Your web site shows that the ST72324BK6-Auto is still active. However our distributor here in Australia tell me "in fact the whole ST72 series is now obsolete". Can someone please help...

Seems ST and your distributor differ in their interpretation of "obsolete".

The Datasheet of the ST72324 says "NOT FOR NEW DESIGN".

ST might continue to produce it for a while, but I would consider porting to the STM8 family (also 8 bit) or the STM32 family.

This forum is mostly populated by users, and very little ST staff. I suggest to get in contact with ST directly, via FAE or your distributor.
