Title Document: ChibiCube

Hel

lo to everyone, I am R

occo Marco and I am going to introduce ChibiCube v2.0.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2IVJro_tqs

ChibiCube is a project realized by two trainees t

hanks to the technological support and knowledge offered by ST. This project is a led matrix 8x8x8. Each led can be individually addressed and can have up to 256 intensity levels.

ChibiCube 2.0 could be drived by both 'SPC560D discovery board' 'STM32F3 discovery board'. In order to do this we have made another PCB named ChibiAdapter. I have attached schematics and gerber of both the PCBS.

About the software: ChibiCube is 'animated' by Chi

biOS/RT and a particular graphic library named S3DL built on the RTOS. I have attached a demo for SPC5Studio that includes a copy of S3DL v 1.1.0

I want to suggest some useful link:

Cool!

for student interested to practise with SPC56 32-bit power architecture microcontrollers:

1) download SPC5studio  (free) from st.com (

http://www.st.com/spc5studio

)

2) enjoy 30days full featured compiler evaluation license

3) contact forum moderator requisting a free compiler license under university program.
