STM32CubeIDE v1.17.0 - same problem on Windows 11 and Ubuntu 18.04When I press the Butterfly icon it opens an "MPU Serial" console window and says "CONNECTED" but there's no prints.Meanwhile I can still connect via terminal program (TeraTerm on Windows, minicom on Linux) and see the prints. On Windows even going into Preferences and selecting the preferred port to the one that works in TeraTerm doesn't change anything. On Linux I was able to fix it this way.I am currently unblocked because I can continue on Ubuntu 18.04 but I figured I'd report this anyway...
Hi,i updated CubeMX to version 6.14 and therfor update STM32MP1 firmware package to v1.7.0- STM32Cube FW_MP1 V1.7.0In my project i am using the Option to copiy only need library files to projectBut this does not work correctly. There are some files, header files, missing under Middlewares\Third_Party\FreeRTOSThe files are all existing in the packge under C:/Users/XYZ/STM32Cube/Repository/STM32Cube_FW_MP1_V1.7.0but not being copied to Project folder. Can anybody confirm this issue?P.s. when i use firmware package 1.6.0 with CubeMX v6.14 everything is fine.Regards
Hello,I'm working on uploading test firmware to the M33 core on the STM32MP257F-EV1 using STM32CubeIDE.After enabling the OpenAMP function in the .ioc file, I noticed an issue with the files automatically generated under the Middlewares/Third_Party/OpenAMP/ directory: certain placeholders (such as @PROJECT_SYSTEM@) are not being replaced with the correct values. Is there a plan to address this in future updates, or is there a recommended workaround for now? Thank you.
Hi :) I have a custom-made board with the MP1 (stm32mp157D). The whole board is working fine, the A7 is running Linux and the M4 code runs fine. But I cannot get SWV to work on the M4 chip. I have reduced the code to an extremely simple code, nearly 100% generated by CubeIDE - I only added the following lines in the main to increment a counter called DDDEBUG and print using ITM_SendChar() : /* USER CODE BEGIN 0 */ uint32_t DDDEBUG = 0; /* USER CODE END 0 */ /** * @brief The application entry point. * @retval int */ int main(void) { // ... (code generated by CubeIDE) ... /* Infinite loop */ /* USER CODE BEGIN WHILE */ while (1) { /* USER CODE END WHILE */ /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ DDDEBUG++; for (char* ptr = "test\n"; *ptr; ptr++) ITM_SendChar(*ptr); HAL_Delay(1000); } /* USER CODE END 3 */ } The code compiles without errors, and it loads and executes fine, I can see in the debugger the counter incrementing (even in Live Expr
Hi, I am using STM32MP257F-DK microcontroller. I have never used a dual cortex before. All I want to do is to generate a simple STM32CubeIDE project which also has a .ioc file. I want to debug it via CubeIDE.1) Do I need OpenAmp to successfully flash the code?2) I have already set up the SDK, are there other settings I need to take care of?When I try to flash my current project, It always stops at 78% like shown in the picture below.
Hello everybody, currently i am trying to migrate from KEIL uvision to CubeIDE.CubeIDE Version: 1.13.2Build: 18220_20230914_1601Target: STM32MP157Debug Probe: STLink-v3miniE or othersExample Project: OpenAMP_FreeRTOS_echo_CM4 When I start a debug session in production mode, the M4 firmware is loaded and starts running. I have no problem with this.In Keil it was possible to reset the MCU during a debug session in production mode quite easily by pushing a button. So it was possible to set a breakpoint at the beginning of application in main().In CubeIDE there is no such possibility, am i right? Or can it be done in a similar and convenient way??I have not found a solution to this "problem".The conversation in this Topic deals with the same issue but the answer is not satisfactory for me.I tried several thing under Debug Configurations->Startup->Initialization Commands etc but without success.I hope that it is not necessary to write individual reset bits in the registers by
I have been trying to find a way to increase the icon size for the STM32CubeIDE toolbar. Today I found a way that worked for me.
Where can I configure the Voltage of each individual Buckconverter od LDO?

Is it possible to store keys generated by STM32MP_KeyGen_CLI in TPM and use them by STM32MP_SigningTool_CLI directly, without extracting?
HelloI would like to know how can I disable the JTAG in the STM32MP157 using OTP and stm32CubeProgrammer
According to this article the signing tool is a part of STM32CubeProgrammer. I need a signing tool during my Yocto build to be able to build signed images. The best way to guarantee a reproducibility of the build is to launch it in a dedicated container (to make sure the host system is the same on all developer / CI machines). So the few questions are:I can't automatically download only the signing tool, can I? The download of STM32CubeProgrammer package requires for me to accept the license. It seems that STM32CubeProgrammer installer doesn't have any command line options. I would like to at least have unattended installation, automatically accepting the license and setting installation path in a non-interactive way. CubeProggrammer installation manual doesn't mention any. All that is required, for example, during 'docker build' execution. Is there an open source signing tool alternative?
I want to know why I downloaded the latest JAVA, but I can't install STM32CubeProgrammer.*This post has been translated from Chinese to comply with the ST Community guidelines.
