Hi all,I was super exited to test the new STUSB4531 IC on the EVAL-SCS006V1.The PPS support of the chip is the main reason to pass over from the STUSB4500. I have done a lot of test with 100W PPS enabled USB-C supply but without luck. i did not manage to get it working. Attached is a screenshot of an attempt to trigger 18V via different method:18V Fixed PDO: This was obviously not going to work as 18v is not a fixed PDO.18V APDO: This also was not supposed to work because the source's PDO does not fall into this rangePPS: a 16V-18V was asked and should have been asked first de to PPS_PRIORITY set to 1Things to note:1- All three options have also been tested individually without success2- Multiple current from 1.5A to 5A have been tested3- Source is offering from 3.3V-21V@5A in PPS as you can see in the capture (also on the product label)4- A power reset (USB unplug/plug has been done between every test)5- ABOVE_5V flag has been tested on/off and behave as expected.6- Multipl
Hello,I'm developing the software to exchange secure data between a remote host (Linux-OS computer) and a electronic board based on STM32U5 MCU and STSAFE-A110 secure chip. I already implemented the board authentication and I chose to use the symmetric key encryption that the two hosts securely exchange data. For that the two hosts computes each on their own the shared secret after sharing their own public key. That's works fine! But I don't know what functions of stsafe library to use to encrypt and decrypt data using the computed secret key board-side.Could you please help me?Best regards,Alex

I dont know why it doesnt detect the MCU.
Hi ST Support Team,I am using MXCube for STM32U5A5VJ. I have enabled the RTC, and cube generates the following Init Function. In this way, everytime I restart the controller, the RTC date is gonna be overwritten. In practice, I would like to have the bracket at line 9 down in line 21. Thank you for your support.Best Regards, Gianmarco Cerutti void MX_RTC_Init(void) { ... /** Initialize RTC and set the Time and Date */ if(LL_RTC_BKP_GetRegister(RTC,LL_RTC_BKP_DR0) != 0x32F2){ LL_RTC_BKP_SetRegister(RTC,LL_RTC_BKP_DR0,0x32F2); } RTC_TimeStruct.Hours = 0x0; RTC_TimeStruct.Minutes = 0x0; RTC_TimeStruct.Seconds = 0x0; LL_RTC_TIME_Init(RTC, LL_RTC_FORMAT_BCD, &RTC_TimeStruct); RTC_DateStruct.WeekDay = LL_RTC_WEEKDAY_MONDAY; RTC_DateStruct.Month = LL_RTC_MONTH_FEBRUARY; RTC_DateStruct.Day = 0x11; RTC_DateStruct.Year = 0x25; LL_RTC_DATE_Init(RTC, LL_RTC_FORMAT_BCD, &RTC_DateStruct); ... }
Hi,I have a working 3-phase STPM33/34 energy meter. Voltage is correct. The current is wrong by a fixed factor of approximately 60.Setup:CT: 80A primary / 5A secondaryBurden resistor: 6.8 ΩGain: x2Mode: UART with auto-latchExpected reading: 0.6A → Actual reading: 0.01AWhy I think this is a calibration/formula issue and not a hardware fault:The error is consistent and proportional (not random)Voltage on same chip reads correctlyCRC passes on every frameNo register corruption detectedMy question to the community:Has anyone seen a x60 error factor on STPM33/34 current channels? Which misconfigured parameter — CT ratio in firmware, KI calibration register, Kint constant, or gain setting — would produce exactly this ratio?
We are currently experiencing issues with the LPS28DFW.We observe pressure values dropping to 0 or even negative ranges (e.g., around -400 mPa), as well as unexpectedly high values (up to approximately 1200 mPa), while the expected range should be around 950 mPa. We are also seeing abnormal temperature outputs, including unrealistically low values (e.g., around -400°C).this happens when the sensor is in contact only with air and also when it is in contact only with water. When the sensors from the field they are brought back in the lab the sensors seem to recover on their own and return to normal readings.
I have a platform where I need two different Linux distros, one kinda like Android's recovery environment, and one main application environment. They will have different packages, and probably also different init-systems, as the recovery environment should be as small as possible, so I probably need to build them in separate steps and separate Yocto distros.Additionally the recovery environment will be completely stored in a separate NOR flash, where also the bootloader is stored, the main application distro will be in a NAND flash. How can I get the OpenSTLinux build system to generate an appropriate flashlayout for this?So far I got it to work with the bootloader in NOR and rootfs in NAND, but the extra system in NOR seems to be a bit more effort.
