This is my first STM32 project, I have little experience with the CubeIDE or STM32. I am trying to move over from doing all of my previous projects on Arduino.I have got the DS3231 working using the STM32CubeIDE. Board = Nucleo 144 - F413ZH.I am reading the time, that I set, and I am printing it to the serial monitor using UART.I am using the following to read and when required, write to the DS3231:#define DS3231_ADDRESS 0xD0HAL_I2C_Mem_Write(&hi2c1, DS3231_ADDRESS, 0x00, 1, setArray, 7, 1000);HAL_I2C_Mem_Read(&hi2c1, DS3231_ADDRESS, 0x00, 1, getArray, 7, 1000);As you might see, I have just got two functions called set and get time that include these lines.However, I would like to understand how to use the HAL_StatusTypeDef to check if there are any errors on the I2C lines. Similar to what is implemented in DigiKeys video on youtube titled "Getting Started With STM32 and Nucleo Part 2". But I cannot understand how to implement it with the DS3231.I have tried similar implementat

I need issue software reset after 1s when power up stm32f0xx, like press hardware reset button but i need in software. plz help me implement only one time after amount 1 second when power up stm32.

Datasheet claims that with FSDEF=0 (FS signal is start frame, not channel identificaion) i can set up number of slots (NSBLOT) to any value. In my case 1. CubeMX claims that it must be equal two (which is not true). When i try to set value to 1, then CubeMX show error with info that value need to be less or equal 1... and then forces value to 2 :D ... demonstrated on printscreen.I can change number of slots to 1 in source code and SAI works well. But... you know what happen when i regenerate code ;)

Hi, I find Cube Monitor, sorry for the expresion, the worst ever software from ST and maybe the worst tool I have ever used. I still try to work with old one STM Studio, which is hundred times better but because is obsolete now it's running out of the limits. In my work, we use Inca and Vector Canape so I have a very good experience with live measurment tools. Because Cube Monitor is uselles to me, could you know or suggest any other alternative software? Sorry for my hard opinion, but this is only the true. Stm Studio is still much better and easy to use and it is not nexxesary to draw 5-6 lines and add 3-4 boxes to be able to change a single variable.

So I am trying to implement:When user insert USB Stick, the display show USB stick iconUser then able to click the icon and chose option to log the real life time data displayed by the dynamic graph.This means I need to:Send message from USB Host task to GUI task (i.e. TouchGFX_Task) to indicate the USB stick has been connected/disconnectedSend message from GUI task to USB Host task of request to log the data into USB stick.Can someone give me some pointer please how to implement this 2-way communication? A sample would be great.

Hi,After creating a project by touchgfx designer for stm32h747 it work fine with ST display.I'm using a display with no Graphic ram and it work only with video mode.my display work fine with a single buffer video mode example.(after a minor change)For touchGFX designer project with stm32h747 I did changes in stmcudeMX to adapt to video mode but my display didn't show anything.After digging in code:1)using a debugger I didn't see any call for:enableLCDControllerInterrupt()2)in main task , i didn't exit from: OSWrappers::waitForVSync();i found waitForVSync() exit by HAL_DSI_TearingEffectCallback()But tearing effect is happened for my understanding in command mode with display which include gramnot for video mode.I wonder if touchGFX initialization work with video mode for stm32h747?I found a forum which having stm32f and work with video mode, I saw a line callback but not tearing effect.should I mask tearing effect callback and add manually line callback?In general I'm trying to adapt st

Hi,I just bought STM32H735G-DK and USB is not working out of the box.I have put jumper on STLK but device is not getting detected on PC(LD6 red/green dim lit).There are no new devices in device manager when plugged in.Board is running original program just fine, power on and all.Am I missing something? Is there something I can do?Best regards

Hello all,I have worked through a number of issues with the SDMMC system and am currently stuck with not being able to reliably transfer from micro SD. I wrote test code to repeatedly read a file from the external card. In some cases HAL_SD_ErrorCallback is called with error code SDMMC_ERROR_CMD_CRC_FAIL.Here are some things I have tried:1) Slowing down the clock speed2) Redesigning the board to improve the signal integrity of the micro SD lines3) Using SDMMC2 instead of SDMMC14) Using 1-bit mode5) Upgrading to Cube 1.36) Switching the pullup mode on the pins on and offHere is a code excerpt:SD_HandleTypeDef hsd1;     void SDMgr::Init() { memset(&hsd1, 0, sizeof(hsd1));   hsd1.Instance = SDMMC1; hsd1.Init.BusWide = SDMMC_BUS_WIDE_4B; hsd1.Init.ClockEdge = SDMMC_CLOCK_EDGE_RISING; hsd1.Init.ClockPowerSave = SDMMC_CLOCK_POWER_SAVE_DISABLE; hsd1.Init.HardwareFlowControl = SDMMC_HARDWARE_FLOW_CONTROL_DISABLE;     // This assumes an incoming c

