We based our circuit on the "STKNX Reference Design" (V1.0, 14. Nov. 2019)).In the case of the single fault condition of a shorted CFH capacitor during operation almost the whole KNX bus voltage (21-30V) is permanently over the 68R resistor (RTX) and generates a big power loss of over 5-12 W (depends on the current KNX voltage). In the case of a single fault condition at 30 V KNX bus voltage, the overload of RTX leads to an broken RTX with high impedance, so the overload ends automatically --> no danger. However in the case of a single fault condition at 21 V KNX bus voltage (where the power loss is lower) the lower overload do not lead to an high impedance RTX (maybe the impedance increase a bit, but not enough). So that a power dissipation of 4-5 W are permanentely available, wich heats our case illegally. For RTX we are using the following type: YAGEO RC2512JK-0768RL Can you help us to fix this problem?
Hey All,We are scratching our heads. These STEVAL-STRKT01 work fine for an hour than just stop transmitting. We are using STEVAL-STRKT01 discovery LoRa Asset Tracker Dev-kits in Region US915 with a MachineQ Area-8C 8-channel gateway. Installed the latest firmware STM32CubeFunctionPack_LORA1_V2.0.1 (3/4/2018). We saw the same issue with V1.1.0.We've played with every setting, timers, disable sensors, ADR OFF/ON etc., but always shuts off after about 1 hour. The only exception is disabling GNSS, after which the dev kit transmits forever. We also have tried the B-L072Z-LRWAN1+X-NUCLEO -IKS01A2/GNSS1A sensor/GPSshields, essentially the same hardware but using the three dev board assembly. Again, stops after an hour.If we shorten the duty cycle from 60 seconds to 30 seconds the broadcast time also cuts in half to about 1/2 hour. Joining requests works fine using the lower 8 x 125 kHz channels. After a number of join requests and join accepts the STEVAL-STRKT01 transmits on Channel 64 (500 kH
Hi! I am trying to built this ToF rangefinder using this tutorialBut instead of using the VL53L0X I am using the VL53L4CXI have attempted with 2 different ESP32-C3 Controllers and 2 separate VL53L4CX sensors and no matter what I do I can't get any I2C signal. My current setup is as follows:A brand new out of the box VL53L4CX TOF sensor wired up as followsD0 = SCLD1 = SDAGND = GND3V3 = VINI am using the built in connector on the sensor, so I don't have to do any soldering. But on the first sensor I had I also tried the pins directly. Neither has worked.I have tried all the ESP32 pins D0-D10.I have tried other I2C products on the same ESP32-C3 and they are working fine.I have tried a whole a bunch of variations on the I2C detector scripts and none of them see the VL53L4CX. The scripts registers other I2C devices just fine.Any Ideas what I could do next?Should I just give up using the VL53L4CX?
Hello Everyone,I am using BLUENRG-2 (STEVAL-IDB008V1M) and I have created new 4 custom primary services but only 3 are visible at a time. Is there any way to increase its count?Thank you for the help
Hi all, I've just bought a STEVAL-IDB008V2 board, but I don't find any tutorial or ressources like get stared, the only doc I've found is https://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/um2094-getting-started-with-stevalidb007vx-stevalidb008vx-and-stevalidb009vx--evaluation-boards-stmicroelectronics.pdf But how can I use Wise Studio to debug, why I can' t use stm32cube ide ? I can compile with Wite Studio, but no tutorial how to flah on the board... Is there any links or something ?
Hello,Looking at the documentation of the M2SA module, I noticed that the function of the same pins (21, 22, and 23) differs between the datasheet and the application note. Does anyone know the exact function of these pins? M2SA - application noteM2SA - datasheet pinout
Hi,I am working on the LIS2DU12, but unfortunately it does not yet work as I expected. I do a reset and wait with the status bit of reset until it is done. The system is therefore in power-down. I then set the drdy. This immediately triggers the interrupt because the drdy bit is 1. I see that the DRDY never resets on a reset. So the reset doesn't work? How is this possible?.

