When starting STM32CubeMonitor it displays a dialog reporting "Application server port already in use"; the application then exits when the dialog is closed.In the details it says that port 1880 is already in use; however netstat doesn't show this port as being used. (Windows 10, 64-bit).Any suggestions?Thanks,Simon

Hi, so I'm new to ARM and got a STM32H755 Nucleo board. Using the STM32cubeIDE to auto generate code, I spent hours trying to follow tutorials and get the blink code working until someone mentioned to me that the auto generated MX_GPIO_Init code is a lot shorter than other boards code. The STM32745 is also like this but checking out the 723 and l4 series from youtube videos, they all contain extra instantiation code mine doesn't. This seems like a bug to me and looks like what's causing me not to get a blinking LED with the usual HAL calls, unless there's some other main.c file I'm missing since it's a dual core MCU.This is the only code generated for my MX_GPIO_Init():static void MX_GPIO_Init(void){ /* GPIO Ports Clock Enable */ __HAL_RCC_GPIOC_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPIOH_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPIOA_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPIOB_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPIOD_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPIOG_CLK_ENABLE();}Thanks for your help.

Hii,While configuring STM32F446RE on CubeMX version 5.0.1 for using the board for reading and writing data on an SD card using SDIO mode (1 bit mode), after enabling this mode and then enabling SD Card option in the FATFS Middleware, it asks me to resolve clock issues and I run the auto-clock resolver, the clock issue gets resolved but when I click on generate code, I get this error message "These IPs still have some not configured or wrong parameter values : [FATFS]". When I try to check what is wrong with the IPs, there is just one option available and I cannot find a way to resolve this error. I click on generate the code anyway. Kindly helpWith regardsSiddharth Soni

I use stm32cubemx 5.5, and there is a problem bothering me.when i enable FATFS in stmcubemx, i got an warning: verify the platform settings tabI know i should add a sd detect pin this warning, but actually, the board don't have the detect pin.although i can ignore this warning, i would like to cancel this warning.So How to cancel FATFS verify the platform settings tab

Newbie here and quite fortunate and unfortunate to use STM32H747-DISCO.For a newbie like me, it is quite overwhelming.I mostly rely on CubeMX to generate code and combine with firmware examples.For STM32H747-DISCO, the generated code is emptly.In CM4 src:{   /* GPIO Ports Clock Enable */ __HAL_RCC_GPIOI_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPIOB_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPIOG_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPIOC_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPIOE_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPIOH_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPIOD_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPIOA_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPIOF_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPIOK_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPIOJ_CLK_ENABLE();   }and in CM7 src:static void MX_GPIO_Init(void) { GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct = {0};   /* GPIO Ports Clock Enable */ __HAL_RCC_GPIOC_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPIOA_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPIOH_CLK_ENABLE();   /*Configure GPIO pin : CEC_CK_MCO1_Pin */ GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = CEC_CK_MCO1_Pin; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_AF_PP; GPIO

Hello,as many before I am wondering how to add custom headers to a project generated by TouchGFX. I have read a few forum posts like these:https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X0000BJ22vx/how-to-manually-add-include-path-to-touchgfx-designerwindowshttps://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00000TEpmmSAD/how-to-add-nontouchgfx-header-and-source-files-to-touchgfx-makefileI tried to include the header path in the makefile like this (I have no clue on how to code a makefile):is also tried:this is how it looks like in CubeIDE:I want to include the folder LEDs with my two needed headers. Could someone pls write some "Makefile examplecode" on how the include path hast to look like?Also for better understanding, why isn´t simply adding a new header to the project viable? It works for c files but not for headers an it also works for non TouchGFX projects. I simply copied the header code to my declarations before my main function and the functions defined in my c file worked as expected (e.g SK

Recently I have been tasked with developing our companies embedded testing strategy. The task is little bit above me since this is my first job, however I am determined to learn anything I need to and put together a solution that works for the company. The embedded team is small: only 4 of us + 1 electronics team member who is willing to lend a hand in writing software.We are working with STM32 series of MCU with the ST Cube Ecosystem of tools. At the moment the company has no formal testing procedure. We are also short on time & manpower.I have introduced a unit testing framework recently, however it has its weakness (not all embedded code can be tested, maintaining it is harder, just need a single API call HAL then the unit testing framework gets confused.)I have been looking around the web a bit and most people say: yeh we use python to automate our testing of embedded systems etc .... what does that mean, how do you use python scripts to test your system, is there any framework

Hi all,1)in STM32F446xC/E it is written that the memory consists out of 8 Blocks each 512-Mbytes. This leads to 4.096-GB. In PM0214 its written: The processor has a fixed memory map that provides up to 4 GB of addressable memory. Now my question: How much does it have in total, 4.096GB or 4.000GB? Or does it mean 0.096GB are not addressable?2)Is it correct, that some Addresses only refer to 4 Bit areas? Otherwise I cant explain the 4.096GB knowing that the last Address is 0xFFFFFFFF. In the beginning i thought it might be 8 bits per address but that would result into 4,29....GB.Or is there something i got completly wrong?

