Hi!I am making a custom external loader for my custom STM32F469 board equipped with a W25Q128 flash mermory on QuadSPI.To do so I am using vscode and a CMake project generated via CubeMX.I am able to generate and run programs on my STM32F469 (embedded flash), I can write, read and reset the external flash even using the memory mapped mode (verified through the debugger). Now I want to build an external loader based on this project. I copied the files from the STM external loader Github (contrib branch), updated them to match the W25Q128 configuration, and added an executable to my CMakeLists file to compile (and most importantly link) the external loader. My first problem is that the linker complains that there is no "main" function. I searched around for what could be the entry point of en external loader but I can't find anything. So I created a new main function (different from my application) with only an infinite loop (for the record I also made a return 0 main function which l

I am using a STM32H747I DISCO board as the target to evaluate the Audio Weaver Designer from DSP Concepts. In order to connect with Audio Weaver, the STM32747I DISCO board needs to be programmed with the Audio Weaver BSP for this board.I need to program my board to connect up with Audio Weaver. I need to get either the binary or the BSP source (or ideally both). I cannot find this anywhere online and could not find it on DSP Concepts website anywhere. From what I can tell each target partner maintains the BSP, so does ST have this?

Due to the high cost of RAM. I wonder if ST have plans or other information about which 4GB RAM vendors fits MP25x products?I know that ST have information about other RAM vendors on their wiki. Only one 4GB vendor is mention there.I bought the 4GB RAM MT53E1G32D2FW-046 WT:C (single rank) from here when it cost 20 USD.https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005009146059053.html but its seems to only having the DDR density to 8bits (2 GB). Perhaps it was only a 2GB or MT53E1G32D2FW-046 WT:B (dual rank)I'm still looking for other RAM vendors that can offer 4GB solutions for the MP25x. Question:Can ST write a criteria what a RAM memory need to have to fit MP25x? Do the RAM need to follow a specific RAM standard? What do I need to know to know if the RAM memory fits the MP25x?

Hi all,While implementation of CanTp, I am getting some errors regarding undefined reference which are shown in the snippet attached. I debugged completely but I am unable to find from where and for what these errors are coming. It would be more helpful if I get some support regarding this issue. Updating MediaThanks,Shiva Shankar.

I am developing in C++ using STM32CubeIDE on an STM32L476.I’m trying to use Cppcheck to verify the quality of my code, but the analysis fails with errors and I can’t get it to run successfully.I have specified all the defines and include directories that are set in CubeIDE.When the CPU is specified, certain internally determined macros and include directories are required, and it appears the errors are occurring because those are missing.I am using the following options.CPU "Cortex-M4(0)"Core "0"Floating-point unit "FPv4-SP-D16"Floating-point ABI "Hardware implementation (mfloat-abi=hard)"Instruction set "Thumb2"Runtime library "Reduced C, reduced C++ (--specs=nano.specs)"Enable "Use float with printf from newlib-nano (-u _printf_float")Toolchain is ""GNU Tools for STM32(13.3rel1)I am using CubeIDE on Windows. The installation directory is left at its default (C:\ST). Which definitions and include directories should I add?

Hi everyone,I am encountering an issue while trying to flash OpenSTDroid onto my STM32MP257F-DK board.I downloaded the Starter Package from the official website and used STM32CubeProgrammer for the installation. However, the flashing process consistently fails during the final stages.Could anyone provide the correct flashing procedure or suggest what might be causing this error? I've been trying to get the Virtual_COM_Port app running on the combination of X-NUCLEO-LIV4A1A and NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q board and the best I can get is where the app will successfully output the first second's group of NMEA messages to the PC running a terminal emulator program and then it stops.  After it stops, the actual LIV4 module on daughtercard cotinues to run as you can see the RED LED blink pattern change. This happens in all three cases where I:Try running the pre-compiled build of Virtual_COM_PORT .bin file for the U575XI baord under the repository folder.Build the example project under STM32CubeMX, code generate it for STM32CubeIDE, build it and load it to the U575ZI board and run it (either in run or debug mode).NOTE: In this case, I do get one compile warning where I complains about a missing .c file in the Src folder (worked around this by finding it in a different folder, copying and build).Follow the steps in the GNSS1 FW getting started guide and manually setup the pr

Dear altruist, I need urgent help. Can I apply hardware-based external triggering in the VL53L8CX sensor by STM32 Nucleo F401RE? Will the sensor work for external triggering? Thank you

I am trying to build a project using STM32CUBEMX 6.16.0 and 6.16.1 but the ioc file doesn't export the full supporting header file for the touchgfx.

Hi all,I was following this guide for CM55 validation, yet when I run stedgeai generate -m <model-file> --target stm32n6 --binary --address 0x71000000 --memory-pool ./mypool_N6.jsonIt does compile, but at the end, I have several files missing, such as network_config.h, network_data*, and network_data_params*. This is the output I am getting.I'd be glad if anyone has any idea how to fix it. Thanks :))

HelloI'am new to STM32 and i want to create project that interface with user using uart with serial monitori  configured usart and used hal_uart tarsnmit function but it didnt work when the tutorial im following worked for himwhat can be the issue?

