Solved

Hello,while Nucleo-H743ZI product page and schematics are available, I am unable to locate any for the Nucleo-H743ZI2 board. Could you please assist? Thank you!

Hi everyone!The best thing, sometimes, about writing to a forum is that: often describing the problem helps you to find what you were doing wrong... so this is solved. But, I thought I would add it here to keep value in the community. Say hi if it helps you.The solution is simply to make sure that when you actually use your const data, be sure that you are referencing it with pointers, otherwise you might be copying a lot of data into SRAM.[ the original issue and observations ]I need to have about 150k of data in flash. (sizeof(myData )=149456).But my stack size is like 1k on the RTOS task.The data is in its own C file as a static const with structs and arrays of structs, etc.It's a generated file that is all values and no pointers to other places.static const myData_t myData = { .someArrayOfStructs = { } , .ArrayOfOtherArrayOfStructs = {} }.Then I get the whole thing via a pointer with:myData_t * MYDATA_get_pointer() { return &myData; }In this way I can get the data to my other l

The printed message is:▒▒RT ▒▒▒n▒▒ E▒amp▒▒ ▒▒▒a▒g▒▒ ▒h▒ C ▒▒b▒a▒y p▒▒n▒▒ ▒un▒▒▒▒n ▒▒ ▒h▒ ▒▒RT▒Insteadprintf("UART Printf Example: retarget the C library printf function to the UART\n\r");

Our MCU (STM32L010) is getting wake up ~32 seconds from stop mode due to IWDG reset. Is there any way to Freeze IWDG counter during stop mode.Pls respond as soon as possible..

Hi,I have generated and built code by STM32CubeIDE but the SysTick and Timer not work. I set breakpoint but the interrupt function just not run. GPIO feature work normal. But when I create the project by STM32CubeMX with the same configuration and built code by KeilC then everything work good. So is that a bug of SMT32CubeIDE? I'm using STM32F103C8T6 on board Bluepill. I don't want to use KeilC anymore because it not free. What should i do now?Thank for your advice.

Hi,i have 2 boards (client and server) with STM32WB that communicates through BLE messages. Right now, at every reboot/disconnection i am redoing the pairing, but it is really slow.In order to reduce the whole connection time, i am trying to use the bonding for not redoing the pairing every time.The first question is: if the server board receive a connection request from the same MAC address, but it is not the client board but someone that wants to steal data, how can find that the device is not the same that i have bonded?The second question is: how do i know that the connection is switched to encrypted or it is not because the slave board canceled the pairing with the function aci_gap_remove_bonded_device? I noticed that if i connect the board but it has removed the bonding, the client continue to think that the slave is bonded according to the result of the function aci_gap_get_bonded_devices.Thank you in advance

Hi,I want to compile linux kernel for stm32mp157c-dk2, i followed guide in README.HOW_TO.txt and when i run command "make ARCH=arm O="$PWD/../build" multi_v7_defconfig fragment*.config" in point 5. Hi,I am trying to write a waveform table to the DAC peripheral using DMA and the TIM6 peripheral.TIM6 does appear to work as expected.I can also see the DMA getting triggered by means of TIM6_TRGO.But the DMA Transfer results in a Transfer Error, resulting in a DAC underrun. The latter expected due to the former error.Something, I am missing in the DMA setup that causes TE IRQ to be raised, but somehow I am blind to the bug. Can someone lend another set of eyeballs, please ?static void SystemClock_Config(void) { LL_FLASH_SetLatency(LL_FLASH_LATENCY_7); LL_PWR_SetRegulVoltageScaling(LL_PWR_REGU_VOLTAGE_SCALE1); LL_RCC_HSI_Enable(); while (LL_RCC_HSI_IsReady() != 1) {} /* Wait till HSI is ready */   LL_RCC_HSI_SetCalibTrimming(64); LL_RCC_PLL_ConfigDomain_SYS(LL_RCC_PLLSOURCE_HSI, LL_RCC_PLLM_DIV_4, 75, LL_RCC_PLLR_DIV_2); LL_RCC_PLL_EnableDomain_SYS(); LL_RCC_PLL_Enable(); while (LL_RCC_PLL_IsReady() != 1) {} /* Wait till PLL is ready */   LL_RCC_SetSysClkSource(

Hi,I noticed that if I enable an alarm for the RTC using CubeMX 6.1.0 with date/weekday mask enabled, it results in this line being generated:RTC_AlarmStruct.AlarmMask = RTC_ALARMMASK_DATEWEEKDAYHowever, that flag is undefined. In my case, it should be:RTC_AlarmStruct.AlarmMask = LL_RTC_ALMA_MASK_DATEWEEKDAY(This is with L4_V1.16.0 and LL drivers, targeting an STM32L475, if that matters.)

