I performed the following steps:1) Set JP7 to STLK2) Connect USB -> Demo starts correctly3) Flash a simple self-written code (sets LED to state of user-button) via OpenOCD -> ST-Link works4) Flash a second self-written code (sets both LED to state of user-button) via OpenOCD -> works -> my own code did not break flashing5) Performed Steps 1-4 with a second Eval board -> works6) Copied the OpenOCD config twice and added the two serial numbers of the boards7) Connected both boards via USB (no other connection) and tried adressing them separately -> did not work8) Disconnected both boards, reconnected one, retried step 4 -> did not work. The button/LED-Program does not work any more.Since I couldn't rule out damages like ESD, I bought two new boards.9) Flashed board #3 -> works10) Flashed board #4 -> works11) Connected boards #3 and #4 (connected with CAN-wires in this case) WITHOUT flashing -> boards don't start up any more12) STM32CubeProgrammer does find t

Is it really possible to configure H3LIS331DL to fire an interrupt (a pulse) for each DataReady ?I've never succeded in doing that, It seems to be always mandatory to read Acceleration to "release" the interrupt line, hence being able to have a new interrupt. Please any idea welcome, as geting one pulse for each new data independently of the fact of reading the data would be necessary in case some interrupts ae lost on the host device. Please Help

I have a simple setup of (Arduino) nRF52840 Feather Express connected to steval-mkiv1-184872 -evaluation board. I was going to use it via I2C bus, and followed the connection diagram almost to last letter.   I connected SDA/SCL to feather   I connected VDD and VDDIO to VCC (3.3V)   I connected GND to feather GND   I connected SA0 to GNDThen I write more verbally my steps:I wrote simple Arduino program, to open I2C (Wire -library). The program reads WHO_AM_I successfully. Next step, I added 8bit temperature reading, again successfully get result 0 -- which means +25'C. Also WHO_AM_I is printing ok.This far everything seems to be ok.I got more curious; I try to read long temperature (registers OUT_T_L and OUT_T_H) and combining them to float temperature. No compile errors. And therefore I flashed the latest changes to Arduino (above mentioned nRF board), flashing was successfull. Program starts.......Serial monitor states that device does not open c

Hello,In the data sheet of the sensor (https://www.st.com/resource/en/datasheet/stts22h.pdf), it's mentioned that to set the Address we need to connect the ADDR pin whether to VDD (to have the address 0111000) or to GND (to have the address 0111111), these only two address are mentioned as the only possibilities But in the Evaluation Board documentation (https://www.st.com/resource/en/data_brief/steval-mki200v1k.pdf), the ADDR pin is pulled up to VDD by a resistor, and four values of the resistor are mentioned to select one of four different addresses .can you please clarify which is the right way to set the I2C address?thanks in advance

I have lsm6dso imu sensor, I can add high pass filter or slope filter for wake-up interrupt. Is it possible to add filter to fsm interrupt ?

I am currently developping a system which uses an STM32L496 as a USB host that communicates with up to 6 USB devices through a few hubs. The devices are all CDC or Audio class, and are controlled by the singular STM32L496 on the USB bus, but there is very little data passing through (dozens of messages a second at most and maybe an audio stream), so I think the L4 chips line should be able to handle this task.So for this system I need a USB Host library that is compatible with STM32L4 MCUs and hubs/multiple devices. Now as you may be aware the STM32 USB host library that is part of the STM32L4 package does not support the hub class and so cannot communicate with mutliple devices through a hub. That leaves me with 3rd party solutions. There are several commercial USB Host libraries available that seem to support hubs, see below, and there is also the Azure RTOS USBX stack. The problem is the USBX stack specifically for the L4 line has been announced (STM32Cube and AzureRTOS: Overview) b

hi friendI am trying to set my borad into halt mode and then wake it up and set it to run mode.I read AN3316 and write this code but its not work. if(pal_lld_readpad(PORT_E, pushbutton)==0) { StopmodeFlag = 1U; pal_lld_togglepad(PORT_H,LEDTEST);   osalThreadDelayMilliseconds(100);   pal_lld_togglepad(PORT_H,LEDTEST); }  if (StopmodeFlag == 1U){    /*( Mode set in HALT) dar safhe 25 Application noteSPC560B power and mode management*/        ME.HALT0.B.CFLAON=2;  //(code Flash in Low Power mode)        ME.HALT0.B.DFLAON=2;  //(data Flash in Low Power mode)        ME.HALT0.B.FXOSC0ON = 1;  //(turn-on the XTAL)        ME.HALT0.B.FMPLLON = 1;  //(turn-on the PLL)        ME.HALT0.B.SYSCLK = 4;   //(s

