Hi,I want to know whether the SPC570S MCU is a obsolete product? If so what MCU product line is recommended for future development?Nisal

At first, let me say that these are my first steps with the STM32H743 so it's really possible I'm doing something really wrong. I've been having issues with the USART which would show that the PC only receives some characters and others have invalid values. So upon sending Hello World, the PC would receive something along the line ".e...W..l." with the characters in between being "wrong".I then checked on my scope and came to the conclusion that the USART frequency was off by approx 7%. I traced it back and made the STM32 put out the MCO signal of the HSI RC (64MHz) divided by 8. What I get is a whopping ~7.5MHz which is approx the 7% difference I am seeing.According to the datasheet, the HSI frequency should be off at maximum by about 0.4% (63.7 - 64.3MHz max). Why am I seeing those 7.5MHz which I do not expect at all and which are .. frankly .. useless.

Hi, what is the correct way to validate the data from a gyroscope? we are receiving data but we don't know if the values are correct

Hello, for my project I have decided for negotiating 20V using USB-C PD protocol, to power an external LED lighting. My circuit design comes from the minimum implementation in the datasheet, but I've decided to get rid of the p-MOSFET as I don't need on/off switch on the sink. I believe that the negotiation is happening on the CC lines, so hopefully, this decision shouldn't interfere. According to the datasheet, the VBUS_EN_SNK pin is an open-drain which I believe could even be left unconnected.I am unable to negotiate any voltage above 5V. I've tried to use both factory settings of the chip and also programming the NVM contents by myself. Here is the schematic of the circuit: I've already inspected the board for soldering problems and tried four different pieces. The EVAL-SCS002V1 board is working as expected using the same USB-C power adapter, as well as the SparkFun Power Delivery Board. This is the content of the NVRAM I tried (apart from the factory defaults):00 00 b0

Hello support team,We are decided to use your ISM330DHCX for our next products. So we are ongoing to describing the FW requirement to the FW team in our organization. However, I’m not sure we should use the USER OFFSET registers in device for the offset calibration. I think some of specs as described in the d/s (ie: LA_So, LA_Cx) are assumed with use the USER OFFSET registers. Is it correct? Or, even not use the USER OFFSET registers but the specs are guaranteed? I think for the offset calibration, the USER OFFSET registers should be used but some colleagues believe no use the USER OFFSET registers should be ok and the offset value can store in the memory in the MCU and use for the calibration by the MCU at each time as to decide the angles. Please give us your advice.Best regards,Izumi Maruyama

In CubeMX version 6.20, board Nucleo-H743ZI2: I want to find alternatives for SPI1_MOSI. Default is PD7 but all examples use PA7.So I ctrl/click on PD7 and expect that CubeMX will show me PA7. But it does not.Well maybe it finds it, but does not show it in any useful way.Tried left , right, middle click, left or right control.Same with PA7: if selected as SPI1_MOSI, ctrl/click will not show PD7.--pa

Hello!I am wondering what the high level process for enabling a USART port is. I am enabling RCC_AHB1ENR_GPIODENRCC_APB1ENR_USART2ENBut the TX line stays low. I am guessing it has to do with the clock? Thanks

I'm trying to get the USBPD middleware running with 2 ports: 1 source and 1 sink. I already followed the tutorial to get 1 port working as a sink. When I add the second port as a source, the chip immediately hits a hardfault after starting. I traced it back and the problem is on line 1013 of usbpd_cad_hw_if.c, where _handle->CAD_PtrStateMachine(PortNum, pEvent, pCCXX) is run. The problem is that for some reason, _handle->CAD_PtrStateMachine is never initialized and is actually a NULL pointer. Naturally, this hardfaults immediately. The problem with the init seems to be around line 296 to 358. There are a number of #if defined (***) macros that control which functions are assigned to _handle->CAD_PtrStateMachine depending on whether _SNK, _SRC, or _DRP are defined in the project. It looks like CubeMx is defining _DRP when one of the ports is a sink and the other is a source even though neither port is actually configured for dual role. This activates the code path at line 298 bu

