Dear All,I would like to confirm that two M24C04-F, one in a DNF5 package and one in a FDFPN8 cannot be used together on the same bus. Is that correct? To provide some background, we are using M24C04-F DNF5 but there is a need to add another EEPROM on the same bus. Adding UFDFPN8 device with accessible E1,E2 pins should allow us to add another EEPROM with a different address, however, we found out that the DNF5 variant actually responds to multiple I2C addresses, not just 0x50/0x51 as defined in the DS.The DS states that the pins E1, E2 aren't accessible but E1, E2 bits must always be set to logic 0 for proper communication with the DNF5 variant. However, it also states that "No other I2C device using address 1010 xxxx (x = don't care) can be connected to the same bus."I assumed that the E1,E2 are set to 0 internally in the DNF5 variant but it seems more like they aren't checked during addressing. Can someone from ST provide the reason for this?
Hello, the NFC reader I use is ST25R100. My card is Mifare Desfire EV2. Does it support it?My configs are like this, but it doesn't read the uid. It reads the NFCA type correctly.
STM32CubeIde 1.19.0STM32Cube_FW_N6_V1.2.0RTSP Client: FFPLAY I've been evaluating the VENC_RTSP_Server example for a little while as a starting point for a potential video streaming application. Unfortunately, the example does not produce a stable stream. The stream was unstable prior to FW v1.20 as well, but a new check and message was added in FW v1.20 (MSG: "Video Overflow - Skip Frame") that seems to point to the bottleneck being on the encoding side somewhere and not the network side. I'll detail some of the issues here. Some of these issues address quality problems and may or may not help this performance, but others do affect it. I'm also certainly open to the possibility that my analysis could be wrong in some cases as I haven't had much time working with this part and the STM32Cube tools. File: Appli/Src/main.c Issue #1: A) The PLL2 configuration in SystemClock_Config() is invalid according to STM32CubeMX or at least it will not allow this configurati
Hi everyone, I'm working on a dual motor setup using an STM32F303 with the STM32 Motor Control SDK (MCSDK). I'm using FOC with Hall sensors and 3-shunt current sensing. The project is configured with MC Workbench and controlled via ST Motor Pilot. I’m trying to track the position of Motor 1 using the following code inside the Hall sensor interrupt handler:rotation_count_M1 -= pHandle->Direction * SenseMoteurM1; This works fine when only one motor is connected. However, when both motors are active, the function __weak void *HALL_TIMx_CC_IRQHandler(void *pHandleVoid) is called for both motors, and the position count becomes incorrect — which makes sense, since I can't tell which motor triggered the interrupt.I tried something like:if (pHandle == "HALL_M1") { ... }But of course, that doesn’t work because pHandle is a pointer, not a string. My question is:What is the proper way to identify whether pHandle corresponds to Motor 1 or Motor 2 inside this interrupt handler? Is
Able to generate a code (446+IHM08M1) and spin the BLDC motor. Configured a serial port in my generated code with 19200 Baud Rate.Want to monitor all the parameters using ST Motor Pilot. How to make use of the ST Motor Pilot?Does it Auto detect the Hardware or we have to manually feed?
We are using a custom board with STM32MP257F using M33TD flavour, booting from QSPI SNOR. My understanding is that when reset is released, the processor runs some on-chip ROM code, which copies the FSBL from external NV storage into some on-chip RAM and then executes it in RAM. My questions are What is the default offset in the external device that the BOOT ROM code looks for the FSBL (I assume 0x00000000) Is it possible to override this by some mechanism to use another address higher in memory?
I would like to identify the following two diodes, please.
Hi,I'm configuring MicroROS on the STM32F767ZI, but I want to set up a connection with the MicroROS agent using the Ethernet connection on the Nucleo F767ZI board.I followed the guide at this link (see section UDP https://github.com/micro-ROS/micro_ros_stm32cubemx_utils/tree/jazzy?tab=readme-ov-file#udp but I'm having trouble fixing main.c.I understand that I need to enable ETH and LWIP, but I can't fix main.c using the sample_main_udp.c and sample_main_embeddedrtps.c files. I'm attaching the project so you can see the files.Note: I started by configuring usart3 and then regenerated the code, excluding usart3, adding ETH, and configuring LWIP in the middleware.
Hello everyone, I am writing in regards to a question I have about the STEVAL-FCU001V2 board. Is it compatible with a fully automated solution (simple trajectories and paths) ? And if so how would one implement these solutions ? Thanks in advance, A team of students.
I have a Flash Full test failed issue with the STM32F427 ClassB library V4.0.0 code in Keil project. The project is generated from the STM32F446RE-Nucleo examples. Attached please find my scatter file and the post-build command batch file. (I have tested the official CubeIDE project and it can pass the Flash Full test and also the runtime partial flash test.) Hello,I’m using an STM32F429I-Discovery board with an MT9M001 camera module, trying to display the camera image on the board’s built-in LCD.However, I found that the following pins conflict between the DCMI and LTDC functions (please correct me if I misread the pin mapping):PA4: DCMI_HSYNC vs LTDC_VSYNCPA6: DCMI_PIXCLK vs LTDC_G2PC7: DCMI_D1 vs LTDC_G6PB8: I2C1_SCL vs LTDC_B6PB9: I2C1_SDA vs LTDC_B7In this situation, what is the typical way to handle such pin conflicts?Would it be necessary to change the board or the camera module?Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance.
