What would be a good accelerometer to be used in a product to detect if it has been dropped? The idea is to build a battery-powered subsystem for an (expensive) medical equipment to track improper handling (e.g. drop or tilt) during transport or during operation which might impact product performance. We would also be interested in a reference design for the whole subsystem incl. MCU, RTC and MEMS sensor.NOTE: This question and answer originated from a customer support case which was handled by us. We regularly review support cases and add any helpful ones here for all to benefit from.

I am new ti STM32CubeIDEI am trying to use the visual clock configuration tool.What I can't figure out is how do I select HSE in the PLL Source Mux? It seems to be disabled in the tool.

Hi,I'm using STM32H743ZI. I want to measure the LSI frequency by timer TIM16.Configure TIM16 by CubeMX (5.2.1)"Input Capture direct mode from Remap""TI1 remap capabilities for TIM16 => "TIM16 TI1 is connected to RCC LSI"TIM16 global interrupt => "Enabled"Call "MX_TIM16_Init()"In my opinion in line 29 Register TI1SEL should be set to 0x1. But the register does not change. If I set the register manually it seems to work./* TIM16 init function */ void MX_TIM16_Init(void) { TIM_IC_InitTypeDef sConfigIC = {0};   htim16.Instance = TIM16; htim16.Init.Prescaler = 0; htim16.Init.CounterMode = TIM_COUNTERMODE_UP; htim16.Init.Period = 0xFFFF; htim16.Init.ClockDivision = TIM_CLOCKDIVISION_DIV1; htim16.Init.RepetitionCounter = 0; htim16.Init.AutoReloadPreload = TIM_AUTORELOAD_PRELOAD_DISABLE; if (HAL_TIM_Base_Init(&htim16) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } if (HAL_TIM_IC_Init(&htim16) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } sConfigIC.ICPolarity = TIM_INPUTCHANNELPOLARITY_R

I read mac_802_15_4_api_wb.c and Inside it mentioned "Check STM32WBxx_SW_Architecture_and_Design.pdf for further information".I searched this file, but I could not get it.So,where can I get STM32WBxx_SW_Architecture_and_Design.pdf ?

I need some text in chineese and corean, for example i need to write 한국어 and 汉语 , i've added those letters in my Typographies, but still get only ???, what am i missing? another strange think is that i forgot to put greek character in my typography, but the word ελληνικά is displayed correcly...btw, not sure if corean is supported, but chineese is, according to https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/205452881-Languages-and-CharactersThanks.Stefano

Hello,Can someone let me know how to bring STM32H753XI-E02 Eval board back to its original status (i.e. factory default)?I tried to implement Quad SPI application and found the Eval board did not work well. The USB port (CN23) did not communicate and LD3 illuminated Red color. Thanks,James

Installing the latest STM32CubeIDE on mac is problematic.I am running MacOS 10.14.5 (Mojave)The install for ST-LINK Server fails with an error about it being incompatible and harmful.If I selected "New STM32 Project" then the following dialog appears, and just sits there indefinitely. You cannot click on OK or CANCEL and nothing works from now on.

Is there any example source code that I can use for controlling CR95HF from user space application in Linux using SPI? If not, what is the timeline for releasing CR95HF Linux RFAL port ?Regards,Jimit

I've just receive an info about STM32MP1 & Linux hands-on workshop. Once again, there is no location at Poland. Is there any plans to organize this kind of workshop in the nearest future in Warsaw or any other city of Poland?

