The problem is as follows: When I am trying to update HRTIM master timer registers (MPER, MCMP1-4) on the STM32G474 via Burst DMA access, every data word I write into the BDMADR register gets written into two of the specified master timer registers. So the first data word gets written into MPER and MCMP1, the second into MCMP2 and MCMP3, the third into MCMP4 and whatever has the address after MCMP4 (it's not a master timer register I think), and then it repeats. I have tried manually writing into the BDMADR register, used various DMA data chunk lengths, but to no avail.

I was working on a simple SPI transmit code, I am transmitting some string data via SPI Half duplex, the code is like I press blue button on the discovery board, and it transmits data, which I read from logic analyzer, but every time after data is transmitted, and I keep button pressed/release and press again, it also sends some garbage values after that, and keeps on doing that, I can't figure out what's wrong, pls find Code and Analyzer traces below*******************************CODE BELOW***********************************#include "main.h"/* Private includes ----------------------------------------------------------*//* USER CODE BEGIN Includes *//* USER CODE END Includes *//* Private typedef -----------------------------------------------------------*//* USER CODE BEGIN PTD *//* USER CODE END PTD *//* Private define ------------------------------------------------------------*//* USER CODE BEGIN PD *//* USER CODE END PD *//* Private macro -------------------------------------------

I have read a book on stm32, and inside the timer topic, it is stated that a formula to determine the values to be loaded to generate interrupt at specified times which as below:My question is does this formula applicable for all stm32 timers? and another question is, I could not find this formula in reference manual for model stm32L476RG. Could someone show me where to get this formula from official ST documentation?

Hello all, I am currently trying to get my STM32F411RE code working in Atollic TrueStudio. This project leverages the use of DMA and CMSIS-DSP which are all working in TrueStudio to find freqeuncy outcomes. The issues at hand is that I can upload my code to the STM32 board in the debug mode, but that this crashes once I attempt to resume the code and execute the main loop.I upload the code to the board using the ST32 Cubeprogrammer CLI, which downloads and verifies the code without any hiccups. It then switches over to the ST-Link which executes the setup code and stops at the (auto inserted per GDB) breakpoint just before the main. Executing the code then yields:TraceCaptureStart and SWV event set to APP_TRUE ST-LINK device status: RUN_MODE   ST-LINK device status: Failed to get status, Target not responding, retrying... Target is not responding, retrying....   ST-LINK device status: Failed to get status, Target not responding, retrying... Target is not responding, retrying.

Hello....I am using STM32CubeIDE 1.10.0. I purchased a LoRa-E5 from Seeed. The E5 has proprietary code on it that one must use a UART to talk to the device. I would like to basically erase the device and load my own code onto the device. I have created a very basic project in CubeIDE for the STM32WLE5JC which is the processor on the E5. At the moment my code does nothing more than toggle PA3 high and low. When I try to load the code onto the DUT I get the following error on the console:Erasing memory corresponding to segment 0:Erasing internal memory sectors [0 3]Download in Progress:Error: failed to download Segment[0]Error: failed to download the FileFurther reading seems to imply that the RPD bits are somehow set and I need to set them to Level 0. Can someone please confirm that yes this is actually the problem? And how using CubeIDE I go about doing this? I am very unfamiliar with this environment and would prefer to use CubeIDE rather than command line, etc. I was under the impres

Background:I have two STEVAL-IDB011V2 BlueNRG-LP boards. One of these evaluation boards is no longer recognized by MS Windows10 host machine at the serial port (i.e. Device Manager shows a problem with that USB device). As a result, the ST RF-Flash Utility (in fact, all of the ST Micro development software) cannot communicate with this board. Thus I have no easy way to reflash the firmware on this board. The last firmware I loaded on the malfunctioning board still communicates with my cell phone over BLE, so the Cortex M0 and BLE stack seem to be intact. However, it appears the circuitry associated with the UART is unhappy. The second evaluation board I have (identical hardware to the one that is malfunctioning) is recognized fine by the Windows10 host machine.Questions:Is there a way to recover the board, or am I going to have to purchase a new one?Has anyone seen this type of behavior in the past and how do I avoid this in the future? Thanks for any help or recommendations you can give

I'm working on a custom board based on STM32WLE5JB. First few prototypes worked without any issues, but in the last small batch (assembled by different assembly house) many boards have issues with data transmission: using HackRF I can see that the boards transmit something on the correct frequency (868.1, 868.3, 868.5MHz) but the gateway (RAK7258) doesn't detect it. Visually it looks like the transmitted signal on the bad boards is stronger so maybe it's somehow distorted (but it is slightly closer to the gateway so it's subjective). So, two boards from the same batch, running the same firmware, do the transmission but the gateway can decode only one. What would be the best way to debug this? Could this be the consequence of bad antenna matching (antenna was supposed be matched properly and boards are assembled in the same run so the components should be the same on them)?signal from ok board:signal from bad board:

