Currently, questions are going in the Interface and connectivity ICs forum, but there don't seem to be any suitable labels:I don't think 'Low Power RF Solutions' really covers it?The Product Page on the main website comes under 'Wireless connectivity > Long range > NB-IoT products':So I guess that would be a good set of labels?

Hi Folks, I'm working on pattern generation on GPIO pins and I've done it successfully using bare-metal programming approach. I used TIM1 to trigger DMA2 to take data from a buffer and send it GPIOA->BSRR.  But when I try to change the timer from TIM1 to TIM2 and change the respective DMA stream, the same code does not work. code:   uint32_t signal1[6]; //pattern no included // Enable clocks for GPIOA, TIM2, and DMA1 RCC->AHB1ENR |= RCC_AHB1ENR_GPIOAEN; RCC->APB1ENR |= RCC_APB1ENR_TIM2EN; RCC->AHB1ENR |= RCC_AHB1ENR_DMA1EN; // Configure GPIOA Pins 0-5 as output GPIOA->MODER &= ~0x00000FFF; // Clear mode for PA0-PA5 GPIOA->MODER |= 0x00000555; // Set PA0-PA5 as General Purpose Output // Configure TIM2 for DMA requests on update event TIM2->PSC = 0; // Set prescaler to 0 TIM2->ARR = 999; // Set auto-reload value (adjust for timing) TIM2->DIER |= TIM_DIER_UDE; // Enable update DMA request TIM2->CR1 |= TIM_CR1_CEN; // Enable TIM2 // Configure

Hello,Using a NUCLEO H7S3L8, I'm trying to run a test where, using circular DMA with a linked list, I'm trying to send a buffer in memory over to the SAI for audio playback, using an external DAC. This configuration is based on either other tutorials or the reference manual, but it always throws a User Error flag and calls the DMA's IRQ handler, right after the HAL_DMAEx_List_Start_IT() call (whether done on its own after the necessary configuration, or as part of HAL_SAI_Transmit_DMA()). Even with some changes, it always yields the same results. The only one that seemed to have any effect was setting the Transfer Event mode to trigger the TC flag for each linked list item, which confirmed that a transfer might have been completed, despite the error flag.I have also seen GPDMA being configured with circular, using both Standard Request Mode and a Linked List, but haven't gotten any success out of that myself (with even TC flag not being raised). In case it causes any comp

Hi all,I'm unable to install Cube IDE under W10.I tried to play with permissions/administrator/... I always get an error:NSIS error : Error launching installer. All other items (CubeMX, Programmer, Monitor ) were installed without any problem. Thanks for help.

I am working with the X-NUCLEO-NFC04A1 expansion board (based on the ST25DV04K) and I have some questions regarding the Energy Harvesting (EH) capabilities. My Setup:Hardware: X-NUCLEO-NFC04A1 connected to a host MCU. Observation: When measuring the V_EH pin directly, I see a very low continuous current (in the 0.3µA range), which seems insufficient to drive my target peripheral directly. My goal: I am trying to trigger an external circuit that requires approximately 7 mA for a period of a few ms. I understand that the ST25DV cannot supply this current continuously, but I have seen applications that use a reservoir capacitor to obtain high pulse charges that can be used to trigger the system. My questions:Is the low DC current at V_EH normal? Was the V_EH pin designed strictly to slowly charge a capacitor, rather than directly drive a load?Is it possible to increase the EH current? In addition to optimizing the antenna adjustment and coupling distance, is there any setting in t

Hello,We are experiencing corruption of our external IS66WVO32M8 PSRAM while executing x-cube-ai generated code on target device STM32U585AIIxQ. This corruption happens consistently when running the model (i.e. running the ai_*_run() generated function), but cannot be replicated outside of it. Please see the issue description below. ContextWe are using the STMicroelectronics.X-CUBE-AI package version 10.2.0 (STM32CubeMX version 6.16) running the .a static library generated by the cubemx tool on our STM32U585AIIxQ target. This is a Keras neural network that has been successfully analyzed and "validated on desktop" using the tools provided through the cubemx X-CUBE-AI gui. The model requires 1.5MB of RAM, and for this we have an external PSRAM device (IS66WVO32M8DALL ISSI Octal PSRAM). Everything is apparently configured correctly, and we are able to initialize the model and run the inference using the interface provided at X-CUBE-AI/App/app_x-cube-ai.c/h in the generated code.