Hi everyone,I'm configuring the Ethernet MAC address over CubeMX for a NUCLEO-F746ZG target. Default address is 00-80-e1-00-00-00 which identifies ST manufacturers.I was wondering if I can freely manipulate the other 24 bits for an industrial purpose? I guess that as long as my board is connected on a private Network with guarantee that there won't be any MAC address conflict, then it is fine. But there is some risks if not (I tried to configure 2 boards on same network with same MAC, my router seemed confused) ...Possible solution is then to buy IEEE my own manufacturer ID, or buy a component that already offers an unique MAC identifier.Can somebody tell me if I'm right or not? Is there any other solution?Nadreoh

Hello,i am using ADC with DMA. In my initialization code i did the ADC calibration procedure like that: HAL_ADCEx_Calibration_Start(&hadc1, ADC_SINGLE_ENDED); // ADC calibration VrefintCalValue = (*VREFINT_CAL_ADDR); // read out the calibration value of VREFINT   HAL_ADC_Start_DMA(&hadc1, (uint32_t*)adc_buffer, 3); // Start ADC for 3 conversions and transfer data over DMA inside the memoryAfter ADC conversion complete, i calculate the battery voltage (vdd) as follows: adc_value_VREFINT = (double)(3 * VrefintCalValue) / 4095; vdd = 3000 * ((double)VrefintCalValue / (adc_buffer[2] >> 4)); // why not (adc_buffer[2] >> 3)?The calculation works fine, but i don't understand the 4x bitshift. In my opinion it must be 3x bit-shift.Here is a part of my ADC init: hadc1.Init.OversamplingMode = ENABLE; hadc1.Init.Oversampling.Ratio = ADC_OVERSAMPLING_RATIO_128; hadc1.Init.Oversampling.RightBitShift = ADC_RIGHTBITSHIFT_3; hadc1.Init.Oversampling.TriggeredMode

Specifically,https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X00009XkXz9SAF/lis3dh-interrupt-int1-mode-not-firingI'm loged in but all that is shown is the question and a notice that the "This question is closed."Does that mean the question was never answered? Closed questions are no longer viewable? What am I missing? I'm using Chromium on Ubuntu and I've tried Firefox with same result.

After reading the Oscillator Design Guide, I picked a LSE crystal for my F7 from the list provided in that guide.But how do I know what the appropriate drive level is? My crystal has a max drive level of 1 uW. But does that corresponds to Low, MediumLow, MediumHigh, or High as described in the Reference?In none of the documents provided by ST I have found numerical descriptions of the drive levels provided by a F7. There is a drive level list for the HSE, but I'm not sure if I can use that for the LSE as well.

Hello everyone. I just met Touch Gfx and I am a student.I want to display a list I saved in the first sector of qspi flash in the scrollistbut I could not reach a kind of resultI kept the first 2mb of the flash to myself/* Memories definition */ MEMORY { RAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000000, LENGTH = 256K FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x8000000, LENGTH = 1024K QSPI (r) : ORIGIN = 0x90200000, LENGTH = 14M }// ***** readTable.h ****     class readTable { public: void kategorisayisi (); // reading and extracting data from flash char * RitimIsmiGonder(int no); //for ScrollRitimUpdateItem call   private: char * ritimListesi[121]; // The array I want to send to the scrollist widget }       }; I do reading, extracting and sending in a class called readTable.// readTable.cpp       uint16_t sizem = 1000; volatile char *externalFlash =( char * ) 0x90000000; char data[1000]; char delim[] = "\r\n";     void readTable::kategorisayisi() {

Hi,I just powered up my own board and i just wanted to start debuging.The first thing i tried was to connect with the STM32 ST-Link Utility and an ST-Link V2.This works fine. I can connect via SWD and can read the Chip-ID and see the Flash.In terms of the hardware everything seemed to be fine for me.So i continued with setting up the newest Cube IDE which i just downloaded. (Version: 1.5.0)I set up an example project, with my processor and SWD enabled and tried to start debugging. But this is where i encountered the problem. When i was starting the debugging session, it took forever to connect, showing the following debug log:  STMicroelectronics ST-LINK GDB server. Version 5.7.0 Copyright (c) 2020, STMicroelectronics. All rights reserved.   Starting server with the following options: Persistent Mode : Disabled Logging Level : 1 Listen Port Number : 61234 Status Refresh Delay : 15s Verbose Mode : Disabled SWD Debug : Enabled InitWhile : Enabled   Waiting for debug

