Hello,I have two X-Nucleo-BNRG2A1 demo board, with Nucleo Board, working fine with the SampleApplication of the X-CUBE-BLE2.The two module pair correctly, one being the Master, sending message to the slave.I would like now to use another device to connect to the X-Nucleo-BNRG2A1. I can see the bluetooth one the other device, but when trying to connect, it ask for a Key.What is the Key, or how to read it? Is there a way to enable Key free connection?Thank you

Using a Nucleo STM32F091RC board, I have configured the ADC to measure all channels in a sequence, i.e. all 10 ADC pins that particular chip has, and the 3 internal ones: temperature, vrefint, vbat.I calibrated the ADC, waited the time before enabling as said in the errata, measured Vrefint a bunch of times (with only that channel in the sequence at that time, just in case MUXing might create slight crosstalk), calculate VDDA from the reference and the stored values from system memory.When I meausre voltages on the 10 external pins, they seem all correct and reasonably accurate.Vbat also looks ok. Vrefint also looks like that is said in the datasheet.But the internal temperature is totally off.It measures around 95 °C, but the MCU clearly feels less than human body temperature.I have tried 3 things to calculate it:read the reference manual and implemented it myself. When that seemed wrong, as a sanity check, Ilooked whether the LL library had something, and indeed, it has the macro __L

I have a screen with some pictures, buttons and a custom keyboard widget. I want to show a modal window on this window. But when I do "view" on my modal window, it only covers the things defined in gfxdesigner not the custom keyboard widget. How can I include custom keyboard to so that it becomes part of the "main window" or is there perhaps an better / other way?

Hi.The datasheet of ST25R3911B shows recommended values of capacitors of 1uF (for AGD/VSS) and 2.2uF for others (VSPx-VSNx) plus a 10nF capacitor very close to the pins, according to the the picture:I just wanted to know if I should use these exact values, or if I can start my custom board project using 4.7uF/0402 for all these 1uF and 2.2uF capacitors. We already have the 4.7uF/0402 in stock. Just wanted to know if I can use them instead of 1uF/2.2uF values recommended on the datasheet. And also if I can use 4.7uF+10nF on VDD pin

Hi.We have a custom board which includes NFC and it is based on ST25R95 transceiver and it has a double layer (top and bottom layer) antenna/coil of 10.5mm x 26mm, 5 turns at each side and 0.3mm width for traces, 1/2oz copper thickness. The reading distance for NFC tags was not sufficient for our project so we decided to switch the transceiver to a ST25R3911B and keep using the same antenna. Use the same antenna because we don't have more space to increase its size, and now the objective is to reach a higher distance reading for NFC tags.We sent a bare board without components assembled to a university and they measured the antenna parameters of it with a ZNL 6 network analyzer, these parameters are required to calculate the matching componentes on "ST25R Antenna Matching Tool". v3.1.0.0 was used.**********************************************************NFC ANTENNA/COIL PARAMETER MEASUREMENTS FOR PCB-SL2-G-BLENETWORK ANALYZER: Rohde Schwarz ZNL 6****************************************

Hello,I am developing on STM32L4R9I-Disco, and I want to display ARGB8888 images on the round DSI display under the command of UART. For example, I send hex 'b2' to this board by uart, one image is displayed. I have succeeded some parts, but the image is not well displayed (the attached picture).Anyone knows what's the problem? Thank you. Here are some parts of the program:#define VSYNC 1 #define VBP 1 #define VFP 1 #define VACT 390 #define HSYNC 1 #define HBP 1 #define HFP 1 #define HACT 390   #define LAYER_ADDRESS GFXMMU_VIRTUAL_BUFFER0_BASE   static void CopyInVirtualBuffer_single(uint32_t *pSrc, uint32_t *pDst, uint16_t xsize, uint16_t ysize);UART part:uint8_t Rx_data[10];   void HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart) { HAL_UART_Receive_IT(&huart2, Rx_data, 1); if (Rx_data[0] == 0xb2) { CopyInVirtualBuffer_single((uint32_t*) image_img_01_ARGB, (uint32_t*) LAYER_ADDRESS, 390, 390); pending_buffer = 1; HAL_DSI_Refresh

Hi, i just started working/learning STM cards as an intern. I want to run C/C++ codes on STM32MP157A-DK1 ARM Cortex-A7.I did the getting started tutorials at wiki, and im using environmet version 2.1.0 release I followed these posts:https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00000M9GphSAF/using-stm32cubeide-for-developing-linux-user-space-applicationshttps://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_manage_OpenSTLinux_project_in_STM32CubeIDEThen I wrote an the most basic hello world code. just want to get an build, deploy and see if its working properly then i will start working on the task that i given.#include <stdio.h> int main() { printf("hello world\n"); return 0; }The problem is when i press : Run as -> STM33 Cortex-A Linux deployment it gives an error and says : " Activation DeviceTree... failed"  I really dont know anything about this kind of work, i worked as a programmer but with visual studio, unity engine and unreal engine so this kind of environment is compl

