Hi,I "think" I have a H3LIS331DL (mounted on its back due to hardware issues with the SAMLC21 based prototype and now fixed with glue). I am aware of the obvious changes in accel directions, but just want to get the prototype running. When reading the WHO_AM_I I get the value of 0b10110010 (and not 0b00110010). I am using SPI at 5MHz, MOSI and MISO look fine with MISO going to high on the falling (9th) SCLK edge in preparation of the first bit being a 1.A test read of the CTRL_REG1 which powers up to 0b00000111 according to the data sheet gives me the value 0b00000111.Can it simply be a wrong chip? If so: which one? Anybody seeing similar problems?ThanksFrieder

Hi, I have a board with h3lis331dl and asm330 on it. And the 2 sensors are weld on the same SPI wire. The MCU uses CS signal to select the sensor it wants to read. everything is going on well with asm330. But when I select h3lis331dl, the read out ID is correct at around first 3 times. But after that, the read out h3lis331dl ID becomes 0xff. I have no idea what's wrong here. Maybe some registers were set wrong? Did someone else suffer from this problem before? thanks.lyc

Tag EPC, User memory Write using STUHFL library. Would like to know the procedure to do the Tag write using ST25RU3993-HPEV. If someone can refer any example project using STUHFL code wrapper of C#, it'll be helpful.

Hello,With BlueNRG1/2, we got the WEAK_FUNCTION(void WDG_Handler(void) {}); in system_bluenrg1.c, but with BlueNRG-LP there is no wdg handler in system_BlueNRG_LP.c, so is it possible to have it in any way ?Thanks.

I'm trying to write the option byte in my STM32G030 uC to be able to start the internal boot loader by pulling BOOT0 high (set nBOOT0_SEL = 0). The problem is I'm getting a WRPERR while writing. All other related registers are in default state. If I use HAL_FLASH_Program(..) instead, I get the same error at the same step. Any ideas?const uint64_t u64_option_byte_boot = 0x00000000DEFFE1AA;   HAL_FLASH_Unlock(); HAL_FLASH_OB_Unlock();   FLASH_WaitForLastOperation(FLASH_TIMEOUT_VALUE);   // set PG FLASH->CR |= 0x01;   *p_u32_option_bytes = (uint32_t) (u64_option_byte_boot); // <<< after this step FLASH->SR.CFGBSY is set *(p_u32_option_bytes + 1U) = (uint32_t) (u64_option_byte_boot >> 32); // <<< after this step FLASH->SR.WRPERR is set   FLASH_WaitForLastOperation(FLASH_TIMEOUT_VALUE);   SET_BIT(FLASH->CR, FLASH_CR_OPTSTRT);   HAL_FLASH_OB_Lock(); HAL_FLASH_Lock();

I created a project using the STM32F429I-DISC1 Discovery board. I have spent a couple of days figuring out how TouchGFX integrates with STM32CubeIDE. I am able to create the widgets I need for a project I am goiing to develop. Everything works fine in my test project.I started the real project today with TouchGFX and used the Discovery Board as a starting point. The new project was created in a new folder. I placed a couple of buttons on the screen as a test. I renamed the generated IOC file, opened it with STM32CubeIDE, and generated the code. When it finished generating the code a box popped up and I clicked "Open Project". I then get this strange message:Verbatim:A project 'STM32F429I-DISCIO' already exist into the workspace:This: C:\TouchGFXProjects\ButtonsLEDs\STM32CubeIDETheir: C:\TouchGFXProjects\Project2\MultiScreen\STM32CubeIDEWould you like to remove it and import the new version?I answered No and the project did not open. So I started over and answered Yes. The project opene

I am trying to record audio from a STM32G01CE-EV by using a microphone from a headphone connected through the jack connector. I am not able to get any proper data and I dont know if I am approaching the problem properly. How should I read the data of the microphone ( ADC, DMA, I2S)? Or if anyone knows is it possible to read the data through jack with an ADC? im not so sure anymore

If I want to do some communication using SPI or UART, there are options like DMA or Interrupt, both of which give me callback. That means after MCU issues or start Tx/Rx function, it is free to do something else while waiting for the Tx/Rx complete callback. Can anyone enlighten me what are the pros and cons of using DMA or interrupt? Is DMA always preferred?

I created a new project from BLE_HeartRate.ioc (v1.13.1) using STM32CubeIDE (v6.4.0). The code executes on the P-NUCLEO-WB55 as well as on my target HW.  I then added peripherals from my application: ADC1, I2C3, SAI1 etc. I was unable to communicate via i2C3 with my LED driver. Write timeouts occur. I have an older version of the application code generated using v6.3.0 that works over i2c. It appears that the peripheral clocks are not getting enabled in the code generated by v6.4.0.// v.6.3.0 Code   /** * @brief Peripherals Common Clock Configuration * @retval None */ void PeriphCommonClock_Config(void) { RCC_PeriphCLKInitTypeDef PeriphClkInitStruct = {0};   /** Initializes the peripherals clock */ PeriphClkInitStruct.PeriphClockSelection = RCC_PERIPHCLK_SMPS|RCC_PERIPHCLK_RFWAKEUP |RCC_PERIPHCLK_RTC|RCC_PERIPHCLK_USART1 |RCC_PERIPHCLK_SAI1|RCC_PERIPHCLK_I2C3 |RCC_PERIPHCLK_RNG|RCC_PERIPHCLK_ADC; PeriphClkInitStruct.PLLSAI1.PLLN = 24; PeriphClk

When I try to run the gdbserver included with cubeIDE the program reports it's missing "_Z19STLink_GetLibApiVerv", as in it cannot lookup the symbol within the binary.I encountered this error with both 1.7.0 and 1.8.0.I'm not sure if my LD_LIB_PATH is set correctly. Is anyone else getting this.It *was* working just fine. I must have installed something that mangled the environment, but have no idea where to start resolving this. There seems to be an issue with Visual Studio Code that is causing this.

