I have been using Scool together with Keil for years, but last tuesday after I started my PC and a win11 update was installed, I started Scool but got this error:
"The PC/SC access cannot be enabled for the reader (driver not installed?)
SdtReaderDllLoader
Function name:ENABLE_PCSC_ACCESS
Parameter 1:SCtool Virtual Reader"
When trying to update driver in Device Manager, I get code 31. (Well known win error code it seems, and I've tried all sugested solutions from AI and others without success.)
My HW card readers also failed, but I managed to find and install newer drivers for them from the internet, so they are running again, only Virtual SCtool drivers I can't find, so the question is, are there any new win11 drivers for SCtool?
(My present SCtool Virtual Driver is version 1.1.0.0)
Helpdesk sugested I tried to install Scool on a new PC win11 25H2, and drivers worked fine on that.
(My present PC is version win11 23H2, and my collegue has exact same PC and win version, where drivers also work fine)
I'm trying to avoid a reinstallation of my PC to newer win11 version, as it normally takes a week+ with all applications.
Hope you have some idears. ;o)

After looking at your ticket 00253969, I now know that you are talking about secure elements ST33. However, their data is strictly confidential and they will only be supported using a signed NDA. For this reason, nobody in the public community will be able to help you, so you should directly contact your local ST contact.
Hope that helps?

Welcome @Nikolajdk, to the community!
I would like to help you, but I am not familiar with any of the terms you mentioned: SCool or SCtool. Could you please explain what they are?
To avoid typos, please do not type error messages manually, but copy them or take a screenshot.
Regards
/Peter

Thanks for the answer, yes we have a NDA with ST, just not sure who our local ST contact are these days, as we started with the ST33 chip more than 10 years back, guess my manager has to find out. ;o)
Also I didn't think that a Driver would be that secret, anyway I'm quite sure, that the root of my problem is Windows, as it works on another PC ldentical to mine with win 23H2, or if I install on a new PC win 25H2.
So if someone had experienced the same trouble as me, they might have found a hint to get Windows back on track, conserning these drivers.
