I am trying to build an low power application on the STM32WB5M with the discovery kit. There is no PWR example for the DK board or the wb5m, so i am using the PWR_STOP2_RTC example for the wb55nucleo - wb55/wb5m are identical. With measurement on JP5 of the DK i am getting ~330μA for stop2 mode(should be more like 5 μA).When i try the Current measurement with an external power supply (7.2.4 UM2825) and 3,3V the application does not work at all, but there is no more discription for that kind of measurement. What am i doing wrong?

I have followed the video tutorial Getting-Started-X-CUBE-TOF1-sub-titles-burned from the st website on the st website and used the documentation also from the st website Getting started with X-NUCLEO-53L3A2 multi target ranging ToF sensor expansion board based on VL53L3CX for STM32 Nucleo - User manualbut I am unable to get the sensor working. I have used a oscilloscope and have found that no data is flowing on the I2C bus (on either WB board) I have also tried to initialise the other I2C ports but they are also negative. Following the previous instructions I have got the sensor working on the NUCLEO-F401RE board so I am thinking either something is wrong with the physical boards setup (the jumper connections) or the auto generated code needs modifying in some way. I use the STM32CubeIDE to auto generate the basic code that I believe should work as it does with the F401RE board but I have run out of ideas of why it is not working. I have followed the same process for the different chi

Hi,teamCurrently, I'm designing a PCB with "STM32MP151AAD3T".I'm designing our own PCB with reference to "STM32MP157x-EV1".When developing software using this EVM, the connection to PC shown in the attached figure is recommended as following URL.(https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Getting_started/STM32MP1_boards/STM32MP157x-EV1/Let%27s_start/Unpack_the_STM32MP157x-EV1_board)I have questions about the connection with two connectors as follows.Q1. About "ST-LINK/V2-1 Connector"Is it correct to consider that connecting this USB connector to a PC is equivalent to connecting via ST-LINK?For the PCB I'm designing, I want to use a JTAG connector to connect ST-LINK instead of the USB connector.Q2. About "USB OTG Connector"What can I do by connecting the USB OTG connector to a PC?Best regards,

Hello, In the x-nucleo-nfc08a1 reference design, there is the standard 3 variable cap setup (2 series, 1 parallel) plus also a second set of parallel vari-caps (C307 and the oddly named 4C30). But these are not populated on the board. Should we populate these in custom designs? In my design the antenna is a PCB trace coil about 0.75" in diameter but the trace length is about 10 inches and goes through a relay. Thanks,Derek

Hi,Please let me know the FIT value calculated as per IEC 62380 and SN 29500 standard.

MCU : STM32H7, PB0 PWM CH2NTIM1 CLK : 200MHzPrescaler : 0Counter Period : 3Pulse : 2GPIO Speed : Very HighI'm testing a 50MHz PWM output. And my test conditions are written at the top of this question. As a result, I decided that a 50MHz PWM output was impossible. This is because the square wave is distorted by the slew rate as shown in the attached picture. However, the output buffer timing characteristics of the datasheet states that frequencies up to 220 MHz are possible. So I leave a question to ask if I've missed anything.thank you

To introduce the EEPROM M93C66-WDW6TP I need the following information:Number of soldering cycles Orientation (the position of the component in the tape / tray) Packing dimensions stock(Dimensions of the reel / tray / tube) Packing type(The dimensions of the tape) Parts per container(The number of components on the reel / tray / tube) Solder profile reflow ( J-STD-020 )  we need a reflow profile Weight (Weight of the component)Thank you for your help.

Hello,Working with a custom template BLE server, I face a situation where a characteristic of 40 bytes need to be notified. However on 2 different BLE master the characteristic is always truncated at 20 bytes on notification. Reading another characteristic does not truncate!Everything seems correct on custom_stm.c and custom_app.c files. The custom server works properly. The function aci_gatt_update_char_value is properly called with good variable length.Watching live expression, the full buffer is updated and length variable is correct.Watching down to hci_send_req (in ble_gatt_hci.c file), rq.cparam as well as rq.clen, everything seems correct.Using 2 different BLE Master, there is no way to get more than 20 bytes of data notified.Result it is not possible to notify larger than 20 bytes.Do you have any clue?

Hello,I have made a custom board for the STM32G070KBT6 MCU to interface with other boards in an embedded project. I have added a mini–USB B connector to the PCB to communicate between the MCU and my computer. In the MCU, I am using one of the USART channels in asynchronous mode with hardware flow control (CTS/RTS) for this communication. I have connected the Tx, Rx, CTS, and RTS pins to the corresponding pins on an FTDI USB-UART converter chip (FT231XS-R) in the following configuration:MCU -> FTDI-------------------Tx -> RxRx -> TxCTS -> CTSRTS -> RTSThe FTDI chips connects to an ESD protection IC (USBLC6-2SC6) and then from that IC to the mini-USB connector on the board. When I plug the cable into my computer, I detect the FTDI device on one of my COM ports (COM3).After I setup the initialisation of all the peripherals on STM32CubeIDE, I wrote the following code in the while(1) loop to test the serial connection:strcpy((char*)buf, "H"); HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart2,

