ST online NFC Tuning Circuit / Antenna Matching Tool

Hello,

I am designing an NFC reader based on the ST25R95 transceiver and I would like to use the ST online NFC Tuning Circuit / Antenna Matching Tool to calculate the antenna matching network.

However, I cannot find the ST25R95 among the selectable ICs supported by the tool.

Is it possible to use the online tuning tool for the ST25R95 by selecting an equivalent device,?

If the ST25R95 is not supported, what is the recommended method for calculating and tuning the matching network? Should I rely only on application note AN5248 and the reference designs?

Any guidance from ST engineers or users who have successfully designed a matching network for the ST25R95 would be appreciated.

Hello Marco,

First I would like to highlight that the ST25R95 is in status NRND. 

It is an easy to use and robust device, but some features required for newer standards are missing (for example. AWS and DPO for NFC Forum CR15 OV20).

A few requirements are different from other, newer products. Therefore the design process is not covered by the AMT and NFC Tuning Circuit online tool.

Nevertheless the ST25R95 EMI filter calculation tool (STSW-ST25R003) and Application note 

ST25R95 transceiver antenna tuning circuit with EMI filter (AN5248) are still available on www.st.com.
