Posted on January 05, 2017 at 09:39Hi, I'm working with the board STEVAL-IDB007V1 and it works correctly with the PC Tool BlueNRG-1 Navigation. I have some problems when I want debug the project Demo sensor: I tryed to use ST-LINK and also the J-LINK but in both cases I have some problem:With ST-LINK I can download the application in the target but when I try to stop the debug or put a breakpoint, the IAR stucks and I can't continue the debug. I must restart the debug session. I'm using IAR7.80.2When I use JLINK I have a different behaviour: I can download the application, stop, put breakpoins and so, but the speed of the LED1 is different if I'm in debug mode or not. When I' in debug mode the led LED1 blick very slowly and after about 10 second I'm not able to communicate with the iOS App. But whe I disconnect the debugger and reset the board all works correctly and I can see the data in the iOSApp. Why the led LED1 blinks with different speed when I'm in debug mode only?S
Posted on January 03, 2017 at 19:08Hello.What could be the reason for Spirit1 (SPSGRF) module getting stuck in 0x3B PM_setup state? Everything works well until one RX state timeouts (doesn't receive any data). Thanks#spsgrf
Posted on December 26, 2016 at 09:13I am using the SPBTLE-RF connected to a standalone MCU to communicate with my PC using BLE.I am establishing the connection and the data is being transferred ok but every X minutes I encounter a drop in the BLE connection. In such case, the PC tries to connect again to the module and the connection established again so the data transfer. Are you familiar with such phenomena?BR.
Posted on December 21, 2016 at 21:46Good evening,I have a question about the SP1ML module: it integrates Spirit1, baloon, chip antenna and the STM32L151RB microcontroller.I search info about the STM32L151RB in yur site and I saw there are 2 version:- STM32L151RB Not recommended for New Design. Product is in volume production only to support customers ongoing production.- STM32L151RB-A Product is in volume production. So my question is, what is the microcontroller version present in the module? There is a longevity program for the module?Thank you,Silvio.#stm32l151rb #spirit1 #sp1ml-spirit1-stm32l151rb #sp1ml

Posted on December 19, 2016 at 14:48Hi Jerry,is it possible to save the network connection settings (SSID name, password, etc.), that after a firmware update of the SPWF01the settings are still avaliable and the module connects again to the network? In older firmware upates, I have to setup the module with the network settings again after a firmware update.Cheers,Flow #firmare-update #spwf01
Posted on December 11, 2016 at 15:05i have all my initialization code generated for STM32F217 SPI DMA using STM32CUBE as MASTER. Does anyone have a good c code example of the main() with infinite loop while() code sending and receiving data and then processing the result ... all the ST EXAMPLES don't show this last part
Posted on December 14, 2016 at 09:50Hi Everyone !I am using SPWF01S wifi module.I would like to assign static IP for my module, so that my module will have same IP address even when connected with different networks.I used the following AT Commandsat+s.scfg = ip_use_dhcp,0at+s.scfg = ip_ipaddr,172.10.10.50at+s.scfg = ip_netmask,255.255.255.240at+s.scfg = ip_gw,172.10.10.1at+s.scfg = ip_dns,172.10.10.1when I use the above commands the module is allotted with static IP but SOCKET connection is not happening but when I use 'ip_use_dhcp,1' then everything works fine.Help me to solve this issue.
Posted on July 23, 2016 at 04:31After SPI bus activity stops, how long until BlueNRG goes into sleep mode? Document UM1755 BlueNRG Bluetooth®LE stack application command interface (ACI) implies the time is 2 mS. This is important because there is an errata saying that BlueNRG will lockup if a new SPI command is started while the BlueNRG is trying to go to sleep.
Posted on July 22, 2016 at 09:46Hi, I was developing a Bluetooth featured product and I was interested in the ST's BlueNRG+STM32L1xx solution. The throughput performance of the Bluetooth would be crucial, since it would be used for large files transfering sometimes. But I couldn't find any performance data about the BlueNRG Bluetooth. I want to know about the actual maximum data sending/receiving rate of this Bluetooth solution. Is there anyone could help me? Regards. #bluenrg-performance
Posted on July 12, 2016 at 20:24Can BlueNRG scripting work as a full Python program? Questions I have: Can scripts be run in a normal Python debug environment rather than using BlueNRG_Script_Launcher to run?Can I import standard Python modules into my BlueNRG GUI script? Is there a BlueNRG module or package I can import to add Bluetooth capabilities to a normal Python program?

