Hi, This webpage suggests that STM can offer ceramic packages for their IMU modules. How would I go about requesting or getting a quote for a ceramic package version of any particular IMU module? thanks
Hello everyone,This is my first post on the platform, so please bear with me.I would like to write raw data to an SD card very quickly. After quite a bit of research, I decided to use SDMMC with MDMA, and I want to write directly to the SD card blocks to avoid latency associated with the FATFS overlay.Apart from an old post that explains how to configure MDMA and link it to SDMMC, I haven't found any concrete examples of a function that allows reading and writing to the SD card.Could you give me a simple example of writing and reading to use MDMA with SDMMC to write to the SD card, or point me to existing projects or examples that I may have missed? Thanks in advance.
I have to dump my GUI made by using Qt framework on STMF769I-Discovery board on baremetal. If anyone has any baremetal sample implementation for the mentioned then kindly share the sample code with me email: binayak.d@coreel.com
I have a ioc file created with Version 1.18.1, that enables only the OCTOSPI2 (and some RCC and clock settings).Importing this file (see attachmend) the OCTOSPI2 gets disabled, further more it is non longer possibile to re-enable it as QUAD-SPI!If added with out migration the IOC it is working as before.

If your product embeds Debug Authentication, please perform a discovery using Debug AuthenticationI tried connecting the board using the STM32CubeProgrammer and while the board is recognized correctly by ST-LINK (the serial number shows up) I still cannot connect the board because of the same error. When the issues started to occur, I was using my board normally with the usual code running when the board suddenly stopped providing power to the pins; I was using the board to power an external device using the 5 V pin, but my meter only measures about 1 V across the 5 V pin and GND and 200 mV across 3.3 V and GND.Connecting the board still shows bicolor LED blinking and the LED 4
Hello everyone,I’m currently working with the STM32WL55 and using the Ping-Pong example as a reference for my application. The example is great and helps me understand how the process scheduling works, but I want to modify it to transmit ADC data. The issue is that I cannot use the ADC properly within the example as it is. I would like to know if it’s compatible to integrate ADC readings (single-shot or interrupt-based) with this Ping-Pong structure, and what the best approach would be to read the ADC values and send them over UART or another interface without blocking the main loop or interfering with the Sub-GHz radio.Any advice or examples of integrating ADC acquisition into this Ping-Pong example would be greatly appreciated.Thank you!
I'm trying to port a proprietary code that is designed for another STM32H753 plateform, to a STM32H753-EVAL board. My code remains stuck waiting for HSERDY bit.The setup I am doing looks identical to STM32CubeHW example but I guess I forgot something: - set LDOEN in PWR_CR3 register and wait for ACTVOSRDY- set voltage scaling to VOS1 (bits 14 and 15 in PWR_D3CR register) and wait for VOSRDY- set bit HSEON and wait for HSERDY -> bit is never set I setup the eval board JP10 to be powered up through the jack (external power supply) If I power the board through STLink, I have no issue. Am I missing anything ?
Hello,If DCMIPP parallel mode is selected then CubeMX do not generate HAL_DCMIPP_MspInit function to initialize and enable DCMIPP CLK, pinout, IRQ, there is only weak empty declaration in stm32n6xx_hal_dcmipp.c, without initialization settings nothing works...I do not checked other modes.
I pulled down the latest CubeMX (v6.15.0) to do a parametric search for a new part. Needing > 70 GPIOs and USB device function but not much else, I narrowed in on the STM32G0B1 series. When I start CubeMX, I'm told there are 4801 items in the parts list, When I filter on "STM32G0B1", that drops to 103 items. However... if I then filter on either "USB FS" or "USB Type-C", that number drops to 97 parts. I exported a before and after and diffed the lists, and found that the 7 parts that fell out of the list were all STM32G0B1VE parts. The 'VB (128K flash) and 'VC (256K flash) parts were in both lists, only the 'VE (512K flash) parts appeared to lack the "USB FS" and "USB Type-C" attributes. This is a mistake, correct? The 'VE parts have all the same peripheral features as the 'VB and 'VC parts, yes?Dana M.
I want to use N657B0 to drive VD55G0, and the camera side can already enter the Stream state. After I use the function HAL_DCMIPP_CSI_PIPE_Start, I track the variable csi_instance through single-step debugging and find that several bits in its SR1 register are inconsistent with the normal state. And I find the defination about these. The normal state is 1 but I get 0.Could you please tell me what the reason for this might be? Is the issue caused by a voltage supply problem in the hardware connection, or by inadequate rate matching in the port?
