Hello,I've reported my problem with ST-Link GDB server here:https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00002BBBlsSAH/stm32cubeide-debugging-issues-of-code-placed-in-sram-stm32h7-mcubut thread evolves and it more and more look like a real bug in ST-Link GDB server.Since absolutely nobody replied, I'm curious how to report the issue as a bug to ST development team.Thanks!Karel

Hi!I have a custom board with a STM32H725. The board has an external OCTOSPI flash memory from Infineon's S26KL/S26KS-series. I can read/write data back and fourth in memory-mapped-mode and now I want to be able to program persistent data using the indirect mode.I am not sure I got the pointers right, but the prgramming sequence is given from Infineo's memory docmentation as below.After the programming, I switch to memory-mapped-mode and use the memory debugger to read data at 0x70000000, but there is no data there... My implementation of above sequence:char* Buffer = "Data to be programmed into flash"; uint32_t Size = 32; uint32_t base_addr = 0x70000000; uint32_t sector_addr = 0x00000000;   ProgramFlashWithBuffer(base_addr, sector_addr, Size, (uint8_t*)Buffer); EnableMemMapped();     void ProgramFlashWithBuffer(uint32_t base_addr, uint32_t sector_addr, uint32_t buf_size, uint8_t* buffer) { // Programming sequence for S26KL/S26KS // -------------------------------

Hello, well I have some array of uint16_t data with is contains 50 records. If I truing to write it to the flash memory it looks like it have done an then if I write again, the HEX data in debug mode memory is randombly chenging. Ideally Firstly I need read data from flash(after power off) and write to array, on another iteration if data in array != data in flash, then overwrite flash. To put it sumply this is for manage/store a data in flash. Please help me.Function for writing in memory:#define FLASH_START_ADDRESS 0x08010000   static uint32_t GetPage(uint32_t Addr) // Single Bank Device { return ((Addr - FLASH_BASE) / FLASH_PAGE_SIZE); }   // Function to write data to the flash memory // BYTE pointer, Size in BYTES, put what you want in a STRUCTURE   void write_flash(uint8_t *data, uint32_t size) { FLASH_EraseInitTypeDef EraseInitStruct = {0}; uint32_t addr = FLASH_START_ADDRESS; // 64-bit aligned uint64_t value; uint32_t PageError;   // Round up size to nea

Hi, I am using an STM32F401CCU6 for a FreeRTOS project. My problem is that a variable shows up in the Build Analyzer as 64B instead of 80B. I am using some LoRa libraries. For simplicity, I will refer only to the information I think is relevant for the problem. -- I have a type called lora_status_t defined as follows:typedef struct { uint8_t opmode; uint8_t version; uint8_t sync_word;   // pa config uint8_t pa_config; uint8_t pa_select; float max_power; float output_power_dbm;   // modem config 1 uint8_t modem_config_1; float bw; uint8_t implicit; float coding_rate;   // modem config 2 uint8_t modem_config_2; uint16_t spreading_factor; uint8_t tx_continuous_mode; uint8_t rx_payload_crc_on;   // modem config 3 uint8_t modem_config_3;       // Lora Page registers uint8_t fifoAddrPtr; uint8_t fifoTxBaseAddr; uint8_t fifoRxBaseAddr; uint8_t fifoRxCurrAddr;   uint8_t fifoRxBytesNb; uint16_t validHeaderCnt; uint16_t validPac

I wanted to do a simple test with my STM32f746 protoboard and count clock pulses. Problems are normal (I get all zeros) but in what datasheet/pdf are those registers explained or mentioned. I searched several pdfs in the net and none had those keywords.//address of the register volatile unsigned int *DWT_CYCCNT = (volatile unsigned int *)0xE0001004;   //address of the register volatile unsigned int *DWT_CONTROL = (volatile unsigned int *)0xE0001000;   //address of the register volatile unsigned int *DWT_LAR = (volatile unsigned int *)0xE0001FB0;   //address of the register volatile unsigned int *SCB_DEMCR = (volatile unsigned int *)0xE000EDFC;   *DWT_LAR = 0xC5ACCE55; // unlock (CM7) *SCB_DEMCR |= 0x01000000; *DWT_CYCCNT = 0; // reset the counter *DWT_CONTROL |= 1 ; // enable the counter x = *DWT_CYCCNT;