Posted on December 05, 2016 at 22:13Ok, despite alll the warnings in the instruction sheet.... I wrongly reflashed one IDW01M1 module. Basically I wrote the firmware from the first page, and I suppose this compromised the bootloader. Is there any way to recover? Thanks

Posted on December 08, 2016 at 09:13Hi, I was wondering that if it is possible to delete the HTML and CGI file system from the module.?P.S: I can see from the documentation that it is possible to disable/enable the feature. My concern is to permanently delete the files.#cgi
Posted on December 05, 2016 at 21:32Hello folks, while experimenting with an idw01m1 module, I am experiencing deauthentication with the message:WIND:40:WiFi Deauthentication 3With the '2015' firmware, the module was unable to reconnect until WiFi was turned off and on.With latest (2016) firmware the situation has improved a bit, and the module automatically reconnects.I strongly suspect this behaviour has something to do with a timeout because:1) it happens only if there is no data exchange2) it happens exactly and systematically after 300 seconds from the last RX/TX.Yet, I wasn't able to find a parameter either in the module or in the router to change it.To connect, I execute this sequence after a factory reset:at+s.scfg=wifi_wpa_psk_text,<password>at+s.ssidtxt=<my SSID>at+s.scfg=wifi_priv_mode,2at+s.scfg=ip_use_dhcp,1at+s.scfg=wifi_mode,1at+s,wifi=0at+s.wifi=1Commands are written via console, so I am sure to wait for the correct answer. With the automatic reconnection, th
Posted on December 09, 2016 at 16:49Hi there! I am using M95512-A125 serial EEPROM in my automotive project. My question is, when i'm going to do some operation on the EEPROM, how do I know if it is completely IDLE? I know that bit WIP in the status register indicates if there is an ongoing write cycle. But does reading a ZERO in WIP bit mean that there are no ongoing operations at all? If not, how to verify if the EEPROM is free to take up new task? Thanks in advance.. https://community.st.com/tags♯/?tags=eeprom ♯ ♯#idlestate #eeprom #m95512-a125
Posted on December 07, 2016 at 00:39Hi,Referring to this question: https://community.st.com/0D50X00009Xke8kSAB Dear customer,I'll try to give a feedback to you:•Can scripts be run in a normal Python debug environment rather than using BlueNRG_Script_Launcher to run?- No the scripts written for BlueNRG device cannot be runned in a normat Python debug because they contain special command understanding only using BlueNRG_Script_Launcher or GUI.•Can I import standard Python modules into my BlueNRG GUI script?Yes, you can import any standard Python modules into BlueNRG GUI script.•Is there a BlueNRG module or package I can import to add Bluetooth capabilities to a normal Python program? No Regards,Graziella Marchese I tried to import a python package in the script and ran using script launcher but it failed with ImportError. I am using Windows 7 OS. Any suggestion on how to fix this issue? Thanks in advance. #bluenrg #bluenrg-gui
Posted on December 09, 2016 at 08:48Hi, I want to read some Wmbus frames using SPIRIT1. Do anyone happen to know where i can find those libs: wmbus_appli.c, wmbus_link.c, wmbus_phy.c. They were mentioned in one of ST pdf about Wmbus protocol: /external-link.jspa?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.emcu.it%2FWirelessMBUS%2FWireless_M-BUS_Solutions_and_more.pdfThere is one more question, is the application: WMBUS PC GUI from the same pdf steal avaiable? null
Posted on December 05, 2016 at 20:57the main issue is that the pins doesn't correspond and it requires to unsolder the resistance R10,R12,R15 and solder in R11,R13,R16my idea was just curv or cut the pins and create a loopback between the other pins.the second was to find a chip configuration but is feels not possible.is it possible, my i have your advice ?Br,Mr Onillon#stm32f746-discovery #bluenrg

Posted on December 06, 2016 at 15:28Hi,I'm using the Bluenrg-ms chipset with firmware version 7.1.e (0x715). Everything works fine, except from the authorization settings. Each device can connect to the BLE without any request for permissions (PIN). By digging a bit I've found that the function 'aci_gap_slave_security_request' should do the job, but I don't exactly know where and how to use it (related callbacks to handle, actions to do according to the result). Can anybody help me through this? Thanks a lot,Daniele#spbtle-rf #bluenrg-ms #ble
Posted on May 30, 2016 at 07:10I have our BlueNRG device set up to use a fixed pin for pairing. I am able to successfully pair with Apple iOS decvices and windows phone when I enter the correct PIN when prompted by the device. However when connecting to an Android device, the pairing always fails even though I enter the correct PIN when prompted. Using a packet sniffer I can see that the reason for failing is 0x04 (The confirm value does not match the calculated compare value). I have tried with several different Android devices and versions including 4.4, 5.1 & 6.0 and I have the same issue with all of these. Has anyone successfully paired an Android device with BlueNRG using a PIN code? Regards Nick #bluenrg-pairing #android #android #bluenrg-pairing
Posted on November 24, 2016 at 11:26Hello, I am using SPWF01.11 FW3.5 as webserver as described in a previous post. This webserver is made of 1 HTML Frameset (main.html) + 3 HTML frames (m.html / sm.html / data.html) to override the 4ko limitation. I am also using local jQuery (v 1.2.3) (53Ko). My static pages are created with httpd_gen.exe creating outfile.img. This webserver work well on my desktop PC + several smartphone using android or iOS 8.4. I then try on different iphone with iOS 10 and the pages are blocked (I tested Safari/Firefox/Opera Mini with all the same problem). Consulting safari error consol I get the message: ''Sandboxing m.html beacause it is using HTTP/0.9'' ''Stopped document load from m.html beacause it is using HTTP/0.9 on a non default port'' The 3 HTML frames pages have the same problem. The problem of non-default port is strange as my server is tested on port 80. As I don't know much about HTTP version, my questions are: - does anyone enc
