Hello everyone.I'm trying to work with STM32CubeMonitor to implement an industrial machine Life Test JIG using 12 ST-LINK v2 probes connected to STM32 microcontrollers by SWD protocol, but I'm facing very strange and anoying issues. This post will focus only on CPU critical allocation on V1.4.0.When acq node is started (only after receive start acquisition order) the process allocate 100% of one CPU core.As shown on the picture below, I'm using at the moment and for development purposes, only two ST-LINK probes, that's why "only" two cores are at 100% allocation. This does not occurs on STM32CubeMonitor V1.3.0 According to V1.4.0 release notes the multiple probe acquisitions was improved. Windows 10 pro has the same behaviour on V1.3.0 and V1.4.0Ubuntu 20.04 Desktop has also been tested and verified. All installation recomendations defined at wiki have been meet.Question: Is this CPU allocation expected/known and it's a true improvment relative to v1.3.0?

Hi everyone.I'm trying to secure STM32CubeMonitor Editor and UI as defined to Node-RED, but is not possible secure STM32CubeMonitor.After define a user and password at settings.js (even only for STM32 CubeMonitor) the editor and UI breaks and are simply useless.  This is a critical issue nowadays, not been able to secure a webserver that can be exposed to remote access, to provide REST API's and so on...Tested STM32CubeMonitor v1.3.0In other hand, this features works perfectly on native Node-RED instances. There is a known workaround to secure STM32CubeMonitor editor and UI with user-password login?

When creating project using Board Selector, Nucleo-C031C6, the incorrect MCU pinout definition is created with two errors: I2C1 is activated and pins are assigned for it and USART1 is initialized using PB6&PB7 instead of USART2 with pins PA2&PA3,which is the default hardware config. The generated code for USART2 with DMA has incorrect initialization order (USART2 is initialized before DMA, so DMA doesn't work). It's NOT possible to change the init order using Project Manager - Advanced Settings tab. The only way to get it in order is by editing the main.c but of course re-generating the code restores the original incorrect order.

Hello,This is a mixture of a C question and a CAN communication question, as I want to find the simplest solution for what I'm trying to do. I have an 8 byte CAN message that I successfully receive and store in an array (uint8_t RXData[8]). I am sending part of this data (RxData[0 to 3]) to a display on the STM32H7B3I-EVAL evaluation board. I want to store the data in a single uint32_t variable (since RxData[0 to 3] represents a single piece of data. Specifically, a voltage). So storing it in pieces of an array makes it difficult to do arithmetic on it (scale the 0-65535 range of uint32_t to represent a voltage range of 0-60V). What is the simplest way to do this?

I used to send AT command to a module with HAL_UART_Transmit():void send_uart(char * buffer) { uint16_t buffer_size = strlen(buffer); uint8_t CRLFbuff[] = "\r\n"; HAL_UART_Transmit(&hlpuart1, CRLFbuff, 2, 0xFF); // ok HAL_UART_Transmit(&hlpuart1, (uint8_t *)buffer, buffer_size, 0xFF); // ok HAL_UART_Transmit(&hlpuart1, CRLFbuff, 2, 0xFF); // ok }and receive answer with HAL_UART_Receive_IT() byte per byte: HAL_UART_Receive_IT(&hlpuart1, &Rx_data, 1);   void HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart) { if (huart->Instance == LPUART1){ // Current UART if (Rx_indx + 1 > rx_buffer_size){ Rx_indx = 0; } if (Rx_data != 0x0A){ // If received data different from LF Rx_Buffer[Rx_indx++] = Rx_data; // Add data to Rx_Buffer } else { Rx_indx = 0; Transfer_cplt++;//transfer complete, data is ready to read } HAL_UART_Receive_IT(&hlpuart1, &Rx_data, 1); //activate UART receive interrupt every time } }And this is working we

I have this really weird problem that has something to do with the RTC Backup data registers. I was testing the bootloaders ability to fall back to previous version of the firmware by letting IWDT reboot the device. Bootloader has a counter that uses RTC backup register, which is zeroed in the main-program when it starts, and if it counts to three as an indication that the main-program never runs, bootloader falls back. There is also another RTC backup register in use to save the reboot reason flag. I commented this zeroing out in main, to let the bootloader fall back. But when i tried to run the program it now fails to the previous rtc backup read function on the second boot cycle. This can be reset by full power cycle, i mean it does the same thing every time after power cycle. If i comment out the RTC backup register read function, everything works fine. This is my firs post here, so i will be modifying this. This posting-interface is really un-intuitive for me. Lets see how this pos