How can I fix this issue ?Error: Invalid Register Name for _ipsr ( can't find ipsr)#ifndef TX_MISRA_ENABLE   register unsigned int _ipsr __asm("ipsr");   #endif

From my understanding of the documentation, my steps to lowest power (VBAT mode) on the STM32MP1-DK2 kit would be: Connect Battery to VBATSet BREN in TF-ADisable wake sources other than from PMIC and RTCenter sleep via: "echo mem > /sys/power/state"Is this correct? Am I missing any steps here? Thanks,Ben Beckwith

Is there a an option to implement  SE_<FOO> in se_crypto_bootloader.c. I tried implementing a SE_FOO but the system reset as mentioned in document ."Protected code and data are accessible through a single entry point (call gate mechanism) and it is therefore not possible to run or access any SE code or data without passing through it, otherwise a system reset is generated."I want to have flexibility for Boot loader to decrypt/encrypt blob of data and also verify signature of blob of data. Which is separate from app image .sfb

I've just finished the tutorials on MP1 and have built a few Nucleo projects. When I want to use a GPIO pin on the Nucleo board I go o the ioc file, name a pin and hit Project > Generate Code, and I'll see the pins at the bottom of my Core > main.c file, but when I do that in a new project for the MP1, I don't see anything added to the project.Further, if I search the entire directory for the name of the pin "HEATER" in my case, I don't see it anywhere else but the ioc file.```$ grep -rnw . -e 'HEATER'./test.ioc:647:PA10.GPIO_Label=HEATER```What am I doing wrong?

I have written multiple .c and .h files as libraries. Right now I have to add them to the core folder manually for each and every project I make. Is there any way that I can put these libraries in the main include folder of stm32cubeide, so I just need to #include them and not copy and paste their files into the core folder of each project? Thanks

In FLASH_OPTR, both DBANK and DB1M are r/w and have no restrictions beside that PCROPA/B needs to be disabled. For 1M device there are two(?) sensible settings DBANK=1, DB1M = 1 for 1Myte dual bank continous modeDBANK=0, DB1M = 0 for 1Myte single bank continous modeCan for a 1 M byte deviceDBANK=1, DB1M = 0 get active? Evtentually with Flash from 0x08000000 to 0x0808000 and from 0x0810000 to 0x08180000? What would DBANK=0, DB1M = 0 mean for a 1 MB device?And does a DB1M have influence on a 2 MB device?Some clarification welcome!

BackgroundHardware:STM32L4R9ZGJ6 (1 MB flash)Custom boardSoftware:STM32CubeIDE v1.6.1STM32CubeProgrammer v2.8.0Hello,I have a couple questions.Question 1: What is the difference between the user configuration option bits DB1M and DBANK?According to the STM32L4 reference manual:DB1M: "The dual-bank feature on 1 Mbyte devices is enabled by setting the DB1M option bit"DBANK:"Single-bank mode DBANK=0: read access of 128 bits" "Dual-bank mode DBANK=1: read access of 64 bits"Based on the descriptions in the reference manual and STM32CubeProgrammer, they do the same thing. Having two bits with the same functionality seems unlikely, so there must be a difference.Edit: Looks like someone asked the same question 3 years ago: https://community.st.com/s/feed/0D50X0000B09dgCSQQQuestion 2: When switching from dual-bank to single-bank, is it required to mass erase and reprogram the MCU?Thanks,Derek

In UM2022, Appendix C Motor electric constant (Ke) measurement written:"Measure the peak to the frequency ratio" (by oscilloscope). Our question: what voltage to measure EXACTLY ?:Vpeak-to-peak, Vmax, Vmid, etc ??I think it's fundamental to get the right result.See attached picture coming from a Rigol scope user manual -to see what I mean:Thanks in advance,Br,Peter

Beginning to explore timers in STM32F051 (from DiscoveryF0). I'm starting with TIM6 (basic timer) as I'm looking for nothing more than a periodic interrupt. Before I get started, I'm wrestling with where to find complete register reference for the component (I plan to interact with timers at register level, bit-by-bit, to learn in detail.)Datasheet for STM32F051 says3.14.3 Basic timer TIM6This timer is mainly used for DAC trigger generation. It can also be used as a generic 16-bit time base.(I'm not concerned about DAC trigger, just wanted a generic timer.)RM0091 Section 21,Table76 page 559 defines 8 registers as follows (offsets and names shown below)0x00 TIMx_CR10x04 TIMx_CR20x0C TIMx_DIER0x10 TIMx_SR0x14 TIMx_EGR0x24 TIMx_CNT0x28 TIMx_PSC0x2C TIMx_ARRSTM32F051x8.h (in Drivers/CMSIS/Device/ST/STM32F0xx/Include/) defines the register structure for TIM6 using a template (TIM_TypeDef) that appears to be common to many (most? all?) timers, which is why I'm asking my question:(line 591 of

Hi,I am using ST25RU3993-EVAL board to measure temperature from an RFID tag RFM3200-AFR. Before reading the data from the memory bank, It is mentioned that, we need to send a select command to activate the temperature sensor. Right now I am using the SDK provided by the ST. How can I send the select command? Thanks in advance.

We are working on RFID products, I can only find the installer about TSW-ST25RU001 from the website, can you provide me with a source code of STSW-ST25RU001 for reference? Thank you so much!