Dear support,We use 3 cans in STM32F767ZI board and have some problems with filter & banks configurations.We use FilterScale = CAN_FILTERSCALE_32BIT and CAN_ID_EXT for transmit/receive data. We would like to receive data by the following way: CAN1 should receive all data with bits[9-12]=0001, CAN2 should receive all data with bits[9-12]=0002, CAN3 should receive all data with bits[9-12]=0003.we set:filter_id1 = 0x00000200;filter_id2 = 0x00000400 ;filter_id3 = 0x00000600;filter_mask1 = 0x00000200;filter_mask2 = 0x00000400;filter_mask3 = 0x00000600; but these setting don't work properly. Could you pls help to understand what it is a problem here.And another question about banks. we use :can1: sFilterConfigCan1.FilterBank = 0, sFilterConfigCan1.SlaveStartFilterBank = 14;can2: sFilterConfigCan1.FilterBank = 14, sFilterConfigCan1.SlaveStartFilterBank = 14;can3: sFilterConfigCan1.FilterBank = 2, sFilterConfigCan1.SlaveStartFilterBank = 14;Is it correct setting? T

Hello ST Community,Does anyone know which register I can read to find which IRQ triggered an IVOR04 exception, on SPC58?I am using the software vector mode, and the interrupt controller (INTC_IACKR) only gives me the address of the ISR... which is unfortunate when the IRQ is mapped to a generic ISR.Thanks.

Hello,is it possible to use VS for coding the hardware integration side of a TGFX-Application?I tried the following:I downloaded the example project from here.When I tried to make some modifications to model.cpp the Intellisense didn't find any commands relatet to the BSP. My guess was, that because "SIMULATOR" is definded, all the code relatet to the BSP is being ignored as it sits inside an #ifndef-block.Because I could not find a way to "undefine" SIMULATOR I changed the code from#ifndef SIMULATOR #include "stm32746g_discovery.h" #endifto#include "stm32746g_discovery.h"But this just resulted in a "File not found"-Error.Adding the file's folder to the project resulted in even more errors due to missing files and datatypes.So I guess my question is: Is it possible to use VS for all the coding (using the TGFX-Designer to compile for target)? I am not aiming at compiling from VS (this would be a bonus, of course ;) ).Or do you recommend using VS only for the GUI/Simulator and using a di

I tried to create a TextBox widget which derived from Box widget and TextArea widget. Because of its multiple inheritances, I also made minor changes to library files by adding keyword "virtual" to solve ambiguity error("base class"touchgfx::Drawable" is ambiguous). Project compiled but it still didn't work. I would like to know how to create a custom widget class if it's possible. Thank you.

Hi, I use two touch panels, one is ft5306 and another is tsc2007. These are under same i2c bus, the i2c2 controller.The ft5306 use PG8 as interrupt line. The tsc2007 use PI8 as interrupt ine. Here is my dts code for these devices.331 ft5x06: ft5x06@38 { 332 compatible = "edt,edt-ft5306"; 333 reg = <0x38>; 334 interrupts = <8 IRQ_TYPE_EDGE_FALLING>; 335 interrupt-parent = <&gpiog>; 336 interrupt-controller; 337 reset-gpios = <&gpiog 7 GPIO_ACTIVE_LOW>; 338 status = "okay"; 339 };   362 tsc2007: tsc2007@48 { 363 compatible = "ti,tsc2007"; 364 reg = <0x48>; 365 interrupt-parent = <&gpioi>; 366 interrupts = <8 IRQ_TYPE_EDGE_FALLING>; 367 interrupt-controller; 368 gpios = <&gpioi 8 GPIO_ACTIVE_LOW>; 369 ti,x-plate-ohms = <660>; 370 wakeup-source; 371 };When the linux system startup, the tsc2007 loaded and successful. Hi, Following is my init code for stm32f4 CAN Bus Normal mode. I've Calculated the bus to work on bit rate of 500 kbps & 16 Tq's. If i connect two discovery boards with transceivers(TJA1050) on both sides, i can see CAN data getting transmitted & received. But, If i connect CAN Bus Analyzer to the harness i'm not seeing correct CAN Bus data traffic in my PC. I doubt my clock settings. Kindly anyone confirm am i setting the CAN Bus bit rate of 500 kbps properly with my initialization?System Clock source details(following values received usingfunction RCC_GetClocksFreq():-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------RCC Clock Source : 0x08 (PLL used as System clock) SYSCLK_Frequency: 168000000 HCLK_Frequency: 168000000 PCLK1_Frequency: 42000000 PCLK2_Frequency: 84000000 Init Code:--------------void can1_init(){ can1_low_level_init(); hcan1.CAN_Prescaler = 21; hcan1.CAN_Mode = CAN_M