I was working with the test code of QSPI. I generated the code using the latest STM CUBMX ver 1.10.1. But after generation also it didn’t worked. Then I compared the code with the sample test code. There I found the below mentioned code patch in the SystemClock_Config function.  Note : The activation of the I/O Compensation Cell is recommended with communication interfaces (GPIO, SPI, FMC, QSPI ...) when operating at high frequencies(please refer to product datasheet) The I/O Compensation Cell activation procedure requires : - The activation of the CSI clock - The activation of the SYSCFG clock - Enabling the I/O Compensation Cell : setting bit[0] of register SYSCFG_CCCSR */ /*activate CSI clock mondatory for I/O Compensation Cell*/ __HAL_RCC_CSI_ENABLE() ; /* Enable SYSCFG clock mondatory for I/O Compensation Cell */ __HAL_RCC_SYSCFG_CLK_ENABLE() ; /* Enables the I/O Compensation Cell */ HAL_EnableCompensationCell(); After adding the above mentioned code the gener

Hi,teamI'm developing a PCB using the following parts now.*********************STM32MP151AAD3T(MCU)STPMIC1APQR(PMIC)MT41K256M16TW-107:P(DDR3L)*********************The VDD and VDDQ voltages of the "MT41K256M16TW-107:P(DDR3L)" are 1.35V, but the default voltage of BUCK2 is 1.1V.(It is recommended to supply power from BUCK2 to DDR)Therefore, the voltage setting of BUCK2 must be changed from 1.1V to 1.35V.Does the bootloader do this? (it cannot be set by the user program, because DDR is not launched)Best regards,

STM32 MCU has 12 bits ADC resolution, but some MCU claim "up to 16-bit with hardware oversampling". When I setup ADC in STMCubeMX, no option for "hardware oversampling", how to achieve 16-bit ADC resolution?

I have STM32CubeMonitor v1.4.0 installed on my home computer and work computer. On my home computer, there is an option called "Manage Palette" which allows me to add additional nodes from nodered online resourcesOn my work coputer, there is no such option. As far as I can tell, I have the same version of STM32CubeMonitor installed on both machines. Here are screenshots showing the main dropdown for each computer:

Hello, i just bought a STM32WL55JC2. It's working perfectly on Arduino but i want to use the LORA module and Arduino doesn't support it.I've configured my stm on CubeMX and tried a basic HAL_GPIO_WritePin but it doesn't work and i can't figure why. Arduino working code :Thank you :)

Hello ST community,I believe there is an issue with the code generated by CubeMX for the fx_stm32_sd_driver. Config used :STM32CubeIDE : 1.10.1STM32U5 Cube Package : 1.1.1STM32CubeMX : 6.6.1In CubeMX, when I set the "FX Driver Initializes the SD IP" flag to true, the generated code wont compile as the MX_SDMMC1_SD_Init is generated static in the main, so the code below in fx_stm32_sd_driver.c is irrelevant...#if (FX_STM32_SD_INIT == 1) extern void MX_SDMMC1_SD_Init(void); #endifOne solution is to remove the static keyword but every time CubeMX generates code, it comes back and it's kind of unpractical.Could you please fix that in a future package update ?Thanks,Clement

Hi,I tried to execute my custom SBSFU_UserApp.bin on the STM32H7B3I-DK board and I get error for Header signature verification failure in slot SLOT_ACTIVE_1. I have made changes in se_crypto_bootloader.c file for adding RSA signing verification in place of ECDSA. I want to debug the changes inside of se_crypto_bootloader.c file of SECoreBin project.I am using STM32Cube IDE and compiling the applications as per the order mention in the readme file of the STM32H7B3I-DK 1_Image demo project. Please let me know, what is the debug mechanism for SECoreBin application? How can I enable debug mode of SBSFU Secure Engine application? Thanks,Ikbal

Hello,I cannot find any detail about the output type of INT1 pin in the ISM330DHCX datasheet. From what I read about the registers configuration about this pin, I thought that would be a push-pull output, but if I configure an external 10K pull-up to 3.3V I see that the signal is fixed to 1.2VI already found the note about the initialization procedure that depict not to set any pull-up (so I'm removing that), but this behavior is not explained by a simply output pin.Is maybe this also a bootstrap input for internal use?For the use with the linux driver st_lsm6dsx (that has this component's compatible) should I set a pull-down or leave the control only to the ISM330DHCX?Best regards,Rosario

Hello,I cannot find more info about this register on RM or PM documents for STM32H750XB.I'm searching for register name. The register is about enabling debug features.Am I missing something or is this register described somewhere else (maybe for all M7 platforms) ?Thanks.

Hello,I am using STM32L073VZI6 in a custom board, trying to read ADC values from a potentiometer connected to PA6. The microcontroller and the potentiometer are powered with 3.3 V.The issue is that I get 4095 when the voltage input is less than 2 V. From 2 V to 3.3 V still I get 4095. Below are the configuration and the code. I have tried already many combinations without success.  Any help will be much appreciated.
