Hi,I'm working on a project that has to support highlighting "focused" components with a frame around them. The buttons have images, so I need the "inside" of the frame to be transparent.BoxWithBorder doesn't suit my needs, as I can't set the inside to be transparent and the border not to be (right?)Is there a recommended way to do this without creating a widget from scratch?Thank you!

I want to use an SR latch to detect the alarm pulse on the tamper pin ( STM32F103C8T6), is this possible in Vbat mode? if it is, then what amplitude is this pulse (I am asking because it might be possible that the pulse wasn't high enough for the sr latch to detect it).

Hello, MCU: STM32F105VCI am going to use TIM2 to operate in encoder mode with two input channels (combined TI1 & TI2).SYS shows a conflict with TIM2. How can I fix the conflict?Thank You.

Hello, at the moment I try to make the DSP-Lib work, I’d like to switch to 5.6.0, but the IDE doesn’t let me “erase? the package because it claims it is used. Ok, so tries to continue with it:Step1: I activated it:   Step2: I set the Symbols:__FPU_Present=1 ARM_MATH_CM4 CORE_CM4 Step3: Checking the Includes:Here it starts getting interesting, I do not know why the CubeIDE added Core_A? Is that correct. Step4: Copying all the files that are missing:Not sure why ARM includes *.c-Files, anyway, I added all the *.c and *.h filed from the package I downloaded. Step5: I include “arm_math.h? in main.c and try to compile the project:Here is the issue, I get ton’s of error-messages like this one:c:\st\stm32cubeide_1.6.1\stm32cubeide\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.9-2020-q2-update.win32_1.5.0.202011040924\tools\arm-none-eabi\bin\ld.exe: Middlewares/Third_Party/ARM_CMSIS/CMSIS/DSP/Source/CommonTables/arm_common_tables.o:(.rodata.twiddleCoef_409

Which STM board has both input and output, digital and analog pins? Thanks in advance.

I want to use the STM32CubeMX code generation tool to generate the USB HID device class driver code, I found that in the USB DEVICE drop-down list box options, there are two HID device class options to choose from, are Custom Human Interface Device Class and Human Interface Device Class, I checked the USB official web list of USB device classes, found that only the Human Interface Device Class, a standard HID class devices. So, what type of HID device is the Custom Human Interface Device Class in the tool? Is it a user-defined HID class device and what are the similarities and differences between it and a standard HID class device? Is there any information available on this?

Hi,I am a student who has recently started working with STM8s MCU's. Currently I am working with an STM8s207K8 Nucleo 32 development board, I am using STVD along with a cosmic toolchain to program my dev board. I am able to program the microcontroller successfully using the standard peripheral library, however when I am trying to create a custom driver the compiler throws an error stating that it can not open the specific header file, this happens when I try to add the inc and src files to the the already existing SPL files, and when I create a new folder of custom drivers and create two sub folders for inc and src files the compiler throws around 15 errors, I am attaching screenshots of the error here and also pasting the header and source files of the custom UART driver that I am trying to create. Below is the header file for the UART driver/********************///uart_driver.h#ifndef UART_H#define UART_H/* Initialization */void uart_init(uint32_t baud_rate);/* Send Character */void

How can I add a custom board, by a different manufacturer, to use in STM32CubeMXAny help appreciated

On the STM32G431x6/x8/xB UFQFPN48 I've been assuming that BOOT0 pin PB8 was a weak pull-up during reset, but in trying to track this I think it has no pull-ups/ pull-downs. Is this the case?

Does anyone know how you're supposed to get a clock speed of 480Mhz when the lowest PLLP1 divider is 2, and the max "wide" VCO freq (Input source / DIVM1 * DIVN1) is 836Mhz? Ie This seems to cap the max speed at 418Mhz. Of note, Cube doesn't complain about this setting, but my own validation code does, since the RM talks about this limit multiple timesThis implies I'm misinterpreting the "F_VCO" from the RM, but it seems pretty explicit:1: The software has to set correctly these bits to insure that the VCO output frequency is between its valid frequency range, which is:– 192 to 836 MHz if PLL1VCOSEL = ‘0’...2: VCO output frequency = Fref1_ck x DIVN1,Ref_Ck appears to be the "PLL input frequency" of everything before PLLN. Ie the Input source, any scalers, and PLLM. How do you reconcile these? Thank you.Summarized: It appears illegal to set PLL INPUT / DIVM * DIVN to be 960Mhz, which is required to get a sysclock of 480Mhz, because of the /2 PLLP minimum division.

Hi, I have STM32F407VET6 with a bootloader which reads microSD card, checks for user application update, flashes if it exist and jumps to use application 0x08004000.All was working fine when my user application was <48kb. I wrote some additional code (which should not impact the start of the application), and now id does not work.Previously debbugging started at "HAL_Init()" like it should when user application was <48kb But now, when user application is >50kb it starts debugging at some kind of wrong address: It does not hit "HAL_Init()" anymore like it should. Why user application size could impact that? Or it could be some kind of different issue? How could I fix this?

Using CubeMX v6.3.0. Doing a fresh in Software Packages Manager shows v2.0.0 of the Azure RTOS for H7 parts yet when I try and install it I get an error saying the pack is not available. Has it been withdrawn or is CubeMX jumping the gun on its release?I have v1.1.0 already, not that I expect that really makes a difference. Anyone know what's going on please?

I ask because I need to test the analogue part of a (custom) board which is powered from 12V, but also generates a 3.3V rail from that. I'd prefer to leave the ST-LINK connected if at all possible.