Hi there,I am using TOUCHgfx_4.19.1 and STM32CUBEIDE 1.9.1 to customise my STM32F429I-DISC1 board (E01 Version). I built a very simple button press project from Touchgfx, however, press cannot be detected on this touchscreen after I debugged and loaded this code in STM32CUBEIDE. I did many attempts including loading the demo firmware back to my board to check whether problem occurred due to the board damage, but touchscreen functioned perfectly when I it through TRUESTUDIO (Original code doesnt have CUBEIDE version). I converted this demo project version from TRUESTUDIO to STM32CUBEIDE, it still can be deployed on board successfully and touchscreen worked functionally. Therefore, I concluded that my board wasnt damaged. I also suspected whether it's because of the version mismatch between two software: touchgfx and cubeide, so I tried different version combination and found:Touchgfx 4.20 works fine with cubeide.1.10.1, however, my demo code converted by TRUESTUDIO cannot be run.Touchgf

I want to power the ST25DV tag using a pin of the micro (VCC_EEPROM). In my idea, the micro should power it only when there has been a writing on the TAG's EEPROM. I would like to implement this by monitoring GPO, but I'm not sure if this functionality would work if the TAG is not powered through Vcc. Can I use the 8 pin version for my application, or should I choose a package with VDCG to implement that? In that case I will connect VDCG to the main VDD line and Vcc to VCC_EEPROM.

Hi Everybody,I've got a few problems with my USB. I have configured the USB port of my STM32L476 in communication device class (virtual port com).I can send and receive data on my terminal.What I'm doing is the following : sprintf(buf,BYTE_TO_BINARY_PATTERN,BYTE_TO_BINARY(micro_switch)); strcpy(usb_buf,"Etats des microswitchs : "); strcat(usb_buf,buf); strcat(usb_buf,"\r\n\0"); CDC_Transmit_FS(usb_buf,strlen(usb_buf));   /* Valeur du 0/10V channel 1 */ strcpy(usb_buf,"0-10V - channel 1 : "); gcvt(calcul_tension(tab_val_ana_moy[0]),4,buf); strcat(usb_buf,buf); strcat(usb_buf," Volts \r\n\0"); CDC_Transmit_FS(usb_buf,strlen(usb_buf));   /* Valeur du 0/10V channel 2 */ strcpy(usb_buf,"0-10V - channel 2 : "); gcvt(calcul_tension(tab_val_ana_moy[1]),4,buf); strcat(usb_buf,buf); strcat(usb_buf," Volts \r\n\0"); CDC_Transmit_FS(usb_buf,strlen(usb_buf));   /* Nombre d'impulsions du compteur d'énergie */ sprintf(buf,"%d",comptage_impulsion); strcpy(usb_buf,"nom

In 5.5.3 FSK modemBR = 32 x HSE32_freq / BitRate where HSE32_freq = 32 MHzFdev = Fdev[Hz] / FreqStep where FreqStep = HSE32_freq / 2^25The document then states that to ensure correct modulation the following limit applies: (Fdev + BR/2) < BWIn the Semtech document the limit is given as: (2*Fdev + BR)  < BWWhat is the correct limit?Does BW above actually refer to the values in the BW[DSB] column of Table 28 (also Semtech SX126x DS Table 6-4)?The bandwidth must be chose so that:BW[DSB] >= BR + 2 x frequency deviation + frequency errorShould the BR here be BitRate , and not the BR parameter which is referenced to the HSE32 frequency?

I'm working with the "NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q" development board and I compile using STM32CubeIDE 1.6.1. I want to use pin PC10 as a 1-wire (half duplex) UART pin and I use CubeMX to generate code with the following settings:Mode: Singe Wire (Half-Duplex)Hardware Flow Control: DisableBaud Rate: 57600 Bits/sWord Length: 8 Bits (including Parity)Parity: NoneStop Bits: 2Data Direction: Receive and TransmitOver Sampling: 16 SamplesSingle Sample: DisableClockPrescalar: 1Fifo Mode: FIFO mode disableTxfifo Threshold: 1 eight full configurationRxfifo Threshold: 1 eight full configurationAuto Baudrate: DisableTx Pin Active Level Inversion: DisableRx Pin Active Level Inversion: DisableData Inversion: DisableTX and Rx Pins Swapping: DisableOverrun: EnableDMA on RX Error: EnableMSB First: DisableWhen I try the following code, it seems the ORE-bit (Overrun error) in UART4-> ISR register is set afterwards (b.t.w, the statement works, i.e. it says Hello in Teraterm):HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart4, (const u

I need to transmit data over usb with minimum 1 Mb/s, I configured my mcu (stm32h732zg) as an audio device to get a large packet transfer.the function that transfer the data USBD_AUDIO_DataIn is empty. and USBD_CtlSendData i'm using cause the usb descriptor request failed. How can i Achieve this speed?

