Test Report from a European laboratory

Hello everyone,

We are planning to purchase a batch of STM32 microcontrollers via LCSC and, for our internal purposes, we would like to obtain a Test Report from a European laboratory confirming either:

  • compliance of the chips with the manufacturer’s specifications (datasheet), and/or

  • authenticity of the chips (e.g. using X-Ray or similar methods).

We have already contacted around 20 laboratories across Europe, but unfortunately most of them declined, explaining that such requests are outside their scope (they typically focus on EMC/CE testing of finished devices).

The models in question are:

  • STM32F103C8T6

  • STM32F407VGT6

Could anyone recommend a company or lab in Europe that is definitely capable of helping with this kind of testing?

That is, indeed, the case.

Not really - this is a rather unusual request!

Such testing would be expensive - probably cheaper to just buy chips from an Authorised Distributor:

Do you have a batch of chips which you suspect may be fake?

Post some good, clear close-up photos of the chips.

For STM32F103C8T6 (as commonly faked on Blue Pills), maybe this helps:

A complex system that works is invariably found to have evolved from a simple system that worked.
A complex system designed from scratch never works and cannot be patched up to make it work.
