Hi,I used the STM32CubeIde version 1.4.Below is the procedure create "stm32mp157c-dk2.dts ":1) onpen STM32CubeIde2) Click "File->New->STM32 Project" to create a project "stm32mp157c-dk2"3)Click "Board Selector" to select board "STM32MP157C-DK2"4)Configure project name "stm32mp157c-dk2"5) press "Yes" to "initialize all peripherals with their default Mode"6)Click "Project->Generate Code" to generate code. The generated device tree file is different from device tree file in "en.SOURCES-stm32mp1-openstlinux-5-4-dunfell-mp1-20-06-24.tar.xz".Please advise how i can get the same device tree file. Can you share me with the "*.ioc" file which generated device tree file in the "en.SOURCES-stm32mp1-openstlinux-5-4-dunfell-mp1-20-06-24.tar.xz".Thanks,QiZhang I
I try to walk through this example:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Getting_started/STM32MP1_boards/STM32MP157x-DK2/Develop_on_Arm%C2%AE_Cortex%C2%AE-M4/Modify,_rebuild_and_reload_a_firmwareMy problems start at Step 6.The "Open Console On MPU Serial Device" button (with the Butterfly symbol) doesn't find a serial connection. As a test I connected via Putty to the device and managed to login successfully. In my case it's COM17 named "Serielles USB-Gerät" in the hardware manager. The debug Configuration Window also does not allow to press "Debug" although I can access and login to the IP which is set there in the connection segment.Did anyone mange to debug the M4 Core tru Linux in a Win 10 environment?RegardsChristian
Hi I'm trying to read the OTP bits on the discovery board STM32MP157C-DK2 using the STM32CubeProgrammer v2.4.0. The GUI version can't read the OTP bits, but I tried with the Command Line Interface and it gave me the following error:C:\Program Files (x86)\STMicroelectronics\STM32Cube\STM32CubeProgrammer\bin>stm32_programmer_cli.exe --connect port=usb1 -otp displ ------------------------------------------------------------------- STM32CubeProgrammer v2.4.0 ------------------------------------------------------------------- USB speed : High Speed (480MBit/s) Manuf. I am on windows 10 and would like to use sub-system for linux (WSL) to cross-compile OpenST. So far i made it trough all the steps...until i saw that the cubeprogrammer is using a GUI installer...witch doesnt work on WSL....Are there plans to make that cubeprogrammer available in "non gui" installer? Thanks
We have a custom board using the STM32MP157C chip and we are having a problem with the USB programming via the CubeMXProgrammer. Our system is working and we have a tf-a.stm32 binary image, a functional u-boot.st32 image and a working rootfs Linux system. We can boot from SDCard and from eMMC.I have read the flashlayout document which explains the TSV file format and created a layout file for programming the eMMC flash however we are running in to issues actually programming the device via USB.Here is our TSV file #Opt Id Name Type IP Offset Binary - 0x01 fsbl1-boot Binary none 0x0 tf-a-stm32mp157c.stm32 - 0x03 ssbl-boot Binary none 0x0 u-boot.stm32 PD 0x02 fsbl1 Binary mmc1 boot1 tf-a-stm32mp157c.stm32 PD 0x04 fsbl2 Binary mmc1 boot2 tf-a-stm32mp157c.stm32 PD 0x05 ssbl Binary mmc1 0x00100000 u-boot.stm32 PD 0x10 rootfs System mmc1 0x00300000 rootfs.ext2The TSV file is parsed correctly by STM32_Programmer
According to wiki article https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP15_Discovery_kits_-_Starter_Package#Image_flashing it takes "several minutes" to flash partitions.Flashing bitbake optenstlinux 2.0 (distribution package) or starter image to SDCard of my STM32MP157c-DK2 board takes several hours (~4h)! Is this normal?
I'm trying to make FreeRTOS application which is involving ADC and sending messages via virtual UART to Cortex A7. So I began with example called OpenAMP_FreeRTOS_echo in the cube fw version 1.2.0. That example worked good. I saw echo on /dev/ttyRPMSG0. Then I tried to incorporate ADC into that code but without success (I made succes with ADC + virtual UART without using FreeRTOS, but I want to make FreeRTOS working). I had a lot of trouble using System Workbench in terms of ST-Link detection (I always had to change COM port in the Debug Configuration) and I read on this forum that there were troubles in using FreeRTOS and those troubles are solved in Cube IDE 1.2.1. https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X0000BI0vctSQB/freertos-does-not-run-on-stm32mp1-m4-coreSo I recently switched to Cube IDE v1.4.0, but there I have trouble on stopping on breakpoint. I placed break point on lines after main which must be executed (i.e. HAL_Init), but the debug is not stopped. Thanks in advance for t
I have been using the Starter-Package v1.2.0 with no problem. But I cannot flash the SD Card with the new v2.0.0 Starter-Package. I am using STM32CubeProg v2.2.0 and I keep getting the same errors (using either CLI or GUI):$ STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port=usb1 -w flashlayout_st-image-weston/trusted/FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp157c-dk2-trusted.tsv ------------------------------------------------------------------- STM32CubeProgrammer v2.2.0 ------------------------------------------------------------------- USB speed : High Speed (480MBit/s) Manuf. We have a STM32MP1 system with no flash media. How do I push a TF-A/uboot image to DRAM and boot/run from DRAM withno MMC/flash media ?

