The value of register VTOR at reset is "unknown" in the STM32H753 Programming Manual.I assume this is because it depends on the boot configuration of the product (boot pin and boot adress option byte) ?Is it correct to say that in the default boot configuration the value of VTOR at reset is 0x0800 0000 ? (I don't have a board to test it in the following days)Also, when the VTOR is modified by the software, does its value go back to default for any kind of reset ? (warm reset, power on, etc...)

To avoid the best accuracy when using the ADC it is advised to re-calibrate the ADC when environment temperature changes "too much"The ADC calibration can only be done when the ADC is disabled, so to re-calibrate the ADC has to be stopped, disabled, calibrated, then enabled and started again.I'm using the ADC with DMA in circular buffer mode, using only the LL API.I can see however that stopping and then starting the ADC this way results is strange intermittent inaccuracies in the ADC values read (offsets). This happens also when i'm not re-calibrating, so its not that im reading the calibration factor or something like that. What is the advised way of stopping and then restarting the ADC when using DMA/circular mode?

Hi,I would like to read the timestamp value of the RTC. I see that only the Cortex A7 have access to it and the documentation on the wiki does not give any clue to how we can read the timestamp from the m4.On the linux side i can easily obtain it:I know i can make a small service that gets the timestamp and sends it to the M4 using the rpmsg channels, but i would like to know if there is a better way to do it?Thanks

I use the CubeMonitor 1.5 to log and analyze an int32 variable in an STM32L4 controller.I need to get a new value every 500us, so I use a custom sampling frequency of 2000 Hz. For some reason the signal is not sampled reliably in 500us intervals. It does work for some period of time. After that the logging skipps one or several samples before continuing with a 500us sample period. Sometimes 10 or more samples are skipped.I use an ST-Link with an SWD frequency of 4.6 MHz, so I don't see how the SWD bandwidth could be limitting. 4 Byte with 2 kHz sampling frequency requires only 64 kBaud. Is there anything I can do to get a more reliable and fast readout of STM32 variables?PS: That the timestamp is only stored in ms resolution is not helpful either, it would be a huge improvement if the timestamp could be stored with higher resolution (at least 100us steps). I use logging to csv in the "myVariables" processing node.

Hi,i have been using F030C6 with 1 uart and make DMA works. but when i received a modem message( like AT+CPIN? e.g.) DMA stops 2 or more times. We can see the image below that i put one toogle pin to show when DMA interrupt occurs.my question is how can i configure this IDLE minimum PERIOD?

Facts: I can program/debug very simple things so the problem is not there. It is my first attempt to work with STM32cubeIDE and i find it somewhat challenging.I have a STLinkV2 programmer/debugger that works fine. The dev kit i bought is: https://www.waveshare.com/open429i-c-standard.htmMore info here: https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/Open429I-CSchematic of the board here: https://www.waveshare.com/w/upload/8/8c/Open429I-C-Schematic.pdfThe LCD i bought is: https://www.waveshare.com/4.3inch-capacitive-touch-lcd.htmResources: https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/4.3inch_Capacitive_Touch_LCDSample code (for STM32cubeIDE): https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/File:4.3inch_Capacitive_Touch_LCD_code.7zDatasheet: https://www.waveshare.com/w/upload/5/55/SH430HI50-43050L-C.pdfManual: https://www.waveshare.com/w/upload/0/00/4.3inch_Capacitive_Touch_LCD_user_manual_en.pdfI tried to import the sample code but it imports only the ioc file. Does anyone have the same issue? Preparing for some audio related project....If I understand correctly, I2S can transmit and receive simultaneously like SPI.Is this mode used practically? Are there codecs that can simultaneously transmit via I2S (generate sound) and receive digitized data (from a mic)?Or is this typically done using two separate I2S or SAI interfaces?