HiHow to quickly configure FreeRTOS to work with the IDE?Andrzej

Hello,When I try to open a saved design I receive message "Load Design Failed!".It was previously updated with AlgoBuilder v 2.8.0.4490.Please find xml fileThank you for your help!Best regards,Jean

Hello, I a new with NUCLEO STM32H753ZI and trying the SBSFU examples (1 and 2 images). I can flash and launch the SBSFU but I can't load any user application (userapp.sfb)I use STM32 tools, either using Linux or Windows with the same result :I connect with a VCP using Teraterm (on Windows) or Minicom on Linux) with YMODEM protocol,The terminal display the SBSFU sequence, which is good and terminates by waiting for a user appli to be downloadedI Send the UserApp.sfb with (File->Transfer->Ymodem)AND the load remains stopped at the first block ....I have followed the guides given in the examples documentation (from readme files into project SBSFU V2.4.0), I have applied :The security configuration (Option Bytes set to Default "No Security")Serial configuration seems also OK

Hi,I'm working with the stm32mp157f-dk2 and with OpenSTLinux and I'm trying to create a GATT service for provisioning the wifi credentials. The problem is, according to https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_scan_BLE_devices I should be able to run the gatttool command. Unfurntently I'm not. I have already re-flashed the OpenSTLinux and I also have reprogrammed the kernel.I'm running the OpenSTLinux 5-4 20-11-12.What should I do? I have also tried the apt-get install command..Thanks,Fernando Fontes

Hi, we have designed a custom PCB with the LSM9DS1 as IMU, we are receiving data from the accel, mag, and gyro, in the case of the accel I think is easier to know if the measure is ok (we must get 1G in the z-axis), but how could we validate if the data of the magnetometer is correct? , is there any expected value? we are not using an ST microcontroller to interface with the sensor. Thanks

In CubeMX the name for the Automatic Retransmission of CAN-Messages is named: "NO-AUTOMATIC Retransmission"and is set to "DISABLE"When reading this I interpreted it as: Automatic Retransmission is done if set to DISABLEIn the generated code however the corresponding setting is:hcan1.Init.AutoRetransmission = DISABLE;Which leads to "no Automatic retransmission" and therefore to missing messages in case of high busload !!!Please correct the wording in STMCubeMX so other users are not falling into the same problem.BR GS

I am using GStreamer to stream live video from mjpeg cameras. For this I am using a pipeline which is roughly equivalent to this one:gst-launch-1.0 souphttpsrc is-live=true location=<camera_url> ! multipartdemux ! image/jpeg,framerate=0/1 ! jpegparse ! avdec_mjpeg ! videoconvert ! waylandsinkThis was working fine with OpenSTLinux 1.x, but with 2.x the video stutters or even freezes. Can someone help?Guillermo

Hi,I have one LSM6DSO32 with an Atmel SAMD21 Cortex M0. I use i2c to comunicate with the sensor. I use Arduino ide and Arduino librarys Wire for i2C communication. I've read the datasheet first of all I set some registers of my sensor I set gyro to 500° et accel to 8g//gyro 500° Wire.beginTransmission(DSO_ADDRESS); Wire.write(0x11); Wire.write(0x54); Wire.endTransmission();   //accel 8g Wire.beginTransmission(DSO_ADDRESS); Wire.write(0x10); Wire.write(0x58); Wire.endTransmission();DSO_ADDRESS is define by 0x6A. So I think everything works beceause if I try to read 0x11 after I set the value 0x54 I get this value :grinning_face: My problem comes when I want to read raw data from gyro and accel, I do that ://global variables int raw_temperature = 0; int gyro_raw[3] = {0, 0, 0}; int acc_raw[3] = {0, 0, 0};   //some codes here   void readSensor(){ Wire.beginTransmission(DSO_ADDRESS); Wire.write(0x20); Wire.endTransmission(); Wire.requestFrom(DSO_ADDRESS,