Hello All,We need to interface to a 2-lane MIPI DSI display with resolution of 1280 x 720 and looking for all possible solutions !Does anyone know if any of the STM32 series is capable of supporting and driving such a display and, if so, which ones please ?
I’m using the EVSPIN32G4 dual motor control board with MotorControl Workbench 6.4.1 in Sensorless FOC mode. Both motors have identical configurations, but Motor 2 doesn’t rotate when using Workbench 6.4.1.The same setup works perfectly in Workbench 6.3.2, where both motors run normally.Hardware and wiring are fine — this seems to be a software or code-generation issue in Workbench 6.4.1 for dual-motor projects. Can you please confirm if this is a known issue or regression in version 6.4.1, and suggest a fix or workaround?Setup Summary:Board: EVSPIN32G4Mode: Sensorless FOC, Dual MotorMC Workbench: 6.4.1 (issue), 6.3.2 (working)IDE: STM32CubeIDE 1.19.0
Hello, I want to use LTDC on the STM32H743VIT6 microcontroller, but when I enable this peripheral in CUBEMX, it does not activate correctly. For example, the pins for B are from B3-B7, while they should be from B0-B4, and the same goes for R, G.

This software has too many bugs. Could the developers please look into the main issues? 1. If the downloader fails to connect, it spams dozens of error messages. 2. Frequent freezing, primarily when the downloader fails to connect—the software gets stuck and can't even be closed, which severely impacts usability.
Hello, I bought STM32H743XIH6 board and first tried to program it with FTDI programmer and STM32CubeProgrammer. It looks like the serial interface detects the board correctly as I can see it in the STM32CubeProgrammer but fails at a read attempt of 0x080000000 address with error message like "error occured during read at address 0x08000". Next, I read that I need ST-LINK to over come UART problem so I did. I'm designing a circuit to convert sensor values to ADC using the STM32U073MC (LQFP-80).Unfortunately, I'm new to the STM32U0 series.I read the RM0503(Rev 4) Reference manual(page 427) and found that the OPAMP1_VOUT can be connected to ADC1_IN8.However, I checked the datasheet's(DS14548 - Rev 2 - March 2024) port table(page 32/Table 12. STM32U073x8/B/C pin/ball definition) and it seems to be connected to ADC1_IN7.1. Which information is correct? (ADC1_IN7 or ADC1_IN8)2. Also, could you briefly explain how to make the desired connection using CubeMX provided by ST? - I wish configure VM_SEL bits as “inverting not externally connected” with CubeMX.
Are there any C++ Dual Core demos/examples/instructions for using the SPC58EG (or any SPC58 examples) for configuring, initializing and executing?
Hi, we are designing a product around the STM32WB5MMGH6TR but cannot find a full datasheet. On the product page we can find what is described as a datasheet (main purple download button at the top) but is only a 37 pages "technical brochure" that does not show the current consumption in various modes, nor many technical parameters. There are plenty other documents but none of them show the current consumption nor all the technical specs and details you normally get from an MCU datasheet.Where can I find a full datasheet showing the all current consumption data?Thank youRick
I configured FREERTOS on my STM32FT67ZI card with a USART3 device. I started the microROS agent on my PC but the connection is not created and it gives me this message: run micro_ros_agent micro_ros_agent serial --dev /dev/ttyACM2 -b 115200 [1762814038.235435] info | TermiosAgentLinux.cpp | init | running... | fd: 14 [1762814038.236035] info | Root.cpp | set_verbose_level | logger setup | verbose_level: 4 What could it be?If I search for the topic, it doesn't bring up any results. How can I tell if the problem is on the card or the PC? I'm connected to the ST-Link USB cable.
Hi,I’m working on benchmarking and deploying a 33 MB half-INT8 model. During benchmarking, the measured inference time in ST dev cloud was about 264 ms. However, after compiling the model locally using STEdgeAI and deploying it, the inference time was found to be 405 ms.Additionally, when using the “Generate Code” option in the ST Dev Cloud, the generated artifacts—when deployed—showed the same inference time of 405 ms.I have verified that the weight and activation memory allocations are consistent with those used in the ST Dev Cloud (please refer to the attached logs).Could you please confirm whether this difference in inference time is expected, or if there is a known delta that should be addressed?logs:ST Dev cloud:>>> stedgeai analyze --model arcface_halfint8.tflite --st-neural-art custom@/tmp/stm32ai_service/7369b431-60e1-4924-9783-5f76cbd6b229/profile-27ac5fbe-1304-4c95-9d4e-44268ad9580f.json --target stm32n6 --optimize.export_hybrid True --name network --works

Hello, when enabling DMA for a Timer channel in PWM mode, the transfer direction is set to Memory to Peripheral. This s very questionnable. Is it a deliberate choice or a bug?It does not make sense to select Peripheral to Memory for the DMA channel as it is used to wrtie to the device.I fell in the trap several time, wasting time to look up for an issue in my code...Very boring.STM32 device is STM32F429, CubeIDE version 1.19.0 (same problem with all versions since I started using CubeIDE a couple of years before.)