Hello, I have been working on a project attempting to get Lua 5.5, Freertos running on a STM32h723.I used cubeMX to generate my project with Freertos enabled.I brought in Lua 5.5 library from their website https://www.lua.org/download.htmlI was able to get it compiling and my project as a whole builds and flashes without errors. Now the part that I'm struggling with. If for any reason Lua has a error the STM32 goes into hard fault and most of the time it seems to be a BusFault caused by IMPRECISERR.I'm trying to figure out if getting Lua to work on the Cortex-m7 is more involved than just adding the library. As I was watching a video from a person that was getting LuaJIT ported to the STM32h7 and he had talked about a few issues he had in regards to the Cortex-m7 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9Jnah4uXBY Though I will admit he was trying to port over the Lua Just In Time compiler and other things that I don't believe base Lua has. I would appreciate it if anyo
Hi,I'm using the LIS2DUXS12 in FIFO Stream mode with DEC_TS_32. FIFO watermark is set to 64. Looks like every ~17 FIFO reads (~1055 XL samples), exactly 1 accelerometer sample is lost. The pattern is consistent and repeatable. Each FIFO read of 64 entries normally contains 62 XL samples + 2 timestamp tags. However, every 17th read contains 63 XL + 1 timestamp tag. Looks like before this batch with 63 XL samples, there is 1 XL sample gap in data.I use only the timestamp present in the FIFO batch to calculate timestamp for each sample. And with that approach samples in that FIFO batch aligns with next FIFO batch exactly - no gaps, no overwriting, fixed period. So despite the fact that this FIFO batch contains one XL sample more than the other, there's still a gap in data. Configuration:- ODR: 200 Hz (HP mode)- FIFO mode: Stream (continuous)- bdr_xl: ODR- dec_ts: DEC_TS_32- xl_only_fifo: 1- FIFO watermark: 64I couldn't find errata for LIS2DUXS12. Questions:1. Is th
Dear ST Community,We are currently working on the STM32H747 controller using the MIPI DSI interface in video mode.In our setup, we are using the SN65DSI83TPAPRQ1 bridge to convert MIPI DSI signals into LVDS signals for our display panel. The MIPI configuration and bridge configuration details are attached below. After configuring the CSR registers on the bridge side, we are reading Register 0x0A and Register 0xE5 for status verification, as specified in the SN65DSI83TPAPRQ1 datasheet initialization sequence. We have also enabled the test pattern, and the display turns ON (screenshot attached below).Observations:For Register 0x0A, bit 7 is not reading as 1For Register 0xE5, the expected value is 0x00, but it is reading as 0x01We are observing clock signals at the bridge outputHowever, no data signals are present on the LVDS sideQueries:What could be the reason for bit 7 not being set in Register 0x0A?What does Register 0xE5 reading 0x01 instead of 0x00 indicate?Does this behaviour su
Hello, everyone on the forum.I am using an STM32H735IG, ThreadX, and FileX to create files on an SD card and write data to them. In each iteration, I open the file using `fx_file_open`, seek to the end of the file using `fx_file_relative_seek`, write data using `fx_file_write`, close the file using `fx_file_close`, and finally flush the media using `fx_media_flush`.When performing this operation, each file write takes about 10 milliseconds. If I want to write multiple files in a short amount of time, should I use multithreading and have each thread write a file? Also, when writing data to a file on a regular basis, is it okay to keep the file open and write the data without calling `Open` and `Close`?How often should I run fx_media_flush? I’d appreciate any advice you can offer.
On the STM MB1363 board I want to expand the USB fucntionality to multi port USB HUB using port CN13 through a HUB like given below. I will be connecting UPSTREAM of the given USB Controller chip to the CN13 STM32 MB1363. TUSB4041I-Q1, CY7C65642-48AXC Is that feasible? What throughput can I expect?
I have followed the instructions mentioned in :Getting started - How to evaluate a model on STM32N6 development board for a quick profiling of my model.Board: STM32N6 Nucleo boardI, however , get a timeout message "LOAD ERROR: STM32 - read timeout 50047.0ms/50000ms" when running the Ai runner. I have done the following.1. In Dev Mode(BOOT0 and BOOT1 set) , n6_loader.py is executed and the log is attached as n6_loader.log2. The image Post_programming.png shows the output in TerraTerm after loading the Software.3. After setting the relevant python paths, and running the validate command as below, I see the load error. Attached is the screenshot Ai_runner_log.png.$ stedgeai validate -m <model_path> --target stm32 --mode target -d file:st_ai_wsThe generated report on the model resources are Flash : 1.1 MB and RAM: 3.1 MB.Could you please let me know how can I do a quick validation without encountering such an error ?
Is there an easy way to find devices that support specific CAN buffer configurations? For example, some only have receive queues whilst others allow a number of receive buffers to be configured (which is what I want). I know the H7x7 supports this, but does anything else?
I am using the STM32MP131 in a baremetal environment. Since there is no internal flash, I am planning to use external flash and DDR.I have confirmed that writing to and reading from the flash works, but I don't know how to start from FLASH instead of SYSRAM when powering on.I saved the FW's bin data at address 0 of the Flash and tried changing the boot mode to QUADSPI Flash, but it did not work.I think QUADSPI needs to be activated before reading and executing from Flash. Where should I activate this?Do I also need to modify the linker script for the firmware that runs from Flash? Please let me know if you have any solutions to this problemThank you very much in advance.