Posted on February 13, 2017 at 21:45So I'm DFU'ing. Successfully bootloading the device with the USB connections on PA11 and PA12 DFU is built into the STM32L476. Plodding along and loading my micro a few times with a few different compilations all good. THEN ---- POOF. One of them won't verify using DFU.So I try a file that just *DID* work with DFU.Yep - It worked again ??  WTH over.Dump the offending file into the device with STLink ---- works.....I repeat a few things, including inappropriate workplace language and its consistent. (The PROBLEM. Not the Language. I try to mix that up a lot. )So thinking I have the all singing and dancing IDE (Truestudio), I look for PAD out options. D A R N if I can find it.So I visit here again (I like it here) and I look here and findhttps://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X00009XkdwK/dfu-dfuse-problem-with-stm32l4-stm32l476vgReally?Get your HEX EDITOR (XVI32) out and add PADDING?The word LAME comes to

I have a 3 VL53L1X satel boards with me .I started testing it out and am facing some minor issues. I saw in the data sheet that I can program the Region of Interest. I am programming it in arduino. I was hoping if I can get a sample code with the programable ROI so i can get started. I was also hoping to know how i can change all of the device address and program it in ESP32 if arduino Nano cannot manage 3 I2C devices at once.Thank you so much in advance

I have some sliders in a scrollable container. I found that when I move the slider, the screen can still move up and down. How to temporarily lock the scroll function to avoid screen movement when the slider is triggered

Hi everyone,I am too new at STM, so I couldn't understand how to measure DC current. Can anyone help me to do my setting and code, please. I found out code for AC current and I decided to change some parts of this code, but I couldn't understand how should I do settings of pinout and configuration.

Circuit (programmer given by SAMTECH part) (zoom in to see):When I connect STLINK V3 Mini to program the STM32L4676RG MCU, it detects the chip without errors. However, when I try to flash, STLINK generates fail.text.Any idea what's happening?

I encountered this problem after trying to create a project from an existing ioc file. Afterwards all my endeavors failed as per the below screenshots:

Hello,I use two X-NUCLEO-S2868A2 board with blueNRG-2 with BlueNRG-1_2 DK 3.2.1 and S2-LP_DK_1.3.2I use following RF configuration :#define MODULATION_SELECT MOD_2GFSK_BT1 #define DATARATE 50000 #define FREQ_DEVIATION 25000 #define BANDWIDTH 100000 #define POWER_DBM 14 SRssiInit xSRssiInit = { .cRssiFlt = 14, .xRssiMode = RSSI_STATIC_MODE, .cRssiThreshdBm = RSSI_THR, }; S2LPRadioRssiInit(&xSRssiInit); S2LPRadioCsBlanking(S_ENABLE);RSSI_THR is -100 when I wait for a packet. I configured a s2lp gpio to change with Rx and Tx state : S2LP_GPIO_DIG_OUT_TX_RX_MODE = 0x90 in S2LP_Gpio.h. My issue is that i lose some packets. As you can see in the following screenshot, the sensor enter Rx state before gateway sends its ack. I use the antenna provided with the eval board, and the two boards are very close, few cm. Is it common to lost few packets considering this range ? or am i missing some parameters or functionnalities provided by s2lp ? 2 : Sometimes the app stuck in SpiRawTr

Hi,I'm developing a wearable smart device with nrf52832 and LIS3DH. In order to shutdown the MCU when the device is not worn I want to use the motion detection feature of the LIS3DH with an interrupt, so if the sensor doesn't fire an interrupt event for n minutes the MCU turns off (enters very low power mode). The users can set the interrupt threshold and the full-scale as configuration options. Here my current configurationCTRL_REG1 = 0x2F //10Hz, low power mode, ZXY enableCTRL_REG2 = 0x0 // No HP filterCTRL_REG3 = 0x40 //IA1 enableCTRL_REG4 = 0x00 //2g default value, configurable by userCTRL_REG5 = 0x00CTRL_REG6 = 0x0INT1_THS   = 0x3A // 58 * 16mg = 928 mgINT1_DURATION = 0x02 INT1_CFG  = 0x2A The first question is: In order to update the sensor's configuration according to user preferences, can the MCU write the INT1_THS and CTRL_REG4 registers, after the initial configuration, without physically rebooting the LIS3DH? Should I have to clean them

I am trying to get USB CDC working for the Nucleo-144 board. Where can I find an example application to run on the board?