I am currently performing the bring-up of a custom PCBA using the STM32H755ZIT3.My design is intended to use the Internal LDO only, bypassing the SMPS to reduce component count (i.e. one less inductor in my layout). Here's few details about the MCU power section of my SCH (also, please check attached capture):SMPS Pins: As per the Reference Manual for "LDO-only" mode, I have grounded VFBBSMPS, VSSSMPS and VDDSMPS, whereas VLXSMPS is floating.VCORE/VCAP: I have placed the required 2.2uF decoupling capacitors on VCAP_1, VCAP_2, and VCAP_3. No external inductor is present on the layout. What I'm observing is that at power-on, VCORE remains at 0V. Consequently, the target is not detected by the ST-LINK. If I instead "jumpstart" the board by applying an external 1.2V to the VCAP nodes, the MCU becomes reachable via SWD, and I can successfully modify registers. I suspect a conflict between my hardware layout and the factory default reset value of the PWR_CR3

Dear ST Support Team,I am working on a reliability calculation for an industrial hardware design. I need the official failure rate data for the following components:STM32C092GCU6: FMEDA report and FIT rates LIS2HH12TR: Reliability report and FIT rates at 85°C.These values are required to calculate the system's MTTFd and MTBF according to ISO 13849-1.Could you please provide the available documentation for these parts?Best regards,

Hello,How do I enable 8MB external SPI Flash on the WBA65+RVA15MD using TouchGFX Designer? Thanks.

I am using the STM32G474 in STM32CubeIDE with the built-in CubeMx environment. MX_DAC1_Init() to setup the DAC1_Ch1. Internal VREF+ is 2.9V. When it is buffered DAC, I get output very close to 2.9V at max(4095). However if i switch to unbuffered mode, the output is only 1.4+V(about half of 2.9V) at max setting of 4095. There was no mention in the reference manual RM0440 about the change in gain for buffered or unbuffered DAC. Is this normal?

Hello guys,I am using the STEVAL-MKPRO BOX, i want to use MLC with this box. For that i tried to log data(Accelerometer data) with BLE Sensor application. The data is stored inside the micro SD . I connected the SD card to my computer and saw that  it was a .dat file. I tried to convert it into a format which is compatible with ST Mems studio with stdatalog_to_unico.py in the stdatalog-pysdk but it is not working  .I also tried using the nb_stdatalog_converters.ipynb under how_to_notebooks section but literally only the cell with conversion to unico was not working, all the other cells were working. What can i do ?Thank you in advance

Hi,  I am currently reviewing the use of the STPM066S. According to the documentation, it seems that one-time programming is required before voltage output is enabled. As I understand it, once the OTP region is written, the change is irreversible. I have ordered the STPM066S evaluation board and some spare ICs. My First question is: after programming and testing the initial settings, if I want to change the settings and test again, do I need to replace the IC with a new one each time? Or is there any way to reprogram or modify the OTP settings after the initial programming?   Second question, There is a RSV TM bit in SPI MOSI data frame( DI[22] : Test Mode Flag). What is it? What can i test with this bit? Can i test OTP area with this bit?   Last question,  There is a section labeled "(programming)" under the OTP reg. Could you please clarify what this means?