Hi I hove something trobels with writing data after erease. I have only option bank and page erease and nothing other. I doing a bank1 erease and after this tryuing to write something whith is complitly not writing to memeory. Only on another compilation if memory is eresed I have data writen. How to clean and then write data? Im writing a uint16_t like a doble word, also I have only duble word. This making me cry, plese help just make a data rewrite, like it should be. I not wish have additional function for erease. Many thanks.#define FLASH_START_ADDRESS 0x08010000   // Function to erase the flash memory void erase_flash() { // Unlock the flash memory for writing HAL_FLASH_Unlock();   // Initialize the erase configuration structure FLASH_EraseInitTypeDef erase_init; erase_init.TypeErase = FLASH_TYPEERASE_MASSERASE; // Mass erase the flash memory erase_init.Banks = FLASH_BANK_1; // Select the bank of the flash memory to erase   // Perform the erase operation and

STM32F103:I see in the SPI configuration only prescalers of powers of 2. How can I adjust a distinct clockrate for SPI?

Good morning everyone,I'm using NUCLEO-WL55jc1 board and STM32CubeIDE 1.10.1. The case is that before creating a new second project, the ST-LINK V3 was detected and everything worked properly. However, currenly, when I want to debug the program I get this message (even with the first project I have, LoRaWAN_End_Node example).I hope someone could help me.Thank you very much,Carlos

Dear ST hello,I have a question about the bit field,I am using the stm32F429 discovery board, and I am working on the gyroscope Mems.if I declare a union like this:typedef volatile union { uint8_t All; struct { uint8_t Yen:1; /*X axis enable*/ uint8_t Xen:1; /*Y axis enable*/ uint8_t Zen:1; /*Z axis enable*/ uint8_t PD:1; /*Power-down mode enable*/ uint8_t BW0:1; uint8_t BW1:1; /*Bandwidth selection*/ uint8_t DR0:1; uint8_t DR1:1; /*Output data rate selection*/ } RegBits;   } Tst_CTRL_REG1;How does the compile organize the bits in memory?Does the MSB is Yen or DR1?Thank you in advance,

hello ST community,I am currently working on an application and I am developping the project on my board. In my application I am using a Micron NOR memory MT25QL512A in QUADSPI mode. I have previously used other OCTOSPI memories but the first time with Micron type. I have started the configuration but I think that may be I need some help that I also want to execute the code from the micron memory, any hints please?thank you.

Hi all,I am working with the STEVAL-SPIN3201 development board for controlling a BLDC motor. This board is based in the STSPIN32F0 controller which integrates the STM32F031C6 MCU. I attach the system-in-package block diagram taken from the datasheet.I am currently in the PWM generation stage (TIM1 for the U, V, W phases), but I cannot make it work. However, when I try to use other GPIO pins in the board (e.g., TIM1_CH1N in PA7 that comes directly from the F031C6 MCU) it works (as PWM, normal I/O, etc.). I don't know if the control logic in the block diagram needs a specific type of treatment but I have no clue how to deal with it, as there is no additional information and following the F0x1 reference manual doesn't seem to help. Does anybody have any clue? It would be very helpful. Thank you in advance.P.S. I've tried to use the motor control workbench but the only available code is based on PMSM motors and it's rather confusing.