Hi everyoneI am working on a project with STM32H750 chip. I use internal flash for run application. I want to use vga display. So for this, I disabled touch controller and configured LTDC for vga. I fixid the erros and load tha aplication in chip. When I try to run application, code goes to "hal.taskEntry()" but never go to "setupScreen()" funtion. I debug code until "OSWrappers::waitForVSync()" function. When in this function never returned back. Then code gone "vApplicationIdleHook" continuously.I created project with TouchGFX designer with by choosing STM32H750 Disco board. Then I configured project with CubeMX. I use TouchGFX 4.15 software. I completely stuck in here. Thanks for your opinion in advance.Edit; I want to explain last status of problem. I writed this in a reply on below but I thought it better be here too;As a new strategy, I created a project with CubeMX and add TouchGFX later. My problem with freeRTOS is solved when do this.Now LTDC became th

Hi,I have setup STM32F446 MCU such that, when pressing the user blue button, it will trigger an external interrupt. Inside the interrupt routine, it contains the I2S receive function:void HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Callback(uint16_t GPIO_Pin){ int16_t audio_buffer[16000]; HAL_I2S_Receive(&hi2s2, (uint16_t *) audio_buffer, 16000, 100);}However, when debugging, as soon as I pressed the blue button the program just ceases to work. In the debugger console, the message displayed was:Temporary breakpoint 1, main () at ../Src/main.cpp:8282  HAL_Init();Program received signal SIGTRAP, Trace/breakpoint trap.HardFault_Handler () at ../Src/stm32f4xx_it.c:8686 {Could anyone please guide me on solving this issue? thank you.

HiI made a timer. I send seconds and minutes to Model and to main.c.I want seconds and minutes to be visible in main.c.Now they are only visible after changing the screen.What I have to do?best regardsAndrzej

I wish to print "String recieved" if /r or /n is detecetd otherwise i wish to print "Error" .The problem is after detecting the first string i receive an output "String Received" After which i also receive error message. I have doubt if i have implemented the __HAL_UART_ENABLE_IT(&huart3, UART_IT_RXNE) and enabled the HAL_UART_IRQ handler correctly,I have used __HAL_UART_ENABLE_IT(&huart3, UART_IT_RXNE) function after initialising all the configured peripherals in CubeMx</* USER CODE BEGIN PV */ uint8_t g_rx_receive_complete=0;  uint8_t g_rx_received_bytes=0;  char g_rx_buffer [10]={0};  char rx_buffer [10]={0};/* USER CODE END PV *//* USER CODE BEGIN PFP */void check (void){         g_rx_buffer[g_rx_received_bytes]=(uint8_t)USART3->DR;  if((g_rx_buffer[g_rx_received_bytes]=='\n')||(g_rx_buffer[g_rx_received_bytes]=='\r'))   {     g_rx_buf

Hi,I have created an empty C++ in STM32CubeIDE to create an a project with my own structure. I don't want to use or have the code generation tool on my project.The problem that I have is that I can't import the HAL libraries from a C++ files since when I compile it fails, I get undefined reference for all the functions that come form the HAL.I have already added the HALlibrary files to the project structure and added the path for C and C++ in the project settings.I think that I'm doing something wrong when integrating the c libraries from the HAL into de C++ code.from my main file I call a c function in a cpp function and from there I call my GPIO.h library that is cpp. Inside this library I call the HAL functions.Does someone know what I am doing wrong?Below are a summarize of my files. Thank you.main.c#include <stdint.h> #include "App.h"   int main(void) { //Start app InitApp(); while(1); }App.h#ifndef APP_H_ #define APP_H_   #ifdef __cplusplus   extern "C" {

I have custom stm32f765 board it has very minimal design. only some caps and resistor for the reset and boot. My problem is i have attached hse crystal of 16Mhz.this one https://www.digikey.in/product-detail/en/epson/TSX-3225-16-0000MF09Z-AC0/SER4069DKR-ND/5413941and also 12pf ceramic capacitors. i have configured a code to work with hse but still it is not working is there anything i can do to check wether external crystal is working or not ?by debugging the code i came to know thatwhile (__HAL_RCC_GET_FLAG(RCC_FLAG_HSERDY) == RESET)    {     if ((HAL_GetTick() - tickstart) > HSE_TIMEOUT_VALUE)     {      return HAL_TIMEOUT;     }    }code is not going further from this lines  Can you please guide my how can i debug. ? since the same code is working on the nucleo and nucleo has stlink external clock.Thank you.
