Schottky Diode for GHz range

Hi,

I am working on a project involving input signal in the 3-5 GHz range. For the rectifier circuit, I wanted to use the BAS70-04FILM diode by ST. Is that suitable for the given frequency range though? Else is there any alternative for the same?

Hi,

you can try it - any Schottky diode will work in some way... a 70V diode is more for power supply etc.

but you should take a real RF-diode, if you want more, than just "works a bit" .

But to get to 5GHz - is not easy.

What it should do ?  Check RF level? Small signal, big - how many mV ?