Hello,I'm having trouble getting the interrupt for the RNG on the STM32F207 to trigger. Below is a code snippet of what I'm doing;.void generate_rnd_num(uint32_t *rnd_num) { RNG_HandleTypeDef rng_handler; rng_handler.Instance = RNG // Point to RNG Peripheral base addr (RNG_BASE = (AHB2PERIPH_BASE + 0x60800))   __RNG_CLK_ENABLE(); // Enable RNG Clock: (RCC->AHB2ENR |= (RCC_AHB2ENR_RNGEN)) __HAL_RNG_ENABLE(&rng_handler) // Enale RNG Peripheral: ((__HANDLE__)->Instance->CR |= RNG_CR_RNGEN)   __HAL_RNG_ENABLE_IT(&rng_handler) // Enable RNG Interrupts: ((__HANDLE__)->Instance->CR |= RNG_CR_IE)   ... // Waiting for a sempahore to be released ... }   /* --------------------------- STM HAL --------------------------- */ void HAL_RNG_IRQHandler(RNG_HandleTypeDef *hrng) {   ...   /* Check RNG data ready flag */ if(__HAL_RNG_GET_FLAG(hrng, RNG_FLAG_DRDY) != RESET) { /* Data Ready callback */ HAL_RNG_ReadyCallback(hrng); /* Chang

We are in the process of upgrading one of our MCUs from the STM32F072RBT6 to the STM32F303RBT6 and we are experiencing problems with the F303. I am testing out all the firmware using a NUCLEO-F303RE (the 512kB version of the MCU). To further test this issue, I have also made a very simple application that simply blinks the NUCLEO LED once per second. If I pull the BOOT0 pin low, I can communicate with the bootloader over USART1. So I am able to flash the MCU binary with the bootloader and then pull BOOT0 high, reset the MCU, and then the LED blink program runs without any issue. What I am not able to do is issue the Go command to the bootloader and start the user application from the bootloader. With this, I see the LED flash very quickly once (not the duration it should) and then the MCU is back in the bootloader. I can then endlessly issue the Go command, without physically resetting the MCU (NRST), and see this very short single flash. If I change the firmware to not blink the LED,

I am designing a custom PCB using STM32F722RET6. How to connect the VREF+ pin(13) on the SMT32F722RET6?.As per the hardware development manual, it says"The VREF+ pin can be connected to the VDDA external power supply"and then, "VDDA=VDD and VSSA=VSS."can I connect it to 3.3V external supply?

When I start the debugger of my program (c++), a function gets called even beforethe debugger halts at first default breakpoint (usually at HAL_Init).The name of this function is getElapsed (returns double, no parameters) and its apublic member function of my custom class named Clock. The funny thing is that ifI rename the function (for example getElapsedEx) then it does not get called anymore.Additional information:- It exists a global object of Clock but there are no member calls in global scope.- I think this strange call just happens when using the debugger.- I identified the strange function call by placing a breakpoint at the beginning of thefunction body before I start the debugger. - Microcontroller: STM32H743VITHow is it possible that a function gets called even before the first default breakpoint? And why does it change the behavior if I change the name of the function? Linker problem?

Hi ST community,I'm working with NUCLEO L432KC and in my application I need to use I2C1 port. Using STM32CubeMX to generate the project, I could see that when I enable the I2C1 port, Automatically the CubeMX allocate the PA9 and P10 pins. For my application this is a good choice. Then, for the aim of my application, I would like to use the PB6 and PB7 pins like GPIO Output pins. But I could see that when I choice this two pins, my application does not work, while if I use other pins like GPIO Output pins the application works correctly. For this reason, I would like to know if this problem is related to the fact that the I2C1 port can be available also through the PB6 and PB7, or if the problem is caused by other reason. From the UM1956 Rev 5 I note these two advise:SB16:ON -> STM32 PB6 is connected to CN4 pin 7 for I2C SDA support on Arduino Nano A5. In such case STM32 PB6 does not support Arduino Nano D5 and PA6 must be configured as input floating.SB18:ON -> STM32 PB7 is connec

The cubemx cannot configure the ADC synchronous clock mode when the system clock is 400MHz,But use 200MHz or 480MHz is OK, why? my cubemx Version is 6.3.0this is my ioc file

Hi I have list of unused pins need to configure as a GPIO, and some as a AF's, do we have any driver which shall facilated unused pins by default set pins state., we have in imx6 IOMUX which does that job in kernel., in mp1 i didnt find that.

What is the production process (nm) of the STM32WL MCU's ? We are looking at designing a system that will have to operate in a possible radiation encvironment and the nm size of the process will have a bearing on this.

I am wondering wether this device offers a self-test feature similar to its low-g cousin, the LIS331. I noticed that there is an app note attached on the product page of the H3LIS331DL that specifically describes the self-test feature in ST’s MEMS sensors, but nothing in its datasheet refers to a self-test feature. Thanks in advance!

On the STEVAL-STWINKT1B board, and using the HSDatalog firmware, it uses about 60mA in idle state. I have disconnected the sensors, and the uC, and turned off the SD card power lines, but it's still at around 2mA. Does anyone know where this power is going? Ideally, I want to create an application for the board when it wakes up for 1 minute in every hour, logs the data to the SD card, and then goes into a nearly dormant low power state to preserve the battery.

Hello, I want to use a STM32L4P5 for reading and writing data to 2 SD Cards. In the STM32CubeL4 repo, I find in the FATFS/src/drivers folder the files sd_diskio_dma_template_bspv1.c and sd_diskio_dma_template_bspv2.cEach file calls a different BSP versions. Why are there two versions of this file? When I use the BSP generated by the STMCubeIDE, the generated functions seem to be compatible to the bspv1 version. In the example applications in the STMCubeL4 package, I also haven't found any project that uses the bspv2.Is there any way to get the corresponding BSP driver, that is compatible with the sd_diskio_dma_template_bspv2.c?
