Hello all,I am working with the STM32L152RE and want to read out the internal temperature sensor of the mikrocontroller. My code is the following:#define TS_CAL1 *((uint16_t*) 0x1FF800FA) // 30 °C#define TS_CAL2 *((uint16_t*) 0x1FF800FE) // 10 °Cdouble Get_Temp(void){   ADC_ChannelConfTypeDef sConfig = {0};   HAL_StatusTypeDef Res; // GLOBAL CONFIGURATION hadc.Instance = ADC1; hadc.Init.ClockPrescaler = ADC_CLOCK_ASYNC_DIV1; hadc.Init.Resolution = ADC_RESOLUTION_12B; hadc.Init.DataAlign = ADC_DATAALIGN_RIGHT; hadc.Init.ScanConvMode = ADC_SCAN_DISABLE; hadc.Init.EOCSelection = ADC_EOC_SINGLE_CONV; hadc.Init.LowPowerAutoWait = ADC_AUTOWAIT_DISABLE; hadc.Init.LowPowerAutoPowerOff = ADC_AUTOPOWEROFF_DISABLE; hadc.Init.ChannelsBank = ADC_CHANNELS_BANK_A; hadc.Init.ContinuousConvMode = DISABLE; hadc.Init.NbrOfConversion = 1; hadc.Init.DiscontinuousConvMode = DISABLE; hadc.Init.ExternalTrigConv = ADC_SOFTWARE_START; hadc.Init.ExternalTrigConvEdge = ADC_EXTERNALTRIG

Hello everyone,I am using the NucleoH723ZG board and I'd like to use the internal reference voltage for ADC-purposes. Initialising the VREFBUF... VREFBUF->CSR &= ~VREFBUF_CSR_VRS_Msk; //Voltage Reference set to 2.5V VREFBUF->CSR &= ~VREFBUF_CSR_HIZ_Msk; //VREF+ pin is internally connected to the voltage reference buffer output VREFBUF->CSR |= VREFBUF_CSR_ENVR; //Enable Voltage Reference while(!((VREFBUF->CSR) & VREFBUF_CSR_VRR)) //Wait for voltage reference ready { ; }...the code gets stuck in the while-loop. (The clock is also enabled for VREF) Is it possible that this is not intended using the Nucleo Board? I wonder how the VREFP signal on the Nucleo board is connected to the Microcontroller (respectively to the VDD?). Unfortunately I couldn't found the answer in the user manual of the nucleo board. Thank you for your help.Dietmar

Good day. Will it be enough to buy SPC5-UDEDEBG & SPC5-UDESTK-EVALfor unlimited in time and code size debugging of SPC57/58?

All sample programs in STM32Cube_FW_H7_V1.9.0 are without CubeMX config file (.ioc).Configuring from scratch my nucleo-H753ZI with CobeMX (latest version) and moving sample software does not work, like CubeMX setting something wrong

Hello, I want to set up checks for HP filter mode, relative reference mode and absolute reference mode in the device LIS2DW12(according to the document ST released.However I do not understand how should I see the difference between the modes.Can you reference me to a document explaining the difference between the modes?Thank youMaya

Hi, guys.STM32 have a several series STM32F, STM32L, W, U, H..., but what is the meaning of F, L, W, H?(like a F: fast, L: large, H: high spec...?)I think this work is just an version number, someone know is it?Thank you.

I suspect a low power setting.Tested on STM32F746Disco and on Arduino https://github.com/stm32duino/X-NUCLEO-GNSS1A1.

Hi,I have a CubeIDE peroject with STM32H753ZI, C++, TreadX, Nucleo-H753ZI board. This device has 2MB Flash and 16 sectors of 128K each. 16 x 128K = 2MB but the generated stm32h7xx_hal_flash_ex.h includes only 8 sectors. Only OB_WRP_SECTOR_0-7 are defined. Whaere is the rest?Best regards,Osto

The datasheet for the IIS2DLCP gives an operating voltage range of 1.62 to 3.6V. But the supply voltage will usually not be just a clean DC voltage. It might have an AC component (ripple) or there might be short voltage dips caused by load transients on the supply. Will this affect the device function, for example the accuracy? How much ripple or voltage variation is allowed?

