Hello,I am using the STM32L412, when I activate the HSI clock in the .ioc, HSI Calibration Value is set to 16 (0x10).Looking at stm32l4xx_hal_rcc.h:#if defined(RCC_ICSCR_HSITRIM_6)   #define RCC_HSICALIBRATION_DEFAULT 0x40U /*!< Default HSI calibration trimming value 64 on devices other than STM32L43x/STM32L44x/STM32L47x/STM32L48x */   #else   #define RCC_HSICALIBRATION_DEFAULT 0x10U /*!< Default HSI calibration trimming value 16 on STM32L43x/STM32L44x/STM32L47x/STM32L48x devices */   #endif /* RCC_ICSCR_HSITRIM_6 */So, with STM32L412, the default value set by the device configuration tool should be 60 (0x40).With default value USART was failing, once changed everything was working good for me.

Hello, Eleon. My app tells be that v3.47 firmware for the sensor.box is available. The Android app tries to download and install but I never could get that to work properly. Can you post the new v3.47 firmware please. Thanks,Tony

i'm trying to communicate with a Wifi module (esp8266) using STM32F103, on keil IDE. As described in the schematic : i want making my stm32 send AT command to esp8266 through usart1 (Tx1), and getting the esp response (Rx1), then display the esp response on computer serial monitor using usart2 ( Tx2).After configuring usart1 and usart2, and writing the functions to send an receive data, i'm getting only the ECHO of the command, rather than the response which should be "OK" . when i'm sending "AT\r\n", i'm receiving only AT on serial monitor. i will share the code i have wrote, and the traces on logic analyzer. if there is any suggestion i will be thankful. int len=0; char buff[256];   int main(void){ __disable_irq(); systick_init(); UART1_Init(); UART2_Init();   Delayms(100); printMsg1("AT\r\n"); Delayms(100); NVIC_EnableIRQ(USART1_IRQn); __enable_irq(); while(1){}   }     void USART1_IRQHandler(){   if (USART1->SR & USA

Rev. 5 of RM0455 says "Reset value: 0x0000 4000" for PWR_SRDCR.However, the description "Bits 15:14 VOS[1:0]: 00: scale 3 (default)" contradicts this. And on actual hardware reset value is indeed 0x00002000.

Hi ST Community, We have been trying to test and adapt the LSM6DSO evaluation board (STEVAL-MKI196V1) for a project but have run into difficulties communicating with it using SPI. It functions and behaves as expected when placed onto a Profi-Mems board (STEVAL-MKI109V3) and configured within the Unico GUI. We connected it successfully to a Nucleo-L031K6 board and were able to read and write to all registers using I2C. When we decided to communicate instead with SPI, we ran into difficulties. We have limited communication with the LSM6DSO: we are able to successfully read the WHO_AM_I (0Fh) register with a value of 0x6C as expected and write to the FUNC_CFG_ACCESS (01h) register to enable and disable access to embedded function registers. However, we are unable to correctly communicate with the CTRL1_XL (10h) and CTRL2_G (11h) registers to set the accelerometer and gyroscope. We are able to read and write values less than 0x0E to each of the registers but anything greater than this does

I am trying to implement a feature to log real time measurement data which comes in to MCU via UART peripheral and them write it into file system to USB stick.Assume I already have a dedicated task call ReceiverTask which is responsible to receive the measurement data. Then another task called USBTask which is responsible to handle file write/read operation. I want this stream of data from UART written into a file for given period of time and stored in USB.The only idea that I have is for ReceiverTask to notify USBTask of the request via a queue, and also pass the data buffer once it is full. The USBTask then open and write the buffer to file. Then clear the buffer again and redo the process till the time period expired and finally USBTask close the file. But I am not sure, I believe there should be better approach than this.Is it possible actually for USBTask once notified of logging request just take the stream data directly from UART peripheral? Without relying on ReceiverTask to ac

