I want to register the MAC address of my own board which STM32MP151CAA3 is mounted on.Can I use STM32CubeProgrammer to register the MAC address?If so, are the following commands correct? Example) MAC address which I want to register: 00:12:34:56:78:90 > STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port=usb1 -otp program wordID=0x39 value=0x56341200 > STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port=usb1 -otp program wordID=0x3A value=0x00009078Also, can I update this OTP bits only once?(If I register the MAC address once, Can't I update it again?)Best regardsH. Hello,Just curious, I wonder how to connect and debug Cortex-A7 cores on STM32MP157C-DK2?Currently, I'm using CubeIDE and seems that using ST-Link onboard to debug M4 core and can't do same thing with A7 cores, even I saw it's listed in ST-Link debug configuration.I also see that it's no way to connect this board to an external debug probe.Thanks for your support.
I'm trying to boot my original board which STM32MP151CAA3 MPU is mounted on with original device tree.However, cannot boot the board when following steps.--Environment-- Host PC: Intel Core i7 3.6GHz / Ubuntu Ver16.04.6 LTS STM32CubeMX: Version 5.6.0 OpenSTLinux: openstlinux-4.19-thud-mp1-20-02-19--Steps--1) Generate device tree sources by STM32CubeMX (See the attachment file "PortMap.ioc")2) Fill the User Section according to my board hardware. (See the attachment files "Device tree file modified in user section for original board" in comparison to "Device tree original file from CubeMX")3) Compile the device tree with Developer Package, and Get "kernel DTB", "u-boot.stm32" and "TF-A.stm32" files. This step is acording to following wiki page. https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_compile_the_device_tree_with_the_Developer_Package#Updating_the_TF-A_device_tree4) Flash “u-boot

I have a STM32MP157c-DK2, programming on Windows-10.What works: Build Yocto, adapt it, flash the image to the SD-Card.Use STM32CubeIDE to program and debug code on CM4My goal is to setup a proper workflow of the project, where I can integrate our standard build environment, using cmake, build scripts, IAR (not yet sure I want/need that).Couple of issues I faces:Setup and generate code for an empty project for the DK2 with CubeMX for IAR. Running the example code it tells me 'no MCU device found' (Using CN11 'ST-Link'). a) Do I miss some configurations? b) Is it engineering or production mode? c) Do I need to set the boot pins? According en.DM00591354.pdf there is no engineering mode possible with the boot pins. Is this correct? If I use Bootpins = 0x100 it behaves same way. d) Are there reasons not to use IAR (except costs)?Alternative would be, to work with STM32CubeIDE. But I not yet fully happy with it (still a bit buggy). And it will be difficult to integrate our continous integra
New board STM32MP157A-DK1 bought, trying to connect. First, ST-LINK drivers were updated, then on-board ST-LINK version was updated to last available V2J26M36. MDK cannot connect ("No target connected"), st-link utility cannot see board ("Detection fail"). Through some experiments, by the moment, assume this:- Oscilloscope shows signals on SWDIO, SWCLK, NRST.- Tried all available firmware versions (V32...V36) from the site.- Wires were soldered to TP3, TP5, etc. to got connection to external ST-link. Initially, external ST-LINK/V2 had version M28 and MDK has read ident from the device! But MDK cannot flashing board ("invalid ROM table"), and firmware in external ST-LINK were updated. Since this, it came to the situation "No target connected" which was with the on-board st-Link. Another firmware versions were tried with the same result.ST-LINK/V2 and ST-LINK/V2 Isol were tried.In MDK dialog, internal st-link version shows as V2x36x26, but there NO such format in RN0093 doc. Only J36M26
Hi! I am trying to use ADC on STM32MP157C-DK2. With Starter Package image it runs fine, but with st-example-image-qt it stuck on the function below. Can somebody helps me with this? I think it is a problem in the device tree file. if(HAL_ADC_PollForConversion(&hadc2, 5000) != HAL_OK){ HAL_Delay(1000); }
Hi ST team !During the process of finding a way to put our custom boards in production, I tried to use the STM32Prog mode on Uboot. This failed because in SPL, spl_board_load_image() is empty and can't download via USB OTG the SSBL.I found another way to produce our board but I would like in the futur using CubeProgrammer.My question is do you have any plan to fill this function ?https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/u-boot/blob/v2018.11-stm32mp/arch/arm/mach-stm32mp/spl.c=> /* TODO : add download support in SPL without TF-A */Thanks!RegardsAnthony Harivel
Hello, previously, I had no problem setting up the virtual UARTs in the the Ac6 IDE using STM32CubeMX 5.3.0. With the new 5.4.0, the OpenAMP initialization change a bit so, obviously I enabled in the openamp_conf.h the UART HAL module driver (virt_uart.c). With the generated code (Cube 5.4.0) the openamp initalization hangs the M4 when executing MX_OPENAMP_Init(). : /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/ /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN Init */ __HAL_RCC_HSEM_CLK_ENABLE(); /* USER CODE END Init */ /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config(); /* IPCC initialisation */ MX_IPCC_Init(); /* OpenAmp initialisation ---------------------------------*/ MX_OPENAMP_Init(RPMSG_REMOTE, NULL); What are the possibilities to debug this? I suspect, the CM4 cannot connect to the CA7. Thank you very much. Thread #1 (Suspended : Sign
Hello,I'm trying to launch OPENAMP tty echo demo project. I succeed one time, the tty was correctly created and i can communicate. But I recently flash the SD using dd tool and after this operation the M4 code stuck in MX_OPENAMP_Init on :while(resource_table.vring1.da != VRING_RX_ADDRESS)Maybe something wrong in the device tree but i don't find any solution on web or this forum (i tried the solutions offered in an other post on this forum, but no results).Best regards,Robin.
Hi everybody,I've just installed STM32CubeIDE 1.2.0 on Ubuntu 18.04.It seems that breakpoints on Cortex-M4 don't work. When I debug via ST-Link on stm32mp157c-dk2 everything is fine but breakpoints, they are simply ignored.Any suggestion?With previous installation (STM32CubeIDE 1.1.0) breakpoints on Cortex-M4 worked well, allowing to stop execution wherever I wanted.In the "Progress" tab in Eclipse it seems that Configuring GDB hangs on (at 93%), even if the execution really starts.
I came a step further setting up the System Workbench for STM32.But now I am asked for a password to access to the target system but I all passwords that I can remember I had set-up before don't match.Can somebody show me, how I can reset the password required for the situation shown below.