Porting a working solution from STM32L031 to STM32G0B1 I try to configure ADC in CubeMX . It is a very simple, typical setup. 3 channels converted in "one shot" mode with DMA, triggered by slow 1Hz timer.All I am getting is HAL_ADC_ErrorCallback(), state: HAL_ADC_STATE_REG_OVR, errorCode: HAL_ADC_ERROR_OVR.Almost identical setup works great on STM32L031.I am stuck and clueless. Please advise.CubeMX is the latest 6.4, firmware package STM32Cube FW_G0 V1.5.0

Hello, I want to know final binary size after build like IAR.Currently final output os CubeIDE is Elf file, so I do not know what size it is.(When I use IAR, It showed final binary size on terminal and could also generate binary file.)Is there anyone know about how to check final binary size on CubeIDE?Best Regards,Tiel

I put my L4R5ZI chip into Stop2 mode but it doesn't seem to want to wake up from the user button, unfortunately. According to the datasheet, the wakeup sources include:Reset pin, all I/OsBOR, PVD, PVMRTC, IWDGCOMPx (x=1..2)I2C3(7)LPUART1(6)LPTIM1I have setup the user button (PC13) as an external interrupt on the rising edge and have it entering low power mode using this same button. My code is shown below:static void MX_GPIO_Init(void) { /* Other GPIO setup here */   /*Configure GPIO pin : B1_Pin */ GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = B1_Pin; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_IT_RISING; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL; HAL_GPIO_Init(B1_GPIO_Port, &GPIO_InitStruct);   /* Other GPIO setup here */ }   void HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Callback(uint16_t GPIO_Pin) { if(GPIO_Pin == B1_Pin) { while(HAL_GPIO_ReadPin(B1_GPIO_Port, B1_Pin) == GPIO_PIN_SET) {   } if(lowpowermode == true) { lowpowermode = false; //ExitLowPowerMode(); } else { lowpowermode = true;

Hi I designed a custom board based on the STM32G030K8 MCU, I was able to upload my code on the device successfully and the device was working fine, I updated the code a few times and was able to successfully upload the code to the board. However I disabled the Serial wire in the .ioc file under SYS mode and configuration tab, the code uploaded successfully, but now I am unable to upload the code again on the same board, I am attaching a screenshot of the error here as well, I used the ST link to upload code in other devices and they seem to be working fine, I am not even able to upload a blank code on the board now. Can someone explain this please.Thanks

Good morning Stm32 community,I am designing a matrix keypad emulator to control a musical keyboard. I need a 16x16 keypad for the music keys and a 8x8 keypad for the control buttons. The idea is to swap the existing keypads connected to the existing processor with the keypad emulator (because I do not have access to the existing firmware and a programming environment) and do the matrix scanning and control of the keypad emulator with an additional stm32 microcontroller, which I can program myself. Now, you can build such a keypad emulator with either discrete components, such as analog switches, diodes and shift registers with will cost me around 100 Euro's for the components only or... you can use a microcontroller for that, which would be much cheaper and flexible. The following blog I found says it all I guess,https://www.eevblog.com/forum/beginners/simulate-a-matrix-keypad-with-a-microcontroller/Using a micro controller to emulate a keypad directly is a bit tricky because you n

Hi I am planning to use X-Nucleo-cca02m2 board with nucleo-f401re for audio streaming. I found the en.x-cube-memsmic1_v5.5.0 example code where the bit resolution is found to be 16 bit for USB audio streaming. But my requirment is 24 bit resolution. Will changing the bit resolution in the given source code work?

Created a new STM32 project for STM32G030K8 without modifications, when i run the debugger debugger stops working after HAL_TIM_Base_Start_IT..I have selected TIM14 as timebase source as i'm using RTOS.Why does the debugger stops in a new STM32 cube project? Any ideas?

I am willing to use STM32G030F6 but VBAT pin is missing as before i was using 32f103 and this got VBAT pin. So my question is for backup register of RTC is there is any dedicated pin in STM32G030F6?