I have a STM32U595 and I use the RTC in binary mode.If an SSR underflow occurs during Vbat mode, will the SSRUF be set so after power recovery I can manage the interrupt ?
The AutoDevKit ecosystem can now count on a new compact size BMS node and node with transceiver board to match the production form factor when mounted on a real battery pack.Check-out AEK-POW-BMSCC https://lnkd.in/dA8vtr76and AEK-POW-BMSCCTX https://lnkd.in/dxKS_WvV🤩
Hi Team,I am trying to communicate with my bms using raspberry pi.I am using 8 cells in series connected to AEK-POW-BMSCCTX from C0 to C8 (from cell taps-P1 connecter). From the P4 side VIO-3V, Vdd- 5v, GND. I have also connected the MISO,MOSI,CS and CLK of the pi with corresponding pins in bms. Also TXEN-high, DIS-low, BNE-low.Using this run a sample Spi code and there is no correct reply. I just need to know is this connections correct? any extra connections do i have to do?Also after connections, D9,D8 and D2 leds of my bms is light up. When spi is activated D7 led should blink but not in my setup. I hope i get this problem solved.Hardware we’re using now1× AEK-POW-BMSCCTX (one node powered with 8 cells for bring-up).Raspberry Pi with /dev/spidev0.0 enabled.Cell stack: C0..C8 populated (8 cells ≈ 26 V).Two GND_EXT pins tied to pack negative as per BMS hold manual.Actual wiring (current)P1 (cells)C0–C8 → 8 cell taps (≈ 26 V total)GND_EXT(×2) → pack negativeP4 (logic, to Raspberry Pi)
Spoiler (Highlight to read) Hi,I created a TouchGFX project for the STM32MP135F-DK board. When compiling the project, the error listed below appeared. Despite the error, I was able to load and debug the application on the board using the same procedure applied to any example running on DDR memory.I verified that "the application binary file 'STM32MP135F-DK.stm32'" was not generated in the folder: Project Folder>\Binary\apps\STM32MP135F-DK.stm32 as per the link:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_install_X-TouchGFX_MPU_AddonI am using a computer running Windows 11, is it necessary to install any additional software to generate this file? make -j12 all arm-none-eabi-size STM32MP135F-DK.elf text data bss dec hex filename530448 785264 134112 1449824 161f60 STM32MP135F-DK.elfFinished building: default.size.stdout ../../Utilities/ImageHeader/postbuild_STM32MP13.sh "C:\ST\STM32CubeIDE_1.18.1\STM32CubeIDE\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for
Hello guys!I am trying to configure U-Boot on a stm32mp257f-dk board so that I can use the “ums” command with SuperSpeed. After configuring the device tree, I managed to configure the usb3dr as usb3(as it says in the debug printf written on the terminal after calling the command). After doing this and running the “ums” command, in the console I get an error message saying “Cannot get PHY1 for usb@48300000”. After a little bit of research, I could not find a combophy driver in the U-Boot source code. Fast forward, I managed to do a configuration for the COMBOPHY(porting it from the linux driver), and it does not return any error. The command works now but it falls back silently from SuperSpeed to HighSpeed. My question is, even if the COMBOPHY is configured properly in U-Boot, is the dwc3-generic U-Boot driver capable of configuring the USB3DR peripheral to do the handshake for SuperSpeed?I managed to verify the SuperSpeed in Linux so there isn't any Hardware problem rela
Hello, I am trying to figure out if disabling the Offset Cancellation on the LSM303AGR would impact the wake up trigger mechanism. From what I could find, the LSM303AGR is an AMR sensor that uses the magneto-resistant property of a film to change its resistance based on the value of an external field. However, a constant bias is present due to imperfections of the sensor and to remove those, a set and reset of the film is performed to create a uniform direction of the resistive elements. When the set and reset functionality is disabled, the film particles will point to arbitrary directions. This bias is similar to a hard-iron offset that will shift the center of the magnetic sphere, however the sensor imperfections bias can drift with time and temperature. The trigger mechanism that we are aiming for needs to wake up the MCU when the relative change in the magnetic field exceeds a threshold. So when the threshold includes this constant bias (which could be updated in
anyone know who to contact about an error in the datasheets? In the AN6109 (device application note) of the ISM330BX datasheet on page 65/107 in section 8.2 FIFO registers there are three line I believe have errors: – SFLP_GBIAS_FIFO_EN bit of the EMB_FUNC_FIFO_EN_B register in order to enable batching the gyroscope bias data in FIFO (the SFLP embedded function must be enabled)– SFLP_GRAVITY_FIFO_EN bit of the EMB_FUNC_FIFO_EN_B register in order to enable batching the gravity vector data in FIFO (the SFLP embedded function must be enabled)– SFLP_GAME_FIFO_EN bit of the EMB_FUNC_FIFO_EN_B register in order to enable batching the game rotation vector data in FIFO (the SFLP embedded function must be enabled) these three lines should say EMB_FUNC_FIFO_EN_A register not EMB_FUNC_FIFO_EN_B register. also, and this part I'm less sure about, on the same document on page 57/107 in section 6.5 Sensor fusion functions I think the "the specific configuration b

why more than one STM32 SPI Slave connect to master means More SS need ?