I wanted to find out, what it does mean to master the new STM32MP1 platform from the SW development perspective.I am very familiar with software development for the STM32 Cortex MX Cores and using the IAR Embedded Workbench under Windows.I have the STM32MP15X-EVAL evaluation board on my desk and I have installed Ubuntu 16.04 on VM-Ware. Then I went trough the getting started material from ST, where the download and debug of a Cortex M4 application is addressed.and I am able to compile the Cortex M4 demo application OpenAMP_TTY_echo. Then I want to download this application to the evaluation board. Doing so I get the error message from System Workbench for STM32 "The selected serial device is not available anymore".Googling a little bit around to solve my problem, I recognized that there is a System Workbench for STM32, which is recommended in the getting started and that there is a STM32CubeIDE. I am now a little bit confused which IDE I should use for my evaluation of the platform. I

It seems that with CubeProgrammer all partitions in the MP1 EMMC must be flashed using the tab delimited file. Is there a way to support to update/flash only selected partitions ?
Using STM32CubeMX 5.4.0 with a project created and last modified successfully under 5.3.0 gives me:java.lang.NullPointerException at com.st.microxplorer.codegenerator.McuDataModel.getIpRCCInfo(McuDataModel.java:933)The RCC configuration has not changed since the project was last successfully exported under 5.3.0. This is blocking us from using 5.4.0 since not all of our projects have upgraded to OpenSTLinux MP 1.1.0 release yet, so we need to support the older projects until they're updated.
I am trying to debug my M4 program on systemworkbench (eclipse) for the board stm32mp157c-dk2 and the host computer is ubuntu. I have set breakpoints in normal flow and also in exceptional flows in the program. Program works very well in debug and I can see the outputs via my qt program on linux side on mini display. But the flow never stops by breakpoints. The breakpoints have no effect. I am doing the following steps correctly. Please tell me what is missing or what I am doing false... build the project in eclipseselect production mode in debug configuration because the program is based on the example "OpenAMP_TTY_echo" give the ip address in debug configurationright click on project and select Debug As --> ST's STM32 MPU C/C++ ApplicationAnd this is the log on console when the debug startsOpen On-Chip Debugger 0.10.0+dev-01124-gbfb41e6 (2018-11-16-15:00) Licensed under GNU GPL v2 For bug reports, read http://openocd.org/doc/doxygen/bugs.html debug_level: 1 cortex_a interrupt ma

I upgraded CubeMX (linux OS) to Version 5.3.0 and the devicetree file is not compiling anymore.I'm attaching the ioc File and the dts for reference.it seems some properties (automatically generated) have the string "sleep_sleep" appended which seems wrong to me - I corrected these properties (by editing the dts file) - I got it to compile successfully but the kernel doesn't start now.This process was working fine with an older CubeMX.Aurelian