Dear Supporters,iam purchanging a STEVAL-BFA001V1B kit and STEVAL-IDP004V1 IO-Link master Board,now i wanted to connect my IO_Link master Board to STM32 Nucleo Board and use Nucleo Board as main Controller. is it possible for data transfer between IO Master Board and Nucleo ?, if so what are the best transfer interfaces (RS 485 or I2C). i come to know that IO master Board has a I²C, so is it possible for communicaion to Nucelo Board?.Thaning you,Nag

Hi,I am trying to understand the graph "precision" as explained here:https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/development/ui-development/ui-components/miscellaneous/dynamic-graph#precision"If for example the level of precision is set to 0.1, each data point added to the DynamicGraph, will be multiplied by 10 internally"I am using a histogram and giving the data points as floats.I set the Precision to 1 and then to 0.1 but did not see any difference in the displayed value.My data point is 20.0f.I thought it would display a value of 200 with a precision set to 0.1.Is the precision only used internally and not for display purposes?Thanks for clarifying the use of this feature.Franck.

Hi,I'm developping an application where we want the cortex-M doing some power management (with OpenAMP) and the cortex-A taking picture and saving it on SD card.I have the STM32MP157A-EV1.I used the OpenAMP_TTY_echo_wakeup sample that I modified for my need to do the power management. Everything is working fine if I boot in third mode (ie. stm32mp157c-ev1-m4-examples). However, I don't have any camera input as it's saying that /dev/video0 doesn't exist.If I boot in second mode (ie. stm32mp157c-ev1-a7-examples), I've got a camera but I couldn't suspend at first (systemctl suspend), because I would get the following error : PM: Device 40017000.dac:dac@1 failed to suspend: error -16So, I commented every line of code linked to DAC and it worked (ie. I could have the OpenAMP and camera running at the same time). But it's not that great of a workaround. Ideally, I would want to update the device tree. Where could I find the initial device trees used so that I just can quickly modify them ? I

Does the STM32WB have drivers to support serial communication over it's USB port?

Hello,I am designing a stepper motor controller with L6482.The choice of L6482 was made because of its integrated dual h-bridge gate drivers and relatively high voltage rating.The chip features nice set of motion commands but due to specific demands I'm planning to use mainly step-clock mode. Unfortunately the Datasheet is not too detailed about step-clock mode. The questions are:Can the chip in step-clock mode automaticaly switch between micro- and full-stepping when a speed treshold is reached?Can it automaticaly reduce motor phases current when the motor is in standstill? What is the function of "external switch input" in this mode? And - out of curiosity - why STM decided not to implement "direction" pin for step-clock mode?Best regardsPawel.

Hello,I programmed the sensorTile with ALLMEMS1 end I used STM32CubeIDE. After compiling the orange light comes on and I can connect to bluetooth with the IOs app, however as soon as I disconnect the NUCLEO the bluetooth stops working. What can I do ? Thaks,Chiara

Hello everyone and i hope youre having a great embedded morning.CDC_Transmit_FS() bricks itself when i check status of the ongoing transmissionis there any mechanism to know when a CDC_Transmit_FS transaction is finished?When i try to CDC_Transmit_FS before the previous CDC_Transmit_FS is done retval=USBD_BUSY which is to be expected, well after that CDC_Transmit_FS doesnt work anymore always returning USBD_BUSY.This code bricks the usb peripheral and can only be used again after system reset:do { //HAL_Delay(100); retval=CDC_Transmit_FS(&buffer, receivedbytes); } while (retval!=USBD_OK);//   retval=CDC_Transmit_FS("finished transmission", sizeof("finished transmission"));//this will return HAL_OK but no transaction will be doneIf i place a dirty delay big enough for the first transaction to be done everything works.retval=CDC_Transmit_FS(&buffer, receivedbytes); HAL_Delay(1000); retval=CDC_Transmit_FS("finished transmission", sizeof("finished transmission"));im using STM3

Hi All,I am setting up TIM8 CH1 and CH3 on a STM32G431 and am seeing a strange result. First of all, I am using an external signal coming in on PC6 TIM8 CH1. For TIM8 CH3 I am only using a software trigger internal to the MCU, I'm not using any external pin for TIM8 CH3. I am looking for a input capture on CH1 and CH3 only. First. is this configuration okay for the G431?When I enable TIM8 I immediately get SR bits set on : UIF, CC1F, CC2F, CC4F, CC1OF, CCI5 and CCI6. I expect the result for CC1F and CC1OF as CH1 input is active. Is there something I need to do in initialization to make sure erroneous flags don't get set on an enable? Would any of these erroneous flags interfere with the DMA I have set up for CH1 and CH3?Here is my TIM8 initialization code:static void MX_TIM8_Init(void) { TIM_ClockConfigTypeDef sClockSourceConfig = {0}; TIM_MasterConfigTypeDef sMasterConfig = {0}; TIM_IC_InitTypeDef sConfigIC = {0}; //TIM_BreakDeadTimeConfigTypeDef sBreakDeadTimeConfig = {0};

