L6206Q jitter

Hi, we are evaluating the L6206Q using the EVAL6206Q board. The output of the chip exhibits excessive jitter. Is this a regular behavior?

more desc.: supply voltage 15V, test load 15R/5W, input signals 3V3, 50kHz, various duty cycles, jitter in the input signal sub 1ns. Jitter in the output signal up to +/-30ns

By jitter I mean random changes of the duty cycle of the output while input stays the same (in above mentioned bounds). We have found out it is outputs's rising edge which is exhibiting this behavior (rising of input to rising of output), falling edge being much more consistent. As resolution of our PWM control is 7ns this jitter is too excessive. Any comments or experiences?

thank you

Dear Karel,

the jittering seems compatible with the characteristics of the device.

The typical delay times are 1600 ns (ON) and 600 ns (OFF). The variation, compared to the absolute value, is negligible.