I would like to implement a screen saver for an app with multiple TouchGFX screens. AnimatedImage widget is perfect for screen saver function I reckon. My question how it can be used across the whole TouchGFX screens. The simplest solution might be that every screen shares the same AnimagedImage widget thru a custom container. In this case, I'm worrying that the size of TouchGFX resource might increase dramatically(But I think the TouchGFX designer will do its job smart, so it would not increase the resource size for the external flash no more than necessary.).There is an answer to the same question as mine already, where a screen ID was recommended by Martin.https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X0000AaYMwM/how-to-implement-switchscreen-in-touchgfxI think it's a good idea. One problem is that I have to define screen ID for every screen manually. It seems that TouchGFX don't support the screen ID or something like that. So I have to add a new ID for a new screen to be added. Or I have

I am using STM32H747I-DISCO discovery kit. I want to use I2C4 in the kit but clock is not generated in scl. I am using pin D15 as SCL and pin D14 as SDA of CN5 connector of discovery board. According to the user manual of discovery board D15 is connected to PD12 of MCU and D14 is connected to PD13 of MCU. I configure the GPIO(PD12 and PD13) in output selecting AF6 as alternate function number. I have tried both GPIO_PULLDOWN and GPIO_PULLP in  GPIO_InitStruct.Pull  but it does not work. Code is below: GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct; __HAL_RCC_GPIOD_CLK_ENABLE(); /*Configuring pin PD12: It is configured as AF6 alternate function for I2C4_SCL*/  GPIO_InitStruct.Pin    = GPIO_PIN_12;  GPIO_InitStruct.Pull   = GPIO_PULLDOWN;  GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_AF_OD;  GPIO_InitStruct.Speed   = GPIO_SPEED_HIGH;;  GPIO_InitStruct.Alternate = GPIO_AF6_I2C4;  HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOD, &GPIO_InitStruct); /*

I would like to know the APIs to configure the ethernet port of the stm32f767zi card.

Hi,I'm trying to connect USB-User to my PC, but, in device manager ST-Link USB is found ( connected ) correctly but the USB-User is showing that it is an unknown device

Hello,I'm currently working with the VL53L1X distance sensor on the nRF52. I'd like to use two of them with te same i2c busses. Therefore, I need to change the address of one of these.I have successfully used a single sensor (using the default address 0x29). Now I want to change the address of this sensor (still using a single sensor), but when I try to read the distance, I get error -13.The I2C address is correctly changed, because i do get this new address when I read the I2C address buffer (0x0001). Also, my logic analyser confirms that the new i2c address is used, but the read/write command is not acknowledged (so no distance is read of cource).I looked to the api and logic analyser results in more detail, and I added the following line in the function VL53L1_init_and_start_range() (from vl53l1_api_core.c):if (i2c_index == 0x001 && buffer[0] == 0x29 && Dev->I2cDevAddr != 0x29) { buffer[0] = Dev->I2cDevAddr; }(This line changes default i2c address (0x29) to the

Hi,I want to ask if the sequence of color changed when touchgfx generate the .png image source code. The r255g000b000_480_640.png image is red in RGB888(0xff0000),when touchgfx generate the image_r255g000b000_480_640 source code in RGB888 is 0x0000ff.If i miss something in image settings? Thanks for your attention. r255g000b000_480_640.png iamge in touchgfx.  image_r255g000b000_480_640 source code in mdk.

In STM32F437 data sheet it says VDDA - VREF+ < 1.2 V.Is that a "global" limitation or just a working limitation? If VDDA is 3.3V and VREF+ is 0V, can that harm the chip, or is it just that the conversions don't work right?