We have a question about the memory map in section 3.1 of AN4839. The note states that "by default the MPU is disabled and that in this case the memory map is defined as the default address map".Immediately under this statement is a table with a memory map. Is this the default memory map ? I am reading this as a default table that can be changed but another developer is reading this as requirements on the memory regions. We have a QSPI flash mapped at 0x90000000 and I need this to be strongly ordered which according to AN4839 means that this needs to be sharable. We are getting odd behaviour due to speculative reads, hence the need for strongly ordered memory.Regards,Mark

I'm having trouble compiling a TouchGFX project in STM32CubeIDE.As I need to call a C++ function (touchgfx::OSWrappers::signalVSync()) from inside a .c file (app_azure_rtos.c) I created a C++-linker function as described in this thread. Also as described in aboves thread I'm getting an error when compiling. The Error says ../Middlewares/ST/touchgfx/framework/include/touchgfx/hal/OSWrappers.hpp:23:1: error: unknown type name 'namespace' 23 | namespace touchgfxSo it seems that the C-Compiler tries to compile a .hpp header file. How can I tell the C-Compiler to exclude a single file from being build? I can exclude a whole directory . But this makes the whole directory (all files included) unavailable for all compilers/languages. I'm on STM32CubeIDE 1.12.0

I am trying to use a Nucleo L432KC board's hardware timers with a rotary encoder. Specifically I am trying to use TIM1, pins PA8 (D9) and PA9 (D1). I was originally hoping to use PlatformIO and the gianni-carbone/STM32encoder library, but when I couldn't get that working I jumped over to STM32CubeIDE. But even in CubeIDE I still cannot get this working.I have verified my encoder is giving 3.3V pulses using a scope. My code from main.c in CubeIDE is below... Can anyone help out? The CNT register just sits at 0 all the time./* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * Copyright (c) 2023 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved. * * This software is licensed under terms that can be found in the LICENSE file * in the root directory of this software component. * If no LICE

When transmitting in endless-transaction mode with the STM32H7 SPI periph. (that is, setting TSIZE = 0), how can I know when the master has finished transmitting all data? Not only that its Tx FIFO is empty (which could be done with TXP) but also that it has physically sent all the SCK pulses and so the SCK line is low. Note: I know that setting TSIZE to something != 0 will allow me to wait for EOT to know the above, but I would like to do this in endless mode.

Hello ST Community,This is the issue I'm facing when trying to connect to my board. I'm able to use the LINUX GUI to connect to the device and program it. No issues with it. I want to do the same using a script and the CLI doesn't seem to co-operate. My goal is to connect to the board and program my elf file on it. Nothing fancy. Can you help with this?./STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port=/dev/ttyACM0   -------------------------------------------------------------------   STM32CubeProgrammer v2.7.0   -------------------------------------------------------------------       Serial Port /dev/ttyACM0 is successfully opened.   Port configuration: parity = even, baudrate = 115200, data-bit = 8,   stop-bit = 1.0, flow-control = off       Timeout error occured while waiting for acknowledgement.       Timeout error occured while waiting for acknowledgement.   Error: Activating device: KO. I currently program a STM32F303 with the app STMFlashLoader Demo, using a USB-RS232 device. I want to replace that app with CubeProgrammer, but the app is sending an error. I already checked my FW, but it is OK.So, I want to know if you can help me to fix this error without affecting the programming of the device.

Hi team, I downloaded 1.6.0 today from the website and confirmed that it fixed my previous issues with brackets in variable names. I see that you also changed the delimiter to commas, which I appreciate since it will now open in excel. What is sort of a bummer is that variables in a sequential loop sampling frequency may start at different times for some reason. It makes it difficult to align data to a timestamp. I tried to do a sampling frequency of 0.1Hz to see if that would align them better, but it failed to make a CSV at all. I'd prefer sequential loop, but each entry for rows that don't yet have data could be a #NAN or a 0, I don't really care which, but the 1.5.0 put them in as a 0. I then can sort the column by timestamps and filter to just one variable. Copy all of the Y axis values for that variable filtered and put it into a new sheet. I then change the filter to a different variable and copy the Y axis values of that variable. Then plot those two columns of data as a scatte

I have 2 memories with not the same type the first is hyperram and the second is nor flash and it is mandatory for my project to use both of them.i am not sure how to do so or if is it possible to use one on the st board and link the other one separately? on another one.

