No Fix and no PPS with TESEO-LIV4F

Hello,
I recently made a custom PCB with the teseo-liv4ftr for an avionic and i have trouble making it work. The module responds to the nmea commands via I2C, but I couldn't get a fix whatsoever and not even a signal on the PPS pin.
The Teseo is soldered correctly and with a proper LDO power supply. Also, I am using a Taoglas active antenna (AP.25M.07.0080A).
Can anybody please help me?

PPS won't start until the LIV4F has a fix.

The RF_IN has a DC bias to drive the antenna. Same as the VCC_RF pin. As a first step, I recommend checking the voltage at the antenna connector to make sure it is 3.3V.

The if there is voltage, try the following:

  • Remove the ESD (CR1).
    • Try this first and see if you can get a signal. Make sure the antenna is outside for the first test.
  • Remove C36 & L12 and short C34 & L11.
    • This will simplify the RF input path
    • The RF_IN pin provides DC for the antenna (same as VCC_RF) up to 35mA current draw. The antenna only draws 4mA, so this should be fine.
    • The LIV4F has a coupling cap and inductor internal to the module.

If this works, then the antenna power LDO circuit needs to be examined.
