MEMS and sensors

Using the VL6180X sensor with default initial configuration found in the documentation (chapter 2.1), the measurement task remains stuck waiting for the measurement bit to be set on the 0x4F register (measurement ready).The bit seems to never be set.

I want to know if i open acc or gyro odr twice in diffrent time,how will mems work. (twice odr is the same)Question: Whether the MEMS will reset? Or if the last state is the same as now, nothing will be done?

HelloWe use the lps27hhw in our devices. When temperature is positive - all right. But when temperature is negative - the sensor sends the temperature less than it actually is (example -40* instead -20*). I put the appliance in the freezer, the temperature is -19*, and show data from the sensor via BLE app.0 byte - status reg1-3 bytes - pressure reg4-5 bytes - temperature regThe sensor send -38 degrees of celsius.After that I put the device in the oven, the temperature is +50*. All right.  What is the problem?

Hi ,guys:I have use the following code to read accelerometer data but the sensor data X, Y, Z are always 0 and I check register WHO_AM_I and it is quite correct. And I also check Status register but the DRDY always 0(means Sensor data not ready).uint8_t rst; float acceleration_mg[3]; int16_t data_raw_acceleration[3]; /* Check device ID */ lis2dw12_device_id_get(ctx, &wai);   if (wai != LIS2DW12_ID) while (1) { /* manage here device not found */ }   /* Restore default configuration */ lis2dw12_reset_set(ctx, PROPERTY_ENABLE);   do { lis2dw12_reset_get(ctx, &rst); } while (rst);   /* Enable Block Data Update */ lis2dw12_block_data_update_set(ctx, PROPERTY_DISABLE); /* Set full scale */ //lis2dw12_full_scale_set(&dev_ctx, LIS2DW12_8g); lis2dw12_full_scale_set(ctx, LIS2DW12_2g); /* Configure filtering chain * Accelerometer - filter path / bandwidth */ lis2dw12_filter_path_set(ctx, LIS2DW12_LPF_ON_OUT); lis2dw12_filter_bandwidth_set(ctx

Hi!I have an automation project that requires a large number of sensors (up to 30). All sensors have digital outputs and use the I2C communication protocol. I would like to know if it is possible to have all the sensors sharing the same I2C bus. If so, where can I find more information on how to establish this connection? I'm planning on using an M-DUINO PLC.Thank you in advance.Sensor datasheet: https://www.st.com/en/imaging-and-photonics-solutions/vl53l1x.html

I think those two values are for HDR(High Dynamic Range). Am I right?1. If so, is it possible to use the same value for VL53L0X_VCSEL_PERIOD_PRE_RANGE and VL53L0X_VCSEL_PERIOD_FINAL_RANGE?The amplitude(brightness) of the reflective sheet gradually lowers(darkens) with distance, but at a certain distance it jumps up and then begins to lower(darken).I think there is a VCSEL period switching for the reflective sheet at the certain distance.If I use the same VCSEL periods, I think there is no jump of the amplitude.2. If it is not possible to use the same value for VL53L0X_VCSEL_PERIOD_PRE_RANGE and VL53L0X_VCSEL_PERIOD_FINAL_RANGE, could I know which VCSEL Period the VL53L0X used?Best Regards,Wooijin

hi i am using X-NUCLEO-CCA02M2 and P-NUCLEO-WB55 with The FP-AUD-BVLINKWB1 BVLPeripheral application trying to communicate through the st ble sensor app but it doesn't worki manage to send audio from the phone to the pc through the board but it doesnt send from the boards sensor to the appprobably the sensor is not connected wellthe sb configuration are in posion can someone tell me what is exactly posision on the jumpers?do i need to connect a usb cable to the X-NUCLEO-CCA02M2 ?Please can anyone help me what i am doing wrong ?

Hello all,I would like to try to use the IIS3DWB with ESP32 with SPI. I found very few resources over internet and I tried to use the generic driver from ST github but with no luck. Anyone has a working example I can use?Thank you!

I have a simple ranging project generated by CubeMX using X-Cube-TOF1 v2.0.0. The host is Nucleo-L452.Initialization of the VL53L2CX appears to work without errors, however when the "VL53LX_run_device_test" function runs it fails after the timeout, returning -7 (timeout).Please could you help to debug/resolve this issue.

Good morning,For the company I'm working for (the CEA in Grenoble), I need to rebuild an electronic device of an old project.In order to build the PCBs, I'm looking for a specific accelerometer: the 3-axis accelerometer "LIS302DLTR" with a LGA package.I can't find any of this product online, distributors like RS or Farnell say that this product has been stopped and that it's no longer manufactured.Is there a way to buy this product again somewhere online ?Is there any replacement of this product, with the exact same package so I can put it directly in my PCBs without changing the design or the software ?Thank you !Sincerely,Antoine

In vl53l5cx_init, the sensor sends the `VL53L5CX_FIRMWARE` data to the sensor. This means the main application MCU needs to store the ~80kB+ in its data. Can this be modified so the firmware is downloaded only a single time, so there is less memory overhead in the MCU?

Hi, I am trying to use the vl53l5cx_set_i2c_address() function in order to change the i2c address, but it keeps returning -2, or VL53L5CX_COMMS_ERROR from the following line in vl53l5cx_set_i2c_address(): status |= WrByte(&(p_dev->platform), 0x7fff, 0x02);The WrByte seems to fail. I would like to change the i2c address, in order to use multiple modules, but currently I can only use one. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

 Dear all:From this diagram we can see that, gyro test is calculate whether the difference between the two data values is within the range.I want to know Write 04h to CTRL5_C (14h) Enable, What does the hardware do? What does it mean if the data is less than or greater than the set value twice?   Thanks.

Hi, because there is almost no information about Motion Indicator from the existing docus, could you pls explain how does it work. And what does it aim to be used?Thanks,Best regards,Wayne

Hi All,I have installed UNICO GUI 9.9.0.0 to evaluate evibrations.I have some problems in plotting values< it seems that the graphic interface does not work correctly.I attach an image to show you the problem.OS: W7 PRO on Intel i3-2120 -- Integrated Video CardThe data are correctly acquired and savedThank you very much for your kind supportCiaoFabio

There is too much uncertainty ? Would be possible to use this measurements to evaluate mechanical vibration according to ISO10816-3 ?

AFAIK the IIS2DH has no anlog anti aliasing filter. So will aliasing occure if I use low ODR settings and the input signal is frequency is higher than ODR/2? Because in our test we are getting quiten often spikes in the signal output signal. And if this is the case we could only crank up the sampling rate?
