I'm using the STM8L-Discovery board and not sure how to set the chips registers and to set / read time to the LCD display.
I just need a 'hello world' program to get me going.

Further to this post I have noticed that there have been 75 views to this post but sadly no replies. I have now moved over to MBED using ARM core'd mcu's particularly as the ST compiler options are now costing �600-�700.
Also I had a similar question that was answered within 10 minutes.
So no competition here.
Reluctantly it's goodbye to non ARM based ST mcu;s.
Very disappointed!!