Hello Team,Currently we are facing issue in loading a custom kernel on STM32MP157A). To load and build the image for the custom kernel please find the link below which currently we are usinghttps://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Getting_started/STM32MP1_boards/STM32MP135x-DK/Develop_on_Arm%C2%AE_Cortex%C2%AE-A7/Modify,_rebuild_and_reload_the_Linux%C2%AE_kernel We have build and install all the dependencies which are required https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stm32mp1dev.html here in this we have installed MP1-DEV-SRC . The linux system currently we are using is 20.04.1-Ubuntu .So there is requirement that we need to enable few things from the make menuconfig like RAW GADGET , GADGET FS , GADGET ZERO ,FUNCTION FS. Eventually when we build the kernel without make menuconfig changes, It builds and runs fine but after any configuration when we run the make ${IMAGE_KERNEL} vmlinux dtbs LOADADDR=0xC2000040 O="${OUTPUT_BUILD_DIR}" command it shows the error in the pic
Hi I am working with the STM32MP257FxEV1 and trying to create a bare metal test project for evaluating the M33, since there is no ready example that can be created from the STM32Cube IDE I succeeded to create the project and build it correctly, also put the EV board to development boot (not SD, not QSPI), and then when trying to start the debug, it fails with the following message I suspected the linker file to be created wrong from the ioc generator, cause the addresses were assigned to the DDR addresses and not the SRAM, so I changed them to the SRAM like this The debugging is set the SWD and it looks like it connecting OKbut the problem remains and not solved, I can't enter a debug session I attached the whole project - it a very small one, and maybe someone can explain what is the problem? Thanks
Hello, I am trying to make my own project on Cube IDE for the STM32MPU257F-EV1 Development board. However, whenever I try to run it or debug it fails. I am pretty sure it because of the configurations because the sign build configurations, that we often use for the example applications, is not one we can use by default, and I am unsure how to make a configuration that will actually allow it to run. As of now if my project just has the code generated from the ioc it is still unable to run or enter debug mode. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hello Continue to me development on the STM32MP257xEV1, previous failure with the Python crypto packages the project: OpenAMP_TTY_echo is loaded correctly, built configuration _ns_sign is completed OK, also looks like the .bin file is generated setting the Run configuration with the correct IP address, conneting to the board run => downloading the bin to the target is progressing till the endupon completion of the download, the board is powered on - see this in the consoleBUT - remoteproc remoteproc0: powering up m33remoteproc remoteproc0: Image is corrupted (bad magic)remoteproc remoteproc0: Boot failed: -22 looks like the signing function has a bad key Can it be the python packages versions => pyelftools and pycryptodomex ?
Hello I'm starting development on the STM32MP257xEV1 (I already have an experience with the STM32CubeIDE with lots of MCUs) I followed the installation instructions, IDE 1.17 => and the MP2 package + patch => Python packages I'm running on windows 10 x64, have the python 3.10 and checked that those libraries are installed (i.e. pip list and jupyter-lab example python code) The board OpenSTLinux is booted correctly from the SDCARD, and I see the terminal and have a live Linux console Basically I wanted to start with an example on the M33, and started with the following link: Modify, rebuild and reload the firmware - stm32mpu the project : OpenAMP_TTY_echo is loaded correctly, and the build of _ns is completed OK When I choose (with the hammer) the _ns_sign I get this error : Th trackback shows: ImportError: cannot import name 'utils' from 'cryptography.hazmat.primitives.ciphers.aead' (C:\Python\Python310\lib\site-pack

I am getting a strange warning on IDE 1.17 after upgrading that I was not getting before bin/ld.exe: warning: PE-28.elf has a LOAD segment with RWX permissionsI have not modified the Load file at all. It did not show up before, I can go back to the previous version and I do not get the warning. What could be causing this?
I am using the STM32MP131 in a bare-metal environment.Since upgrading CubeMX from version 6.11 to 6.12, the code generation for the SPI3 module does not work at all.Specifically, the function declarations are generated, but the internal code of the functions is not generated at all. The code on the left is from version 6.11, and the code on the right is from the latest version. There is no internal code at all. I'm not sure if this issue is specific to me, but I have confirmed that it works properly in version 6.11.
Hello, I am currently working on making some code for the STM32MPU257F-EV1 on Cube IDE, Specifically version 1.16. I have my code building with no errors and I am able to enter debug mode. However when I try to run the code I get the following error:Error in final launch sequence: Failed to execute MI command:monitor haltError message from debugger back end:Protocol error with RcmdFailed to execute MI command:monitor haltError message from debugger back end:Protocol error with RcmdFailed to execute MI command:monitor haltError message from debugger back end:Protocol error with RcmdProtocol error with Rcmd I am unsure how to fix this as I have found no resources online addressing this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Moved from MCU to MPU sectionI am searching for an option to read the Device Id Register from STM32MP133 using STM32_Programmer_CLI via USB.--upload is not supporteds for STM32MP-regdump command is only available with JTAG/SWD-r32 0x1FFFF7E8 3 failes Any idea?
Hi all,I just got the board and off course now want to follow the official page (https://wiki.stmicroelectronics.cn/stm32mpu/wiki/Getting_started/STM32MP1_boards/STM32MP135x-DK/Let%27s_start/Populate_the_target_and_boot_the_image) for flashing.OS windows 10.STMCubeProgrammer v2.18.0inserted SD card to board, SW1 set to USB, connected PC with CN7started the STMCubeProgrammer and successfully connected to USB1 (so drivers OK)downloaded en.FLASH-stm32mp1-openstlinux-6.6-yocto-scarthgap-mpu-v24.11.06.tar.gz and unpackedrun in cmd: C:\Program Files(x86)\STMicroelectronics\STM32Cube\STM32CubeProgrammer\bin>STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe -c port=usb1 -w C:\<path>\FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp157f-dk2-optee.tsvsee result Download.png (as I never saw a correct log I think here something went wrong after "Reconnecting the device ...")on display: "DFU alt info setting: done""crq->brequest: 0x0"power off, SW1 set to SD card (position oppostite from USB), power ONnothing on display and on uartRe
