TDA7498MV EPU Up or Down?

Hi,

I am planning to use TDA7498MV for Active Speaker application.

According to Datasheet Rev4, I am confusing about package. I need a EPU type package because of big out-put power. Description and Table-1 said EPU,however illustration and Fig-26 show EPD. Which is correct? Please confirm.

Best Regard

hi Hiroshi ,

in fact TDA7498MV is EPU type , the thermal pad is on the top of device , due to the dissipation power is much higher when the output power is reach 100W , so an external heat sink must be added to cool down the device and maintaion rated output power .

thanks