Hello ST,From datasheet(PM0253), The SHPR1-SHPR3 registers set the priority level, 0 to 255 of the exception handlers that have configurable priority. Also from datasheet,Each PRI_n field is 8 bits wide, but the processor implements only bits[7:M] of each field, and bits[M-1:0] read as zero and ignore writes. What is the value of M? How does this relate to Binary point priority grouping?ThanksDheeraj

Hi ST.I'm using STM32 L4P5 as a Master in I2C.slave device is slow to write data, so I did the slave device do clock stretching for a moment. Is there any enable related to clock stretching on L4P5?If so, what's the way to enable it?thank you

Hi, Im developing an app that use more than one ST25R3911B-Disco reader boards at the same time and I need a way to differentiate between them. As such, does anyone know if I can use any of the command provided by "ST25R3911_Interface.cs" file and if so, what is the syntax to do the following:1) get STM32 UID2) IdentifyPlease do help. p/s: My last resort is to figure out using "DISCO-STM32L4x6" firmware folder but i hope there is a faster way.

I am starting a new project on STM32H7 and would like to start using AzureRTOS.I have a very primitive example on github here : https://github.com/c4chris/H745-Test I thought I could simply replace FreeRTOS with AzureRTOS on both cores, but so far I failed, I probably do something wrong but I can't figure out what...Thanks for any helpKind regards,Christian

Hello, thereI was not able to use the NJTRST (PB4) pin as a general GPIO input pin. I googled and other people having the same issue using the macro: __HAL_AFIO_REMAP_SWJ_NONJTRST()to remap the NJTRST pin. Yet, this macro is not available for the STM32L431 that I am using. I use STM32CubeMX to generate the baseline codes. My questions are:I never used JTAG to debug the stm32 before, and I don't recall ever having trouble configuring this particular pin (NJTRST) to be an GPIO input pin. Have I simply been ignorant until now ?If there is indeed a need to remap this NJTRST pin before using it as an GPIO input pin, how do I do that without the macro mentioned above ?Thanks,Eric

Hello Folks, We intermittently see an "invalid protocol - 0x83' error while reading data.send_cmd 0x04 0x04 0x16 0x00 0x00 0x00rcv_hdr 0x83 0x00This happens intermittently and I have not been successful in reproducing the error. Usually a restart or connect helps to resolve the error.Any pointers on what is causing the error and how to reproduce it on a testing environment?Best Regards,Abhi.

I want to replace a 5114 or equivalent SRAM with the M48Z02 NVRAM to do away with batteries. As the 5114 has 4 data lines, the M48Z02 will have 4 'spare'. I want to pull those low, as well as A10, so if I need to, I can then use them for a second 5114 to allow access to the top half of the M48Z02 by setting a jumper on A10 to take it High. I can't determine the source current on the data pins and A10 from the data sheet, to be able determine a Pull Down Resistor value. There are four I values in table 8, 1uA, 2.3mA, 3mA and 80mA, but which one is the data source current. Thanks in advance.

Hello.I'm testing ADC with DMA on STM32G071. I wanted to have interrupt on transfer complete, but I had trouble clearing TCIF flag in ICFR register. Even if I cleared the bit, ISR was entered again immediately. I don't have circular mode set neither on ADC nor on DMA.I checked, how it is done in HAL drivers. First, TCIE is cleared and only then TCIF is cleared, although Reference says, that TCIE must not be written, when channel is enabled. Can the bit be cleared, or is there some better way how to stop ISR to be called immediately again and again?STM32G071 reference, section 10.6.3"Bit 3 TEIE: transfer error interrupt enable0: disabled1: enabledNote: this bit is set and cleared by software. It must not be written when the channel is enabled (EN = 1).It is not read-only when the channel is enabled (EN = 1)."stm32g0xx_hal_dma.celse if ((0U != (flag_it & (DMA_FLAG_TC1 << (hdma->ChannelIndex & 0x1cU)))) && (0U != (source_it & DMA_IT_TC))) { if ((hdma->Insta

