How do I read the distance of the closest detected object instead of an average distance of all detected objects with the VL53L1X? Greetings. If I point the sensor at a wall and then slowly move my hand into the sensor's viewing area, the sensor gradually changes its reported range from the distance to the wall to the distance to my hand as shown in this graph. Is it possible to set up the sensor to immediately report my hand's true distance as soon as it is detected instead of reporting a false distance until it has been fully moved in front of the sensor? Here is my API setup code:VL53L1X_SensorInit( 0 ); VL53L1X_SetTimingBudgetInMs( 0, 20 ); // 20ms sample time VL53L1X_SetInterMeasurementInMs( 0, 20 ); // Sample every 20ms VL53L1X_StartRanging( 0 );Thank youScott Wild

I'm working on a batch of prototypes using the STM32L031 series, but can't seem to wake up the device using the WKUP3 pin. Waking it up through WKUP1 goes without problems, but I also need WKUP3.In my stumble I've come across a few possible hints:In CubeMX the pin (PA2) is clearly noted as SYS_WKUP3. Datasheets, too, reference manual as well. However, when calling "HAL_PWR_EnableWakeUpPin(PWR_WAKEUP_PIN3);" we run into "assert_param(IS_PWR_WAKEUP_PIN(WakeUpPinx));". Here we see the following:#elif defined (STM32L010x8) || defined (STM32L031xx) || defined (STM32L041xx) #define IS_PWR_WAKEUP_PIN(PIN) (((PIN) == PWR_WAKEUP_PIN1) || ((PIN) == PWR_WAKEUP_PIN2))This would indicate this chip does not have WKUP3. Looking further however we find: #if defined (STM32L010x4) || defined (STM32L010x6) || defined (STM32L011xx) || defined (STM32L021xx) || defined (STM32L031xx) || defined (STM32L041xx) || defined (STM32L071xx) || defined (STM32L072xx) || defined (STM32L073xx) || defined (STM32L081xx) ||

I'm trying to get TIM7 interrupts working with the STM32MP157C-DK2 kit. I've added the necessary configuration to the DTS file:&m4_timers7 { pinctrl-names = "rproc_default"; pinctrl-0 = <&timer7_pins>; status = "okay"; };Do I need to enable the interrupt in the DTS file as well? I see in the M4 example DTS there is some configuration for a GPIO interrupt:&m4_rproc { m4_system_resources { status = "okay";   button { compatible = "rproc-srm-dev"; interrupt-parent = <&gpioa>; interrupts = <14 2>; interrupt-names = "irq"; status = "okay"; };   m4_led: m4_led { compatible = "rproc-srm-dev"; pinctrl-names = "rproc_default", "rproc_sleep"; pinctrl-0 = <&leds_orange_pins>; pinctrl-1 = <&leds_orange_sleep_pins>; status = "okay"; }; }; };On the M4 side: I've configured TIM7 in CubeMX (prescalar: 10000, period: 100, interrupt enabled). The only configuration I see for TIM7 comes from MX_TI

Generally, a basic circuit design to generate a 4 to 20 milliamp current loop would use an op amp, FET and handful of resistors in addition to an input voltage or current which, in this case, would be the DAC. (please see attached) Can the internal op amp on the STM32L476 be used in this instance?

Hello,I am looking to perform a similar resource usage as explained here https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/basic-concepts/memory-usage/However, I am wondering if there is a guide that is available using freely available tools to dothe memory analysis on the deployed code.My environment is TouchGFX-Designer-4.16.0 and I am able to generate & deploy code toan STM32F769I-DISCO board. I don't have dedicated IDEs installed yet.I found C:/TouchGFXProjects/MyProjectName/gcc/Makefileand I see the lines linker_options that eventually leads me toTouchGFX\build\bin\application.map - Is this the correct file? Its contents is not summarized as shown in the examples, so I am wondering if there are post processing steps that can be done to that file.Or is there a better option? Is the expectation to be able to just open the .cproject file in STM32CubeIDE and do a build? An updated guide on the analysis based on STM32CubeIDE or VisualStudioCode maybe more accessible for more people that are just

Hello,I am using SPI1 on STM32H743ZI MCU.When I use SPI Transmit Function it works well. But when I use :HAL_SPI_Receive(&hspi1, ads_buf, READBACK_LENGTH,500);ads_buf is still full of 0, it does not get filledI checked with logic analyser and it is working fine :I am using DTCMRAM but I tried to move to RAMD1 and the problem is still thereAny ideas how to solve this ?