I am using STM32L010F4 20 pin on a simple breakout board.I am running STM32CubeIde and using a STM32Lc100-disco as my programmer via SYS_SWCLK (PA14), SYS_SWDIO (PA13) and NRST.All works well can get SPI etc running no problem.I mapped USART2_RX to PA10 and USART2_TX to PA9 and connect this to a serial to USB converter.Config below huart2.Instance = USART2; huart2.Init.BaudRate = 115200; huart2.Init.WordLength = UART_WORDLENGTH_8B; huart2.Init.StopBits = UART_STOPBITS_1; huart2.Init.Parity = UART_PARITY_NONE; huart2.Init.Mode = UART_MODE_TX_RX; huart2.Init.HwFlowCtl = UART_HWCONTROL_NONE; huart2.Init.OverSampling = UART_OVERSAMPLING_16; huart2.Init.OneBitSampling = UART_ONE_BIT_SAMPLE_DISABLE; huart2.AdvancedInit.AdvFeatureInit = UART_ADVFEATURE_NO_INIT;Just cannot get output without the stlink connected.Tried orders of plugging in, restarting, booting desktop, etc. does not work.

Hey guys.There is a library named cmsis_dsp for these mcus but when i took a look inside them there were just simple codes and not hardware implementation of dsp.But in datasheet it says:The STM32F405xx and STM32F407xx family is based on the high-performance Arm® Cortex®-M4 32-bit RISC core operating at a frequency of up to 168 MHz. The Cortex-M4 core features a Floating point unit (FPU) single precision which supports all Arm singleprecision data-processing instructions and data types. It also implements a full set of DSP instructions and a memory protection unit (MPU) which enhances application security.  Im confused. Does it have the hardware or not?

Hi all,I have a STM32F765, which i want to use to generate 4 D-shot signals on 4 GPIO, in the specific 4 gpio connected to Timer 1 .The timer is set as 4 channel pwm with DMA (memory to perpheral).The issue is that i'm able to generate the desired signal only for 2 channels (CH1-CH4).The CH2 and CH3 do not produce any output.I'm quite sure the issue depends on the DMA.Without DMA i can generate a PWM / Pulse on all the channels.In addition if the each timer's channel has its dedicated dma, then all works fine.Note that in the main loop a generic buffer of 5 entries is streamed on the dma (a Dshot has a dimension of 26)So the issue is related to DMA2 stream 6 / Channel 0, where 3 timer channels are processed together: Solution:Each timer channel needs a dedicated dma streamint main(void) {   HAL_Init();   SystemClock_Config();   MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_DMA_Init(); MX_TIM1_Init();   uint32_t esc_dshot_buffer[5] = {25, 50, 0, 25, 0};   uint8_t toggle = 0; &

I am using STM32CubeIDE with a STM32F103 and have UART1 setup in interrupt mode. Is there a working code example anywhere that tells how to implement UART interrupt mode? I have been unable to find via g~~gle. I have worked with multiple other processors other than STM32 and have never had a problem with UARTs. Apparently with all the posts online asking for help anything other than polling is a problem with the STM32 line.Basically I am trying to do something really simple. I have a GPS unit that I have programmed to send the single $GPRMC message. All I want to do is read the incoming message 1 character at a time and copy it to a buffer until the '\n' character is received. I will read the character in the interrupt routine and copy it to the buffer. I will check the character in the interrupt routine for a '\n'. When that character is received I will set a flag that will be picked up in my main while loop and the string data will be processed. I have approximately 800 msecs to proc

Hello everyone, I have a problem with include string methods into cpp header file. I created .cpp files like in this example: https://dev.to/younup/cmake-on-stm32-episode-5-get-ready-for-c-1mh9Also, I generated the project with c++ checkbox.When I #include <string> in app.cpp file I can create a string, but I want to include the library in app.hpp file I get an error. Therefore I can't declare the prototypes of functions in the header file. I'm using Nucleo-L152re board. Codes and errors below.I will be grateful for any help ;) //app.hpp #pragma once #ifndef _APP_H_ #define _APP_H_   #include "stm32l1xx_hal.h" #include "main.h"   //#include <string> // <- Error 1   #ifdef __cplusplus extern "C" { #endif //#include <string> // <- Error 2     void setup(); void loop();   //void testString(std::string text = "abc");   //std::string alp = "";   #ifdef __cplusplus } #endif   #endif//app.cpp #include "app.hpp"   /

Recently I swithc project to STM32L4P5CET as main mcu. I can't see any option to use sdmmc in dma mode (In stm32cubeide/mx). Is ST planning to add support later, or it's impossible?