I have an STM32H735G Discovery Kit and I'm using it with STM32CubeH7 IDE.I want to modify the projects for my own code. Specifically, I want to make a copy of a project.But, I MUST keep the metadata for the toolchain and the debugger. Right now, I can use the STM32 Project Wizard to import sample code, which has the correct settings for the project, including toolchains and debugger targets.Let's say I take a library project from Github, or from the zipfile where Cube keeps its sample code. Let's say it's the LwIP_HTTP_Server, which has almost everything I need to modify it for my own project. I then make a new project that is makefile-based and import the project code.NOTHING WORKS. NOTHING.The toolchain pointers are missing, and the debug target can't be found. CMSIS is missing, and obviously the particular project won't build without any of these things.I can't find any of these things exposed in the menus. There is NO option that I can see to make a "blank" project with the STM32MC

Hi allI am having difficulties adding the CMSIS include libraries in the cube IDE, when I attempt to build the project I am getting error messages about files that are already included in the "path and symbols" -> "includes directory". For example the "arm_math.h" library.but I have already included the CMSIS DSP include library which has the "arm_math.h" file in the "Path and symbols"-> "includes directory" section. as seen here : could anyone help me regarding this issue ?Thanks

Hi all,I would like to know how to use "handleTickEvent" on AnalogClock.I draw a screen with a Analog but thisone never upate itself.I see other examples witch use handleTickEvent to execute a new render but all has the same configurations..The strange thing is that In my code this routine is called for about 10 times only when touchscreen is pressed.this is my code:void Screen2View::handleTickEvent() { tickCounter++;   if (tickCounter % 60 == 0) { if (++analogSeconds >= 60) { analogSeconds = 0; if (++analogMinutes >= 60) { analogMinutes = 0; if (++analogHours >= 24) { analogHours = 0; } } }   // Update the clocks analogClock1.setTime24Hour(analogHours, analogMinutes, analogSeconds); } }class Screen2View : public Screen2ViewBase { public: Screen2View(); virtual ~Screen2View() {} virtual void setupScreen(); virtual void tearDownScreen();   virtual void handleTickEvent(); protected: int tickCounter; int analogHours; int analogMinutes; in

When reading from an SD card using SPI and FAT32 using either f_read() or f_gets() the data returned does not match the actual file contents.I am using an STM32F103C8.fresult = f_open(&fil, "0:test.txt", FA_OPEN_EXISTING | FA_READ | FA_WRITE);   unsigned int bytesWritten = 0; bufclear(buffer, 1024); sprintf(buffer, "test TEST test 123");   fresult = f_write(&fil, buffer, bufsize(buffer), &bytesWritten);   char fileBuf[10]; bufclear(fileBuf, 10);   f_gets(fileBuf, 10, &fil);

Hi Team,Basing on the lastest "STM32F4xx_StdPeriph_Driver" to Read SPI data and then write into external FSMC(8bit) device in the PWM interrupt like following .//----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------void TIM2_IRQHandler(void){ SPI1->DR = 0; // SPI_InitStructure.SPI_DataSize = SPI_DataSize_16b; FTadd = Word_Upload++; // #define FTadd (*( uint16_t *)0x64000002) TIM_ClearITPendingBit(TIM2,TIM_IT_Update); }//----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------But from the LA waveform below, both SPI clock and FSMC #WR ops doubled.FSMC init as following//-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- port.FSMC_AddressSetupTime = 0X05; port.FSMC_AddressHoldTime = 0X05; port.FSMC_DataSetupTime =0X0c; port.FSMC_BusTurnAroundDuration = 0X0a; port.FSMC_CLKDivision = 0X00; port.FSMC_DataLatency

EE designed the board with both pins in use and both needing to wake up from STOP2. At start PA5 must be used to awake. Once awake, switch interrupt to PB5 for normal processing. When normal processing is done, switch back to PA5 and enter STOP2. Is there some sample code out there that I can use? Or do I need to reinvent the wheel?

Because I do not have access to the BOOT0 pin (custom board, not eval board) I have used the software method of branching into the bootloader : https://stm32f4-discovery.net/2017/04/tutorial-jump-system-memory-software-stm32/I have adpted this code for the device (notably bootloader address 0x1FF0 0000)USART2 physical pins are PA2 and 3My questions are:Is the bootloader code listening to USART2, is it listening to everything? Or does this require a specific configuration?Do I need to configure the USART2 with baudrate etc. before jumping to the bootlaoder so that it corresponds to the CUBE->UART settings or is this an automatic process?____logs from Cube15:59:33:510 : Serial Port COM34 is successfully opened.15:59:33:511 : Port configuration: parity = even, baudrate = 115200, data-bit = 8, stop-bit = 1.0, flow-control = off15:59:33:511 : No Init bits value is : 0 15:59:33:511 : Sending init command: 15:59:33:511 : byte 0x7F sent successfully to target15:59:34:511 : Wait en

