and programmed for USB PD, and results were the same) and I click "Refresh list of connected boards", it crashes to desktop. If I run the application while having board already connected, it just crashes immediately. I tried launching it as administrator, and results were the same, but this time error log files appeared in the program directory. I've attached one of them hoping it will help with investigation. Among other things, it contains information about my system. Any help with this would be appreciated. I'm working on a project that will use G4 MCU for USB PD, so I need to get this to work, as the whole point I've bought DISCO board was to use it as CC sniffer.

I have found on one day I get good performance and read range from the unit, but I can come in on the next day and only be able to read an inch or so with the same settings. Today it is working reasonably well again. Can anyone explain this?I need to read two different tags both in range. It seems the larger tag always kills the ability to read the smaller tag. I assume this is because it gets swamped by a larger return signal from the larger tag? Any way around this? Or am I misunderstanding what might be happening here?I'm going to be extracting what I think we need from the eval board design. (Hopefully no ext power amp or signal switches, etc.). Is there any chance I can get away with a fixed tuning since all our implementations will be the same and the tags will be of fixed type and location? I assume I can optimize with the eval board and just save my settings and the tuning table to use as fixed parameters. Are there any guidelines that help with deciding how to set up all the v

I have the STM32CubeIDE version 1.4.2.I have an STM32F4DISCOVERY board.I want to import the Demonstration project, compile it, load it and run it. This will verify the discovery board, which is older (MB997C).I go to File -> Import -> Existing Projects into Workspace. I navigate to C:\Users\smacdonald\STM32Cube\Repository\STM32Cube_FW_F4_V1.25.0\Projects\STM32F4-Discovery\Demonstrations and the STM32F4-DISCO project is discovered. All other options are defaults (Copy proects into workspace is not checked off). Click finish. In the Project Explorer there is now an STMF4-DISCO project. Files under it look reasonable; Application\User\main.c looks like the main loop.Right-click on the project, select Build Project , and all I get in the console is**** Build of configuration Debug for project STM32F4-DISCO ****Nothing to build for project STM32F4-DISCODid I miss something during the import process? I expected this to build and load.

I tried to compare a modeled square spiral antenna from the AN2866 app note (Sec 4.3 page 11):https://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/cd00221490-how-to-design-a-1356-mhz-customized-antenna-for-st25-nfc--rfid-tags-stmicroelectronics.pdfwith the result of ST's edesign calculator:https://my.st.com/content/my_st_com/en/products/nfc/st25-nfc-rfid-tags-readers/st25-nfc-rfid-readers/st25-nfc-readers.html#edesign-suiteBut the results I got are about three orders of magnitude different. Note that the antenna size is a bit large at 10cm/10cm. Am I missing something?

Could you please provide some advice or example code on how best to create a screensaver using TouchGFX?I am looking for the classic screensaver functionality: if someone touched the display with their finger whatsoever, then the screensaver counter should reset. When the counter reaches a threshold, then there is a transition to some kind of "screensaver screen". This could even be a Modal Box. After touching the device again, increase again the screen brightness and enter some password if necessary, to go back to the screen where the user was at previously. I have not found a way to insert some kind of callback function into some kind of "has the screen been touched?" function. Where can I find this "has the screen been touched?" function in the TouchGFX stack, and how can I add some user level code to this?Would appreciate any answers or tips.Cheers!

Greetings,I made myself a 100-pin LQFP breakout board and soldered a STM32H750VBT6 to it. I connected all the Vss and all the Vdd. When I try to hook up SWDIO, SWCLK, 3.3V and GND from my ST-Link nothing works. The ST-Link doesn't recognize the microcontroller. The ST-Link itself works tho.I did the same thing with a STM32L452 and it worked out of the box. I also tried hooking up BOOT0 and NRST to GND but the problem remains. I checked everything, it's very well soldered and there are no short circuits, this is the second chip I tried and it didn't work for both of them.I placed the chip so that pin 1 is on the bottom left when I can read the text on the chip the right way. Here is a link to the datasheet: https://www.st.com/resource/en/datasheet/stm32h750ib.pdfI hooked up pin 10, 19, 26, 49, 74, 99 to GND; pin 11, 21, 27, 50, 75, 100 to 3.3V; pin 72 to SWDIO and pin 76 to SWCLK.Did I miss something to hook up or do you have any other advice?Thank you very much in advance! Here are addit