Hi,i need to modify the default debug uart serial in device tree of all the boot components (including u-boot, tf-a, optee etc) in stm32mp257f-ev1. I saw that external-dt_%.bb is fetching git://github.com/STMicroelectronics/dt-stm32mp.git and also EXTERNAL_DT is enabled by default, but i want to use my custom dt for the fial build by default instead of stm32mp257f-ev1.dtb.I want to add my custom dt with the custom name as default dtb used in all the component, im hoping for a solution for this to maintain all my dt at one place and modify. i have too many changes to make and i dont want to patch the stm32mp257f-ev1.dts in the kernel source tree. Hoping for a quick reply, thanks in advance.
I used STM32CubeIDE a long time ago but then switched to another IDE. Now for some reasons I try to use again STM32CubeIDE. I want to keep my build system (command line based on makefile and arm-none-gcc) and use the IDE only for debug. Environment is windows + STM32CubeIDE v1.10 (I know it's old but I am not admin of my machine).I created a "STM32 project" and linked it to my source directory tree then I went to Debug Configurations > STM32 C/C++ Applications > New configuration. The first problem I had is that it doesn"t find the project, so I had to browse directly for the .elfThen I disabled autobuildAnd I've got the message "unsupported build configurations, MCU ARM GCC required for debug". ARM-GCC was not included in this version of STM32CubeIDE ?Am I doing it wrong ?
I'm trying to debug TF-A BL2 on my stm32mp157f-dk2 kit 1. Memory card is setup. Partition 1&2 is copied with TF-A2. I'm expecting that if I connect a debugger, open a debug session with open OCD and gdb , I would be able to connect to the target3. I would set breakpoint at entry point of BL2 and reset the target by debugger.4. After reset I would be able to halt the CPU at entry point and then I go on with debugging.. Is this approach valid?Or it's not possible to debug TF-A with this method? I tried it and I find problems: 1. I can put breakpoint on bl2_main but it never hits.2. I can't reset and get the connection back by using stm32cubeide 3. Can't access the address 0x2ffcxxxx Can someone shed light on this topic?
Hi,i have a confusing problem, i have a simple routine to compute values and it needs to return the result as a double. just before the return the value is correct but the calling routine does not get passed this value. i know there can be some alignment issues with double variables. i am using STM32CubeIDE Ver 1.18.1 To overcome i simple create a global variable and assign this the right value and it all works. however why am i not able to return the double value?any help appreciated.Mark
ST moderator edited the title to give more visibility on the issue/subject Hello, I have a board with an STM32C092KCU6 where the main clock is using the HSI48 internal oscillator but I also have an 8MHz crystal for the HSE oscillator to use for FDCAN for higher precision. When the HSE is clocking just the FDCAN module the CAN does not work. I can get the CAN to work by using HSI48 as the FDCAN clock source. I can also get the CAN to work if I use HSE as the main clock (but it is too slow) or if I enable the clock output MCO2 with HSE as its source or also if I enable the RTC module and set HSE as its source. So it seems that the HSE oscillator will only work if it is being used on FDCAN + one other place. Osc for core CAN clk RTC clk MCO2 CAN working? HSI48 HSE - - No HSE HSE - - Yes HSI48 INT - - Yes HSI48 HSE HSE - Yes HSI48 HSE - HSE Yes HSI48 HSE - HSI48 No I first thought this was a gain margi
I am using STM32CubeMX in version 6.14.1 with STM32U585OIY6QTR selected.Trying to Setup VREFBUF Mode I can not set anything since it is greyed out.VREF should be supported by this MCU.