Hi,first I want to say that STM32CubeMonitor (I am running 1.1.0) is a really fantastic debug tool, and it was a really good idea from ST do use nodered for this.It makes many debug tasks A LOT easier than before and it is really a lot of fun to play with. Well done! Now I would like to read in data not only from the MCU registers and variables, but also from the serial port of my MCU.For this I tried to install the node-red-node-serialport package (0.11.0).Unfortunately, with this package I get a lot of error messages in my console window:  11 Sep 16:55:53 - [warn] [node-red-node-serialport/serialport] Error: The module '\\?\C:\Users\rausch\.STMicroelectronics\stm32cubemonitor\node_modules\@serialport\bindings\build\Release\bindings.node'was compiled against a different Node.js version usingNODE_MODULE_VERSION 72. This version of Node.js requiresNODE_MODULE_VERSION 73. Please try re-compiling or re-installingthe module (for instance, using `npm rebuild` or `npm install`).Neit

Hi Community,We send to manufacturing PCB to our supplier but he has a problem with the mark(attached) of the sensor IIS3DWBTR, and we want know if the brand is correct for component, we try to read the image as Qr Code and result is 780270TU01RY, but this code isn't enough to check the correct component. Please someone help us

Hi, i am trying to implement CAN Protocol in STM32F103C8 Controller in Normal Mode 1) not knew what should be the hardware required for implement Can protocol2) is their any bug in stm32cubemx code generate using library 1.8.0

I am trying to jump from bootloader from application, I tried the methods given here(adapted to jump to application from bootloader) and here.I am always getting hardfault on executing the setmsp call. The disassembly of the __set_MSP translates to LDR      R3, [R4]MSR      MSP, R3Where the contents of R4 is 0080 2000, which is the application start address, and contents at address 0x00802000 is 0x24080000 which is the stack pointer value. The fault bits set on hardfault are PRECISERR at address(BFAR) 0080 2000. Don't know how to solve this.

I am trying to replace BME280 with this MEMS sensor from ST LPS225HB. The chips are pin to pin compatible except INT_DRDY pin. I dont want to know when the data is ready because my f/w takes care of data update periodically. Usually my application doesn't see too much change in pressure and temperature measurement. Kindly let me know what will happen if the pin is directly shorted to ground. Will it damage the chip?

I'm working with the STM32MP157C-DK2 dev board and I've noticed that sometimes when powering up the board there is a 20-30 second delay where I don't even see the boot up messages. It's doesn't appear to be U-boot related either. Has anyone else notice this? and if so were you able to fix it?

Hi, I'm using STM32L4R5 and I'm planning to use the HSE, and already selected a crystal (Abracon LLC - ABMM2-8.000MHZ-E2-T https://abracon.com/Resonators/ABMM2.pdf).Freq - 8MHzCL1=CL2 = 24pFgmcrit = 0.4548Gain margin = 16.49For external resistor Rext, it says "If the power dissipated in the crystal is higher than the value specified by the crystal manufacturer, the external resistor RExt becomes mandatory to avoid overdriving the crystal. If the power dissipated in the selected quartz is lower than the drive level specified by the crystal manufacturer, the insertion of RExt is not recommended and its value is then 0ohm."How do I know the power dissipation of the crystal? And is Rext necessary? Thanks.Oscillator design guide - https://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/cd00221665-oscillator-design-guide-for-stm8afals-stm32-mcus-and-mpus-stmicroelectronics.pdf

I have noticed what might be a bug in the updateItemCallbackHandler() in my screen's ViewBase file where the itemIndex consistently moves ahead 1 index when I swipe up. /* Scroll Wheel Item Update response to swiping is generated by TouchGFX */ void ModeScreenViewBase::updateItemCallbackHandler(touchgfx::DrawableListItemsInterface* items, int16_t containerIndex, int16_t itemIndex) { if (items == &scrollWheelModeListItems) { touchgfx::Drawable* d = items->getDrawable(containerIndex); ValuesMenu* cc = (ValuesMenu*)d; scrollWheelModeUpdateItem(*cc, itemIndex); } else if (items == &scrollWheelModeSelectedListItems) { touchgfx::Drawable* d = items->getDrawable(containerIndex); ValuesMenu* cc = (ValuesMenu*)d; scrollWheelModeUpdateCenterItem(*cc, itemIndex); } }During debugging, I noticed my value for swiping down to decrement by 1 but swiping up increments by 1 twice initially. The function scrollWheelModeUpdateCenterItem(), which references itemIndex, is call