Already I can connect to STM32mp157C-dk2 by USB of DFU using STM32cubeprog. But I can't connect to STM32MP1157C-DK2 by SWD using STM32cubeprog. Is it possible or not? I always thank you for answer.
Hi everyone,I am trying to program CM4 proc using STM32CubeIDE (on Windows), i was following this tutorial:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Getting_started/STM32MP1_boards/STM32MP157C-DK2/Develop_on_Arm%C2%AE_Cortex%C2%AE-M4/Modify,_rebuild_and_reload_a_firmwareI am stuck at 6th part (connected board with usb to ST-link port), status widget at the right bottom says that connection state is "Idle" and cant find board IP, so i can't use debbuging thru linux core (entering board address from usb interface does't work as well).Serial console works but im not quite sure how to close it, it seems to reopen in background and when it is status says "console in use"This problem seems extremely simple and i am almost sure that i am missing sth obvious but i wasted lot of time and i cant figure it out.I'd really appreciate if sb help
Hello,I have started to use the OPENAMP framework, especially with the CubeMX generated file openamp.h to communicate between the A7 and M4.The example DK2_TIMER1_OpenAmp_Solution works fine, but unfortunately the CubeMX generates all the initialization of the OPENAMP framework in the main.c . Equivalent to the DK2_Timer1 example is also the following example on github:https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeMP1/tree/master/Projects/STM32MP157C-DK2/Applications/OpenAMP/OpenAMP_TTY_echo )Within my project, I would like to move the OPENAMP stuff into a separate c-file. However, when doing this I experienced a re-initialization of the rpmsg_virtio_device *rvdev e.g. rpmsg_endpoint ept. This resulted into a linux kernel crash on the A7 when too many endpoints are created ...Even though, as I can see in the directory structure, the fileMiddlewares/Third_Party/OpenAMP/virtual_driver/virt_uart.hdoes include the "openamp.h" and respectively uses functions from this CubeMX generated file
Hi,Our board is base on STM32MP157C-DK2 and the HW difference are...1. DK2 CN7 USB Type-C is replaced by micro USB and removed STUSB1600.2. DK2 CN6 PWR-IN is replaced by DC jack and CC1 is 0.4v to PA4 and CC2 keep 0v to PA5.And we would like to program SD card (16GB, 8GB) by STM32CubeProgrammer with FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp157c-dk2-trusted.tsvThe programmer can connect to our board via USB and this tsv is work to program DK2.Meanwhile the BOOT pin configures as USB mode (000b).Show the entire log as below:17:58:45 : STM32CubeProgrammer API v2.2.018:01:10 : Read TSV File: D:\AIRD\LiDAR\firmware\release_image\DK2\DK2-Trusted\FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp157c-dk2-trusted.tsv18:01:10 : Number of partitions: 918:01:50 : USB speed : High Speed (480MBit/s)18:01:50 : Manuf. Hi all I have St-link v2 and I am facing a problem for debugging Cortex M in stm32mp157-ev1. I think it is because of the differences between HW Vesion and FW in keil document and my results. In attachment image is mentioned stlink v2-1. Shall i use Stlink V2 instead of V2-1? How do I change my version of the Stlink from V2 to V2-1? Best regards

I'm attempting to activate I2C5 on I2C_EXT connector CN13 on the board. Prior instructions were to generate device tree code in STMCubeMX. Done that, but something looks weird. All HW documentation and EV1 user documentation indicates that I2C5 is physically wired to MP157A PA11, PA12. In the device tree output excerpt below, note that SCL(I2C5) comes out as expected but it keeps tossing SDA(I2C5) over to port PZ/mux -- I have no clue why it's doing this or if it is correct in some deeper pin-mux that I have not yet discovered. Please advise on the attached excerpt form STM32CubeMX device tree output.
Hi supporter, I installed the STM32CubeIDE v1.3.0 on my macos. After install success, I try to debug example project. The console window show "stm32mp1x.cfg can not found". Hello, I ask for your help.My problem is I have my own custom board, I don't know how to make fsbl binary.I have a evaluation board, STM32MP157C-EV1.I did a Distribution package by Yocto System. The FlashLayout_emmc_stm32mp157c-ev1-optee.tsv file was created and I uploaded it to EMMC.Of course, I used that program 'STM32CubeProgrammer'.Here is the link I referenced: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Getting_started/STM32MP1_boards/STM32MP157x-EV1/Let%27s_start/Populate_the_target_and_boot_the_imagehttps://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/index.php/STM32MP1_Distribution_PackageHere is the manifestation I used: DISTRO=openstlinux-eglfs MACHINE=stm32mp1 source layers/meta-st/scripts/envsetup.shbitbake st-example-image-qtThe result is successful, STM32MP157C-EV1.But, The problem is custom board. AP is the same. STM32MP157AAA3.TSV Files using the STM32CubeProgrammer program cannot be uploaded to custom board.custom board's device tree created by CubeMX. But the problem is fsbl.I need to build a new fsbl
