Posted on November 05, 2015 at 20:49Hello there!I'm trying to receive information from my PARSE web server. As I read through the SPWF01S AT command set, I've found out, the following command:AT+S.HTTPGET=<hostname>,<path&queryopts>,<port>My only problem is that I have no idea how to fill out the given arguments to reach my web server. Normally, from the browser I would type something like this:https://myAppID:javascript-key=myJavaScriptKey@api.parse.com/1/classes/GameScore/Ed1nuqPvcm(This is form PARSE documentation, since it's an open forum, I can not provide my keys, sorry.)Do you guys happen to know, how can I split the given URL into the AT command arguments? Thanks for the help in advanced! #httpget #spwf01sa
Posted on November 04, 2015 at 21:08Hi, I would need to do some RF tests for SPWF01SC Wifi module and I'm wondering what are the ways to control the module? I would need to set data speed, RF channel and possible TX power level. Are there any PC software available for this? Or some other way to handle this? Br, Marko
Posted on October 12, 2015 at 11:33I implemented a system with the SPBT2632C2A Bluetooth module and an ATSAM4S Cortex M4 Microcontroller for data transmission. Using the SPP protocoll for data logging via a virtual com port on win7/8, I spent several weeks now, trying to debug the following problem, amongst others with a unit test: With default UART Baudrate 115,2kBd, the microcontroller sends a byte(10bits) every ~90s - and thus data with a rate of ~111kBd. Custom data packets are sent including a packet number incremented with each packet. Every now and then (not determined but in the order of several seconds), the received data at the pc shows ''gaps'' in the packet increments that indicate that approximately 8168 bits of data are lost - which is about one bluetooth packet!? Now I would like to know the reasons - and more importantly the possible solutions to solve this issue. I had expected, that the firmware cares about resending bluetooth packets that got lost or were transmitt

Posted on October 27, 2015 at 15:05Hi,I'm programming the ADXL345 3-axis sensor for my thesis project. Initially i made the program in I2C and its working fine. Later on i switched to SPI mode for better speeds. Unfortunately the device is not working in SPI. The device address is 0x00 always. I double checked my all connections. They are perfect. I put some delay after CS also. still no output. Kindly some one help me out. Thank you.

Posted on October 29, 2015 at 06:06Hi In regards to using the SPIRIT1 device in the SMPS OFF mode (without internal switch-mode converter), it's not clear whether the 1.4-1.8V net connected to the SMPS Ext 2 pin is provided internally via an internal LDO, or is it mandatory to be supplied by an external 1.4-1.8V supply? Please advise which method should be taken. Thank you. Regards Heard. #spirit1
Posted on October 27, 2015 at 16:15Hi,I am using SPWF01SC.11I used the command AT+S.SOCKD=8825 on the hyper terminal and received OKso the module is in data mode. Now I want the module to go back to command mode, so I typed AT+S. also tried with escape but i got an ERROR: Data Mode not availableHow I can get back to data mode ?Second Method:SocketServer is: 172.32.144.1+WIND:61:Incoming Socket Client:172.32.144.2(now the client is connected with the server and working fine )+WIND:60:Now in Data Mode(I disconnected the client and it went back to Command mode)+WIND:59:Back to Command Mode (If I want it to go back to Data Mode ?)+WIND:62:Socket Client Gone:172.32.144.2AT+S.ERROR: Data mode not available(Even after disconnect I am keep on getting the below message why it so ?)+WIND:29:DHCP reply for 172.32.144.2/T9:D0:FR:59:U5:RR+WIND:29:DHCP reply for 172.32.144.2/T9:D0:FR:59:U5:RR+WIND:29:DHCP reply for 172.32.144.2/T9:D0:FR:59:U5:RR
Posted on October 26, 2015 at 23:03Hello,Recently we ordered an evaluation kit for the BlueNRG. We are trying to test connectivity with iOS. However, not even the STMicro apps for iOS seem to pick up the BlueNRG device.I use Scripts tab in the BlueNRG GUI tool to init the device in Peripheral, Mode 2. Then I have it advertise in General Discoverable Mode, ADV_IND. Windows and Android can detect the BlueNRG when scanning for Bluetooth devices, yet neither of the STMicro iOS apps, nor iOS System Settings can find it.Is there some step in this process I'm missing? #ble #ios #android #android #bluenrg #ble #pin #windows #ios
Posted on March 19, 2015 at 12:25Hi to all,I'm developing some throughput/consumption test with BlueNRG (using STEVAL-IDB002V1) and I would like to ask if there is a way for the host microcontroller to be notified for connection event end, something like an HCI event (or a more tricky way) that is generated when the connection event finish. This is fundamental to get a stable throughput (at high speed) and for reduce power consumption. Thanks Davide. #ble-bluenrg-connection-event
Posted on October 26, 2015 at 09:44Hi,I am using SPWF01SC.11 wifi module.I have configured it as mini access pointI want the module to be in data mode on startup by default.AT+S.SOCKD=8825 ( I want this to be loaded automatically on startup)so when the module is reset i need to connect to it on the port 8825.Is it possible ? if not give me some idea friends !!!
Posted on October 25, 2015 at 20:35What happens when pushing multiple notifications for a given characteristic before the next connection event? are those notifications queued? if so, how many? What about pushing several notifications for different characteristics before the next connection event?
Posted on October 23, 2015 at 15:50Hi,I am using SPWF01SC.11.my wifi module is connected with micro controller via UART.Now from the micro controller i sent a command AT+S.SOCKD = 1234(portnumber)I got a reply ''NOW IN DATA MODE''.using the port number and IP address i connected the wifi module from my computer using the Socket test software .Now I have sent a message from the computer.I would like to know what will happen to the message received in the data mode, can i receive the same message on the micro controller via UART?what will happen if i send data from micro controller to the wifi module in the data mode?I read some manual it is confusing, thats why I am looking for experts guidance :)