Our project firmware is build using cmake. Cmake is used to create Eclipse project like thiscmake ..\Firmware -G"Eclipse CDT4 - Ninja" -DCMAKE_ECLIPSE_VERSION=4.16I can import project to CubeIde without proplems and buid it there. Proplem is that CubeIde debugger configuration does seems to accept project as valid project for debuged in stm32.I have also created bootloader using CubeIde and that I can use for debugging and I have attached Firmware elf to be loaded when BL is debugged. This is workaround to make possible to use CubeIde debugging our firmware.I attach photo Eclipse error message when configuring debuggerHow I should modify our Firmware project so that CubeIde can use it directly to debugging?

Posted on March 19, 2017 at 21:42I have the STM32F407 Discovery board running with LWIP. I am able to ping the board and get replies.I now want to get a Web Server running on the board. I used CubeMX and Enabled LWIP_HTTPD on the HTTPD configuration tab. I generated the code and imported it into System Workbench.I created a simple web page with two html files. I then used makefsdata.exe to create the fsdata.c file and added it to the project. When I compile the project, I get these errors:Middlewares/Third_Party/LwIP/src/apps/httpd/fsdata.o:(.rodata+0x0): multiple definition of `file__related_html'Middlewares/Third_Party/LwIP/src/apps/httpd/fs.o:(.rodata+0x0): first defined hereMiddlewares/Third_Party/LwIP/src/apps/httpd/fsdata.o:(.rodata+0x14): multiple definition of `file__programming_html'Middlewares/Third_Party/LwIP/src/apps/httpd/fs.o:C:\STMNew\Eth-Test\Release/../Middlewares/Third_Party/LwIP/src/apps/httpd/fs.c:85: first defined hereI looked in fs.c and do not see my two html fil

Hi All,We foresee cross talk calibration for VL53L0X in our application as we are working on enclosure with filter glass on top of VL53L0X .To get understanding of cross talk calibration working, I tried "VL53L0X_PerformXTalkCalibration" with distance parameter as 100 (10 cm), 200 (20cm), 300 (30cm) and by keeping white and grey object at mentioned distance. I always found return value of function pXTalkCompensationRateMegaCps always zero. Why I am getting always zero? What I am missing during my testing?

I want the IDE to save inside a buildinfo.h various const strings containing build timestamp names and other system variables. But im unable to use them inside my pre-build script:#!/bin/sh echo "this is the pre-build script!:D"   set _current_date=${current_date} echo ${current_date} echo ${_current_date} echo "static const char BUILD_INFO[] = \"build_date=_current_date\";" > buildinfo.hThe pre-build script creates the build.infofile but the variable current_date is not shown...

Hi, I'm trying to use a scroll wheel with a custom container to select the number of seconds an output will be on. The scroll wheel is on it's own screen which is accessed from a main screen. The scroll wheel index information is used as a system initialization/setup variable and needs to be able to be retained in the model when switching screens, so when the scroll wheel screen is reopened, the scroll wheel(s) show the previously selected value. In the view I'm using the following base scroll wheel functions. //Zone 1 Purge void PurgeSetupView::scrollWheelZone1PrePurgeUpdateItem(textScrollContainer& item, int16_t itemIndex) { item.updateText(itemIndex); presenter->userSetZone1PrePurge(itemIndex); } void PurgeSetupView::scrollWheelZone1PrePurgeUpdateCenterItem(textScrollCenterContainer& item, int16_t itemIndex) { item.updateText(itemIndex); presenter->userSetZone1PrePurge(itemIndex); } void PurgeSetupView::setZone1PrePurge(int16_t itemIndex) { zone1prepurge = itemInd

Hi,I have a custom board with STM32F746 MCU and XPT2046 touch controller (Clone of TI TSC2046E). They are connected on SPI2 (no other devices on this bus), running at ~210Kbit/s.I couldn't get the touch controller to work correctly, so I've connected an oscilloscope to find that the signal itself looks pretty clean, but at the end of some bytes I can see a very long fall time (see attached pictures). Do I need to put pull-down resistors on the bus? I have never encountered this kind of problem with SPI before.Any idea for solving this will be highly appreciated,Thanks,Roy