Hello,we have developed a custom antenna and modified the reader circuit a bit to our needs, but are heavily struggling with reading performance. While we were able to read up 17cm above the MB1441-C Discovery Board using ISO15693 tags, our own circuit struggles to get even close to 5cm when using the MB1396-B, when using our own MCU it gets even worse (below 1cm). The layout and design is close to the reference one. So we found an antenna expert doing some simulations for us, while we try to find the root cause as well. In order to do a model simulation we would like to test the reading range with 14443 tags at a set bitrate of 848kbit/s inside the GUI. How can I set the bitrate to a specific value and run a continuous scan on the RF Field? What is the best place to start to measure and improve the design to find the root cause? What should we measure and what are the expected values in order to tune the antenna properly?Cheers,Philip

Hi all, I have an application under test with MCU STM32F411 that working in impulsive high magnetic field generate by a big inductor. Below the specification:duration of impulse 400us;intensitiy of magnetic field is 2,5 Tesla peak;magnetic filed has a shape of sine wave with 400us duration that is 1 cycles.repetition of impulse is in range of 1Hz to 150Hz repetition (1s to 6ms).pcb with MCU and EEPROM are apply over coils at 1cm distanceI would like to know if these conditions are dangerous for STM32F411 its internal flash source code application or SRAM data that may be currupt by magnetic field.Any suggestion to keep control internal MCU or SRAM content that can be currupt by impulsive high magneti field?

Hello, reading about the EMIF06-MSD02N16 datasheet it's quoting that it complies with IEC ESD 61000-4-2 Level 4 however the air discharge voltages quoted are 12kV. IEC 61000-4-2 specifies the air discharge Level 4 voltage as 15kV. Is this a typo, as the datasheet quotes 8kV Contact (which is correct for Level 4 IEC ESD)

HalloSince i installated STM32CubeProgrammer the DfuseDemo no longer works.I found out that the driver is the Problem. When i use "STM32 Bootloader" --> STM32Cubeprogrammer find the µC but DfuseDemo don´t.When i use "STM Device in DFU Mode Version: 3.0.6.1" --> DfuseDemo find the µC but STM32Cubeprogrammer don´t.In the development department we use stm32cube programmer. However, dfuseDemo is to be used in other departments and by the customer. Is there a possibility to use both software without changing the driver?Could the latest versions of the programs agree on one (or both) drivers?

Hello,I am trying to get a simple GPIO toggle working with the NUCLEO H743ZI board. I noticed that when I try using the GPIO port F pins, even though the port registers are configured correctly and I can see the bit changing in the GPIOF_ODR register. I do not see any coltage change on the pin. I tried the same code with other GPIO ports and it seems to be working fine. Hi, Before posting this question, I did enough testing and understand the concept of certificate verification process. I am stuck with this issue since last one week and couldn't understand the associated route cause. Please help me resolve this issue. Requesting some ST core engineer to look into it.

I seem to be unable to get the RTC to start. I can set the time, and read from it, but it doesn't increment.I have tried using the external and internal oscillator, neither have been successful. Everything has been set up with CubeMx, and I have used the RTC before on an STM32L0 micro with no issue, comparing it to my old code I cant see what I am doing differently.I have attached the relevant parts of the code, if you know what I am missing please let me know. Thanks,Lukestatic void MX_RTC_Init(void) {   RTC_TimeTypeDef sTime; RTC_DateTypeDef sDate;   /**Initialize RTC Only */ hrtc.Instance = RTC; if(HAL_RTCEx_BKUPRead(&hrtc, RTC_BKP_DR0) != 0x32F2){ hrtc.Init.HourFormat = RTC_HOURFORMAT_24; hrtc.Init.AsynchPrediv = 127; hrtc.Init.SynchPrediv = 255; hrtc.Init.OutPut = RTC_OUTPUT_DISABLE; hrtc.Init.OutPutPolarity = RTC_OUTPUT_POLARITY_HIGH; hrtc.Init.OutPutType = RTC_OUTPUT_TYPE_OPENDRAIN; if (HAL_RTC_Init(&hrtc) != HAL_OK) { _Error_Handler(__FILE__, __L

I'm currently evaluating several boards, but I'm having trouble downloading the application templates. The quoted error will appear sporadically through the download process... anywhere between 0% and 30% downloaded. My internet connection is definitely fine, we have not reported any issues there with other apps / browsers.Any idea what's happening?

The technical docs state that multipleication (MULS instruction) can take either 1 cycle or 32 cycles. This is defined when the board is produced. Does anyone know which of the two configurations the STM32F072RB uses?