Hello everyone. I am currently working with an STM32F469I-Discovery Board. I created my project using the STM32CubeIDE board selector and made my layout using TouchGFX. Both softwares communicate as it should and I can generate code from one software and see the changes in the other one. I successfully added a task to FreeRTOS so I know I can correctly program the board and that it is working. I also tested an example showing me that the screen is working as it should too.Now comes my problem. I am completely unable to display anything on the screen that has been created using TouchGFX and STM32CubeIDE. I configure the LTDC as well as the DSI in all imaginable configurations and nothing is working.I was expecting it to be rather straight forward, without barely touching anything:create the project in STM32CubeIDE (screen and communication configured by the IDE),modify the TouchGFX file to look as I want,generate the code,built and debug the code in STM32CubeIDE,the display shows up.Do

Hello, In my project I have 2 screen, Lets call it SCR-1 and SCR-2. First SCR-1 will be displayed for 1 sec and post SCR-2 will be displayed all time. Everything works fine till thn.In my project sometimes, I need to again put SCR-1 (with SCR-1 for 1 sec and thn SCR-2) during run time. When I try to do same, I am facing assert function. So screen is able to successfully change from SCR-2 to SCR-1 but post 1 sec while trying to go for SCR-2, touchgfx is going for assert.Below are the stack information. Here SCR-2 is main screen void FrontendApplicationBase::gotoMainScreenScreenNoTransitionImpl() { touchgfx::makeTransition<MainScreenView, MainScreenPresenter, touchgfx::NoTransition, Model >(&currentScreen, &currentPresenter, frontendHeap, &currentTransition, &model); }Its going for assert while at add(customizedArea), basically I added customizedArea as customized widget. QRCodeWidget customizedArea;void MainScreenView::setupScreen() {   customizedArea.s

Hi @All ALL @Martin KJELDSEN I am using STM32F412CGU6 microcontroller.I would like to Configure UART1 with following settings.  • Baud Rate: 9600  • Start bits: 1  • Parity: Even  • Data Bits: 7  • Flow Control: Off  • Stop Bits: 1In STM32CubeMX, There is no configuration available for Data Bits 7.So, How can I configure the above UART settings.Thanks Nikunj Patel

Hello, I'm working on a STM32F723E-Discovery and I'm trying to use the LCD screen.I can't even turn it on.There is a demo version that when I implement it, works correctly, the screen is functional. But the source code is not provided with the demo version, so I can't compare with my configuration ...I think it's a CPU configuration problem on CubeMX, actually I don't really know which configuration to do.Do you have examples of configurations on CubeMX for this board ? I can't find anything on the internet.Of course I installed TouchGFX generator and activated it on my configuration, then I opened TouchGFX with the file associated with it, then I put a simple button and I generated the code, it was well generated without errors and was well implemented in my project.But when I build and debug no errors, nothing moves, the screen doesn't deign to light up.Note that this is not a default of the card as the demo project is working properly.Thanks

Hello,i have a Nucleo-144 board, where i replaced the STM32F429ZI for a STM32F439ZI.I used CubeMX 5.2.0 to create a ethernet test project just to ping the board and go further from there, but i cant get it to work.Ethernet is enabledEthernet interrupt is enabled.The parameter settings:And the advanced parameter settings:The clock configuration:LwIP is enabled, general settings (Ive tested with bot static and dynamic IP, both wont work):I left most of the LwIP options at standart, except i setLWIP_BROADCAST_PING (Respond to Broadcast Pings) EnabledLWIP_MULTICAST_PING (Respond to Multicast Pings) EnabledAlso CHECKSUM_BY_HARDWARE is enabled, as well as all the CHEKSUM_GEN_*** and CHECKSUM_CHECK_***Ive build the source code with Minimum Heap Size 0x2000 and Minimum Stack Size 0x4000.In Atollic TrueSTUDIO 9.0.1 ive build the project, where i needed to copy fsdata.c to Middlewares/Third_Party/LwIP/src/apps/httpd/ and exclude it from build, so the file would build properly.I added MX_LWIP_Pro

Hi,I'm wondering if I can remove the LCD to put in a different one.Thanks!

I try to create a graphic application based on stm32h747xi. When I tried to select x-cube-touchgfx in stm32cubemx. the option is gray and a warning says "this pac cannot be used on the selected MCU". Does stm32h747xi really not support x-cube-touchgfx.4.14.0

I would like to use SDIO with 1 bit mode with FatFS. I use STM32F207VE MCU. The SD card is a 16 GB SanDisk.Version of STM32CubeMX is 6.1.1, firmware version is STM32Cube FW_F2 V1.9.2.FATFS R0.11 version used.When I generate SDIO with 1 bit mode it is not working. Function 'f_open' is returning with error code: 12 which is 'FR_NOT_ENABLED' and f_read return with error code 9, which is 'FR_INVALID_OBJECT' // codewhile(1){ retSD=f_mount(&SDFatFS, SDPath, 1); HAL_Delay(20); if(resSD == 0) { HAL_Delay(20); retSD = f_open(&SDFile, "HL.txt", FA_READ); HAL_Delay(200); retSD = f_read(&SDFile, array,sizeof(array),bytesread); HAL_Delay(200); f_close(&SDFile); }}help me how can I solve this.
