Is the MCU "not for new" designs?

I want to add a TIM15_TRIG connection (is this the same as TRGO?) to a DMA transfer request. When trying to do this via STM32CubeIDE "Version: 1.11.2 Build: 14494_20230119_0724 (UTC)" I get the following options:i.e. no option to select TIM15_TRIG, which appears to be shown to be supported in RM0440:Could this please be added to the interface so I can set it please? And if it cannot be set in the STM32G431KB MCU, could you please update the documentation to reflect this fact please?Thank you.

tested on nucleo stm32h723 board with STM32CubeIDE (only main.c is modified)What does this example?Timer3 triggers an interrupt every 40 microseconds. The interrupt toggles PC8 for ~2ms. Additionally we trigger a FMC data transfer every second for 10 seconds. What is the Problem?Every second during the FMC data transfer our interrupt handler is somehow delayed! The global variable "ticks_end_max" contains the maximum number of the timer3 counter register just before the interrupt ends. This max counter value is ~2600, but only ~600 if FMC access commented out!Using an oscilloscope on pins PC8 and PC9 is also possible. PC9 is configured as TIM3_CH4 and emits a 4us low pulse each cycle. PC8 is toggled for ~2us during interrupt. Trigger on rising edge of PC8 when PC9 is low.

hello. Now I am using stm32mp157a-ev1 board and coding M4 program on stm32cubeide.However, there is a problem that the stm32cubeide stops at 70% after starting to run or debug. And can check the log for errors in metadata.2023-04-04 17:11:23,560 [INFO] LogOutputStream:77 - [STDOUT_REDIRECT] 2023-04-04 17:11:46,018 [ERROR] LogOutputStream:75 - [STDERR_REDIRECT] SLF4J: Failed to load class "org.slf4j.impl.StaticLoggerBinder".2023-04-04 17:11:46,018 [ERROR] LogOutputStream:75 - [STDERR_REDIRECT] SLF4J: Defaulting to no-operation (NOP) logger implementation2023-04-04 17:11:46,018 [ERROR] LogOutputStream:75 - [STDERR_REDIRECT] SLF4J: See http://www.slf4j.org/codes.html#StaticLoggerBinder for further details. The OS environment is Windows 10, and the installation location is installed with the default settings.I can't proceed with the current project, so please help.

MCU: STM32G474 (100 pins)PIN: PD12 configured as ADC input with 12-bit resolutionPIN: PE1 configured as GPIO_Input to trigger software reset thru NVIC_SystemReset()How to duplicate:1.) Inject voltage on PD12 and monitor the ADC raw reading.2.) Trigger the reset at PE1.3.) Read the raw reading at PD12.Expected Result:Raw reading should be almost the same.Actual Result:The raw reading became higher.Example: Previously, the ADC raw reading at PD12 was 12400. Then after the reset, it became 12800.So far, only this pin was observed to have this kind of behavior.Do you have any experience with this kind of behavior? Have you determine the cause?

Posted on June 28, 2018 at 11:20Hello,I'd like to cross-compile code without using SPC5Studio for SPC570S5E1 on a linux box, which version of gcc would I need and what flags should I use? Do I need a special toolchain for the e200z0 core? Thanks in advance#gcc #cross-compilation

Hello We've designed a custom board based on 157F-DK2 with device tree generated from the custom CubeMX project (included in case somebody like to review it.)After flashing it in DFU mode with the image created from openstlinux sdk, TF-A bails out of boot with messagePANIC at PC : 0x2fff1de9   Exception mode=0x00000016 at: 0x2fff1de9Now the troubleshooting guide says this probably stems from clock settings but our clock settings are similar to DK2. Interestingly if I flash the device with the official binary from SDKI getNOTICE: CPU: STM32MP157FAC Rev.Z NOTICE: Model: STMicroelectronics STM32MP157F-DK2 Discovery Board ERROR: I2C device not ready PANIC at PC : 0x2fff0467   Exception mode=0x00000016 at: 0x2fff0467which means we are over the clock problems and there is a problem with communicating with PMIC judging by the BL code ret = stm32_i2c_init(i2c, &i2c_init); if (ret != 0) { ERROR("Cannot initialize I2C %x (%d)\n", i2c->i2c_base_addr, ret); panic(); } &nb

Hi Team,I'm facing some trap in the STM32WLE5 device during RTC init, some time RTC initialization works, some time it hangs in generated function "HAL_RTC_MspInit()" during HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(RTC_Alarm_IRQn). if any one faced this issue kindly let me know tow it was resolved. Thanks in Advance.

I'm migrating from ST25R3911B to ST25R3916B and i find that rfalTransceiveBlockingTxRx used with 3916B doesn't work with 15693-3 custom command. I get error=0x9 (framing error)I'm using the addressed mode on 3911B and 3916B, the message buffer is the same, the tag is the same (NTAG5). The custom command format is: FLAG - CMD_CODE - MFG_CODE - UID - BLOCK_ADDR - BLOCK_NUMBER - CRCFLAG is 0x22CMD_CODE: 0xC0MFG_CODE: 0x04The same function used in a custom write operation (CMD_CODE 0xC1) works, and it works for all standard write and read commands called before the custom read register wich fails. Thanks for any help

I'd like to use my own server instead of HSM card. I can't find any information how the license file is generated except the fact that it is possible as mentioned in AN5054.Slawek

