Hello, Is there an official source listing all evaluation, discovery, or development boards based on STM32H5 MCUs? Thanks,Aymen
Greetings, I know how to solve it , but I do want to reseach on this issue. I use a nucleo's stlink (nucleo F070RB) to program a stm32g030k8tx. However, the target is only detected and, therefore programmed, when the external mcu is not on standby mode. Could it be becasue I do not use the NRST on the SWD? I just use Software Reset, instead. Thanks.
Hi allI'm pretty sure this was already a topic, but i haven't found a solution yet. Since i'm a beginner i definitely need some help here.I'm sending UDP data with LWIP and FreeRTOS. It works, but after some (random) time the code gets stuck at configASSERT( pxQueue->uxItemSize == 0 ); I tried some settings but nothing helps. It is stopping even if I do not send data . Any ideas? Cheers
Hi,I am in the middle of the project development based on STM32MP257FAK CPU. Originally we were using 8Gbit Micron chip (MT53E256M32D1) which became obsolete in the middle of the development, it even seems that most of the 8Gbit Micron chips are now obsolete. Now would like to understand why all the validated LPDDR4 memories in the wiki list are 2133MHz while the operating memory speed for STM32MP257 is 1200MHz?Are there any know issues with this memory for example from ISSI: IS43LQ32256A-062BLI? This is 1600MHz memory. Thanks!Alexey.
I have a Discovery board B-L072Z-LRWAN1 and I am trying to set up a project using CubeIDE but get the following, So I check to see if the L0 & LRWAN packages are in the repository, Yes, they're there. I click OK & Cube carries on setting itself up & up pops the ioc window. I press configure & generate & get some C code but the build option is greyed out. What am I missing here?
Hello! I am using an STM32U545 and VS Code for programming. I am experiencing the following issue: I am working with STOP mode, and once the MCU enters this state, I can no longer reprogram it. When using STM32CubeIDE, I did not encounter this problem (I believe this is related to the connect-under-reset feature, which VS Code seems to lack when programming). Is there anything I can do to avoid this issue, other than using STM32CubeProgrammer to erase the memory or adding a delay at the start of the program to give myself time to program the device after a manual reset?
We have a board with a stm32u5. were VDDIO are connected to 1.8 V and the I2C bus have pullup to 3.0 V. Some I2C devices uses 3.0 V logic levels and som 1.8 V. Between which voltage levels shall i measure the rise and falltime that i enter in cubemx. 30%->70% of 1.8 V or 3.0 V .We have possibility to turn off and on some devices on the bus that changes the rise and falltime on the bus. Shall then the longer or shorter rise/falltimes be used? One reason we are asking is that our design engineers wonder why the signal of the clock never is piece wise equal in on and off timing as it is the case with other I2C masters
Hi After the latest update, I can't download C Code from Edge Ai Developer Cloud, there are no boards in the list. fv
I have been working with a custom board using the STM32U073 for while, and have made a program that can active the USB system memory DFU. I updated CubeIDE to 2.0.0 (now CubeMX is separated) on MacOS. I started new project and want to set semihosting for debug. I did the configuration as I used to do in previous projects, but now when I try to run, I receive following error:Info : [STM32WB5MMGHx.cpu] Cortex-M4 r0p1 processor detectedInfo : [STM32WB5MMGHx.cpu] target has 6 breakpoints, 4 watchpointsInfo : [STM32WB5MMGHx.cpu] Examination succeedInfo : starting gdb server for STM32WB5MMGHx.cpu on 3333Info : Listening on port 3333 for gdb connectionssemihosting is enabledsemihosting fileio is enabledError: The 'gdb_report_data_abort' command must be used before 'init'.Below my configuration of OpenOCD: Where should I put the gdb_report_data_abort command?