Hi.I'm using a stm32f301k8u but the peripheral bit-band doesn't work.SRAM bit-band work, but peripheral bit-band doesn't work.The previously used STM32F1 and STM32F4 worked well.Is i t possible peripheral bit-band in STM32F3 series?I can't find anything about the bit-band in stm32f301k8 reference manual.

Dear all, Sorry for this old questions ( & and seems not fixed). I use STM32CubeMX w/ vs code to build a program in STM32F103RE. And the I2C master seems not working. It always raise AF error. Maybe this is due the salve device problem. But once I probe the SCL pin with my DSO, nothing is found! And once I try to run the code step by step via debugger, the program will sometime freezed due to busy flag! I googled it and find there are many bug reports on this topic. But none of the solution can solve the problem. Can anyone please give me any tips? Attached please find my project

Hi, I use STM32CubeProgrammer to download file into dk2 board. I am confuse about the tsv file. Could you give more detail this file and programming steps description? How can i modify it to download files into my custom board. And I can not found the AN5275 file.Could you support it?

Hi guys, I am in 12th grade and very interested in electronics. Ever since I knew about ARM microcontrollers (especially STM32 ARM MCU's) I've always wanted to build my projects using ARM MCU's, but I am unable to understand the technical information that is given in the data sheet, why something/concept is the way it is and when I ask for help related to these controllers online. As of now, all I do is, look at the data sheet of an ARM MCU (only STM32's) and see its power supply scheme, clock circuit schematic and apply them to my schematic. But I feel its a dumb job doing it and would want to know the concept of it and the reason behind it and applying it, how to use USB, I2C, Interrupts, SPI, PWM, how to program one from my computer with step by step instructions, basically every single thing of an ARM MCU. Also, I would want to make my own Microcontroller development board and boards for some robotic projects but with understanding everything, not just copying and doing it without

GreetingsIn my current project i need a way to change the whole project style, so for now i'm changing just the background. my default background is just a colored box, but if another style is selected i wanna set an image as background, and thats is done easily, but i can't figure out how to move the just created behind pre-existing objects. I saw that in the viewBase class the object order is just the order which they are created, no functions to set their order (as far as i know), so i can't create my image as background, because the viewbase class is called before my implemantation. A temporaly solution found was creating the image in the designer with no image set (or with .setVisible(false)), but i was hoping for a better solution.Thanks for any suggestion.Stefano

I'm looking for the source code of touchgfx_demo2014_240x320, I could only find the .hex file for the STM32F429I-Discovery board. It used to be available in old versions of TouchGFX designer under <touchgfx install dir>/app/demo/. Thanks in advance.

Hello,I encounded an issue using TrueStudio in debug.I work until 6 weeks on a card with an stm32l431 on it and it works fine.I'm on windows 10.But today, my collegue try something on this card and now it's impossible to load a file in debug.My collegue is on Linux.Are using an ST link prob. We already have the same settings on each compter (windows and linux).But now, most of the time, that's impossible to load and debug a program using TrueStudio (on both computer). But sometime, we can load and debug for only one time.But using CubeProgrammer it's works fine (every time).The TrueStudio logs:STMicroelectronics ST-LINK GDB server. For the HAL Library file "stm32f4xx_hal_i2c.c", version V1.4.0, I see the macro "#define I2C_TIMEOUT_BUSY_FLAG " was added. Why was this timeout of 10 seconds added? Doesn't 10 seconds sound too much for a blocking call on the I2C bus?