I have found a problem when deriving a class from two base classes.class BaseA{public: BaseA() {} virtual int GetNumber() const {return 42;} };class BaseB{public: BaseB() {} virtual int32_t MathConfuscator(int32_t input) {return input * 97 % 5;}};class DerivedC : public BaseA, public BaseB{public: DerivedC() {} int GetNumber() const override {return 10;} int32_t MathConfuscator(int32_t input) override {return input * 10;}};Running these classes in a program e.g.:int main(){ DerivedC myDerive; int64_t myTick = 4078; int32_t tmp = ((BaseA*)&myDerive)->GetNumber(); if(myTick == ((BaseB*)&myDerive)->MathConfuscator(tmp)) return 1;}The first function call GetNumber() is executed correctly and jumps into the DerivedC function while the MathConfuscator function call crashes with a hard fault.I have tested this on an STM32G031 Nucleo-32 evaluation board using the STM32G031K8T6 procesor. The compiler chain is "9 2020-q2-update". To me it is unclear why I do get a hard fault when r

Hi, when I try to use pin #7 of STM32G031J6 as GPIO A14 configured as input with external interrupt, the debugger crashes and lose control of the application. This is not happening if I change pin, eg. use GPIO B0 on pin #5 the same way.Has anybody encountered a similar problem? Thanks, Elena

This is my code to generate the value of the lookup table? Why timer 6 is never running on the code and I get this warning: HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback defined but not usedBelow you can see the code:/* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * <h2><center>© Copyright (c) 2020 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved.</center></h2> * * This software component is licensed by ST under BSD 3-Clause license, * the "License"; You may not use this file except in compliance with the * License. I am playing with my STWIN evaluation kit and I am trying to understand the final step of configuration of the Machine Learning Core in the sensor. Are the configuration registers on the sensor flashed like that of an MCU when you load the ucf file? Is the sensor configured every time by the MCU upon reset?I ask because I am trying to use an MLC sensor in my design where it would be interfaced to am MCU where you program in Micropython. It would take some time to write equivalent drivers.

we have purchase this item LD1117S50CTR recently, Can i get the marking information, our QA department is asking us provide information to process production, thanks.

I will be using STM32F4 CPU in custom boards. The PCB will be space constrained and I plan on using STMX&IDE for development debug/programming devices. So is there a need for JTAG interface (10 pin) or can I get away with just having the SWD header?

I'm working on PCB with two MCUs, and I'm not sure how to connect power supply lines. Even after reading the datasheet and RM0433, I still find it confusing. Like, which one of the VDD33USB or VDD50USB should I connect and why? Do I connect both? Or do I need to connect VDDLDO? Or VBAT, if I don't plan to use battery and what to do with that pin in that case? Or do I need to connect any of USB VDDs if I'm not using USB or I can keep it floating? Or can I connect the same power supply on all 3.3V power lines? Or can I keep floating analog power input, and use on-chip one?Is there a nice document to explain it all in details? I was working with SILab MCUs before and the document simply had all scenarios, saving me the trouble of experimenting.

The problem that I am facing is that I implemented HAL_UART_Receive_IT function in a while(1) loop and then I check for the elements of buffer for \n or \r. After I type the first message it prints "String Received". But after that it continuously prints "Error". I read a few articles and i enabled the IRQ for the interrupt but i am confused about its implementation. I wish to know how exactly is it done.

I'm using FatFs without RTOS, and quite often the f_mount() call will fail. Right now it always fails, but in a previous version of my code it failed only 20%. My current mount code (using HAL) looks like if (f_mount(&fatfs, "", 1)) led_on_abort();and my initialization before in main.c looks like HAL_Init(); SystemClock_Config(); MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_DMA_Init(); MX_FMC_Init(); MX_SDMMC1_SD_Init(); MX_FATFS_Init(); MX_RTC_Init(); MX_NVIC_Init();I did enable interrupts and DMA for SDMMC1. That's why those init calls are before f_mount().Could there be a timing issue causing f_mount to fail? Note that changing the immediate parameter to 0 does not prevent the failure.When I'm debugging, everything works just fine. That's why I think there could be some timing issue -- not enough time between SDMMC/FatFs-Init and f_mount, or between f_mount and f_open (when not immediate).Any ideas?

Are the low level interfaces such as LL_GPIO_MODE available for STM32MP157C? If so, where can I find the headers? I created a project using STM32CubeIDE but can only see headers for HAL.