Hello,I am experiencing a flash upload issue with STM32CubeIDE(v1.19.0).The MCU I am using is STM32C091GCU6 with 256 KB of internal Flash.I am currently developing code to display image (IMG) data on an LCD.The image data is stored in Flash, copied to SRAM using memcpy(), and then transmitted to the LCD via SPI DMA.From the MAP file, I can confirm both the Flash addresses of the image data and the SRAM copy destination. The relevant MAP file entries are shown below: .rodata.IMG_HORIZONTAL0x08004840 0xfd20 ./Core/Src/font.o0x08004840 IMG_HORIZONTAL.rodata.IMG_VERTICAL0x08014560 0xfd20 ./Core/Src/font.o0x08014560 IMG_VERTICALAfter this configuration, when I build and debug using STM32CubeIDE, the reported uploaded memory size is only 128 KB.Because my code accesses image data located above the 128 KB Flash boundary, a HardFault occurs when running under CubeIDE debug. However, when I take the same build output file and program it using STM32CubeProgrammer(v2.19.0), the firmware is cor
Hi everyone! I'm using an Arduino Portenta H7 (STM32H747) board mounted on a custom carrier board. I'm using STM32CubeIDE as a development environment, with HAL libraries for peripheral initialization.I'm only using the Portenta's M7 core. Portenta interfaces via GPIO to a parallel bus that drives both a display and other peripherals. I'm also using the RTC module for the system clock only, initialized at startup via HAL. Everything works fine until I try to set the RTC datetime using this function: void tm_wr(struct tm *_tm) { RTC_DateTypeDef sDate; RTC_TimeTypeDef sTime; if (_tm->tm_wday == 0) { sDate.WeekDay = 7; } else { sDate.WeekDay = _tm->tm_wday; } sDate.Month = (uint8_t)_tm->tm_mon + 1; sDate.Date = (uint8_t)_tm->tm_mday; sDate.Year = (uint16_t)(_tm->tm_year-100); HAL_RTC_SetDate(&hrtc, &sDate, RTC_FORMAT_BIN); sTime.Hours = (uint8_t)_tm->tm_hour; sTime.Minutes = (uint8_t)_tm->tm_min; sTime.Seconds = (uint8_t)_tm->tm_sec; HAL_RTC_SetTime(&

Hi there,I'm using an N6 with the latest version of IDE and MX with the FSBL/Appli dual project structure as per the FSBL LRUN template, and MX is incorrectly managing code. When using X-CUBE-FREERTOS in Application mode, code generation and cleanup is buggy. I've attached a FreeMarker template error generated WITHIN app_freertos.cWhen removing FreeRTOS from the project, MX fails to remove void MX_FREERTOS_Init(void); and MX_FREERTOS_Init(); from main.c. It also doesn't remove the head app_freertos.h and FreeRTOSConfig.h header files, but does remove the source file. I get the following compiler error:make[1]: *** No rule to make target '/Users/h7/STM32CubeIDE/workspace_1.16.1/N6Project/Appli/Src/app_freertos.c', needed by 'Application/User/app_freertos.o'. Stop.I'm also finding that the files that I have added to the build exclusion list in libraries that I've included in Middlewares/Third_Party are being reset. After a code generation, those files that MX should not be touc
I enabled the bonding feature in STM32WB5MMGH6TR.Bonding is working correctly. But when the device(STM32WB) is bonded to phone(Android 15), calling disconnect from the phone does not disconnect the device. This problem does not occur when:-1. Phone Android version is less than 15(even after bonding it can disconnect).2. Device is not bonded to the phone(Android 15).
It is getting hang at this point, going to infinite loop MCU: STM32F407SPI1 InterfaceTried ST25R_SELFTEST as well same problem
Hello,I have observed this issue in version 6.16.1 across several MCU series (F3, F4, H5, H7), though it appears likely that all earlier versions are affected. The generated .cmake toolchain files incorrectly treat the --specs=nano.specs option as linker-only. This option should be applied globally, as it also affects the system include paths used during compilation. Specifically, it causes the compiler to include arm-none-eabi/include/newlib-nano/newlib.h instead of the standard arm-none-eabi/include/newlib.h.While this mismatch probably does not break ABI compatibility—since the structures provided from the standard headers are larger than those used in the compiled newlib-nano library—it does negate the RAM usage benefits of newlib-nano. This is particularly problematic when using the USE_NEWLIB_REENTRANT FreeRTOS option.Regards,Peter
So here is the outline of my code. I'm getting data every 5 seconds (example data: "vref:2975.12, voltage_max:30.00, voltage_min:-1219.00,avg_error: 4136.04") via UART and i transmit it again to view it in putty via ST Link (USART3). Problem is some of the data is getting corrupted, i'm attaching the Putty terminal output. I have verified the input, using logic analyzer and it's correct. Here is the code, can you help me identify what i might be doing wrong/* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * Copyright (c) 2026 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved. * * This software is licensed under terms that can be found in the LICENSE file * in the root directory of this software component. * If no LICENSE file comes with this software, it is provided AS-IS. * **
Hi, using STM32 Cube Programmer and STM32 Trusted Package Creator W2.21, I was unable to detect the HSM card, getting error 0x88000002. I had to downgrade to V2.14, as mentionned in several posts to get it detected successfully.I use HID Omnikey 3121 reader.Any solution to be able to use last version 2.21 and HSM card ?
