How do I fine-tune the FFT output for the analog microphone on the STWIN.box development kit

I’m using the FFT app that came with the recent workshop but I’d like to change the display output from 80kHz to around 1kHz, and show 1Hz bins. 500Hz is okay too, instead of 1kHz. Is this possible?

Thanks in advance.

by doing some mouse clicks ? i dont know, if this function is there, you should find it.

otherwise, by calculating yourself : shure.

for 1Hz bins up to 500Hz a 1k FFT would be ok, but you have to filter/downsample the data to 1kHz sample frequ.

this is not sooo simple, read about how to filter+sampling down. (is also "standard", if you cascade some 2:1 filters, doing halving the frequency . maybe most easy way. )

without reducing sample rate, you could do fft on a PC, a 256.000 fft is no problem there.

but on a cpu with only some KB ram....no. first down-sampling...