I've created a project using STM32H7B3I-DK eval board with all settings default, unmodified, taken from TouchGFX. UI menu is working fine with some resources stored in OSPI Flash memory. Now I wish to store some data in this OSPI memory. The procedure should be to disable Memory Mapped Mode, erase, write and enable Memory Mapped Mode again. All this I do with task switch disabled so that TouchGFX doesn't access OSPI Flash during the process. But BSP_OSPI_NOR_Erase_Block() returns error.Ccalled are MX25LM51245G_BlockErase()then HAL_OSPI_Command()then status = OSPI_WaitFlagStateUntilTimeout(hospi, HAL_OSPI_FLAG_TC, SET, tickstart, Timeout); and here timeout is reported.I've tried to erase OSPI Flash even before TouchGFX is started and it fails too. Here is my simple code called from main with just one modification:static void MX_OCTOSPI1_Init(void){ /* USER CODE BEGIN OCTOSPI1_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END OCTOSPI1_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE BEGIN OCTOSPI1_Init 1 */ /* USER CO

I'm trying to control the timing of ADC for best performance. So, I want to give exact delay based on the number of clock cycles. However, I don't know what API should I use to give delay.Right know, I turned on TIM16 and I know how to get timer like below. t = __HAL_TIM_GET_COUNTER(&htim16);I also know HAL_Delay(ms); commend but sometimes it doesn't work.Is there any method give delay to the microcontroller based on the number of clock cycle?

https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/tree/drivers/net/ethernet/stmicro/stmmacCan anyone tell is this driver for some specific ST(?) IP, or for a runaway collection of various Synopsys based IPs? Does the ethernet controller of STM32MP1 work with this driver?

HelloI'm working with spc560p and I want to enable serial receive interrupt, that whenever data received, it save the data and so on. I could send data by serial driver as sd_dll_write command and its ok. But when I want to use sd_dll_read, actually mcu stopped. It is cleared that I should use interrupt. But need some help. Thanks

Hello,I developed an application to automate the programming of the STM32B55xx, since I have a batch of more than 10000 parts. I used the documents AN5185 and UM2237 as a basis. For this product, I am using FUS version v1.2.0 and the "stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin" stack version v1.14.0.However, the programming time takes more than 60 seconds when it is necessary to update the FUS, program the stack and the application firmware. I implemented a verification to detect the FUS version so that there is no need to update if the version is already the desired one, but it still takes more than 45 seconds to program the stack and the application firmware. The application uses less than 100kB of flash, and I noticed that what takes the most time are the various core resets that FUS performs during its update and stack programming. Therefore, I believe that migrating from a ST-LINK V2 to a ST-LINK V3 would not help in this case.In production, I perform two steps. The first is to program the F

Setup- Mikroe LSM6DSL Click on Microchip PIC24F Curiosity Board, Salaea Logic I2C protocol analyzer. Yes I use a wrist strap, ESD mat, and grounded Weller soldering iron. Why didn't ST use rounding in their Accel Self-Test? Should I?

I measured the time took to run a length 127 Multiply–accumulate routine by togging a GPIO pin before and after the arm_dot_prod_q15() routine. And then I can measure pulse width by a scope. It was 7us on the STM32F413 and 6us on the STM32H7A3.

I have several eval boards and was interested changing to ST platform prior to pandemic. Now looking at getting back to it, but checking with Mouser, Digikey, etc.. and nearly all of the STM32F4... parts I would be interested in using are still out of stock with no expected delivery dates! What is the outlook ST Vs Microchip availability in the next year? What is the general consensus on new product development with ST?

Hello,I have problems with implementation of weak default function and override with real function in assembler.I have this in startup.s (usually all functions are defined like this):.weak SysTick_Handler .thumb_set SysTick_Handler,Default_Handlerand then have defined function in main.s:.global SysTick_Handler .type SysTick_Handler, %function   SysTick_Handler: push {r3, r4, r5, r6, lr} ...if I comment those two lines in startup,s, then proper SysTick_Handler gets triggered, otherwise it ends in Default_Handler. I'm obviously doing something wrong ?Thanks.

Right now, I'm focusing on increasing ADC channel.I assembled the STM32WB55VG microcontroller and 8:1 mux.The mux is contolled by three GPIO pin for [2:0] encoding to select channel. The output of mux is connected to the ADC and I can see the ADC data using DMA.If I select one channel in the mux, I can collect data exactly. However, if I operate the mux with switching channel (I gave ~1 ms of interval for each channel), the most recent channel data is filled to the previous channel (last channel data only appears in all the channel data).I know that the microcontroller has single ADC and multiple channel itself and it works very well when I use scan conversion mode. It imply that there is a very quick reset state in the ADC to restart measurement for next channel. So, I wonder how can I force to reset ADC measurement for the next channel in the coding and whether it is possible.

How can I change the interval of ble notification (in C/S frame)?

I'm using a NUCLEO-L476RG with a X-NUCLEO-GFX01M1 (MB1642-DT022CTFT-B01). With X-CUBE-DISPLAY v2.0.1, it works fine, but with v2.2.0, after reset, the display just flickers. Any ideas?