Dear all, I was trying to setup the NVIC for EXTI for certain pins on STM32MP257F over CubeMX. However the nomenclature in CubeMX confuses me a lot. As I know there are two EXTIs: EXTI1 and EXTI2 which completely changes when we look into NVIC there it shows EXTI and EXTI1. Now the confusion is if EXTI is EXTI1 or 2 and so on.Thanking you all.with regardsAmit
Could you provide a routine for reading and writing external flash using spi+dma+ interrupt in the STM32F407 standard library?
when i run my .stmcx file in stmcsdk 5.4.8v i am getting these type of errors ,how can resolve
Hello everyone,We are having trouble getting tracing to work with our target at full clock speed and would like to understand why, we have an application running on STM32U575 @ 160MHz CPU clock, we also connected the J-Tracer to it using a connector glued next to the uC and short wires (~10mm) to PE2 ... PE6 (pins 1 to 5 on the LQFP100), the GPIO pins are all configured (using a JLinkScript) as AF and at maximum speed, and from what we understood on the documentation (Arm trace technical specification - SEGGER Wiki) the trace clock and trace data operate at half the CPU speed, I checked the ST datasheet and the GPIOs we are using should be good up to 100MHz, so in theory the trace should be possible with the CPU running at 160MHz and outputting trace data @ 80MHz, or?- I have tested with the CPU at 160MHz and 2 trace data pins instead of 4, and it works, but the trace buffer overflows every time, as only 2 data lines are too slow for the amount of information.- I also tested with the
Hello,The STM32Cube project Template_LRUN is failed on STM32H7S78-DK:STM32H7S78-DK, MB1736-H7S7L8-D01SW is from the latest master of https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeH7RS/tree/main/Projects/STM32H7S78-DK/Templates/Template_LRUNI also double check with the stm32cubeh7rs-v1-3-0.Follow the instructions from readme:Build Template LRUN projects with CubeIDE v2.0.0Use CubeIDE to load Template_LRUN_Boot.elf to internal flashUse CubeProgrammer to program Template_LRUN_Appli.bin to external Nor-Flash and success.Powerup the DK board and no LED is light-on.By tracing the boot program, the MCU is hangup when copy the program from Nor-Flash to PSRAM. It seems PSRAM is not ready. The error occurs at: https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/stm32-mw-extmem-mgr/blob/5c92d55af712b20030853a8ac7ddf87ab9eb1adf/psram/stm32_psram_driver.c#L138 /* Execute the command sequence */ for (uint8_t command_index = 0u; command_index < Psra
Hi, I'm using stm32cubeide version 2.1.1 and version 1.15.1/windows11, both are compiling the same project on my PC at slower speed compared to a lab computer.(3min vs 20seconds) Any idea what could be causing the issue? Thanks!
Hello everyone,If you've ever tried running Azure RTOS with an HTTP server, an FTP server, multiple TCP sockets, and a handful of threads on a standard NUCLEO-144 board, you know exactly where this is going. You hit the memory wall.1 MB of internal RAM sounds like a lot — until ThreadX, NetXDuo, and FileX each want their own byte pools, packet pools, and thread stacks. Add an HTTP server for a web interface, an FTP server for remote file access, and you're fighting for every kilobyte before your actual application even starts. And storage? The NUCLEO boards don't have any. If you want to serve a web dashboard or datalog sensor readings, you're out of luck. Then there's the documentation gap. ST provides excellent examples for HTTP servers with NetXDuo. FTP gets reasonable coverage. But WebSockets? Real-time bidirectional communication between a browser and your STM32? Good luck finding an ST example for that. And it's the one thing that turns a static web page into a live control interfa
I've installed MEMS Studio v2.3.0 and trying to evaluate ST1VAFE3BX sensor -- in particular the vAFE ONLY operation in FIFO mode -- using the STEVAL-MKI109D evaluation board with STEVAL-MKI250KA evaluation kit plug-in module. Previously I had MEMS Studio v2.2.0 installed and that was working. I've just updated to v2.3.0 and now the setup is not working.- I did update the FW on the MKI109D board; MEMS Studio indicates "FW: 2.6.17".- I see a tiny fraction of a second of data in the plot window, and then nothing.- The pink "Run" button becomes grayed out/deactivated.- Most options typically under the "Sensor Evaluation" panel disappear. How do I use MEMS Studio to evaluate the ST1VAFE3BX sensor in "vAFE only" mode?
Hi,I do not plan to use USB, and the STM32N6's VDD is 1.8V.However, creating a new 3.3V power supply just only for the VDD33USB pin is too inefficient. The datasheet lists the absolute maximum ratings for VDD33USB as ranging from 0V to 3.6V when USB is not used, and the comment below states the following:1. All main power and ground pins must always be connected to the external power supply, in the permitted range. Therefore, Finally if I do not plan to use USB on the STM32N6, which of the following options should I choose for the VDD33USB pin?(have to consider leakage current in stop mode)1) NC2) 3.3V (by creating a new power supply)3) 1.8V4) GNDthanks in advance.
@Mahmoud Ben Romdhane I am still seeing this on ST Cube MX 6.16.1 when generating for the STM32F723E-DISCO target. This is using the latest STM32F7 package, 1.17.4. Attached is my IOC file if that's helpful.I know its a trivial fix but wanted to report this is ongoing.