What are the benefits of using OpenStLinux on STM32MP15 and how does it differ from other operating systems?Thank you in advance for your response :)

I'm just starting to learn microcontrollers, so I have a question.I have STM32F103C8T6 and STLINK V2 programmer.Connected lines SWDIO, SWCLK, SWO(PB3) and RESET In CUBE MX I choose "No Debug" or "Serial Wire" or "Trace Asynchrone SW" and in CUBE IDE with any choice (after flashing), there is debugging by registers and SWOWhy is it so done that debugging goes on, even if it is turned off in CUBE MXIn STM32 Utility also works, with debugging disabledPic

Hi! I am working currently on a stm32 F407, I am implementing USB Communication Device Class with the microcontroller being a device. The microcontroller is powered via the STLink but I wanted to change that and supply it through the usb I am using for virtual communication. On the data brief, it says that the board has a Flexible power-supply options: ST-LINK, USB VBUS, or external sources. I assume that I have to use the USB Vbus. The reference manual says that :On-chip 5 V VBUS generation is not supported. For this reason, a charge pump or, if 5 V are available on the application board, a basic power switch must be added externally to drive the 5 V VBUS line. The external charge pump can be driven by any GPIO output. This is required for the OTG A-host, A-device and host-only configurations. The VBUS input ensures that valid VBUS levels are supplied by the charge pump during USB operations while the charge pump overcurrent output can be input to any GPIO pin configured to genera

We are looking for a replacement of NXP microcontroller LPC1764FBD100. Can you please suggest a suitable ST Microcontroller?

I am having trouble with USB-FS communication with STM32F107RCT7.When the board is connected to the PC via microUSB, the PC does not even detect something is connected to the PC.I know that the PC detects a new device via a pull-up resistor on either DP or DM lines. In my case there needs to be 3.3V on DP pin via an Internal Resistor inside the MCU.Checked the voltage on DP, it is zero.Tried to debug the issue in STMCubeIDE:I found the function responsible for USB initialization: HAL_PCD_MspInitBut there were no pin initialization for DP or DM pins.Throughout the whole project I could'tn find any initialization on DP or DM pins.Added the following code in HAL_PCD_Mspinit__HAL_RCC_GPIOA_CLK_ENABLE(); GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = USB_FS_DP_Pin|USB_FS_DM_Pin; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_AF_PP; GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_HIGH; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL; HAL_GPIO_Init(USB_FS_DP_GPIO_Port, &GPIO_InitStruct);Still no 3.3V on DP pin.I cheked the DP pin on nucleo F767ZI

stm32mp157f-dk2 is not embedded jtag connector, but i want to use jtag debugger.st-link(stm32f103cbt6) embedded in stm32mp157f-dk2 has jtag pin(T_JTCK, T_NRST, T_SWO, T_JTMS)Q1. Can't I use jtag with only ST-LINK USB CONNECTOR (5 pin)?Q2. what should I do if I want to use jtag?Thank you

1. Terminal setting: classic can, silent mode, 250kbps, commercial vehicle, stm32g4742. Symptom: There is no problem during the test, but sometimes a problem occurs with the vehicle, probably because of a can error. Symptoms not reproduced.3. Inquiries: -. Can our terminal affect the external can bus in silent mode? -. How to perform recovery in firmware when can bus off occurs?

im debugging an LTDC project for the stm32f429zit6 on the disc board and in the sfr tab under rcc apb2enr it stops at tim11 and doesnt show ltdcen why is that and it seems my configurations in the ltdc registers arnt being set . im looking in the .svd file on from what i can see LTDCEN isnt in there im attempting to add it but im not sure what all i have to do

Hello, we are working on new release of STM32WL "STM32Cube_FW_WL_V1.3.0". release which has introduced changes in RTC driver which we believe is fixed for the issue (RTC loosing time issue STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeH7#24 )But, after running RTC overnight we have seen RTC issue is still persist in different manner this time RTC is increasing timeTest Start time : 17:55:56, UTC time 1670415956Test End Time: 9:48:00, UTC time 1670473080, (57124 Seconds)Difference of UTC time should be : 57124 (1670473080 - 1670415956)But, From attached logs we can see Test End time is 9:48:00 and total seconds are 57135s837 (check last line in logs).RTC had generated 57135s837 seconds instead of 57124 Seconds. So, 57135 - 57124 = 11 Seconds are increased in actual timeRTCTestLogs.txtRTC Driver.zipDriver files are also attached for more details. Can someone please explain how to fix this?

On the website, in the databrief it is not stated how to connect the jumpers on the steval-mki227ka, I would like to know how to enable SPI mode 1 on the evaluation kit for testing. The problem that I'm getting is that even reading the who am I address it gives back the wrong answer. All help will be appreciated.

hey there! in a recent video posted to the ST youtube channel about STM32WL rf layout, there's a reference to the existence and availability of four separate reference designs - MB1720, MB1842, MB1791, and MB1792 using STM32WL parts, but it seems none of these are available for access on the ST website yet. I'm interested to see them, because they seem much closer to the cut down approach to the design I'd like to do, as compared to the nucleo reference design which is available.Normally I'd just be doing my own cut down design/layout based on the nucleo design I have been evaluating right now, but if more work is already done on ST's side, it would be really nice if I could get the files to look at and start from there. Also the existence but unavailability of those designs is a little worrying.. are they unavailable because of a problem with the basic approach they follow? if so I'd love to know before I waste a bunch of time prototyping my own similar approach.