Hello,I'm trying to discharge the solid state thin film lithium battery EFL700A39, with a discharge current of 0.7 mA, in the aim of reaching a state of charge of approximately 20%. Actually, the problem is the significant difference of voltages when the battery is without load and when the the load is connected. In other words, for example, the no-load voltage of the battery is 4.152 V. When connected to a load extracting 0.7mA, the initial voltage of the battery changes from 4.152V to 3.85 V. Which is for me is kind of weird. So should I refer to the voltage with or without load ? any idea ?Thank you for your help,Georgina

The processor never wakes up from STOP1 mode and I do not know why.Reading RTC time and date works, so I know the RTC clock is running. With debugger (using HAL_EnableDBGStopmode()), I notice that the firmware is stuck in __WFI()I'm using STM32Cube_FW_L4_V1.13.0static void deepsleep(uint32_t intervalms) { __HAL_RCC_PWR_CLK_ENABLE(); // Enable Power Control clock   HAL_RTCEx_BKUPWrite(&hrtc, RTC_BKP_DR1, 0x32F2); HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(RTC_WKUP_IRQn);   if (HAL_RTCEx_DeactivateWakeUpTimer(&hrtc) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); }   // clear wake up flags __HAL_PWR_CLEAR_FLAG(PWR_FLAG_WU); __HAL_RTC_WAKEUPTIMER_CLEAR_FLAG(&hrtc, RTC_FLAG_WUTF); __HAL_PWR_CLEAR_FLAG(PWR_FLAG_WUFI);   uint32_t _time = (intervalms * 2314) / 1000; if (HAL_RTCEx_SetWakeUpTimer_IT(&hrtc, _time, RTC_WAKEUPCLOCK_RTCCLK_DIV16) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); }   HAL_SuspendTick(); HAL_PWR_EnterSTOPMode(PWR_LOWPOWERREGULATOR_ON, PWR_STOPENTRY_WFI); // Issue: remains

Hi, we're trying to port an application from a F7 chip to the STM32H7 mostly for the purpotedly better performance of the ADC on the H7. However, we've run into an issue I'm not sure I can explain. I'm using the H747 Disocvery board as a prototype at the moment. The signal coming into the board is a single ended signal from 0 - 3.3V centred at 1.65V. I'm using an example sine wave at with an amplitude of 0.5V as a test signal here. When I apply this offset to the input of the ADC, the signal saturates at -1.5V to +1.5V as shown below and a quick FFT (130kHz signal) seems to confirm that as well.  If I don't apply the offset and I let the signal swing from 0 to 0.5V, i get the expected output shown here:  I use HAL and I'm not sure if I'm missing a setting or something. This behaviour is not seen on the F7 board and I'm not sure what could be causing the spikes to occur here.Any tips appreciated

Hello,I have a custom board based on STM32MP151-C with an eMMC on the following pins:SDMMC2_CK PE3 (AF09)SDMMC2_D0  PE6 (AF07)SDMMC2_CMD   PG6 (AF10)I read that the ROM expects the the SDMMC2_D0 pin on PB14 so I need to change it by using values from the OTP. I found this link (https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X0000AkQJiHSQW/how-to-change-emmc-interface) and did the same as the ST Support, just for my pins. Here are my results.OTP3 = 0x00000004    SDMMC2 (uses non default AFmux defined in OTP)OTP5 = 0x38745394SDMMC2_CK = PE3 (bits[15:0]: port0=5=GPIOE, pin0=3, afmux0=9, mode0=4=AF;pull-up;medium-speed)SDMMC2_D0 = PC8 (bits[31:16]: port1=3=GPIOC, pin1=8, afmux1=7, mode1=4=AF;pull-up;medium-speed)OTP6 = 0x000076A4SDMMC2_CMD = PG6 (bits[15:0]: port2=7=GPIOG, pin2=6, afmux2=10, mode2=4=AF;pull-up;medium-speed)Could someone please let me know if I calculated the OTP values correctly? So I dont brick the board.PS: How do I determine th

Today I have a project/board which uses the ST25R3911B NFC transceiver from ST, and it uses a dual layer coil (made of PCB copper traces) on the RF part. This coil is dual layer, that is, is a SINGLE coil made on the 2 sides of the board.But I have a new situation/project where I want to have 2 (TWO/DUAL) coils connected to the NFC transceiver, and these coils would be separated with around 6 centimeters apart (one coil reads each side of the thing). They would be placed connected in parallel with their pair of wires... Is that possible? Is there a NFC transceiver from ST which can drive/read 2 independent coils? What can be done engineers? Or do I need to use a pair of transceivers?Regards,Jeferson.

Hello,I'm developing an ultra-low-power circuit with LIS2DE12. I would like to have the accelerometer running with IRQ enabled, but serial communication shutted down.I can't understand at whitch power path the INT1 and INT2 are connected (Vdd or VddIO).Is it possible to have INT1 and INT2 output working if I power-up the LIS2DE12 only by Vdd?Thanks.