Hi! I am discovering the world of STM32 and currently using a STM32F4 to establish a UART communication (send and receive data). I wrote a pretty basic program to send and receive a message (basically a loop) with a baud rate of 9600. The users manual says that UARTs are running at up to 11.25 Mbit/s. My question is does the baud rate gets shared if I use two UARTs and if so, do they mean 11.25Mbit/s for each UART? Also, I wanted to know how to change the baud rate in STM32CubeMx as whenever I try to it gets back to 115200 (I configured the clock to 84 Mhz and oversampling by 8).

Hi,(Since i am not a native speaker i apologize in advance for any mistake i would make.)I am curently working on a project that require an acelerometer. For my tests, i am working with a NUCLEO-WB55RG and an eval board STEVAL-MKI208V1K. They are connected together through SPI1 like follows:Nucleo ---> Eval Board(SCK) PA5 [D13] ---> SCL(MISO) PA6 [D12] ---> SDA (MOSI) PA7 [D11] ---> SDO(CS) GND ---> CSWhen i check the levels i can see that the chip select is somehow at 3.3V ! Is there a register to parameter or something to do to specify that i don't want to use the chip in I2C but in SPI (and so put the CS to ground level).Thank you in advance ,Noé.

Hi,For a project I'm using Nucleo STM32L432KC and STM32CubeMX V1.17.0.I'm using the same code template for differents project and it's the first time I get this kind of errors:At some points, when writing to a GPIO of expander PCA9535DB, I have HAL_ERROR returned. This error occurs when in function HAL_I2C_Mem_Write (same error with HAL_I2C_Mem_Read) from stm32l4xx_hal_i2c.c file. /* Process Locked */ __HAL_LOCK(hi2c);   /* Init tickstart for timeout management*/ tickstart = HAL_GetTick();   if (I2C_WaitOnFlagUntilTimeout(hi2c, I2C_FLAG_BUSY, SET, I2C_TIMEOUT_BUSY, tickstart) != HAL_OK) { return HAL_ERROR; } Above the code that return the HAL_ERROR. (from file stm32l4xx_hal_i2c.c)The fact is that the timeout is raised in I2C_WaitOnFlagUntilTimeout but I have no idea why. As the code sometimes work and sometimes not, I assume that I2C address and parameters are correct. (Speed is 100KHz).If someone already has the same behavior, help is welcome.Best regards,Antoine

Can I scale image with TOUCHGFX at runtime? I need to change image width depends on text long

Using an F411, I'm having trouble getting the RTC_AF1 (PC13) pin to trigger while powered only by the VBAT pin. The pin seems to drive correctly when VDD is active (tried both Wakeup and Alarm A), but removing VDD does not have the same effect. Is there something special I'm missing?

I connect my I2C but when I connect an oscilloscope I have nothing on the clock signal. So probably I misconfigured my clock. Could you give me the information? Thanks in advance. In this picture below I've a warning, do you know how to remove this warning please ?Thank you for your helps. RegardsYann DO

Im using the Thread_Coap_Generic Example for the STM32WB5MM-DK (CUBEWB version 1.15.0). THe CPU2 Binary is as it is descibed in the readme.txt "stm32wb5x_Thread_FTD_fw.bin". I want to change the logging level of the Openthread. The Change of OPENTHREAD_CONFIG_LOG_LEVEL OT_LOG_LEVEL_WARNin openthread_api_config_ftd.h has no effect at all. If im using the function 'otLoggingSetLevel()' in runtime it does not give an error, but does not change the log level as well. It is hardcoded to Log level Info or what am i doing wrong? The AN5289 does also not really help, it describes a function 'otSetDynamicLogLevel()' that does not exist.

Hello all,While configuring the FMC SRAM configurations for STM32H747 MCU I found the option for bank swapping. As I see the reference manual I understand that the chip select configured interchanges it's address with that of the SDRAM bank addresses. And I did face an issue to read and write from the SRAM but when I enabled the bank swap option in the cube MX now my SRAM responds correctly.Kindly help me out in understanding the role of BANK SWAPPING here.Thank You!

Can the analog watchdog outputs(ADCy_AWDx_OUT) be attached to the STM32L412’s I/O pins?