I know that STM32H753 is pin-compatible to STM32H743, and as far as I know also code-compatible for most intents and purposes. The only difference seems to be the Crypto hardware acceleration. So I assume that I can run code from H743 on the H753 without even recompiling, is that correct? What about the Bootloader? AN2606 makes no distinction between H743 and H753, so again I assume the chips are interchangeable in this regard? What about the SecureBoot / SBSFU stuff? Do I need to do something special if I DON'T want to use these features? Or are they disabled by default? Thanks for your help!

In some situations, CubeIDE (v1.9.0) is not anymore able to handle the communication with the ST-Link probe. Disconnecting the USB cable, restarting CubeIDE, reseting the MCU, nothing allows to make it working again. The only way I found is restarding the computer, which is a bit tedious.Does somebody have a solution for that?

Hi,the Serial wire viewer (SWV) has a command-line option. This only launch the viewer and the user has to press R to start. Is it possible to directly start the SWV?Or is there a shell trick for this? - Thomas*********************************************ManualSTM32_Programmer_CLI.exe -c port=swd -swv freq=32 portnumber=0C:\Users\ST\swvLog\example.logSerial wire viewer (SWV) command-SWVDescription: This command allows the user to access the serial wire viewer console mode, which displays the printf data sent from the target through SWO.In this mode (see Figure 105) the user can start and stop the reception of the SWO data by pressing, respectively, the “R? and “S? buttons on the keyboard. Hi everyone, I feel like I am running out of options as to why this is occurring as the RM isn't that accurate to setup DMA + PWM using Timers. The goal is to use TIM15 as a PWM generator running @ 800kHz running until 24 pulses are outputted and then stop until I command it to run again. Within these 24 pulses different duty cycle can occur from 64% for HIGH and 32% for LOW. This TIM15 is using the Repetition Counter register to indicate when 24 pulses as gone by. What I have working thus far is a nice 24 pulse PWM stream but with only LOW (32%) present even though my buffer that gets transferred to CCR1 contains HIGH values (64%)The configuration for the TIM15 are as fellow:LL_DMA_InitTypeDef WS2812B_Config_DMA; LL_GPIO_InitTypeDef WS2812B_Config_GPIO; LL_TIM_InitTypeDef WS2812B_Config_TIM15; LL_TIM_OC_InitTypeDef WS2812B_Config_OC; LL_TIM_BDTR_InitTypeDef WS2812B_Config_BDTR;   LL_APB2_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_APB2_GRP1_PERIPH_TIM15); LL_AHB4_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_AHB4_GRP1_PERI

We want to migrate from STM32L4+ to STM32U5 series of processor.. this latest software is not supported by older ide (1.6.0) so we need to migrate from stm32cubeide 1.6.0 to 1.10.0..I have un-installed the older version and cleared all possible directories, disabled firewall, and removed antivirus. we are using windows7 OS.Done appropriate proxy settings in Window-->Preferences-->Network Connections as per https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_set_up_proxy_and_P2P_Ethernet_connection_with_STM32CubeIDE.Upon checking connection status in Window-->Preferences-->STM32Cube-->Firmware updater the check connection failure is noticed. I am unable to create any STM32 project as it needs a network connection for downloading the repository.I am able to connect properly to another computer in our LAB. with the above-given procedures.Kindly let me know pointers to debug this issue further.

Hi!I just want to report that I have found two bugs. There is no errors with the HAL_DMA functions. I assume there is some errors with the predefined constants or enumerations.IntroductionI'm using STM32CubeIDE 1.7.0 with STM32F373VBTx and firmware V1.11.3I'm going to enable DMA for two timers. TIM17 and TIM16. I'm going also to enable DMA for Sigma Delta ADC.GoalThe goal is that with TIM17 and TIM16, they will work as Input Capture and save the counter value into arrays. For Sigma Delta ADC, I want to store the ADC values into arrays.Method - Input CaptureFirst I enable the input capture with this code.volatile static uint16_t input_capture0[2] = {0}; volatile static uint16_t input_capture1[2] = {0};   void STM32_PLC_Start_Input_Capture(TIM_HandleTypeDef* htim17, TIM_HandleTypeDef* htim16) { /* * Input capture for measuring frequency * For TIM17 and TIM16 * Timer clock: 48 Mhz * Prescaler: 4799 * Counter: 65535 (0xffff) * Update frequency: 0.1526 Hz (1/0.1526 = 6.5535

Hi, I am using DMA to generate an arbitrary waveform on PIN PA_8 using TIM1_CH1. My HCLK is at 180MHZ, APB2 timer clock at 180 MHz and APB2 peripheral clocks at 90 MHZ.Even though having this clock, when comparing the oscilloscope and the value of ARR register I have a frequency of approximately 56 MHZ. Do you have an idea about it?