I am using the above 2 EVAL boards from ST. I am trying to get the video pipeline going to the point that I do receive the images in memory and the appropriate frame based interrupts are triggered to verify. I have tooled my code for minimal application and it fails. I have started with ST provided x-cube-n6-ai-h264-usb-uvc reference and am using the STM32Cube_FW_N6_V1.3.0 SDK provided. I am using the STMCubeIDE for development. From the terse documentation/information it seems that the 2 EVALs procured should be compatible. However, as mentioned in the other post: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-boards-and-hardware/stm32n6-fpc-camera/m-p/755889 , I have found the hard way that the sensor MIPI lane polarities are flipped. i.e. Dx_P and Dx_N from the sensor to the Nucleo Eval.Q1. I have looked through the documentation and have no indication of the MIPI PHY being able to be configured to flip the polarities on the signals. Is this true?Anyways, I have managed to fli
Hi,It seems that some of my measurements (in a green jojo tank) are resulting in a `VL53L4CX_RANGESTATUS_OUTOFBOUNDS_FAIL` error. The measurement itself seems to still be correct as the tank is empty, and the result is around 1800mm.I check the documentation and i don't really see an explanation for this error. It says things are 'out of bounds' but does that simply mean there's not enough reflection?I've taken this sensor because it would do up to 4m, so i'm wondering what i'm doing wrong :)
I am using Motor Pilot 6.4.1 Profiler and noticed that there is no "Start Hall Profiling" option available.Could you please confirm if this feature has been removed or if it is located elsewhere?Best regardsPelino
Hello ST Community,I am working with NUCLEO-WBA55CG and encountering a startup issue when using the BLE_p2pServerThreadX example from STM32CubeWBA v1.8.0.EnvironmentBoard: NUCLEO-WBA55CGMCU: STM32WBA55 (single-core Cortex-M33)SDK: STM32CubeWBA v1.8.0RTOS: Azure RTOS ThreadXExample: BLE_p2pServerThreadXIDE / Toolchain: IAR Embedded Workbench 9.60Debugger: ST-LINK (on-board)Problem DescriptionAfter programming the firmware to the board::cross_mark: On cold power-on (Power-On Reset), the application does not start:white_heavy_check_mark: After pressing the RESET button, the application runs normallyThe issue is 100% reproducibleBLE advertising starts correctly only after a manual reset, not after initial power-up. Hello,I am currently working on a project with an HTTP server, successfully implemented using FreeRTOS. In this setup, I handle client requests for opening and collecting data from the client side. However, since I need to display real-time data on a web page (for an IoT application), it has become necessary to implement the WebSocket protocol.I am looking to implement a WebSocket server on my STM32f746G-DISCO. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find any working examples of WebSocket implementation on STM32.Could you kindly point me in the direction of any relevant examples or provide some guidance on how to get started with this? Also, I would appreciate any insights regarding whether I need to modify my CubeMX configuration when implementing WebSocket, or if the standard initialization is sufficient — enabling ETH, activating lwIP (httpd) without DHCP, and activating FreeRTOS with the default task where the following initialization is done:MX_LWIP_Init();http_server_init();Any he
HiI've been struggling trying to get an Image from a Image sensor over DCMI via the GPDMA on an STM32U575.The image sensor has a resolution of 752*480, though I only want to capture 420*420, which I've configured on the sensor to output. I've also configured it to output a B&W image meaning I only get one byte per pixel.I've used the DCMI_ContinousCap_EmbeddedSychMode example as the basis for my code, though I'm not using an omnivision sensor so I've swapped out the configuration for one required for my image sensor. However, for the most part, I have not modified the GPDMA or linked list settings from this example, just the I2C comms (swapped to SPI) and DCMI to external synchro, and DCMI polarities to match my image sensors output.when I try to pull a full image in one DMA transfer, I get an overflow error after only receiving half the image (88200 bytes). When I make the image size 360*360 I get the full image just fine (129600 bytes).I did try splitting this into 3 requests of