Hi everyone.I want to use SystemView to log data from stm32f429I-disc1. I generated code by CubeMX 6.0.1 to run FreeRTOS on my boad. FreeRTOS Interface is CMSISv2, and it has two simple tasks which both of them run os_delay(1). I went step by step according to a tutorial on youtube and added necessary changes to my project. The problem is when microcontroller wants to execute os_delay from second task, it goes to HardFault_Handler. I increased stack size of each task, even increased Minimum Heap Size and Stack Size but nothing is changed.target board: STM32F429I-DISC1CubeMX version: 6.0.1CubeIDE version: 1.4.2CMSIS package version: 5.6SystemView source version: 312tutorial which I followed:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1YiWFV_YbsM&list=PLvy7FusYCoHYvHstE1fGjehMLhaJBbiKk.ioc file is attached.TNX

I am using an STM32L452CE. I copy an executable (.bin) from Flash to SRAM2. I zero out the remaining SRAM2. I then 'jump' to the executable now in SRAM2. When I have the parity error checking off (FLASH_OPTR_SRAM2_PE = 1) it works fine. When I turn it on it does not work. Any ideas / suggestions would be much appreciated.

I recently changed the chip i'm using for a project. I'm trying to port code between an STM32F031K6 and an STM32L412K8 but some of the registers seems to be called different things. In particular any reference toADC1->CHSELR doesn't work. Where can I find a list of all the register names? Im using cubeIDE in case that makes a difference

Hello!I have these code to store/read data in the EEPROM of my STM32L031K6..The write function works, the data is saved in flash correctly...When i want to read the data back, i falling in the HardFault Handler.... :\This is my Code: eeprom.h#define EEPROM_BASE_ADDRESS 0x08080000UL   HAL_StatusTypeDef writeEEPROMByte(uint32_t address, uint8_t data) { HAL_StatusTypeDef status; uint32_t eepromAddress = address + EEPROM_BASE_ADDRESS; HAL_FLASHEx_DATAEEPROM_Unlock(); status = HAL_FLASHEx_DATAEEPROM_Program(TYPEPROGRAMDATA_BYTE, eepromAddress, data); HAL_FLASHEx_DATAEEPROM_Lock();   return status; }   uint8_t readEEPROMByte(uint32_t address) { uint8_t data = 0; uint32_t eepromAddress = address + EEPROM_BASE_ADDRESS; data = *(__IO uint32_t *)eepromAddress; return data; }i think, the convertion from uint32_t to uint8_t is wrong, but it works to write the data...

Hi. Is there a way for an STM8 MCU to determine programmatically if the SWIM interface / ICP / STVD debugger are being used? I've tried checking the SWD bit in CFG->GCR and SWIM->CSR. But neither byte seems to change from SWIM debugging to a power on restart. The reason I ask is because an area of data EEPROM memory is always being overwritten while debugging and evidently isn't while running without STVD.

In CubeIDE 1.4 in the graphical configurator, using a STM32F091, if you select the PA8 pin function as MCO,the generated code in main.c / GPIO init will configure the pin as AF0 with LOW speed. This should really be HIGH speed, it doesn't get any higher than the system clock frequency ;) And you won't see much on the scope with that limited analog bandwidth, when you configure this for the purpose of checking whether the MCU really runs at the desired clock speed.

Hi All,I use FreeRTOS and I try to use USART by interrupt. When I call xQueueSendFromISR my application hangs out. I've set full assert but it never reaches assert_failed or Error_Handler functions. I use NUCLEO-64 STM32F411RE board with 1.25.0 firmware package and STM32 CubeIDE 1.4.0. from Linux. Here is the interrupt code :void HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart) { if (huart == &huart2) { sh_receive_complete(huart); return; } }   /** * receive completed interrupt function */ void sh_receive_complete(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart) { BaseType_t hptw = pdFALSE;   if (!(huart && huart == configuration->uart)) return;   xQueueSendFromISR(receive_queue, &receive_buffer, &hptw); HAL_UART_Receive_IT(configuration->uart, &receive_buffer, 1U); }when this code reached xQueueSendFromISR never come back. My FreeRTOS config params:#ifndef FREERTOS_CONFIG_H #define FREERTOS_CONFIG_H     /* Ensure definitions are only use

Im using a STM32L412KB for the first time and Im a little confused about the clock options. I can't seem to change the clock speed (input frequency) in cubeIDE, it's always stuck on 8MHz. However I notice there is an internal oscillator - does this mean I don't have to use an external crystal? This would be very good for my design, but I'm not sure - what are the disadvantages of using an internal oscillator?