I can't get my L9663 SPI working. My understanding is that any 32-bit data I send to MOSI will return a 32-bit data from MISO. However, I am not getting any response; MISO remains low the entire time. I am now using a QFP32 general adapter board to solder the L9663, so I want to use the minimum connections to get the SPI on the L9663 to work. According to the manual, only VB and VDD power supplies are needed to make the SPI work. Are there any other connections that could affect SPI communication? Now I am planning layout a PCB to solder and include some filter capacitors. Here's my plan. Can anyone help to check if it's complete design (at least the SPI will working well). Hi, I'm interested to learn if the BlueNRG-LP chip 355AC can be set in dual mode (which is possible from example code), but over 2 different PHYs. I want the chip to be a central device over coded PHY to connect with sensors and over 1M PHY to talk to a mobile device as a peripheral.1) Is the chip capable of advertising and then maintaining connection over the 1M PHY.2) Will the chip automatically switch radio to provide this functionality? If possible point me to a reference where this radio switching for this chip is explained in more detail.ContextWhen I setup the dual mode via the gap call, for the above combination (coded PHY and 1M initialized), my app reads data from the sensors (coded PHY working), and I am able to use python bleak from PC to read from it as a peripheral (1M PHY working), but for the same setup, my Android phone does not "see" the peripheral to connect to.As an experiment, I switched both sides to talk 1M PHY and the phone is able to connect to the
Hi, I am trying to use the BLE (SPBTLE-1S chip) on my STWIN to send acceleration data, and receive some parameters. My first idea was to use a template from X-Cube-BLE1 with the following configuration : HCI_TL : BasicHCI_TL_Interface : UserBoardApplication : SensorDemoBLEAccording to the schematics, I need to use the SPI2 to communicate with SPBTLE-1S. My CubeIDE configuration is the following:Unfortunately after flashing, I can't communicate with the BLE, the void MX_BlueNRG_MS_Init(void) failed because of the function aci_hal_read_config_data(CONFIG_DATA_RANDOM_ADDRESS, BDADDR_SIZE, &bdaddr_len_out, bdaddr). The printf indicate "Static address not well formed". Edit 03/11/2022: getBlueNRGVersion give FW_Version = 0 why ? The function tBleStatus aci_hal_read_config_data(uint8_t offset, uint16_t data_len, uint8_t *data_len_out_p, uint8_t *data) return BLE_STATUS_TIMEOUTI will appreciate any help or advises,Many thanks,Axel.
Hi all,i have an STEVAL-MKBOXPRO that i want to reprogram.I found STSW-MKBOX-BLEDK here https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stsw-mkbox-bledk.html#documentation and specially example BLE_Sensor_DemoI follow "UM3227 STSW-MKBOX-BLEDK software package for BlueNRG-LP", specially Chapter 3.1 BLE Sensor demo ... flash it with RF Flasher Utility ... all seems ok.However, when i restart my STEVAL-MKBOXPRO, no BLE advertising appears and i cannot connect with app. "ST BLE Sensor Classic", no more visible. Using another ST app. "ST BLE Tool" confirms that no BLE advertising exists.I precise that i flash it with the original BLE_SensorDemo.bin provided in STSW-MKBOX-BLEDK\Firmware\BLE_Examples\BLE_SensorDemo\BlueNRG-LP\ReleaseDoes anybody can confirm me that STSW-MKBOX-BLEDK software package is functional with STEVAL-MKBOXPRO ?Thanks in advance, Christian
Hi Team, i am using STEVAL-MKBOXPRO and want to modify STSW-MKBOX-BLEDK BLE_SensorDemo code to increase the RF output power to its maximum 8dBm. I found that this can be done modifying the file Users > sensor.c file in STSW-MKBOX-BLEDK\Projects\BLE_Examples\BLE_SensorDemo with line aci_hal_set_tx_power_level(1, 31). However, code for example STSW-MKBOX-BLEDK\Projects\BLE_Examples\BLE_SensorDemo is provided only for EWARM and MDK-ARM software tools which are not free tools and that necessitate licenses. I obtained a 14-day Free trial of IAR Embedded Workbench for Arm license, but the date is dead now ... and no more response from IAR. So, my question is: does this code (BLE_SensorDemo) exists for STM Software tools like WiSE Studio or CubeIDE ? Or, how to migrate it ? I mention that the modification of this code corresponds to the Expert Mode of STEVAL-MKBOXPRO ... which should be accessible without any additional cost. I also precise that i am teacher at University, that this projec
I'm trying to build example GPIO_IOWakeup with Keil IDE based on BlueNRG-1. I got this screen. What are the necessary steps to activate building and set up necessary parameters?I try with this activity:What to do?
Hi I have connected Bluenrg LPS eval board (network coprocessor mode) with STM32L476 Nucleo board and both are connected via jumper wires.I'm transferring 30 bytes in a single packet from STM32 nucelo to Bluenrg LPS module what I have seen is, once stm32 sent 1 byte from SPI it waits for interrupt from bluenrg LPS and this wait time is so longer sometime that it gets timed out or timer gets expired(in context of code). And this behaviour happens with almost all packets.I tried the sensorDemo example code (from bluenrg LP DK), sending same amount of data is taking lot of time on this as well. Can someone help me in localizing the problem, am I missing any parameter configuration or is it just because of jumper wire?
Hello Everyone,I am working on a product and recently due to chip shortage I have to change the IMU. I have selected LSM6DS. My MCU is Esp32. now when I send a query of I2C address it responds with 0x7E address while it should be 0x6A. I was using Adafruit library and that is not working with the chip. Can anybody help why this 0x7E or any workaround this? I have attached the schematics. the I2C pullups are 4.7K. thanks
Hello everyone I am looking into the STPM33/34. I only want to use 1 SPI bus for both ICs and select it with the SCS. In the datasheet I cannot see whether the MISO goes into tristate when the IC in question is not active. I also cannot see any information about the galvanic isolation/barrier. Can anyone give me information about this.Thank you in advance.