My Settings : STM32G070 mit BootLoader protocol version: 3.1STM32CubeProgrammer v2.13.0My plan : flash my file via UART(USART2) and my MCU should start automatically after programming is finished. I will reset the nBOOT0 bit in my programm, after my own evaluation.My result :I tried with "Run after programming" in CubeProgrammer and "Go 0x800000" in STM32_Programmer_CLI. In both case, downloading was successfull but MCU could not start. See attached log file : logCP_uart.logStep 1 : nBOOT0 = 0, nBOOT1 = 1, nBOOT_SEL = 1 : this combination by Stm32G070 leads to boot from System memory (Bootloader)Step 2 : I could access boot loader via uart (com16) and start programming.Step 3 : My Transmitter.elf file was downloaded (line 32) and the Verifying was also successfully (line 36).Step 4 : But the RUNNING Program from Address 0x08000000 (line 37 and 38) could not be executed. Error Message : Error: GETID command not acknowledged! (line 44)See attached log file : logCP_CLI.txtLog fi

I am having trouble figuring out this seemingly simple thing. Assuming I have the coordinates of a touch point in a touch screen, how do I draw pixel to that location?

Hallo, I'm using the Nucleo board for STM32U5, LL drivers for USART1 and DMA.in my main.c the init function are:static const charlong_string[] = """What's the problem""???????\r\n""";static void MX_USART1_UART_Init(void){ /* USER CODE BEGIN USART1_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END USART1_Init 0 */ LL_USART_InitTypeDef USART_InitStruct = {0}; LL_GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct = {0}; LL_DMA_InitTypeDef DMA_InitStruct = {0}; RCC_PeriphCLKInitTypeDef PeriphClkInit = {0}; /** Initializes the peripherals clock */ PeriphClkInit.PeriphClockSelection = RCC_PERIPHCLK_USART1; PeriphClkInit.Usart1ClockSelection = RCC_USART1CLKSOURCE_PCLK2; if (HAL_RCCEx_PeriphCLKConfig(&PeriphClkInit) != HAL_OK) {  Error_Handler(); } /* Peripheral clock enable */ LL_APB2_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_APB2_GRP1_PERIPH_USART1); LL_AHB2_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_AHB2_GRP1_PERIPH_GPIOA); /**USART1 GPIO Configuration PA9  -----

Hi, I am quite new to NFC reader, I want to know if it is possible to read multiple TAGs simultaneously with one board?i have ST25R3911B-DISCO board and bunch of 14443A Tag.if it is possible, what is the correct way to do the action??

Hello,is there a difference in declaring a C function with the __INLINE resp. inline keyword or using __attribute__((always_inline)) besides the latter one generating a warning?regards Herbert

I have a custom board with STM32H725IG using a multiplexed Octo SPI memory S71KL256xx. I have managed to establish reasonable communication to the memory thanks to example given in AN5050 even tough it was not H7. Sometimes, however, there are read/write errors and I suspect my PCB is poor. A new PCB will come soon.In the meanwhile, I am struggling writing a custom external loader. I have used the H7-example from stm32-external-loader/Loader_Files at contrib · STMicroelectronics/stm32-external-loader (github.com).I am using the same linker script given from the link, but in the Init() function in Loader_Src.c, the MX_OCTOSPI1_Init() hangs...int Init() { // Inits taken from Github example // https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/stm32-external-loader/blob/contrib/Loader_Files/H7%20device/Loader_Src.c *(uint32_t*)0xE000EDF0 = 0xA05F0000; //enable interrupts in debug SystemInit(); // called in system_stmh7xx.c   /* ADAPTATION TO THE DEVICE * change VTOR setting for H7 device

I've been trying for hours to read an analog value from a pin and write it over UART with no success on my STM32MP1. I've assigned PF14 to ADC2_INN2 and set IN2 to "IN2 Differential", then I generate the code and when I try to build I get a bunch of errors with regards to HAL functions.   I have "#define HAL_ADC_MODULE_ENABLED" in my stm32mp1xx_hal_conf.h, which I thought would be what I needed.