Hello ST Community, I am using HCF40106YM013TR in one of my products. One channel is configured with an RC timing network at the input, and its output is cascaded to another channel. However, the output is chattering / oscillating near the positive trigger threshold voltage. The RC values and operating conditions are as follows: R = 500 KΩ C = 4.7 µF VCC = 14 V  GND is connected through a series diode for reverse polarity protection The Schematic and output waveform also attached herewith FYR, Wave form 1 : VCC (DSO channel 1) vs Capacitor charging (DSO channel 2). Wave form 2 : Capacitor charging (DSO channel 1) vs HCF 10406 output (DSO channel 2)   Kindly suggest how to obtain a stable and smooth output and whether any changes in RC values, grounding, or protection scheme are required.   Thank you for your support.

I'm creating a CANopen protocol, but I'm having a problem with the code. I used two while loops, and as far as I understand, this is preventing me from seeing the data I'm getting from the sensor in the 'live expression' section. Hi, I have a problem with activating USART bootloader. I use USART1. Please for details about how to going in bootloader mode. Pattern 12 in  AN2606 is super complicated for me. I use now boot pin. I put it to GND and power ON . By me MCU going in bootloader mode, software put it with J-link is not started, but STM programmer show : Activating device: KO.Please, verify the boot mode configuration and check serial port configuration. Reset your device then try again.. Please for details how to put in USART1 boot mode.

Hello ST Community,I read in the follow post question about boot sequences for STM32:STM32H7 dual core: How to start with a busy-waitin... - STMicroelectronics CommunitySo, in the post above, I see that is explain the first three Boot order of the Table 8 of the RM0399 (I put this table below), but not the last modality: Both Cortex®-M7 and Cortex®-M4 are booting. My question is: is possible to have a explanation similar to the one in the post above, but refer to Both Cortex®-M7 and Cortex®-M4 are booting? Thanks in advance,Dino

I am using ADC + DMA + USART1 + Timer in STM32 IDE in a setup consisting of:Motor → Sensors → MCU (STM32N6) → PCI am capturing the signal received at the serial port using NanoEdge AI. I have shared screenshots of:The actual current waveform observed on the oscilloscopeThe data received through the STM32N6 MCUMy doubt is:Is there anything inside the MCU or ADC that could suppress or distort the natural sinusoidal shape of the current waveform?Note:I have converted ADC values to actual current values using a 3.3V reference.I have removed the sensor bias.I have properly accounted for sensor gain.I would like to confirm whether the MCU/ADC processing could be affecting the waveform shapeEdited to place the images in the post:

OTP portion of FLASH is a valuable asset in some STM32 families and represents a convenient place to store things like security keys. For this, it is desirable - and, as it's part of FLASH, also quite logically expected - that setting read-out protection to any level above 1 prevents the debugger from reading it.In RM0444 Rev.5 and RM0454 Rev.5 (the current 'G0 manuals), the following text indicates that this should be the case:The following table appears to indicate the same behaviour:However, user @DAlbe.3 reported, that he was able to read out OTP using debugger, while RDP was set to Level1.This, together with the fact, that the above table has changed across RM revisions, rises questions about the OTP's security. Can ST please comment? Thanks,JW

I am using STM32H563 and using seven pins to read data, all through ADC1 with GPDMA1 Channel0 -2 Words internal FIFO. I connected all seven pins to ground, expecting to get all zeros or values close to zero, but the readings seem to fluctuate randomly.Although the ADC values do increase when connected to Vcc (>3000) and decrease when connected to ground (<2000), how can I ensure that the readings are correct? Are there any settings that I should adjust?uint16_t adcbuf[7] = {0}; HAL_ADCEx_Calibration_Start(&hadc1, ADC_SINGLE_ENDED); HAL_ADC_Start_DMA(&hadc1, (uint32_t *)adcbuf, 7); while(1) { printf("ADCBUF: "); for (int i = 0; i < 7; i++) { printf("%d, ", adcbuf[i]); } printf("\r\n"); HAL_Delay(1000); } Below is the ADC1 configuration from my .ioc file. (All ranks are configured identically, except for the channel.) Below is the GPDMA1 configuration. (Use Standard Request Mode)

HiI recently started using STM32CubeMX on MacOS and noticed that navigating through the (sub)-folder is kind of buggy or I am doing something utterly wrong.I want to create a project inside my documents folder. But everything that is inside my documents folder is not shown in the STM32CubeMX GUI when selecting a project folder. See attached picture. Can you please attempt to recreate this? I use a MacBook Air M3 16GB/265GB, Mac Tahoe V26.2 should that matter.

Heyho, the title says it...In RM0486, 14.6.5 PLL description, page 437 / 438 I find this:Using the PLLs in fractional modePLL off ... set FRAC ... PLL onCaution: Do not update DIVN and DIVNFRAC after the PLL has been enabled. On the other hand, there are comments that some dividers can be changed on the fly.So maybe it might work? Has anybody tried? With these 4 PLLs and the great clock routing possibilities, the ability to change FRAC values on the fly with this high resolution would be a fantastic feature for synchronization, without using an external VCO.

Hello, I made a board with an STM32F103C8T6 which uses USB.My issue is that when conecting USB (self powered or with external power) I get the following error on windows:Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) A request for the USB device descriptor failed.Things I checked:- When no USB is connected, the D+ line is pulled to 3v3, but when connecting the USB it goes down to 2.8 with 0.5v being on the resistor.- Checked continuity from USB header to A11 and A12 pins (when unpowered)- Resolder pins to ensure propper contact (Except FL1, I checked that everything else is proppery soldered, but I guess continuity is a good proxy test)- Changed MCU, USB header and FL1 for new ones in case they got damaged- Firmware was tested with a bluepill and everything worked. It's been a week with this issue, if someone know what could be happening or could give me tips to help diagnose this I'd appreciate it.Here are the schematics for that part of the board: &n