HelloI was wondering if you planned to support kirsktone (next yocto LTS) supposed to be released soon. Do you have any info on the port? Thanks

Hello,I'm working on a small scale project. In my earlier design, I've used the STM32F100x series. Now as the STM introduced a new set of controllers, the STM32G series ( which is less in cost and much higher efficiency than STM32F series), I've migrated to STM32G030K6T6. AT present in my custom-made board, I've only placed a micro-controller along with some essential circuitry component and trying to program the micro-controller, but unfortunately, the micro-controller is not getting programmed. Currently, I'm using the ST-Link V2. I even tried to program with the ST-link of the NUCLEO-G070RB board, but the results are still the same.Error Message :   14:09:32: Can not connect to target! Please select "Connect Under Reset" mode from Target->Settings menu and try again.  If you're trying to connect to a low-frequency application, please select a lower SWD Frequency mode from Target->Settings menu. 14:09:34: No target connected.

Please see the below:After migrating any previous STM32CubeIDE-1.9.0 project to STM32CubeIDE-1.10.0 using the Migrate tool, they all now fail to build, which is a pretty massive issue.Could this please be looked into immediately?Regards,Luke

Hello STCommunity,I can't find some data about the exposure area in m² of the VL53L5CX ToF-Sensor, there is only the FOV in degree mentioned in the flyers and datasheet, as you can see below.I look forward to hearing from you.kind regards Maik H.

I want to use the LED/Display drivers already written for the evaluation board. I am unable to include "stm32h747i_eval.h" which is located in my repository folder "STM32Cube/Repository/STM32Cube_FW_H7_V1.10.0/Drivers/BSP/STM32H747I-EVAL". Can this be done in CubeMX or do I need to link the folder in the project?

I have followed the driections from here to set up my project using ethernet. However, I do not get any response that the ethernet application is even running. I have tried pinging the set ipaddress of the board given in the description. I'm on Ubuntu 18.04. My ethernet connection status shows connected in network manager. Running an ifconfig shows the static address I set for connecting to the board.I have in a second task for the freeRTOS to have LED1 on board blink. Inside a second task designated as the udp task, I have a separate LED toggling as well. The first LED toggles as expected, but in the udp task, the LED2 is not blinking. I can get it to Blink if I remove the udpSend command. I'd like to verify that there is not any specific hardware setup with the board that I'm missing. From UM2525 it seems I just can set JP5, which I left as default.I have also run "nmap -sP 192.168.0/24" in a terminal to check for any other devices on that network with zero results turned up. The DCH

I have been trying to set up an Ethernet application demo on the STM32H757Xi-Eval board that I am helping to evaluate for a customer trying to determine if st micro-controllers are the best chip to utilize in their next gen releases. I have not had much luck demonstrating the Ethernet capability of the STM32H757 chip.I have been following the article written here that ultimately leads to an article that follows the first one and provides example code as well, found here. The second one even helps to guide how to start the setup up in CubMX and then provides example code for sending UDP messages as well as modifying the FLASH.ld script.Currently, I am toggling LED4 (Blue) on the board inside my default task. If I remove the udpSend() function, the LED will blink at Hz. Once I put the function back in, there is no response from the LED. What would cause the program to get stuck in that function? It is a pre-written funciton. So, I'd assume I should not need to alter it.I am running in an

I am using the stm32h757i-Eval board and am trying to get a simple Ethernet LWIP application running. I am also using native Ubuntu 18.04. I have the H7 CubeMX repo v1.10.0. I am running the project in STM32CubeIDE. I have verified both the IDE and CubeMX are up to date.I followed the directions given here. The exception is that I'm using the RMII interface and that I'm using the crystal oscillator as my clock source. Otherwise, the rest of the directions were not difficult to follow. On my board, jumper JP5 is set to pins 2 and 3 to allow the 50Mhz signal to be generated by the pin PC8.My application builds and uploads to the evaluation board. I can also run it, but when I try to ping the address given in the linked setup, I always get "Host Unreachable" (ping 192.168.1.10) or when using "netcat –ul 55151" I get service "-ul unkown". 192.168.1.10 is what I set the IP address to under the LWIP settings and disabled DHCP as instructed. I also statically set the IP address of my laptop t