Hi,during maximum heating tests of our device, we measured a case temperature of +92 °C on the STKNX (on top of the plastic package via thermocouple). The environmental temperature near the STKNX and the PCB was +85 °C.On the borderline, but ok in my opinion. To make things easier, is there perhaps a maximum value for the STKNX case temperature? Datasheet information:TJ = Maximum operating junction temperature = +110 °CTAMB = Operating ambient temperature = -40 to +85 °C
Hey, So i'm using the STM32l4A6ZG and and I want to implement the ATWINC1500 xpro driver so i can use the APIs to successfully connect the ATWINC1500xpro module to the STM32 Host MCU.Can I use this driver : https://github.com/gd91/stm32_winc1500_station_example and change the includes from stm32f4xx to stm32l4xx ? in that case which changes do I have to take and where to copy the following files.Thank you,
After creating new project in ST WiSE Studio the created folders and files are like in pictureWhen new project is compared with other projects from examplesit is noticed that some folders are missing. One of missing folder is User. In that folder the expected file is P02_main.cIn folder Includes exists many subfolders with shadow (grey) description. What actions and parameters need to be done to create useable Project?
Hi,my name is Mario and i have some troubles while debugging a program for the STEVAL-IDB008V1M eval board. ConfigurationSTEVAL-IDB008V1M evaluation boardAtollic TrueSTUDIO Version: 9.3.0In the Atollic IDE, I installed the ST-Link Utility.I compiled the original example "BLE Remote Control" (provided with STEVAL-IDB008V1M board) by means of Atollic.I found on the net the followinf piece of advice:----It will force BlueNRG-2 DIO7 to "1" before doing a reset so that BlueNRG-2 will remain in bootloader. When trying to flash from any IDEs, you must force DIO7 to "1" before doing a HW reset or a power on / power off.----and I applied it. RESULTSIn the above conditions, the debug results are null and disappointing:for few seconds the connection with debugger seems working but it diseppears quickly: the debug process is not able to start. This is the message I got on the consoleSTMicroelectronics ST-LINK GDB server. Greetings, We are currently evaluating the STEVAL-IDB012V1 board (BlueNRG LPS). We're facing some difficulties since we aren't able to debug the SerialPortBLE example in the SDK with Wise-Studio. Problem 1: We followed the procedure on the user manual (UM2735 rev. 13) in order to setup everything correctly (CMSIS-DAP and debugger selection), but still we've encountered the following error: Error Is there, by any chance, something we are missing? Problem 2: We'd like to specify that the board works correctly with RF-Flasher_GUI and BlueNRG-LPS_Navigator apps and we were able to test (in part) the functionalities we needed. We used "in part" because the board suddenly stops working (needs to be re-flashed + reset and we have to restart our BT client device before start a new association). We'd like to debug and see what happens in the memory when we try to send an entire 200kB file using our SW using the write_without_response function (does not happen w
Hej Folks,I have an application with multiple BlueNRG-2s. There are 1 Master and up to 5 Slaves. I would like to connect the master to these 5 Slaves only, so no other device can connect to them and vice versa. I thought about using a whitelist. Currently, the Slaves simply make them self discoverable, and connect to anyone who sends a request: aci_gap_set_discoverable(ADV_IND, /* (Connectable undirected advertising) */ MS_Connection_Parameters.Advertising_Interval, MS_Connection_Parameters.Advertising_Interval, 0x00, /* Public Device Address */ NO_WHITE_LIST_USE, /* Change that ?*/ sizeof(Local_Name), Local_Name, 0x00, /* Service_Uuid_length */ NULL, /* Service List */ 0x0000, /* Slave_Conn_Interval_Min */ 0x0000); /* Slave_Conn_Interval_Max */ The Master on the other hand starts scanning for the slaves: aci_gap_start_general_discovery_proc(MS_Connection_Parameters.Sca
I am developing software that uses BlueNRG-2 as a peripheral to communicate with a central device.(With reference to BlueNRG-1, BlueNRG-2 BLE stack v2.x programming guidelines(PM0257))I checked using the iPhone (LightBlue app) and it was able to detect the BlueNRG-2, but I couldn't connect.(Timeout)It seems that hci_le_connection_complete_event() and aci_gap_pairing_complete_event() are not called.(BTLE_StackTick() is being called, but it's not working?)If there are any points I should check, please let me know.
I try to use STM32CubeIDE but I didn't find how to program, run and debugSPBTLE-1S and BlueNRG-M2 modules.I find that WISE Studio is more usefull. I try examples from BlueNRG-XNavigator. I find out that after activating BLE Beacon example module can notbe used for other examples until reseting with Flasher.I stop with my development when I try with my design. I try to do mixture ofUART and GPIO, what I need for one of my project. I have problems with addingneeded includes and files. At the end I got message that binary file is notexist. On this point I need Your help.I will send more information for helping me.