I'm trying to read a NTC temperature sensor, but the readings I'm getting are very inconsistent and at times just way off.  I have nucleo on the way but this testing I'm doing is on a blue pill.The sensor is sitting in a cup of water, so temperature should be very consistent.  Here is the readings I'm getting which are done at 1 second intervals, I don't need speed.  The temperature of the water is about 21C.  The sensor accuracy is rated +/- 1.4C at 25CTemp k: 293. c: 20.8Temp k: 293. c: 20.7Temp k: 294. c: 21.2Temp k: 292. c: 19.5Temp k: 307. c: 34.1Temp k: 295. c: 22.3Temp k: 294. c: 20.8Temp k: 293. c: 20.7Temp k: 294. c: 21.5Temp k: 293. c: 20.7Temp k: 294. c: 21.3Temp k: 294. c: 21.4Temp k: 293. c: 20.8Temp k: 293. c: 20.5Temp k: 294. c: 21.1Temp k: 292. c: 19.7Temp k: 266. c: -6.5Temp k: 293. c: 20.5Temp k: 293. c: 20.8Temp k: 291. c: 18.8Temp k: 266. c: -7.1Temp k: 293. c: 20.6Temp k: 294. c: 21.3Temp k: 294. c: 21.3Temp k: 293. c: 20.6Temp k: 294. c: 20.9At

Dear Sir/Madam,I am currently using a Nucleo development board to perform trials with the VL53L4CD ToF sensor.I have a question regarding the sensor’s performance in the near field range of approximately 1 to 15 cm. During testing, I positioned a matte white reference object at around 10 cm. In the data log files, I frequently observe NaN values in the measurements. However, in the GUI, a distance value is always displayed, which may possibly be interpolated.I have attached a figure from my data log showing the measurements with the reference object at approximately 10 cm.- Is this a known issue? Additionally, are there recommended methods or configuration settings to improve data quality at short distances?- What would be considered a proper or expected signal rate for this sensor? Is there a recommended range to strive for in order to ensure reliable measurements?Thank you in advance for your support.Kind regards,Jort

I have not been able to find any documentation on how to use the StellarStudio tool. Does any publicly exist, or does this need to be supplied by an FAE? Thanks.

Hello,we are using VL6180X and VL53L4CD sensors in an outdoor setup and we have issues with sunlight (even reflected light). To improve sunlight rejection, we added Thorlabs bandpass filters:FBH850-10 for VL6180X (850 nm)FBH940-10 for VL53L4CD (940 nm)Both filters are 2 mm thick. The filter is placed ~1 mm in front of the sensor window. We have four identical sensors per type; only one has the filter.Observations:Sensors without filter measure correctly (e.g. 143 mm → 143 mm, 70 mm → 70 mm).The sensor with the filter almost always reports a short distance (~20–30 mm).Even when the real target distance changes significantly, the filtered sensor reading remains almost constant. This looks like strong optical crosstalk rather than noise.Questions:Is a 2 mm interference filter likely to introduce severe crosstalk?Could the 1 mm air gap be the main cause?Would a much thinner IR-pass filter be more appropriate? Can the crosstalk calibration compensate for this configuration?Any guidance on proper

Hi everyone,I’ve successfully created and imported a CMake-based project for the STM32F777NIH in STM32CubeIDE 2.0.0. The project builds and compiles without any issues. However, the IDE cannot properly resolve headers, some macros, variables, and some struct definitions. To fix this, I enabled:set(CMAKE_EXPORT_COMPILE_COMMANDS TRUE)in my top-level CMakeLists.txt, which correctly generates a compile_commands.json.In CubeIDE, I also enabled C/C++ General → Preprocessor Include Paths, Macros etc. → Providers → Compilation Database Parser, and pointed it to the generated compile_commands.json (AN5952).But CubeIDE shows:Invalid build parserAnd the error log contains:“Compilation database parser does not have a build command parser configured.”So it seems CubeIDE refuses to use the compilation database to resolve include paths, even though the file exists and is valid. Is there any known workaround to allow STM32CubeIDE to consume compile_commands.json for indexing?Or any other reliable

Hello community,I just wanted to know whether you know of a clock tree wizard for SPC58xE.I read in one post some years ago that there is no clock tree wizard for SPC58XE, but is there still none?Is there any possibility to visualize the clock connections? Kind regards Tkorn
