STM32H7RS series lifetime usage estimation

This article presents estimated lifetime usage for STM32H7RS series microcontrollers. These estimates are qualified based on the product mission profile, which defines the available lifetime of the product under a specific set of conditions. These conditions include the target junction temperature (TJ), the voltage scaling of the device (VOS), and the duty cycle. The maximum junction temperature (TJmax) and applied voltage values are provided in the product datasheet.

The lifetime estimates in this article are approximate. It must not be considered as an actual lifetime limit or a product guarantee for any single device from the supplier. Applicable sales and warranty terms and conditions remain in effect.

The table below shows the estimated lifetime usage of STM32H7RS under typical conditions.

The product ages faster at high TJ. According to the table, when VOS is Low and the duty cycle is 100%, the lifetime estimate is 10 years at TJ = 130°C. The lifetime estimate is 20 years at TJ = 115°C.

Note that AN5337 Rev 3, “Guidelines for estimating STM32H7 MCUs lifetime”, is not currently applicable for STM32H7RS.