Posted on October 20, 2015 at 12:27Hi.I just get a new nucleo shield with BlueNRG-MS and I would like to ask You how I should start with it? My adventure with Bluetooth started a few months ago, but communication with those systems was via UART and AT commands. This one is much different and I don't know how to start with it to exchange data with any other Bluetooth device. I have already downloaded ST library but I don't know how to use it. Can you give me any tips? #hello-world #bluenrg-ms
Posted on April 20, 2015 at 15:40The BlueNRG DK 1.7.0 includes firmware images (V7.1) and API documentation for ''BlueNRG-MS devices. Can you please explain the differences between BlueNRG and BlueNRG-MS? Other than support for Bluetooth 4.1 in BlueNRG-MS, it is difficult to see any significant differences. Are these the same hardware with different firmware, or different hardware? Can the firmware in a BlueNRG chip be upgraded from v6.4 to v7.1? Are there advantages in doing so (for example, bug fixes in the later firmware).
Posted on May 12, 2015 at 22:57Greetings,Our design requires a non-default IFR setup. ST provides a tool that can update the IFR, but this isn't going to be useful to us in production. We'd like to be able to write new IFR values over the SPI bus as part of our manufacturing procedures. Is there documentation that explains how we can do this? If not, what method other than the GUI is available to us?Cheers #ifr-and-ble-stack #ifr-manufacturing
Posted on August 04, 2015 at 07:58I use Blue NRG chips for BLE communication. Testing it with STEVAL-IDB003V1 with BlueNRG GUI in Master mode. In device i have defined characteristic with notification and read/write properties (1Ah). Characteristic value changed with period 1 second (epoch time). When i read characteristic value (by ACI_GATT_READ_CHARAC_USING_UUID or ACI_GATT_READ_CHARACTERISTIC_VAL), value changed correctly, but IDB003V1 not show (or receiving) value change notification.Whats condition must be met for value change notification? Must be defined characteristic descriptors (i thing that in sensor demo isn't defined for time)?Thank you for answer
Posted on October 21, 2015 at 14:04 I know that the HTTP file image can be downloaded from an HTTP server and written to flash using AT+S.HTTPDFSUPDATE. Could it be possible to add the capability to load the HTTP file image to flash by sending the image data directly from the MCU? This would be more convenient for my customers as it doesn't require the module to have access to the internet or even a local HTTP server. Cheers, Mark
Posted on October 06, 2015 at 16:31 Next problem... I have enabled flow control on the module and the MCU and now attempting to use a bit rate of 460800. Both ends are using the right bit rate but only the MCU appears to be controlling an RTS signal. The RTS output on pin 10 of the module goes low on module initialisation and stays low even when I send a lot of data to the module. The module is in data mode. Not exactly sure what data is getting lost but the comms protocol between the MCU and the client (via a websocket) is failing. Using exactly the same hardware and software but a lower bit rate (115200) works absolutely fine. Is there anything else I need to do apart from setting console1_hwfc to 1 and turning on RTS/CTS flow control on the MCU? Cheers, Mark
Posted on October 19, 2015 at 16:54Hai Guys !I am using SPWF01SC.11 , I have connected this with the micro controller via UART.From the micro controller I am sending a command AT+S.SOCKD= port number through UART.Now my WiFi module received the command and entered into the data mode.I know the IP address and port number of the wifi module now and i connected it from my computer. Now I have a sent the string ' Hai' from my computer and I can see the string in the data mode on hyper terminal. My question : 1. what will happen on the wifi module once it received the string in the data mode ?2. will it send the string through UART ? #spwf01s-wifi #spwf01sa-wifi-scan-command

Posted on October 09, 2015 at 12:31Hello, we have to transfer long attributes (images) on BlueTooth. We read in BLE Specifications 4.0 that this can be accomplished using the “Write Long Characteristic Values? procedure described in 4.9.4 of part F: a sequence of Attribute Protocol Prepare Write Request – Prepare Write Response terminated by:Execute Write Request - Execute Write ResponseHowever, looking at the code, it seems that only BlueNRG MS (and not BlueNRG) provides the offset: #define EVT_BLUE_GATT_ATTRIBUTE_MODIFIED (0x0C01) typedef __packed struct _evt_gatt_attr_modified{ uint16_t conn_handle; /**< The connection handle which modified the attribute. */ uint16_t attr_handle; /**< Handle of the attribute that was modified. */ uint8_t data_length; /**< The length of the data */ #if BLUENRG_MS ///@cond BLUENRG_MS uint16_t offset; /**< Offset from which th
