How to find the Source of the firmware?

Http demo dont work. Gets IP form DHCP but could not be reached about network.

Picture viewer displays only the first picture.

Sound Demo dont find a file on the USB Stick.

.

A lot of mistakes for a lot of money for this eval.

Without the Source of the firmware it is hard for beginners to evaluate this board  To work with the libs are not so difficult but if You want to do things like display a text file from sd on the lcd or things like that there no start point without. If ST want to get there Chips more popular the must give much more easy to use start up help.

regards

Joerg

The problem with the demo's is that they are built with third-party licensed software, which may not be available for source distribution. The demo are also likely constructed in a fairly hurried manner, and not a particularly clean or refined solution. If seeing the source is important, you should probably pursue this through you local ST sales or FAE contacts. The board cost is mainly covering the hardware, the level of support you might expect will depend greatly on the volumes you bring to the table. ST is targeting professional developers with access to their own tools, libraries, and development resources.

The chips themselves are selling quite well, the component software libraries are also available in either open-source, or licensed. The former being an issue if patented technologies are involved, and may require your source to be made available.

The STM32F4 firmware libraries come with several peripheral examples.
